NYT: European Union Ministers Approve Plan to Distribute Refugees

Comments to Steve Sailer:

* Reflecting on the importance of language, we see in this piece another example why we always lose: It’s “right-wing politicians” vs. “humanitarians”. Gee, I wonder which side is the good guys?

It’s just like in this country. We have “the religious right” or “hardcore conservatives” who respond to “red meat” and “hot button” issues, against “advocates for civil rights (or women’s health or the environment)”. It’s all in the language.

* They’re not just addressing the migrants already in Europe. They’re creating a plan to facilitate the influx of millions more.

This catastrophe is far from over.

* Way, way back in the mid 1960s, Enoch Powell MP was actually in favor of Britain joining the fledgling EEC, the forerunner to the EU.
Powell thought at the time that it was simply a free trade pact, and like many others at that time thought that the relatively underperforming UK economy needed an economic boost.

However, Powell’s opinion changed. He took the time to actually study the EU and what it was all about – full economic, fiscal, monetary and political union. Powell realised that this inevitably meant the extinction of a thousand years of English national independence, sovereignty and self determination. In other words, foreign powers would have the ability to make political decisions unwanted and unwelcome by the British electorate. A price that cannot be paid under any circumstances.
Powell, a Tory, resigned from the Conservative Party and urged voters to vote Labour in the General Election of November 1974. Labour promised EU withdrawal, a promise they reneged upon.

Powell has been proved right.

* If a nation state has absolutely no control whatsoever over who actually claims as ‘right’ the ability to live in that state, then that so-called ‘nation state’ has absolutely no point to its existence whatsoever. It is, more or less, just a geographical expression, a term for an administrative region, a description for one bit of the earth’s landscape.
Whatever that administrative region is it is certainly not a ‘nation’ nor a ‘state’.

* . The obamacare issue was posed to conservatives, “Why are you opposed to healthcare?” African supremacy is, “Do you oppose civil rights for Africans?” Invasion becomes, “Are you opposed to helping refugees?” Or, “Why do you oppose immigration reform?”

The leftists’ control of media has enabled their total control of political language. Trump (and now Carson following in his shadow) upsets that model because of the huge audience he has and his immunity to the penalties normally imposed on violators. Carson has the whip hand since he is retired and cannot be called “racist.”

* I think we won’t see islamized Germany or any other Western European state for some time. Islamized in a sense that there is Sharia law. There is still not enough of Muslims in Europe.

What we will see in my opinion is a balkanized Europe, with lower social trust, small closed communities nested among sea of atomized individuals, a lot of informal no-go areas depending on your race and ethnicity. Everything will be governed by increasingly powerful and pervasive transnational bureaucracy, which paradoxically will at he same time be unable to govern many areas – like law enforcement in aforementioned closed communities. Expect a lot of “propaganda of success” about successful integration of yet another batch of migrants from Africa, and posters on dilapidated walls depicting smiling children from many races playing happily together. Also – gay prides will mysteriously disappear. Everything will cost more and everyday living will resemble walking through mine fields.

Conservative Rabbi: Jews in America struggled for decades to become white. Now we must give up whiteness to fight racism.

Comments to Steve Sailer:

* Gil Steinlauf, the senior rabbi at Adas Israel Congregation in Washington, D.C., told his congregation that they “must teach our children that we are, in fact, not white, but simply Jewish.”

It’s a hilarious piece. He even mentions Jews being banned from country clubs back in the day. Looks like the rabbi understands which way the winds are blowing in this country and wants his flock to ditch the losing team.

* If you want people to pick your side, as opposed to the other, then they need to know that there will be ill consequences for them if they pick the other.

Steve’s criticism of Jews acting all Frankfurt School does this.

This is not the whole picture though. Those people also need to know that if they pick your side and you, together, win, that they won’t still suffer ill consequences.

Unfortunately the crazy levels of Jew-obsessed criticism on the alt-right works against this.

