There is a famous story where a Jew sees another Jew in a subway and he goes up to him asks him for the time. Jew #2 says another. Jew #1 repeats his request and Jew 2 again says nothing.

After much harassment by Jew 1, Jew 2 finally says, “I don’t want to tell you the time, because if I tell you the time, we’ll start shmoozing and eventually I’ll invite you to my home for Shabbos and then you’ll meet my daughter and I know you’ll want to marry her and I don’t want my daughter to marry a guy who doesn’t have a watch.”

The smarter you are, the better you are able to see the consequences of your actions and the more likely you are to be aloof. Whites are less aloof than asians but more aloof than blacks just as whites, on average, have lower IQs than asians but higher IQs than blacks. Blacks are more easy-going than whites who are in turn more easy going than asians. Blacks are more quick with a compliment than whites who are in turn more quick with a compliment than asians. Asians are more likely to be monogamous than whites who are in turn more likely to be monogamous than blacks. Asians are more likely to have a job than whites who are in turn more likely to have a job than blacks. Asians are more likely than whites to save money and to educate themselves and to preserve their family and to stay out of jail and to avoid STDs and stupid accidents.

How Is Modern Anti-Semitism Different?

Modern anti-Semitism (dating back to 1870) differs from older brands in that it has a program for dealing with Jews. “Anti-Semites began to address, recruit, and mobilize the lower orders…”

Prior to 1870, attacks on Jews were not well organized. After 1870, anti-Semites began to organize and get their act together.

From Esau’s Tears: Modern Anti-Semitism and the Rise of the Jews by Albert S. Lindemann:

A key unifying trait of these diverse anti-Jewish groups was anxiety about the economic changes of the time and more broadly about the meaning of a wide range of modern trends, many of which seemed to benefit Jews.

* A century later, when it became clear that the stock market scandals of the mid-to-late 1980s in the United States saw an overwhelming preponderance of Jews — at least ninety percent was a widely accepted figure — that clear correlations seemed to interest the broad American public scarcely at all… But in Germany in the 1870s popular interest and indignation were intense; demands for new controls over the stock market…blended into demands for greater controls over the free market generally. Such controls were especially necessary, it was believed, since Jews, now equal under the law, were so much inclined to go out of control in a liberal environment, to take an unfair and destructive advantage…

Otto Glagau: “No longer should false tolerance and sentimentality…prevent us Christians from moving against the excesses…and presumption of Jewry. No longer can we suffer to see the Jews push themselves everywhere to the front…everywhere seize leadership and dominate public opinion.”

…Those Jewish newly rich in Germany who had recent origins in the esatern European shtetlekh, where standards of civility or public manners were markedly different from those of Germany, were widely regarded as especially offensive…

Similar remarks concerning the public manners of Jews in large cities, New York being an obvious example, were common…

Theodor Herzl said that anti-Semitism served to “inhibit the ostentatious flaunting of conspicuous wealth, curb the unscrupulous behavior of Jewish financiers, and contribute in many ways to the education of the Jews.”

…[Heinrich] Graetz considered contemporary European civilization to be “morally and physically sick”…

Other Jewish observers regretfully commented upon the bad blood created not only by Graetz but also by other Jewish historians.

…Graetz had written much that was stunningly offensive to German sensibilities of the time and that would have offended even more self-confident peoples. In reviewing some of Graetz’s pages, Treitschke echoed the reactions of many Germans:

“What deadly hatred of the purest and most powerful exponents of German character, from Luther to Goethe and Fichte! And what hollow, offensive self-glorification! Here it is proved with continuous satirical invective that the nation of Kant was really educated to humanity by the Jews only…”

Graetz had written that Boerne and Heine had “renounced Judaism, but only like combatants who, putting on the uniform of the enemy, can all the more easily strike and annihilate him… To these two Jews the Germans owe their pure taste, their feeling for truth, and their impulse for liberty… They grafted wit and life on German literature, and banished that clumsiness and awkwardness which had aroused the ridicule of neighboring nations.”

In 1868, Graetz had written to Moses Hess, “I am looking forward with pleasure to flogging the Germans and their leaders — schleiermache, Fichte, and the whole wretched Romantic school.” In the same letter, he wrote “we must above all work to shatter Christianity.” Treitschke was not far off base when he angrily noted that “the man shakes with glee every time he can say something downright nasty against the Germans.”

Houston Stewart Chamberlain, the famous “evangelist of race” and Wagnerian anti-Semite, impishly remarked that attendance at the meetings of the political anti-Semites of these years [1880s] left him “full of pity and love for all Jews,” so repelled was he by the intellectual and moral tone he observed.

