NYT: European Union Ministers Approve Plan to Distribute Refugees

Comments to Steve Sailer:

* Reflecting on the importance of language, we see in this piece another example why we always lose: It’s “right-wing politicians” vs. “humanitarians”. Gee, I wonder which side is the good guys?

It’s just like in this country. We have “the religious right” or “hardcore conservatives” who respond to “red meat” and “hot button” issues, against “advocates for civil rights (or women’s health or the environment)”. It’s all in the language.

* They’re not just addressing the migrants already in Europe. They’re creating a plan to facilitate the influx of millions more.

This catastrophe is far from over.

* Way, way back in the mid 1960s, Enoch Powell MP was actually in favor of Britain joining the fledgling EEC, the forerunner to the EU.
Powell thought at the time that it was simply a free trade pact, and like many others at that time thought that the relatively underperforming UK economy needed an economic boost.

However, Powell’s opinion changed. He took the time to actually study the EU and what it was all about – full economic, fiscal, monetary and political union. Powell realised that this inevitably meant the extinction of a thousand years of English national independence, sovereignty and self determination. In other words, foreign powers would have the ability to make political decisions unwanted and unwelcome by the British electorate. A price that cannot be paid under any circumstances.
Powell, a Tory, resigned from the Conservative Party and urged voters to vote Labour in the General Election of November 1974. Labour promised EU withdrawal, a promise they reneged upon.

Powell has been proved right.

* If a nation state has absolutely no control whatsoever over who actually claims as ‘right’ the ability to live in that state, then that so-called ‘nation state’ has absolutely no point to its existence whatsoever. It is, more or less, just a geographical expression, a term for an administrative region, a description for one bit of the earth’s landscape.
Whatever that administrative region is it is certainly not a ‘nation’ nor a ‘state’.

* . The obamacare issue was posed to conservatives, “Why are you opposed to healthcare?” African supremacy is, “Do you oppose civil rights for Africans?” Invasion becomes, “Are you opposed to helping refugees?” Or, “Why do you oppose immigration reform?”

The leftists’ control of media has enabled their total control of political language. Trump (and now Carson following in his shadow) upsets that model because of the huge audience he has and his immunity to the penalties normally imposed on violators. Carson has the whip hand since he is retired and cannot be called “racist.”

* I think we won’t see islamized Germany or any other Western European state for some time. Islamized in a sense that there is Sharia law. There is still not enough of Muslims in Europe.

What we will see in my opinion is a balkanized Europe, with lower social trust, small closed communities nested among sea of atomized individuals, a lot of informal no-go areas depending on your race and ethnicity. Everything will be governed by increasingly powerful and pervasive transnational bureaucracy, which paradoxically will at he same time be unable to govern many areas – like law enforcement in aforementioned closed communities. Expect a lot of “propaganda of success” about successful integration of yet another batch of migrants from Africa, and posters on dilapidated walls depicting smiling children from many races playing happily together. Also – gay prides will mysteriously disappear. Everything will cost more and everyday living will resemble walking through mine fields.