Now, of course, I don’t think that most people sit down and think about all of this rationally, but it surely plays a very important role in directing people’s emotional sympathies and, it seems, emotional sympathies are everything nowadays.

Furthermore, I am sure, that the Rabbi in question is motivated by the same factors that push all sorts of people into ‘a flight from white.’

There are so many more privileges to be had in being non-white in our culture. In this case, perhaps if Jews were considered less white, there would be no BDS movement, just as there is no BDS movement for Saudi Arabia, despite the fact that their bombing of Yemen is many times more inhumane than Israel’s (still inhumane) treatment of Gaza. Or India for the caste system, Indonesia for Timor and China for Tibet….well, Tibet had a movement sticking up for it but it has simmered down quite a lot.

Since white Hispanics are running from the white identity and now so are Jews, I wonder which group will be next? Or will all whites end up claiming to be racially mixed like Elizabeth Warren? Certainly if I ever apply for anything important I will be claiming to be Hispanic…maybe that my parents were from the south of Brazil?

It is not just jobs and other tangible benefits either but also freedom of speech in conversation. Having to speak from a position of ‘white privilege’ is like creeping around on egg shells. If you can claim to be non-white you can actually relax and speak freely! I think gays use their sexuality as a way to be granted honorary non-white status too, as do women occasionally.

Ultimately we live in a victimhood culture and some people, for reasons mostly of birth, find it easier to claim the huge privileges that come with socially accepted victimhood. They can then amplify these privileges with tantrums and overly-sensitive behaviour. It is a tremendous source of social power just as having honour was in the Middle Ages.

It is the power to be right by default in conversation and the power to speak freely. It is the power to be favoured by the law and to receive special and privileged treatment from most institutions. It is, on its face, an unalloyed good for the individual who gets it and I can’t blame Jews for trying to have it as well.

What I can do, though, is warn them. Not only will it be bad for them if they continue and this victimhood culture is ever dispelled but also latching onto this culture is terrible for your mental health.

By seeing yourself as a victim you oddly lose a real sense of identity and instead receive it from the way those around you treat you. This breeds exceptional anxiety, a feeling of emptiness and depression. It will ruin your children, especially.

They will seek ever greater emotional stimulation, in order to fill the hole in their soul, and be self-destructive in extremis, even as they are toxic to those around them. There is a reason why societies do not remain mired in this culture of victimhood and that is because it is most toxic to those self-styled victims it empowers…after all, it empowers them for their own self-destruction.

Donald Trump Believes In HBD (Human Bio-Diversity)

Does anyone doubt that Donald Trump will be tougher on Muslims in America than any other presidential candidate?

Dave Weigel writes:

Donald Trump’s current take on Muslims: They’re not Swedes

In a new interview with CBS News anchor Scott Pelley, Donald Trump explains that his failure to correct a New Hampshire town hall attendee’s paranoia about Islam was due not to bigotry, but to realism.

“I love the Muslims,” says Trump. “Now we could say there are no problems with the Muslims. There’s no problems. There’s no terrorism. There’s no problems. There’s no anything. They didn’t knock down the World Trade Center. To the best of my knowledge the people that knocked down the World Trade Center — you know where they’re — they didn’t fly back to Sweden, okay.”

Trump’s quick invocation of Sweden, a mostly Lutheran nation not known for violence of any kind, might have come as a surprise, if he hadn’t done it so recently. The Republican front-runner’s concise argument for religious profiling has come up again and again in the wake of the Islam gaffe.

“I think that a lot of people see it and they see what’s happening and they turn on their television every night and they see all of the tremendous damage and destruction that’s being caused and, you know, they hear about ISIS and they figure ISIS is not exactly located in the middle of Sweden,” Trump told Fox News’s Greta Van Susteren on Monday’s episode of “On the Record.” “I said the other day to somebody, ‘you know, I don’t notice too many Swedish people going back after the bombing of the World Trade Center.'”

Previously, it was CNN’s turn to hear about the Swedes. “You have radicals that are doing things,” Trump told Jake Tapper on this past Sunday’s episode of “State of the Union.” “I mean, it wasn’t people from Sweden who blew up the World Trade Center, Jake.”

