Most Adults Can’t Reason Formally

Dr. Herman T. Epstein writes: Only one-third of adults can reason formally. That means that two-thirds of the citizens in a democracy cannot understand the more complex issues facing them both in life and in elections. Unless ways can be found to increase the percentage, operation of democracies will depend on the ability to formulate issues in concrete terms so that voters can grasp the issues. We don’t yet know if the percentages can be increased – that will take some enormously difficult and important research that should be specially funded in our democracy. Until that is achieved, if possible, the continued existence of democracies is in question.

Kevin Spacey Loves His Arab Youths

It’s heartwarming to see his charity towards underprivileged Arab boys.

I am sure Kevin’s Arab hosts are grateful for his patronage and reward him handsomely in whatever manner he wishes ala Lawrence of Arabia.

REPORT: Kevin Spacey couldn’t make it to Los Angeles to accept his Screen Actors Guild Award on Sunday, because he had committed to being more than 13,000 kilometres away, in Sharjah, to watch an Arabic play put on by young theatre students he had spent two weeks personally mentoring.

Spacey took a seat in the front row at the Sharjah Institute for Theatrical Arts with Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah, for the hour-long production of Dhow Under the Sun, by the Iraqi playwright Hassan Abdulrazzak.

That the play was in a language he does not understand did not seem to concern him. Neither did missing the SAG Awards, where the Oscar-winner picked up a gong for his work on the Netflix series House of Cards, adding to the Golden Globe Award he took home a week before.

The play, with 34 hand-picked participants from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, the Palestinian Territories, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Egypt, Algeria and Jordan, was the product of a two-week long Home Grown theatre workshop, a partnership between the Kevin Spacey Foundation and Middle East Theatre Academy (Meta) in Sharjah.

Addressing the crowd before the play started, Spacey said: “Tonight is the kind of night I grew up with.

“This is what I experienced when I was very young. In my theatre class, I was a part of many programmes where I was brought together with other emerging artists to put on plays in workshops with professional directors and working actors.

“Tonight is only different in that all the performers you see are from so many different places. In many ways, just as the UAE was brought together by the spirit of a man who believed he could unite all under one banner, we celebrate that spirit by bringing together these young, remarkable talents from so many different places.”

For College

* In my senior year of high school, I called a few phone sex lines from my home. My mother later asked me about the charges and if they were for college. I said they were for college and that was it.

* The Saturday I graduated from high school, I went to my first secular party that night and I had a bit of a beer and a wine cooler and made out in the bushes with an Asian girl and then we all went to Dennys. I got home about 4 am. The next day, my dad remarked that I looked like I had aged ten years. That’s the only time in my life I’ve had multiple drinks.

* I was on an Orthodox roller skating date in Santa Monica and the former cheerleader ger girl got nervous about wearing jeans (forbidden for Orthodox women in public) and took me to a shop and had me buy her a skirt to cover over her jeans in case she ran into anyone from the community. Twenty minutes later, we ran into people from the community and she was all covered up. She paid me back, and not in cheerleading services.

Lil writes: “Aw, I wish this would have worked out. I’m glad she got the skirt, although she should have bought it herself. I only hope she got the skirt on her own beliefs and not out of fear of being seen by the community.”

If the Orthodox Jewish community had to rely on people doing what they believed to be right, it would fall apart. The community depends upon fear of what others might say. That’s just how humanity works. Very few people are motivated consistently by high ideals but almost everyone is motivated by preserving their reputation with their in-group. People fear people far more than they fear God. That’s the world God made.

Are Jews Losing Control Of The Media?

The main exception has been in the playpen of student government on California college campuses, where the much-celebrated diversity has proven fertile ground for undergraduate demagogues. In recent months, Jewish centrists such as journalists Jonathan Chait and Jamie Kirchick have become increasingly alarmed over whether the Obama Coalition’s identity politics jihad against white privilege, male privilege, straight privilege, and now even cisgender privilege will eventually turn against the privileges of the single richest and most influentialethnic group in America: Jews.

COMMENTS:

* They have a fantasy narrative of blending in with the aggrieved and becoming king of the outcasts. Look at Hollywood movies like Avatar, Last of the Mohicans (directed by Michaell Mann), the Last Samurai (directed by Edward Zwick) and the dozens of other Hollywood blockbusters that feature a white-ish person (but one who’s very decidedly not like those European whites) who becomes enthroned and worshiped by the marginalized outcasts and uses them to wage war on that old devil Europe.

MORE COMMENTS:

* I’m curious about how some younger Jewish intellectuals, with less attachment to Israel, feel about this. Noah Smith, for example, who is an advocate for mass immigration, said on Twitter recently that Israel wasn’t in the top 5 of countries he cared about. I’d send him a link to your Taki column and ask, but he gets mad sometimes when I mention your name.

In any case, what I wonder is whether they are untroubled by the BDS movement, seeing it just as an anti-Israel thing, or as the first taste of a more assertive hostility toward Jews from recent 3rd world immigrants.

* In France you have the burgeoning Muslim/non-white population soon slated to become the numerical majority. Also you have a long-established rich and successful Jewish population.
Apart from being more or less openly hated and despised by the Muslims/non-whites, French Jews are looked upon as some sort of ‘super-whites’, in that they seem to exemplify epitomise the power, money, control and ‘privilege’ that the immigrants find so galling and envy inducing in everyday garden variety French whites.

