A smart country would not allow in people from the third world and would not allow in Muslims but the United States has a deranged immigration policy.

Muslims tend to have low-IQs and do much of their recruiting from blacks.

I can’t think of any country in the past 200 years who has been improved by the presence of Muslims. What country became more Muslim and more free? What community has become more black and more prosperous?

Why are we taking unnecessary chances with the United States of America?

Where Is It Safe To Wear A Yarmulke?

On his radio show Sept. 2, 2014, Dennis Prager said it is safe to wear a yarmulke around America but it is not safe to wear a yarmulke in most of Europe, largely because of Muslim immigration.

Dennis was responding to a call from an Orthodox woman in Cleveland who said she was seeing an increase in Jew-hatred. She said her brother went on a road trip and deliberately wore a hat over his yarmulke for fears about safety. She wanted to know if it was safe to sign Prager’s petition StopHamasnow.com. Dennis said it was.

On my trip down under in June, I wore a yarmulke and tzitzit out in regional Australia and received no aggravation. Two goyim came up to me because they were interested in Judaism.

Another Jewish NBA Owner To Leave For Critical Remarks About Blacks

I wonder if the media will spin Bruce Levenson’s remarks as “Southern” rather than as Jewish, even though he embodies the attitudes of many Jews towards blacks.

I think Levenson’s remarks below make business sense, but they are impolitic to say in public. You can’t tell the truth publicly about these matters and retain an honored position in first world society. You can only retain honor in America and the West by keeping quiet on race or by lying about race. Those who tell the truth on race will be persecuted and driven from public life (a la Charles Murray with his book The Bell Curve).

Jews were disproportionately active in the struggle for black civil rights in America and in South Africa but Jews as a group have complicated reactions to blacks. In some ways, they act more fearful of blacks than do goyim, and Jews usually lead white flight.

When you have a luxury good such as an NBA team, it makes sense to market your product primarily to those who have large disposable incomes. This audience, in general, is not black or latino (in America because most American Latinos left Latin America because they weren’t smart enough to make it there, the USA got the dregs of Latin America).

In the US, you can’t criticize Jews as a group, so I don’t expect the news media to link Bruce Levenson’s remarks to common Jewish attitudes towards blacks (which often have more in common with Southern white attitudes than with PC attitudes).

When you play hip-hop music in your stadium, you attract blacks and non-blacks who like many black ways. When you play white music, you attract a different crowd and different behavior, as the Washington Post reported:

To many people, classical music is the perfect background music: soothing, attractive, undemanding. But for some time, it’s also been used as a form of crowd control: a kind of bug spray for people you don’t want hanging around. Early attempts in this direction date to the mid-1980s, when a 7-Eleven began playing music in the parking lot as a deterrent to the crowds of teenagers congregating there. Plenty of stores continue to use the technique, and other examples have been cropping up sporadically ever since. In 2001, police in West Palm Beach, Fla., blasted Mozart and Beethoven on a crime-ridden street corner and saw incidents dwindle dramatically. In 2010, the transit authority in Portland, Ore., began playing classical music at light-rail stops, and calls to police dropped. When the London Underground started piping classical music into its stations in 2005, physical and verbal abuse by young people (however you define THAT) declined by 33 percent.

Levenson noted in his email below that the largely black audience that comes to Atlanta Hawks games contains few fathers with sons. Blacks all over the world have less family stability than do whites who in turn have less than Orientals.

Levenson is also right that whites are not going to come to places where they are in the minority and where minority norms rule. Whites, like other groups, prefer to socialize with whites according to white norms.

Levenson wrote: “We manufacture a lot of noise but because of the late arriving crowd and the fact that a lot of blacks dont seem to go as crazy cheering (another one of my theories) as whites, it is not great.”

As Steve Sailer notes, American blacks tend to have a national tribal culture that supports national teams such as the Lakers and the Heat rather than the team in their city. Whites are more likely than blacks to go crazy for the team in their city just as whites are more likely than blacks to wave the American flag and to cry at the National Anthem and to visit places of historical significance in American history. For many blacks, America represents oppression and racism more than it represents freedom and democracy.

Levenson makes another obvious point in his email: “And many of our black fans don’t have the spendable income which explains why our f&b and merchandise sales are so low.”

I wonder if blacks tend to be tardy more often than whites? “Regardless of what time a game starts, we have the latest arriving crowd in the league. It often looks and sounds empty when the team takes the floor.”