And four years ago, during Trump’s brief and aborted flirtation with a presidential campaign, he trotted out the Swedish line when Fox News’s Bill O’Reilly asked if there was a “Muslim problem in the world.”

“Absolutely,” said Trump. “Absolutely. I didn’t notice Swedish people knocking down the World Trade Center.”

The 19 hijackers directly involved with the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks hailed from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Lebanon. Trump is correct in saying that none were Swedish.

* I’m gunna repost a link to an article in that notoriously xenophobic rag, The Economist.

It’s primarily about Somali immigrants in Britain – only 1 in 10 of whom works a full-time job – but it also contains a useful graph detailing the employment rates (including part-time employment) of various immigrant groups in England and Wales.

Employment Rate by Nationality:
1) New Zealanders – 80%
2) Poles – 78%
3) Lithuanians – 78%
4) Bangladeshis – 43%
5) Afghans – 42%
6) Somalis – 30%

In other words, an immigrant from New Zealand – most likely belonging to that lazy, Anglo-Saxon/Celtic population which comprises Great Britain – is almost twice as likely to be employed as someone from the brave, hardworking, vibrant Muslim peoples of the sub-continent.

* “The fungibility of people is the core tenet of PC – the religion of the modern era.

People are fungible, but diverse. People are different, but not in any meaningful way, which is why diversity is of the utmost importance. One of my favorite doctrines of the Church of PC.

This is of a piece with all of their other doctrines:

1) It is perfectly ok and even morally obligatory to use drugs and surgery to turn a male into a female (or vice versa) – even on prepubescent minors – but it is akin to genocide to use mild psychotherapy to try to help a gay adolescent become straight.

2) Developing technologies and medicines to help “men in women’s bodies” to more easily become women will be fastracked, but technologies and medicines to help gay kids be straight or help men feel comfortable in their male body will be defunded and banned.

3) Abortion is ok at any point during pregnancy for any reason, unless that abortion is to abort a gay kid or a female.

4) The world is overpopulated, which is why Western countries need to open their borders and be flooded with Third Worlders.

5) Incentives (e.g., welfare) don’t alter human behavior, ever.

* It’s funny the old time Wehrmacht operating in North Africa had no problems with the locals. They just made it clear if they f**ked with their men, they’d kill lots of Muzzies on the spot.

Worked like a charm.

When the Americans invaded they made the mistake of using Arab laborers who proceeded to steal us blind, we then went to using Italian POWs which worked out quite well.

When we asked the Germans why they didn’t have problems they stated they shot them on the spot for stealing.

It’s about the only thing Arabs understand.

Steve Sailer: A general rule: The whiter a black is culturally, the more ethnocentric he will be politically

Steve Sailer writes in 2007: A reader points out:

“I have always been amused that Kanye West, the benign rapper with the art school background and the English professor mother, is the one into trendy political grandstanding and accusing Bush of not caring about black people, whereas 50 Cent, the gangsta rapper with the South Jamaica, Queens background and the cocaine-dealer mother, is the one who makes occasionally favorable references to Bush and doesn’t think Katrina should be blamed on any people in particular.”

He also points out that in 1972, another black celebrity endorsed Richard Nixon besides Sammy Davis Jr. (who agonized for rest of his life over whether he had betrayed his people) and Wilt Chamberlain (who did not): James Brown. You can’t get any blacker culturally than Soul Brother Number One, so that gave Brown more freedom politically to be nonstereotypical.

I’m sure there are plenty of exceptions to this tendency, but it appears relevant to Barack’s Obama’s life story.

Steve Sailer writes this week: Commenter AndrewR asks:

“Tangentially, if the GOP is the “white party” then why are black Republicans always so dark?”

This isn’t a universal pattern (Colin Powell), but it’s likely true as a tendency: e.g., Ben Carson, Herman Cain, Clarence Thomas, Thomas Sowell, etc.