The Eruvim In Sydney, Melbourne

Rabbi Aaron Rakeffet-Rothkoff says: “It is no question that Chabad played the major role in the Yiddishkeit we have in Melbourne and Sydney. They have a major problem because the Lubavitcher Rebbe was against building an eruv and yet you will go to Melbourne, Sydney, and there it is, built by world-famous Chabad Hasidim.”

“The minute Reb Moshe [Feinstein] permitted an eruv in Kew Gardens, in Detroit… you are not going to have an Orthodox community in the world that will not have an eruv because the people are demanding it. Once Jews get used to life with an eruv, how can you live without an eruv? London, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Washington Heights, Melbourne, Sydney, South Africa, West Hamptom.”

Rabbi Aaron Rakeffet-Rothkoff: It Is Beyond Comprehension What’s Happened To Australia

Rabbi Aaron Rakeffet-Rothkoff says: “This is a country where there was no anti-Semitism. The greatest hero of WWI was General Monash, a proud Jew.”

“Australia is not what it used to be because of the Arabs. Who could believe that a member of the Israeli consul walking home from shul on Friday night a few months ago, there was a big attack in the heart of Sydney. He was injured. Others were injured. Luckily no one was killed. It is beyond comprehension what has happened to Australia.”

It is only beyond comprehension if you bury your head in the sand. Some non-Jewish observers in Australia predicted this very problem in the 1930s. Australian Jews are in danger in Australia in Sydney and Melbourne, the two most multi-cultural Australian cities where Australians have the most first-hand experience with Jews. In places where Australians don’t know Jews, there’s much less anti-Semitism.

ESSAY: When the Australian government announced in December 1938 that 15,000 more refugees would be admitted over the following three years, the Catholic Advocate warned that:

“If the present policy of admitting large numbers of Jewish immigrants is continued, we are likely to be confronted by a rapid increase in anti-Semitism. … The Jews are not simply an international religious body like the Catholics: they are a nation with well-marked characteristics, both mental and physical, with their own virtues, vices and talents, and with their peculiar loyalties. … It is the sense of this difference which has caused friction between the Jew and his hosts throughout the ages, and which has constantly brought tragedy to the Jews.”

Deeply concerned at increasing Jewish power and influence in Australia, Stephensen [of Australia First] declared:

“The answer to Semitism is anti-Semitism; and when Jews gain too many advantages for themselves, by their practice of self-segregation, they invariably find (and surely should expect to find!) that the majority of non-Jews will resent, and eventually will curb, the privileges which the Jews have won for themselves by concerted sectional action. That is what will inevitably occur in Australia sooner or later, if a large colony of self-segregating Jews is allowed now to establish itself in our community.”

For Stephensen, Jewish ethnocentrism and endogamy were at the heart of the Jewish problem, and the solution to this problem was simple:

“It is well known that there are many Jews who are good citizens, honest and cultured, despite the reputation of the generality of their kind of being financially “tricky”, unscrupulous, and parasitical. That there are intellectual and sensitive Jews is also as well-known as that there are many “Flash Yids” who degrade and debase public culture. No case can be made against Jews generally, except … that their insistence on racial self-segregation is anti-social, considered from the point of view of the community as a whole. We cannot concede to them in Australia a right which, if conceded in perpetuity to other types of immigrant … would lead to the sectionalizing of the community and its disunification. … The remedy is that the Jewish Race should abolish itself, by becoming absorbed in the common stream of mankind. [Otherwise] we others, who are so strictly excluded from the Jewish community, have at least a reciprocal right to exclude them from ours.”

Michael Bloomberg Says The Purpose Of Gun Control Laws Is To Keep Guns Out Of The Hands Of Young Black Males

REPORT: An audio recording of a talk former New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg has attempted to block from being broadcast has surfaced online.

The full audio of the Feb. 6 event, held at the Aspen Institute, shows that the 73-year-old media mogul’s remarks about minorities and gun control were even more candid in some respects than initially reported.

“It’s controversial, but first thing is all of your — 95 percent of your murders, and murderers, and murder victims fit one [unintelligible]. You can just take the description, Xerox it, and pass it out to all of the cops. They are male, minorities, 15 to 25. That’s true in New York, it’s true in virtually every city in America,” said Bloomberg.

“It’s all the same group. Nobody in New York gets murdered — if you get murdered the first thing you want to do is [ask] ‘what were you selling or who are your family members.’ Because it just has to be you’re a drug dealer or you [unintelligible] a family quarrel. There’s just no other kind of murder whatsoever,” Bloomberg asserted.

