Anti-Americanism

As an Australian in America, I have never encountered anti-Australian prejudice. I don’t know many Brits who’ve encountered anti-British sentiment in America.

But if you go to Australia or the United Kingdom or Europe, you’ll find about a third of people have a huge anti-American chip on their shoulder.

I think this hatred is very similar to Jew hatred. People resent Jews for what they represent — the call to a higher moral law. People resent Americans because the United States of America is the one country — aside from Israel — that stands for a universal value system.

Boring Dates

In his book on happiness, Dennis Prager has a page on boring dates.

On his radio show Jan. 7, 2010, Dennis said: “I bore easily. One of the reasons I am interesting is that I bore easily. I would bore me if I weren’t interesting. I have the attention-span of a seven-year-old.

“I went on many dates prior to being married and a certain number were boring. I wrote about that. It was classic Prager taking lemons and making lemonade. I started to analyze why do I find this person boring?

“I found there were two things that were universal about boring people. A. They had no passion. Passionless people are not interesting.

“B. Boring people speak about themselves the whole time.

“I never like to talk about myself outside of radio and public speeches… I’m tired of hearing me.”

Yeshiva University Attempts To Ban Whistleblower Robert Frank From Friday Night Prayers

Here’s an email about Mashgiach Robert Frank

Dear Luke,

I have another story for you. On Friday night when Robert Frank and his wife went to synagogue — services are held in a cafeteria on the Albert Einstein School of Medicine at Yeshiva University — as they walked in to the services, they were stopped by the security guard. He told us he had orders not to let them enter. The vice-president of the synagogue was walking in to the services and saw what was happening and intervened. The Franks were allowed to enter the synagogue, but a few minutes later, the same guard came up to Robert and insisted that they leave. The president of the synagogue saw what was happening and intervened. He was told by the guard that he had orders to throw them out. The synagogue president asked the guard to call his supervisor. The guard called his supervisor. When the supervisor came over, he told the president of the synagogue the same story. That he had orders not to allow the Franks to pray in the building. The synagogue president told the supervisor that no one informed him or any synagogue officer or the rabbi of the Franks not being allowed to pray.

So the synagogue president made an arrangement with the security supervisor that the Franks could attend the services for the remainder of the Sabbath until the synagogue president could contact someone in authority to see what is going on.

This is retaliation for Robert Frank going to the media with the kosher fraud story.

American Airline Security Checkers Seem As Dumb As Rocks

I always feel like I’m rubbing up against the bottom of America’s barrel when I go through security checks at an American airports. The people doing them appear bored and incompetent.

They appear a lot dumber than any of their peers around the world. Those doing the checking in Europe and Australia appear a ton smarter.

So why do we get the dregs in America? I don’t know. It appears that affirmative action plays an important role in hiring. I don’t see people being hired for their merit. They get hired for acting like sheep.

Rob Eshman writes in the Jewish Journal:

Failed Messiah Profiled

Samuel G. Freedman writes in the New York Times:

Leaders of the Chabad movement declined to speak on the record about Mr. Rosenberg, but in general, they say he has exaggerated the degree of messianism in the movement and that he is driven to settle scores. Even they, though, acknowledge he has gotten some embarrassing things right.

Jewish Women Are Hot

From Details Magazine:

In a recent poll on the porn blog Fleshbot, “Jewish girls” ranked second among kinks (the winner: “freckles”). Jewesses aren’t just the rage in the triple-X realm, either: They’re seducing goyim on Mad Men and Glee and giving movie geeks conniptions over reports of JILF-on-JILF action between Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis in Darren Aronofsky’s upcoming Black Swan.

That Jewish women have become the ethnic fetish du jour is all the more remarkable given that Jews represent a truly tiny minority (2.2 percent) of the U.S. population. In recent years, God’s chosen menfolk have been objects of affection, too, though they draw their appeal from cuddly schlubbiness, not sexual energy

Climate Change Vs. Global Warming

On hour one of his radio show today, Dennis Prager read a snide letter reproving Dennis for talking about “global warming” instead of “climate change.”

Dennis: The mental gymnastic that those of you who continue to believe that carbon dioxide emission from humans will wreak havoc on the planet because of over-heating.

I’m corrected all the time now: “Don’t use the term “global warming.” That was made up by the press. We never use global warming. We use climate change.”

They used “global warming” at the beginning but now the globe isn’t warming, it’s freezing. Remember how they predicted the most horrific hurricanes? We had one of the mildest hurricane seasons ever, but it doesn’t matter. Whenever they are caught in their phony predictions, they move on to new environmentalist religious rhetoric. Truth doesn’t matter.