Obama’s consigliere Valerie Jarrett is a fairly amusing example of the Democratic appeal to the other end of the African American color range.

Part of the explanation may have to do with colorism among African Americans.

A long time ago, I read something by Sowell about, I believe, Patricia Roberts Harris, an African-American woman who was appointed to the Carter cabinet. Sowell was annoyed by gushing coverage of Roberts Harris as a courageous campaigner against bias by skin color, since her career was facilitated by membership in exclusive organizations like the Jack and Jill Club that discriminated against blacks like Sowell whose skin color couldn’t pass the Paper Bag Test.

Comments to Steve Sailer:

* The full black republicans tend to be very secure people. They don’t have the melodramatics and mental illness about identity that seems to afflict lots halfies. And liberals.

* Benjamin Jealous went on Henry Louis Gates Jr. and took a DNA test. He found out he is genetically 80 percent European. The former chairman of the NAACP is more genetically European than most Mexicans. Benjamin Jealous is more European than Eva Longoria who is 70 percent European.

* Dark black Republicans: the ones Steve mentions above; Tim Scott (really dark); Allen West; Alan Keyes; JC Watts; Armstrong Williams (mentioned by another commenter); some candidate for Congress in Arizona who lost to an atheist bisexual lady Dem (saw him on TV, thought “he’s really dark”); and James Brown was kinda sorta Republican

Average black Republicans: Condi; Michael Steele; Lynn Swann; Ken Blackwell

Light black Republicans: Powell

I guess it comes down to mulattoes gotta prove their “authenticity,” which inevitably means leftist down-with-whitey politics, whereas really dark blacks are secure in their racial identity and thus at least have the potential to think independently on matters political and cultural.

Notice how the outlier black Republican, Powell, was always on his party’s left flank, and eventually endorsed Obama on racialist grounds. (Pat Buchanan noted how Powell refused to repudiate his support of the Iraq War in his endorsement of Obama, thus making the endorsement more nakedly racial rather than political.)

Oliver Stone picked an actor, Jeffrey Wright, noticeably darker than Powell to play Powell in W.

BTW, Piyush Jindal is pretty dark, but Nimrata Haley sure isn’t — and it so happens that Jindal is the more conservative of the two. Coincidence?

* Black elite circles are monolithically Democratic, which causes Republicans to adopt an even more extreme version of affirmative action than Democrats do in order to attract black politicians.

White liberals are relatively selective, and only want to promote black politicians who are culturally white liberals. Ancestry aside, Obama is extremely, extremely white. He was right at home at Harvard, and he would be right at home in Portland, Park Slope, and Austin. That’s why white Democratic elites pushed him from state senator to president in just a few years.

White conservatives, on the other hand, are so desperate to have black politicians in their camp that they’ll promote almost anyone who has a minimum level of competency at spouting conservative platitudes. So you end up with people who look just like average black people, who memorized some lines about tax cuts, gays, and abortions and were thus vaulted to the top of the Republican party.

* Far-right economist and columnist Walter E. Williams is genuinely black. So was conservative Republican Jackie Robinson, the Hall of Fame baseball player.

* Ultra-Orthodox Jews are pretty conservative, but sometimes vote Dem in local NY elections if the Dem panders more to the ultras on welfare or something (or conveniently neglects to bring legal smackdown on the ultras for their building code violations and child molesting). The ultras are very savvy in playing politics, for such a tiny (and not-well-liked) group (but that’s Jews for you).

Modern Orthodox are mostly Republican AFAIK, and some are actual conservatives, although Joseph Lieberman and Peter Beinart are both modern ortho.

Neocon David Frum, one of very few immigration skeptic Jews in the MSM, is IIRC a secular (if ethnocentric) Jew, and married to a blonde shiksa goddess.

Neocon ogre John Podhoretz is on his second Jewess wife.

David Brooks is non-observant and married a shiksa with a very English-sounding name who “converted” to Jewishness and changed her name to sound more Jewish. They’re divorced now. Brooks’ half-racially-Jewish son serves in the IDF (maybe to prove to himself and others that he’s really Jewish).