Levenson wrote: “I want some white cheerleaders and while i don’t care what the color of the artist is, i want the music to be music familiar to a 40 year old white guy if that’s our season tixs demo. i have also balked when every fan picked out of crowd to shoot shots in some time out contest is black. I have even bitched that the kiss cam is too black.”

This seems like common sense and good business to me. I don’t feel safe when I am surrounded by black people. I suspect most non-blacks and many blacks identify with me. We don’t like hip hop culture.

Bunny James posts on my FB: “In America, David, his statements would be taken by blacks as EXTREMELY racist. You cannot say anything in this country that even hints there is a difference between people because of their ethnic origin. We have “solved” our racial problems in this country by agreeing to never talk about them. And yes, you’re correct, if the statement was reversed nobody would think anything of it. That’s just the reality of racial relations in the USA.”

I know that many Jewish businesses, such as Jewish bookstores and kosher restaurants, seek to attract Jewish customers. I suspect many black restaurants and clubs seek black customers and that many Chinese stores seek Chinese customers. What is wrong with whites seeking white customers? Why are whites the only group not allowed to act in their own interest?

It’s a shame that Levenson has now apologized for his remarks: “I’m angry at myself, too. It was inflammatory nonsense. We all may have subtle biases and preconceptions when it comes to race, but my role as a leader is to challenge them, not to validate or accommodate those who might hold them.”

What a coward. Read Tom Wolfe’s novels A Man in Full and The Bonfire of the Vanities to get an accurate taste of the complexity of Jewish attitudes to blacks.

Chaim Amalek writes: “When it comes down to dollars, Jews like this have no spine. They are nearly as bad as WASP elites in England. Consider that he SELF REPORTED his thought crime to the authorities, then volunteers for suitable punishment. With such people in positions of authority in America, is it any wonder we are in trouble? I say his punishment should be exile to Gaza for five years of political reeducation.”

I don’t think there’s anything weird about whites and Jews wanting to own NBA teams that mainly employee blacks but primarily attract white fans in the seats. All the world prefers white women, for instance, as the ultimate in beauty, even the Japanese. Every people has its own gifts.

REPORT: Atlanta Hawks controlling owner Bruce Levenson has self-reported to the NBA that he sent a racist e-mail in August 2012 and will sell his interest in the team.

Levenson reported the e-mail to the NBA in July, almost two years after it was sent but while the league was deep in litigation over the now-completed sale of the Los Angeles Clippers. The investigation was ongoing when Levenson decided to leave the team.

The e-mail, to Hawks President Danny Ferry, details Levenson’s belief that the Hawks’ fan base was too heavily African-American. (Scroll down for full text of the e-mail.)

“I wrote an e-mail two years ago that was inappropriate and offensive,” Levenson said in a Hawks news release Sunday morning. “I trivialized our fans by making clichéd assumptions about their interests (i.e., hip hop vs. country, white vs. black cheerleaders, etc.) and by stereotyping their perceptions of one another (i.e., that white fans might be afraid of our black fans). By focusing on race, I also sent the unintentional and hurtful message that our white fans are more valuable than our black fans.”

Levenson was one of the strongest critics among owners of Donald Sterling, the Clippers owner who was recorded making racist comments and quickly banned for life from the league.

1. from day one i have been impressed with the friendliness and professionalism of the arena staff — food vendors, ushers, ticket takers, etc. in our early years when i would bring folks from dc they were blown away by the contrast between abe pollin’s arena and philips. some of this is attributable to southern hospital and manners but bob and his staff do a good job of training. To this day, I can not get the ushers to call me Bruce yet they insist on me calling them by their first names.

2. the non-premium area food is better than most arenas, though that is not saying much. i think there is room for improvement and creativity. Levy is our food vendor so we don’t have much control but they have been good partners. i have wished we had some inconic offereing like boog’s barbeque at the baseball stadium in balt.

3. our new restaurant, red, just opened so too early for me to give you my thoughts.

4. Regarding game ops, i need to start with some background. for the first couple of years we owned the team, i didn’t much focus on game ops. then one day a light bulb went off. when digging into why our season ticket base is so small, i was told it is because we can’t get 35-55 white males and corporations to buy season tixs and they are the primary demo for season tickets around the league. when i pushed further, folks generally shrugged their shoulders. then i start looking around our arena during games and notice the following:

— it’s 70 pct black

— the cheerleaders are black

— the music is hip hop

— at the bars it’s 90 pct black

— there are few fathers and sons at the games

— we are doing after game concerts to attract more fans and the concerts are either hip hop or gospel.