I’ve Been Talking To A Singer About Kol Isha

Judaism prohibits men from listening to a woman sing in public.

“It’s interesting that it’s men who are thought to be aroused by women’s singing when there is really no such thing as male groupies whereas men who sing have tons and tons of female attention. I think men are much less likely to approach a woman who they heard sing in comparison to the throngs of young girls who chase male singers. So who is it that’s more easily turned on and less able to control themselves?”

Wait, there are thousands of men chasing Barbara Streisand.

Jewish laws of modesty are not about proving which sex is superior but about maintaining a certain sense of community and propriety.

Esau’s Tears: Modern Anti-Semitism and the Rise of the Jews by Albert S. Lindemann III

Professor Lindemann writes:

By the middle years of the nineteenth century, the term “race” came to be commonly and unapologetically used by nearly everyone… Most observers concluded that there was a link between body type and psyche; the common use, again by Jews and non-Jews, of the term the “Jewish race” is a prime example… [F]ew questioned that there was a Jewish race. Many spoke of it as an unusually clear example of a pure race…

A number of twentieth-century anthropologists have observed that primitive tribes typically do not recognize the humanity of others; indeed the very concept of a universal humanity is alien to the thought patterns of primitive peoples…

The sons of Noah were supposed to have fathered the major races of the world: Japheth was the father of the Europeans; Shem of the “Orientals” (which included the Jews); and Ham of the Africans (Gen. 9.21-27) The Book of Deuteronomy has been described as providing a religious source for modern racism, and its various exhortations concerning the extermination of the indigenous peoples of Canaan (eg. Deut. 19, 20) offer justification, for those who seek it, for policies of racial extermination.

In talmudic commentary, protoracist elements are common. The rabbis increase the racist potential of the story of Ham beyond the bare biblical text, for example, by making the sons of Ham “ugly and dark-skinned.” Thus, religious exclusiveness meshed with “racial” exclusiveness, for in traditional Judaism lineage or ancestry (yikhus) — indeed, hereditary or “racial” sinfulness, as int he case of the descendants of Ham — remained categories of central importance… In the opinion of later influential Jewish thinkers, such as the Maharal, inborn racial qualities were to be found in every nation; he considered it impossible that a member of one nation could become part of another…

Judaism, or at least major and deep-rooted traditional interpretations of it, must be considered only uncertainly a community of belief; mixed into the belief system of the religion as traditionally defined are “essentialist” (or “racist”) notions in that one is born a Jew…

The Jewish priestly caste (kohanim) is ruled by especially stringent regulations. Its members may not, for example, marry a convert to Judaism, why by definition lacks the necessary ancestry. A Gentile child, adopted by Jews at birth and brought up according to the faith, must still at a later point undergo a formal, individual conversion ceremony, according to halakha. Such a child can never qualify for priestly status, even if the ancestry of his adoptive parents would permit it for their natural children. A mamzer (roughly, a bastard, the product of adultery between Jews) may never marry a “full” or “real” Jew (that is, one born of a properly married Jewish mother), however faultless his practice of Judaism. Unions between mamzerim and Gentile converts are permitted, since both qualify as inferior types of Jews… Again, their moral probity or fidelity to the beliefs and rituals of Judaism, no matter how perfect, cannot alter their lower status…

Nazis, too, said that one is born a Jew and Jewishness could never be relinquished.

“Blood,” “seed,” and “soul” have been used by Jews in defining Jewishness, and according to such definitions Jewish qualities have been seen as both permanent and mysteriously latent or immanent, springing from inner, invisible, or otherwise obscure determinants — an unchanging and unchangeable Jewish essence. Even a modern Jew like Freud, who had broken entirely with traditional Jewish belief, spoke of a mysterious “inner identity of Jews,” since they have…a similar “psychic structure,” “a miarculous thing in common, which [is] inaccessible to any analysis so far.” Eugene Borowitz has recently written that Jews have a mystical bond with one another, which allows them to “know how to find” one another.