Culture Clash: Understanding The Syrian Race

Comments to Steve Sailer:

* Or as a Jewish character in one of John Updike’s novels says, “If we have to have enemies, thank God they are Arabs.”

* Want to see Moslem behavior for yourself? Just go to your local Social Security office, take a seat in the waiting room and observe the behavior of the Moslem immigrants and their progeny – they never come singly to a Government office, they always bring their clan along and use their massed numbers, loudness and pushiness to be heard and seen before anyone else is; they even try to jump the take-a-number line by massing, often repeatedly, at the counter and shouting questions and imprecations at the staff. This sort of arrogance and massed intimidation of Government staff is, of course, a variant of the behavior described in Tom Wolfe’s Mau-Mauing the Flak Catchers.

* It is surpassingly bizarre that whenever some cocky, violent militant with adequate English declares his love of fish fingers or cricket you can gaurantee that a strong team of liberals will gush over his terrifically British personality etc..

But if you read the bearded one’s comments it is clear that he has never felt a jelly bean’s worth of empathy for the West which he treats as a purely instrumental phenomenon there to be gamed for profit.

Kipling:

But I cannot tell what powers control–
What reasons sway his mood;
Nor when the Gods of his far-off land
Shall repossess his blood.

I do very strongly feel that someone who goes open eyed to fight against Western civilisation like this should be deemed to have burnt his bridges to any Western home he nominally might have a claim to.

* “Man love Thursdays” are widely remarked upon by US troops returning from Muslim countries. It’s the day before Friday prayers, and women are off the streets by dark. The Islamic men are out buggering each other, and boys, especially in Afghanistan.

* Just the phrase “supermarket security guard” underlines the benefits that diversity has brought to western civilization.

* OK, so it’s like someone coming to the US, being served by Latrina at the DMV, and then concluding that US bureaucrats are really stupid and hostile.

Ta-Nehisi Coates to Write Black Panther Comic for Marvel

Comments to Steve Sailer:

* That actually explains a lot about him. Didn’t he grow up in a gang-infested area of Baltimore? That must have been a terribly stressful environment for a nerdy little kid who was into comic books and Dungeons and Dragons. He probably would have turned out different if he’d grown up around more white kids, where he would have found a natural home with all the other geeky kids.

* In the first issue of “Black Panther”, our hero, Michael Trayvon Coates, a mild mannered community activist and provider of school breakfasts to poor African American children, and having previously dabbled in the themes and writings of Rousseau, Thomas Paine, and Voltaire, is galvanized as he sees persons who are defined as black systematically robbed of their skittles, blunts, and bodies and joins forces with other SJW’s to form the Black Lives Matter Brigade (BLMB), and, using his own superhero skill of managing to conceal himself and disorient evil doers by generating impenetrable clouds of rhetorical fog, assumes the identity of BLACK PANTHER …..

* Whatever payment it takes to get the Black Bodies to accept repatriation to Africa (including of course renunciation of US citizenship, surrender of US passport, etc.) will be a bargain. As in, the greatest f*****g bargain of all time. I know it will never happen, but daydreaming about it really picks up my spirits when I’m blue.

* Coates is one Jewish co-author away from world domination. He should reach out to Jonathan Lethem or Michael Chabon to co-author a Black Panther graphic novel. Per Christopher Cladwell, Chabon is already a sycophant of Coates.

* I hope they show the Black Panthers fighting price-gouging Jewish slumlords. That’d make me buy the comic.

* The Atlantic always used to be a tony, hoity-toity upper middle-class magazine with intellectual aspirations. Are they proud that one of their regular contributors is a comic-book writer? More evidence, if more were needed, that our culture has become a heap of execrable garbage.

* I knew the Atlantic was on the way down when they did a gushy cover article on Britney Spears. My suspicion was confirmed when they did another ridiculous article about Kanye West, calling him “America’s Mozart.” I think the same author wrote both articles.