Then i start looking around at other arenas. It is completely different. Even DC with its affluent black community never has more than 15 pct black audience.

Before we bought the hawks and for those couple years immediately after in an effort to make the arena look full (at the nba’s urging) thousands and thousands of tickets were being giving away, predominantly in the black community, adding to the overwhelming black audience.

My theory is that the black crowd scared away the whites and there are simply not enough affluent black fans to build a signficant season ticket base. Please dont get me wrong. There was nothing threatening going on in the arean back then. i never felt uncomfortable, but i think southern whites simply were not comfortable being in an arena or at a bar where they were in the minority. On fan sites i would read comments about how dangerous it is around philips yet in our 9 years, i don’t know of a mugging or even a pick pocket incident. This was just racist garbage. When I hear some people saying the arena is in the wrong place I think it is code for there are too many blacks at the games.

I have been open with our executive team about these concerns. I have told them I want some white cheerleaders and while i don’t care what the color of the artist is, i want the music to be music familiar to a 40 year old white guy if that’s our season tixs demo. i have also balked when every fan picked out of crowd to shoot shots in some time out contest is black. I have even bitched that the kiss cam is too black.

Gradually things have changed. My unscientific guess is that our crowd is 40 pct black now, still four to five times all other teams. And my further guess is that 40 pct still feels like 70 pet to some whites at our games. Our bars are still overwhelmingly black.

This is obviously a sensitive topic, but sadly i think it is far and way the number one reason our season ticket base is so low.

And many of our black fans don’t have the spendable income which explains why our f&b and merchandise sales are so low. At all white thrasher games sales were nearly triple what they are at hawks games (the extra intermission explains some of that but not all).

Regardless of what time a game starts, we have the latest arriving crowd in the league. It often looks and sounds empty when the team takes the floor.

In the past two years, we have created a section of rowdy college students that has been a big plus. And we do a lot of very clever stuff during time outs to entertain the crowd. Our kiss cam is better done than any in the league.

We have all the same halftime acts that other arenas have but i question whether they make sense. people are on their cell phones during half time. i wonder if flashing on the scoreboard “$2 off on hot dogs during halftime tonight” just as the half ends would be a better use of our halftime dollars and make the fans happier.

We do all the usual giveways and the fans are usually their loudest when our spirit crew takes the floor to give away t-shirts. It pisses me off that they will yell louder for a t-shirt then for our players.

Our player intro is flat. We manufacture a lot of noise but because of the late arriving crowd and the fact that a lot of blacks dont seem to go as crazy cheering (another one of my theories) as whites, it is not great. Even when we have just returned from winnng four straight on the road, i am one of the few people in the arena standing and cheering when our team takes the floor. Bob has kicked around ideas like having the starters coming down aisles rather than off the bench during intros. Sounds cool but may highlight all the empty seats at the start of games.

Not enough of our fans wear hawks jerseys to games. i have just begun to push for ideas like discount food lines for folks wearing jerseys, special entrances, etc. I think we need a committed and perhaps incentivized fan club. We need to realize atl is simply different than every other city. Just adopting nba best practices is not enough. we have to create our own.

The Solution Is Connection

When I started school in second grade (I was held out before that because of my family’s religious belief that it was best to start school as late as possible, per Ellen G. White), I was socially awkward. I used my brain to make fun of people. As a result, I was not popular. I did not have many friends.

As I moved into third, fourth and then fifth grade, I developed my social skills and grew more friends. Life became more fun. Then halfway through fifth grade, my parents and I moved to California.

At Pacific Union College in the Napa Valley, people started saying I was “insecure.” I had not heard that word used much in Australia. The people I knew down under were not as psychologically sophisticated as my new community.

As the years went by, my position in the social pecking order was usually around the middle of the pack, with more time spent near the bottom than near the top. That’s been the story of my life. I understand losers because I’ve lived so much of my life around losers because they were the only kinds of people who would accept my presence.

It’s a horrible feeling to walk into a room of people and not find anywhere there who wants to talk to me. Throughout my life, the good cool people have often tolerated me, but not often accepted me.

As any regular reader of my blog understands, I can be terribly self-centered. It does no good, most of the time, to tell the self-centered person to think about others because usually the narcissist is in so much pain, he can’t think about others, any more than you, the normal person, can think about others when you have a killer toothache or headache. I’ve lived much of my life in agony inside and I still fall into that. The thing that works best for me, I’ve found, is connection with good people and with God. That’s what I was seeking when I converted to Judaism. The more apart I live, the more weird I get and the more difficult it becomes for normal people to have me around.