The belief that blood in some way determines character was held long before the advent of Christianity in Europe and lies deep in European culture…

Jewish blood, then, was widely believed, by non-Jews and Jews alike, to be responsible for Jewish character. Indeed, the argument in favor of an unmixed strain of blood was assumed to be especially strong in the Jewish case, because of the Jews’ non-European origin and their own stringent prohibitions against intermarriage…

Yiddish-speaking Jews distinguished between Gentile koyekh (brutish, physical power) and Jewish moyekh (brains, guile, mental subtlety), a distinction related to those identified with Esau and Jacob. Non-Jews throughout most of recorded European history seem to have been impressed with a peculiar Jewish sharpness of intellect, a cleverness and cunning that baptism did not alter…

In spite of his having converted to Christianity as a child, [Benjamin Disraeli] emphatically insisted that he remained a member of the Jewish race. He believed, moreover, that the Jewish race had been extremely influential in the course of European civilization. That influence was to be explained…by the inherent genius of the Jewish race and because of the way Jews stuck together, assiduously keeping their race pure and disregarding national borders in pursuit of common interests as Jews…

In his novel Coningsby, Disraeli depicted a vast and secret power of Jews, bent on dominating the world. His noble Jewish character, Sidonia (based on Lionel Rothschild), describes race as a supremely important determinant (“all is race; there is no other truth”)…

Consistent with the belief that if a race became impure, it would weaken and decline, he wrote that if the “great Anglo-Saxon republic” [the United States] allowed its white population “to mingle with [its] negro and coloured populations” it would be the beginning of the end for the new country…

It was the ever more extensive contact with sub-Saharan Africa that seems to have reinforced racist interpretations of European superiority… African appeared physically more primitive to European observers, more animal-like… A popular work on slave buying described black Africans as “fickle and careless. Dancing and beating time are engrained in their nature.”

…[Immanuel Kant] concluded that race was both distinctive and immutable. Climate would not make blacks out of Scandinavians transplanted to central Africa, nor would African blacks become blond and white-skinned if moved to northern Europe.

…[H]e still implicitly accepted that there were distinctly different and permanent spiritual qualities, as there were physical, among the various races of mankind…

The concept of race also meshed nicely with the kind of nationalism that began to gain strength in the course of the nineteenth century, since one aspect of that nationalism was a belief that certain groups, or races, properly belonged within the confines of certain nation-states. The French race, the German race, the Italian race, so the reasoning went, deserved a nation-state composed uniquely of the appropriate race.

Johann Gottfried von Herder was an admirer of Hebrew literature, but he saw a deep-seated corruption in the Jews of his day, deriving from their long-standing status as peddlers, merchants, and moneylenders… He, like nearly all of his contemporaries, including Mendelssohn, did not believe that Jews were or could become Germans.

Count Arthur de Gobineau (1816-1882)…dismissed environmentalist theories of the rise and fall of civilizations, nothing that civilizations rose, failed to rise, or declined in the same kind of environment. The real cause for the periods of decadence in earlier civilizations, he asserted, was the mixing of races, the corruption of aristocratic blood by that of the inferior races. The lowest of all human races, he believed, was the Negro, and the lower classes in countries like France had qualities like those of Negroes: low intelligence and self-discipline, an inability to organize socially, and an overdeveloped sensuality and an inclination to destructive rampages…

Moses Hess (1812-1875) [said] Judaism would become the spiritual guide of humankind, whereas Christianity, “a religion of death”, would wither. He was a good friend of [German-Jewish historian Heinrich] Graetz, who wrote him of his delight in “scourging” Germans. Graetz added that “we must above all work to shatter Christianity.”

Jewish racism, and of course Zionism, could build upon the tribalistic-nationalistic elements within Judaism, but no doubt equally important in the nineteenth century was the simple fact that nearly everyone believed in racial determinism…

The French-Jewish man of letters Julien Benda reported that among his Jewish acquaintances at the end of the century “were certain magnates, financiers rather than literary men, with whom the belief in the superiority of their race and in the natural subjection of those who did not belong to it, was visibly sovereign.” Similarly, a number of Jewish politicians on the left in France harbored a sense of their special merit or destiny as Jews to be political leaders, what they considered as their “right to rule.”

…The work of Sir Francis Galton, Hereditary Genius (1869), listed Jews as one of the groups that should be encouraged to reproduce, because of their racial superiority. Alphonse de Candolle, perhaps the most influential theoretician of race inside France, considered Jews to be a crowning culmination of the white race…

Darwin was merely the most famous of a growing corp of natural scientists who took pride in careful procedures, exact measurements, and theories based on solid facts. Darwin’s illustrious contemporary, Paul Broca, the founder of the Anthropological Society of Paris in 1859, focused his attention on a meticulous measuring of human bodies. He devoted particular attention to an obvious human organ, the brain. Did a larger one mean greater intelligence? And did different races have different-sized brains? Broca arrived at a positive answer to both of those questions, based on careful measurement. Negroes have smaller brains than Europeans, just as women have smaller brains than men.