* It shouldn’t be forgotten that comic books are a form of pulp fiction. By and large the stories are formulaic and forgettable. I expect TNC’s contribution to be par for that course.

Senator Jeff Sessions Notes That God Told Nehemiah To Build A Wall

From Roll Call: “It’s always dangerous for church leaders to start opining on complex matters of which they haven’t had a chance to learn over the years. I mean, we’ve been wrestling with immigration for 30 years. That’s a lot of knowledge. So the pope is not invested in that,” Sessions said.

He continued, “It’s all right for him to call on us to establish an immigration law that serves the national interest and assists people, but how that’s done, I think he probably is not sufficiently informed, and I would say that despite some of the biblical things, Nehemiah went back to Jerusalem and the Lord commanded him to build a wall.

“So, [there are] many references in the Old Testament about the legitimacy of nations or countries or tribal areas, deciding who goes in and through and who does not. So that’s part of it.”

Later in the conversation, Sessions suggested the pope go to his native Argentina instead.

“I would suggest on immigration, maybe he would want to go to Argentina and ask them to take more people from the Middle East. They take almost none.”

And Sessions isn’t a big fan of the pope’s criticism of capitalism either.

“Has a socialist policy worked in Argentina or Brazil? Who do they call on when there is a refugee crisis? The West, who has a free market system that has created wealth. … Even our poor people are wealthier than middle-class people in most countries.”

Sessions noted he’s a Methodist and doesn’t always agree with what leaders in his church say either.

“Our bishops and church leaders say really foolish things periodically that I’m glad parishioners don’t know that they did. It would further hurt the church than it already has,” he said.

Sessions added that the church should focus on spiritual issues.

“Jesus focused on the bread of life, the spiritual realm,” he said. “You get that right, everything else kind of falls into place. I don’t think there’s anything in the scriptures that says nation states shouldn’t operate as nation states do. There was never any arguments that Rome’s basic secular infrastructure was fundamentally evil.”

Sessions suggested it would be better to help countries understand that “a free market system will eliminate more poverty than a government passing a law.”

But he said there’s a delicate balance, and there are times when church leadership has been very important in the public sphere.

“I’ve always been uneasy about church leaders getting too deeply involved in political issues because it can undermine their core mission, undermine their ability to be effective on spiritual matters. However, there is no doubt that on occasion there are times that a call for obedience and an objection to wrong policies is demanded of church leaders. Where you draw that line, I don’t know.”

Commentary Magazine: The GOP Is Killing Itself

I love how Donald Trump sorts out the good guys (those who care about preserving America as a nation with strong borders) from the bad guys (the open borders Republican establishment, Democrats, media, Jewish activists, Catholic activists, mainstream Protestant activists, etc).

Peter Wehner writes for Commentary magazine aka the bad guys:

Last night a close friend of mine — a legal immigrant, marvelously successful, and a long-time Republican — sent me a note in which he said this: “It’s hard to express just how depressed and depressing I find the current Republican discussions on immigration. I came to this country thinking it was one that welcomes immigrants — especially if you had something to offer by way of talents and willingness to work. Over time I came to believe the Republican Party was truly the party of ‘free markets and free people’. Now I really have trouble believing that.”

The message being sent to voters is this: The Republican Party is led by people who are profoundly uncomfortable with the changing (and inevitable) demographic nature of our nation. The GOP is longing to return to the past and is fearful of the future. It is a party that is characterized by resentments and grievances, by distress and dismay, by the belief that America is irredeemably corrupt and past the point of no return. “The American dream is dead,” in the emphatic words of Mr. Trump.

This is all quite troubling to those of us who are Republicans and find these attitudes repellant. Thankfully not all the Republican presidential candidates hold such views. Former Florida governor Jeb Bush, Governors Chris Christie and John Kasich, and Senator Marco Rubio are dissenters from this outlook. But the two men now leading in the polls – Mr. Trump and Dr. Carson – are appealing to the uglier impulses of our society. They seem intent on pitting American against American. And their words are searing themselves upon the imagination of the American people.