When I go to a 12-step meeting, I associate with people like me, those who’ve lived in the type of crushing pain that screams for a distraction that leads to addiction. Through 12-step work, I connect with people I can relate to, I connect with myself, and I connect with God.

Studying the Alexander Technique did not completely rewire my brain to the point where I no longer got stuck in sadness and depression, but it lightened these addictions so that I became more receptive to getting help.

When I see the effort that people must make to earn such a living that it will enable them to support a family, I despair of achieving that for myself. I fear I don’t have the strength. I can hold myself together, but can I support a family? Can I truly step into adulthood and take on those responsibilities?

When I date and relate, women start testing me, and the best ones usually find me lacking in strength of character. My neediness to connect renders me weak. The solution lies in connecting to God and to my best self and to other people I respect and to build from there. The solution lies in shul. Go and study.

I have a problem with idealizing and devaluing people (a symptom of narcissism). Do you find yourself doing this? Does your agony now correspond with agony in childhood? My agony in adulthood usually feels like agony from childhood, only worse and compounded. It’s so hard to shift out of the patterns I developed in childhood, patterns of insecurity, of feeling I was defective and unworthy, and feeling frightened to connect with others. Thank God for Facebook, for blogging, and for the distractions to be found in Torah.

Torah Believes In Stereotypes

Torah believes in stereotypes (without holding that they define every individual of a group). As I learn Talmud, I learn stereotypes about Egyptians, Babylonians, Greeks, Romans, Christians, Cushim, etc. Torah has no problem sketching out how different peoples, including Jews, tend to have certain qualities. In my study of Torah, I find no prohibitions against the modern moral categories of racism, bigotry, homophobia, Islamophobia, sexism, ageism, etc, but you certainly can’t eat an egg laid on a Jewish holiday.

If I recall correctly, there’s one portion of Talmud that discusses that if you find a puddle of urine on a street, it most likely did not come from a Jew because Jews believe in modesty and they do their business in private.

The leading Ashkenazi rabbis had a different attitude towards Christians than did the leading Sephardic rabbis because Ashkenazim were more likely to live among Christians than were the Sephardim, so the Ashkenazi poskim (deciders of Jewish law) looked for every possible out to not declare Christianity idolatry to make it easier for Jews to live among Christians and to trade with them. On the face of it, from a Jewish perspective, Christianity is plainly idolatry, but if you are going to live in Christians lands, that’s not a position that will make your life easy so you have to twist and turn Torah until you can find an accommodation for Christians.

It is natural, healthy and good to have some fear for those who are different from you, be you a Christian or a Muslim or a Jew or a white or a black. Everybody who practices a religion seriously is going to find other religions at best goofy.

The Decline Of The Generations

My sense is that a generation ago, 90% of traditional religious types from birth (whether they were Catholics, Orthodox Jews, Seventh-Day Adventists) were virgins on their wedding night while now the number is about 60%. A generation ago, 98% of them never tried drugs, while now maybe that number is about 75%.

I understand why traditional people want to wall themselves and their families off from regular western world with its attendant moral corruption.

What Gives You The Greatest Pleasure?

I never cease to be amazed at how intrusive and clueless people can be (starting with myself). In an Orthodox shul, there are sections for men and women and yet many people ignore this, particularly the insane. If you don’t join with people and tune in to them before you talk to them, you’ll often say things that are intrusive or inappropriate. You might presume an intimacy that is not there. The other night, I saw this 70 year old guy turn to a girl he did not know and the first thing he said was, “What gives you greatest pleasure?” The girl got embarrassed and said, “That’s a very personal question.” The guy meant well. He wasn’t trying to bring up something sexual. He was listening to her talk to somebody else about her life plans and college plans, but he didn’t tune in to her before opening his mouth to help. If truly you want to help people, and not just intrude on people, you first need to join with them and tune into them before you “help.” If this guy had been in a state where he was preparing to catch a ball thrown to him, he would have been less likely to make this type of blunder. He would have gotten out of his head and out of intellectualizing about reality and he would have started living in a way that would bless him and those around him.

You have to have a deep level of rapport with somebody before you can ask him an intense question like, “What gives you the greatest pleasure?” That’s not the first thing you can say to somebody. You have to earn the right to ask such questions.

I notice many people prefer to say and do whatever it is they want to say and do without taking the effort to become alive and alert in the present moment and to take into account the varying states of those around them.