* Asians seem to view Jews as some sort of super-white person (often not entirely negatively, as they lack the cultural prohibitions against usury, etc), but they are still going to compete for elite spots. Hispanics have the usual old-school Catholic prejudices. And Muslims, of course, love knifing Jews in the streets of France.

* Rarely if ever do I see Taki’s usual suspects acknowledge that we gentiles are entirely complicit in our own demise, which renders their Judeophobic jeremiads little more than special pleading. And I demur at your suggestion that Jews are behind the “overwhelming majority” of anti-gentile movements. They weren’t behind the French Revolution, which got the whole nasty AWR ball rolling, and they hardly dominate postmodernism, which, if anything, is even more malefic than Frankfurt School Marxism. Trust me–we gentiles have done more than enough to harm ourselves. We don’t require any help from the Jooz on that score.

* A bogus tissue of exaggerations, caricatures and shoddy logic, not to mention the obligatory fevered paranoia. And if anything, you are the one who is anti-gentile, because you believe we are so stupid and feckless that we can be dominated, exploited and ultimately exterminated by a tiny cadre of ubermenchen. Face facts–you cannot posit Jewish dominance without connoting gentile inferiority.

* I think this is a phenomenon common to all humanity and probably has evolutionary origins; namely the assigning of moral culpability to the ‘other’ before yourself. Probably has something to do with differing levels of threat or group selection.

* I’m keeping a YARMULKE in my back pocket just in case. You never know when it may come in handy.
Besides my own kind so far have proven themselves useless in fighting immigration, gender perversion and black race hustler extortion.

The Gifts Of The Gays

Public health officials across the West Coast are urging medical professionals to look out for cases of ocular syphilis – a sexually transmitted disease that can cause blindness – after two potential cases in Los Angeles recently.
On Thursday, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health issued an advisory for primary and eye-care providers to look out for symptoms associated with the disease, which is usually a complication of primary or secondary syphilis infections.
ith more than a dozen cases – most of them among gay men – reported between Seattle and San Francisco and now potentially two in Southern California, the AIDS Healthcare Foundation is calling for medical professionals to do more.
“These new cases … highlight the importance of ongoing, regular check-ups for sexually active individuals who feel they may be at risk, particularly men who have sex with men,” said AHF President Michael Weinstein in a statement.
Some of the patients also are HIV positive, including six in San Francisco. In Seattle, two of the patients went blind.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, California’s syphilis rate was second in the country behind only Georgia. Los Angeles also had the highest number of primary and secondary cases of syphilis of any county in the U.S. in 2013, the CDC reported.

And now there is a strain of syphilis causing blindness in gay men – because most gays don’t like wearing a condom. I look at this as Darwin at work – weeding out people who cannot control themselves from engaging in high risk sexual behavior. Wouldn’t you wear a condom all the time if you are having anal sex? I am not gay, but I know I sure as hell would not gamble my life by not wearing a condom.

* The first symptom of ocular syphilis is a pounding sensation in your ass.

* Is this the LOVE Jeb Bush was talking about coming over the border from Metzico?

* Yellow fever, measles, whooping cough, polio, plague, leprosy, now ocular syphilis? Nothing more than the wages of totally uncontrolled illegal immigration. Enjoy it California. You’re the one’s that welcomed it with open arms. Now live with it.

* I have a hard time keeping up with all the plagues CA has been experiencing. Jerry Brown should start praying again.

* So the possibility that a newly arrived illegal carried the strain (a disease that came out of nowhere and has appeared in several west coast locations had to come from somewhere), and since the gay community likes interracial relationships particularly with minorities, cannot both be factors?

* You know, this wouldn’t be a problem if people with communicable diseases were quarantined like was done years ago.

* And how many homosexuals do you suppose know they are harbingers of certain death as HIV/AIDS carriers? So now we should again excuse their bio-hazard lifestyle to spreading their new plague, the spirochete bacterium Treponema pallidum subspecies pallidum, a.k.a. syphilis! Syphilis will eventually morph into neurosyphilis and if not responsive to treatment your brain basically turns into runny snot!

Syphilis infected 12 million people worldwide in 1999 alone, with greater than 90% of cases in the developing world. “This [is] attributed partly to increased promiscuity, prostitution, decreasing use of condoms, AND UNSAFE SEXUAL PRACTICES AMONG MEN WHO HAVE SEX WITH MEN”!

So, hit that “Grindr” app and find that ‘special’ BFF (Best Fatal Friend!)

‘No Jews Allowed’ Clubs Are Good For The Jews

I’ve never seen any signs saying, “No Jews Allowed.” So long as these sentiments don’t lead to violence, I think they’re good for the Jews. They increase our group solidarity and make the chip on our shoulder bigger so that we work harder, and give more to each other.

As for the goyim, I think it is good and healthy for them to have their own hotels and dining establishments and clubs etc. Why can’t they go some place and just be Gentile with all the awesomeness of that? Why can’t there be places free of the Jewish challenge. Jews are not an easy people. Why can’t goyim have hotels where they can relax and say bad things about Jews without getting censored? There are plenty of Jewish organizations that are for Jews only (in effect). I love going to shul and talking smack about goyim. I know this is wrong. Hate is always wrong. Prejudice leads to genocide, but heck, I enjoy relating my observations. Nature color-coded people so that we can make good decisions.