It was said of Lincoln, the first great Republican, that he was “the one man who had quite purged his heart and mind from hatred or even anger towards his fellow-countrymen”; that “in this man a natural wealth of tender compassion became richer and more tender while in the stress of deadly conflict he developed an astounding strength.”

In our time, we could use a lot more Lincoln and a lot less Trump and Carson.

Is this the real Lincoln? The Lincoln who wanted to send all blacks in America back to Africa?

On Eve of Yom Kippur, Ann Coulter Still Unrepentant for ‘F—ing Jews’ Tweet

Ann Coulter is going to be just fine. I love it that she hasn’t backed down.

Maybe other political commentators will grow some balls and give criticism to other protected groups?

From Algemeiner: On the eve of Yom Kippur, the Jewish Day of Atonement, conservative political firebrand Ann Coulter expressed only a smidgen of regret for her now infamous Twitter tirade, in which she accused candidates at last week’s Republican presidential debate of pandering to Jews.

Among a string of angry messages lambasting the contenders’ focus on consensus issues, the pundit tweeted, “How many f—ing Jews do these people think there are in the United States?”

Offered the chance to reconsider her choice of words in an interview with The Algemeiner on Monday, her first with a Jewish publication since making the comments, Coulter yielded only that, “I would’ve used the ‘f—ing’ in a different part of the sentence.” And even that would only be in order to prevent her critics from “chopping up” her words and putting together a “bomb.”

Throughout the course of the interview, Coulter claimed she has been inundated with “fan mail from my Jewish fans.” She asserted that she is “a friend of Israel” and stands “against the enemies of the Jews.” She also said that while Jews “are usually so good with real estate,” Israel would do better if it relocated to the southern U.S. border. She called Donald Trump “the most Jewish” Republican candidate — although she has yet to hear any criticism from Trump’s Jewish daughter, Ivanka — and expressed interest in finding herself a Jewish doctor with whom to settle down.

But she was repeatedly dismissive of the maelstrom of antisemitism that her comments have ignited on social media networks, and rejected criticism from Jewish groups across the political spectrum that her comments played into antisemitic stereotypes about Jews having undue influence on American policy to the detriment of U.S. interests.

She pooh-poohed attacks from liberals, whom she called, “utter frauds and hypocrites” that “are constantly sucking up to antisemites,” but she also refused to take criticism from Jewish groups that might usually be aligned with her politically.

The hawkish Zionist Organization of America blasted Coulter’s “appalling, anti-Jewish remarks which evoked the classic, antisemitic trope about Jewish manipulation of America for the purposes of supporting Israel at America’s expense,” and the Orthodox National Council of Young Israel condemned her “ill-advised decision to spew hatred by denigrating the state of Israel and the Jewish community.” Commentary Magazine editor and conservative commentator John Podhoretz tweeted simply, “Shame on you.”

But Coulter dismissed the condemnations from “groups I agree with” as coming from people who “were deceived” and are “unfamiliar with my work,” as well as others who “may just be naive.”

Confronted by The Algemeiner with the prevailing wisdom that her tweet played into the most grotesque Jewish stereotypes, Coulter deflected, saying, “I’m throwing their Israel-pandering right in with their Reagan-pandering and their abortion-pandering.” She also noted, “In fact, right after sending that tweet, I tweeted out: ‘or maybe it’s the evangelicals.’”

Asked if she would repudiate the antisemitic hordes that have gathered in her defense under the #IStandWithAnn social-media banner, she claimed, “I haven’t seen any of those tweets. I hear about them but… I don’t even want to acknowledge their existence. It gives them too much credibility.”

“But for one thing,” she added, “If, or to the extent that, they are antisemites, well, they are going to become familiar with my work, and they’re going to see I’m not.”

Despite the strong implication to the contrary of her initial tweet, Coulter insisted that support for Israel in the U.S. is by no means a Jewish issue, but “truly an American cause” and that she supports U.S. aid to Israel because “they are our only friend there.”