I want to clarify the chicanery of calling it “climate change” instead of “global warming.”

Let’s say it was climate change. So what? The only thing people care about is global warming.

Give me one good reason for not using the term global warming. Why object? If the world isn’t warming, then there’s no danger, right?

Why do they object? Because they are perpetuating a fraud.

If the climate is changing colder, they should have no problem.

Shannon Orand’s Conversion To Judaism

From The Jerusalem Post:

However, when news broke of her relationship with Tropper in the final stages of her court battle, she was forced to sign a settlement that would allow her ex-husband visitation rights with their son.

In parallel, leaders of Houston’s Jewish community reacted to the first reports of the Tropper incident by requesting that Orand remove her children from the local Jewish school. And Orand was told not to set foot on its premises.

However, when media coverage of the story increased Orand and her children were permitted into the school.

Meanwhile, the Houston conversion court, which was slated to convert Orand, put off its decision.

Orand was afraid she would be prevented from converting. A friend got Orand in contact with Eliyahu, who expressed willingness to help.

YISROEL PENSACK HAS SOME QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS ARTICLE:

…a third rabbi who preferred to remain anonymous.

[YP asks: Who is he, and why does he prefer to remain anonymous? Luke says: Rabbi Osteroff. He said he wanted to stay anonymous for reasons of “modesty.”]

____________________________________________________

They also said her children, from two previous marriages, had been enrolled in the local Jewish school.

___________________________________________________________

Rabbi Nahum Eisenstein, chairman of the International Rabbinical Committee for Conversion Matters, who is close to Tropper, said that the decision by the Israeli rabbis went against rabbinical ethics.

“Since there was a file open in the Houston Rabbinical Court which has not been closed yet it is unacceptable according to rabbinical ethics to do what they did, especially when we are talking about a woman who did a quickie conversion in Israel and immediately went back to the US,” said Eisentstein, who added that the goal of his committee is to set proper conversion standards and procedures.

“Obviously, the people involved had some personal interest.

[YP asks: WHO PAID FOR HER QUICK ROUND-TRIP TO ISRAEL? And, were her children converted along with her by the same beis din in Israel, and did her children travel with her to and from Israel? Normally, minor children are converted together with the converting mother, I think. How old are her children?]

_____________________________________________________________

She explained that she was introduced to Tropper by a mutual friend in 2006.

[YP asks: WHO was the mutual friend?]

__________________________________________________

Also, she was receiving money from Tropper to help pay the legal costs of a custody battle with her ex-husband,

[YP asks: If true, why was Tropper paying her legal costs in her custody battle?]

________________________________________________________

Orand was afraid she would be prevented from converting. A friend got Orand in contact with Eliyahu, who expressed willingness to help.

[YP asks: Who’s this unnamed friend, and why in particular did this friend contact Eliyahu? Was this “friend” the same person as the previously-mentioned, unnamed “mutual friend” who she says introduced her to Tropper in 2006?]

How Did He Vote For Obama?

I am live on my cam:

Casey: Hey Luke, can you explain to me how I was deluded into voting for Obama last fall?
YourMoralLeader: it felt good
Casey: (Nice posture, btw — not very sunken into your hips at all)
Casey: I wonder why it felt good… I’m about to rage about this guy. Nobody cares about liberty anymore.
Casey: It’s hard to keep my eye on G-d when all this B.S. is so difficult to ignore.
YourMoralLeader: you serve God, my son, by trashing Obama
Casey: Haha… Glenn Beck said today, “To disobey tyranny is to serve God.”
Casey: Have you done Guru Gurmukh’s Kundalini Yoga tape?
YourMoralLeader: no tapes
Casey: No tapes for you? Just classes? How do you afford it all? Credit cards?
Casey: Maybe Obama will declare Kundalini classes “a human right” as part of the healthcare bill…
Casey: Do you ever watch TV?
YourMoralLeader: dallas cowboys
YourMoralLeader: netflix
Casey: Oh. America’s team.
Casey: Netflix, yeah?–
Casey: I think you’d like Dexter… about the murderous detective.
Casey: There’s a good underplot of fatherstuff.
Casey: it’s a Showtime series… you can get it on instant download. I was watching last week and thought about you… not because of the murder, tho’
YourMoralLeader: i’ve started watching it
YourMoralLeader: is there sex/ nudity?
Casey: You like it? Yeah — there is some… with some really fine women, too. But not so much that it’ll give you an opportunity to lust.
Casey: unless you pause it or something whack like that.