…Broca was a man of the left, and what is particularly interesting in his case is that he did not ostensibly want to believe in human inequality, but he felt driven in the direction of believing in the inequality of races, and sexes, by what he deemed overwhelming evidence… He stated that it was necessary for scientists to put aside their ethical hopes for human equality: Truth was truth, even if unpleasant, and the truth was that races were unequal.

…Jules Carvallo…concluded that since Jews had a larger cranial capacity than other races, they were particularly suited to survive in the world. Another Frenchman, Alfred Legoyt, emphasized the lower death rate among Jews as further scientific or objective evidence of their biological superiority…

The brilliant and famous Scottish anatomist Robert Knox proclaimed, “race is everything, civilization depends upon it.”

Modern Times by Paul Johnson

I’m rereading this book (revised in 2001):

On 5 April 1940 , four days before the Nazi invasion of Norway began the European phase of the war in earnest, Goebbels gave a secret briefing to selected German journalists, one of whom made a transcript. The key passage is as follows:

“Up to now we have succeeded in leaving the enemy in the dark concerning Germany’s real goals, just as before 1932 our domestic foes never saw where we were going or that our oath of legality was just a trick. We wanted to come to power legally, but we did not want to use power legally … . They could have suppressed us. They could have arrested a couple of us in 1925 and that would have been that, the end. No, they let us through the danger zone. That’s exactly how it was in foreign policy too … . In 1933 a French premier ought to have said (and if I had been the French premier I would have said it): The new Reich Chancellor is the man who wrote Mein Kampf, which says this and that. This man cannot be tolerated in our vicinity. Either he disappears or we march!’ But they didn’t do it. They left us alone and let us slip through the risky zone, and we were able to sail around all dangerous reefs. And when we were done, and well armed, better than they, then they started the war.”

This remarkable statement is, on the whole, an accurate summary of what happened in the 1930s…

Hitler’s full programme, therefore, was as follows. First, gain control of Germany itself, and begin the cleansing process at home. Second, destroy the Versailles settlement and establish Germany as the dominant power in Central Europe. All this could be achieved without war. Third, on this power basis, destroy the Soviet Union (by war) to rid the ‘breeding-ground’ of the ‘bacillus’ and, by colonization, create a solid economic and strategic power-base from which to establish a continental empire, in which France and Italy would be mere satellites. In the fourth stage Germany would acquire a large colonial empire in Africa, plus a big ocean navy, to make her one of the four superpowers, in addition to Britain, Japan and the United States. Finally, in the generation after his death, Hitler envisaged a decisive struggle between Germany and the United States for world domination.

No one since Napoleon had thought in such audacious terms. In its gigantic scope the concept was Alexandrine. Yet until he was engulfed by the war he made, Hitler was always pragmatic. Like Lenin he was a superb opportunist, always ready to seize openings and modify his theory accordingly. This has led some historians to conclude he had no master-programme. In fact, while always adjusting the tactics to suit the moment, he pursued his long-term strategy with a brutal determination which has seldom been equalled in the history of human ambition. Unlike most tyrants, he was never tempted to relax by a surfeit of autocratic power. Quite the contrary. He was always raising the stakes on the table and seeking to hasten the pace of history. He feared his revolution would lose its dynamism.

He thought himself indispensable, and at least four of his phases must be accomplished while he was still not only alive but at the height of his powers. It was his impatience which made him so dangerous in the short term and so ineffectual in the long term (the very reverse of the Soviet strategists). In a secret speech to German newspaper editors in November 1938, after his great Munich triumph, he deplored the fact that his need to talk about peace had led the German nation to relax too much. He argued that for Germany to accept peace, and thus stability, as a permanent fact of international life was to accept the very spirit of defeatism. Violence was a necessity, and the public must be prepared for it.

New IDF Chief Faces Herculean Task?

Nowhere does this analysis mention that Israel is the Middle East’s strongest military power and that it has no close competitor.

I was asked by a mate in Australia yesterday what I thought about the back and forth between Obama and Netanyahu. I said it had little real meaning. It is all for show. Netanyahu can’t say that Jews should move to Israel to be safe and claim at the same time that Iran is a deadly threat to Israel. Iran’s building of nuclear weapons is in its strategic interest. Iran has not launched an offensive war in about 300 years.

YNET: There are only two things about which we can be almost completely certain: The likelihood of a war breaking out on more than one front during Eisenkot’s term is much higher than during his predecessors’ terms, and the window of opportunities for a peace agreement has been almost completely shut.