A great way to reach a place where you can tune in to those around you is to be as alert as you need to be to catch a tennis ball. When you play catch, you get out of your mental and emotional and physical ruts and become alive in your kinesthesia. You become receptive to the world around you. You pay attention to different possibilities. As you become alert, you tend to drop your habitual slumping habits and move up in your body and as you do this, your mind becomes calm and alert and you sense your own possibilities for movement and you better take into account the possibilities of those around you and you start living in the moment rather than getting stuck in the past or dreaming about the future. A good Alexander Technique teacher can show you how to live in an alert way rather than in a habitual way so that you are alive to possibility in yourself and in others.

Conspiracy Theories

I was asked in shul on Shabbos if I believe in conspiracy theories, such as the Illumanati, Free Masons, etc, control the world? Do I believe in lizard people who live far beneath the earth? I don’t believe in those conspiracy theories but I do believe in the concept of a deep state.

For a tiny people, Jews are incredibly influential. There is a conspiracy theory worthy of investigation. How do they do it? What can we learn from Jewish success? Here are some smart conspiracy theories for 2013. Is Love Colorblind? Blacks and Arabs tend to believe in more conspiracy theories than do whites.

Imagine what life is like for those with IQs under 100? They walk around knowing that many, if not most people, they interact with are smarter than them. They world might seem as if it is conspiring against you and that might make you surly and suspicious.

Steve Sailer wrote about Tom Wolfe’s latest novel, Back to Blood:

Wolfe is the master of portraying embarrassment; in particular, he can intuit what people with 95 IQs find humiliating, a subject most writers are oblivious to.

Interestingly, Back To Blood never turns into a Nestor-John Smith buddy tale, as is traditional for stories about cops and reporters teaming up. For example, when they drive west into Broward County with its ho-hum nationally franchised stores, Nestor begins to feel uncomfortable in the generic exurb. An unusually animated John Smith reflects: “We’ve just entered a strange land … called America! We’re not in Miami anymore. Can’t you feel it?”

“Nestor analyzed this concept for traces of anti-Cuban insult, even though he had experienced the same alien feeling just a moment before … Well, John Smith was an alien himself. He was apparently a living embodiment of a creature everybody had heard of, but nobody ever met in Miami, the WASP … Emotionally, he still resented it, harmless or not. “

As John Smith begins to riff like a proto-Tom Wolfe on the names of the commercial outlets:

“Animated like this, John Smith annoyed him. … John Smith could draw … concepts … out of something as ordinary as this second-rate road … That kind of thinking was a facility Nestor didn’t have. Irony came always at somebody else’s expense … his own, probably …”

Thus, it’s hardly surprising that the usual trajectory for immigrant groups, even anti-black ones like the Cubans, is toward the Democrats—the Party of Resentment.

Topping reflects upon the fictional John Smith, and journalists in general:

If you ask me, newspaper reporters are created at age six when they first go to school. In the schoolyard boys immediately divide into two types. Immediately! There are those who have the will to be daring and dominate, and those who don’t have it. … But there are boys from the weaker side of the divide who grow up with the same dreams as the stronger … The boy standing before me, John Smith, is one of them. They, too, dream of power, money, fame, and beautiful lovers.

Wolfe, who is a lavish spender in the tradition of Twain and F. Scott Fitzgerald, has seldom made any pretense that he doesn’t want success in its cash forms. (Here’s Wolfe’s tribute to Twain as the rare writer who struck it rich as a “Big Spender from the East.”)

He just wants it on his own terms.

Boys like this kid grow up instinctively realizing that language is like … a sword or a gun. Used skillfully, it has the power to … well, not so much achieve things as to tear things down—including people … including the boys who came out on the strong side of the sheerly dividing line.

Hey, that’s what liberals are! Ideology? Economics? Social justice? Those are nothing but their prom outfits. Their politics were set for life in the schoolyard at age six. They were the weak, and forever after they resented the strong. That’s why so many journalists are liberals! The very same schoolyard events that pushed them toward the written word … pushed them toward “liberalism.”

I suspect, however, that Tom Wolfe, much as he resembles John Smith, was never a liberal. I’d like to see him write a memoir. Wolfe’s first three decades—his upbringing in Virginia, his Ph.D. at Yale, and his reporting in Cuba during the Revolution—remain obscure, probably both for personal and political reasons.

‘Welcome To The Dark-Skinned Ones’

One Sabbath, I joined a Sephardic kiddush (snacks).

One Sephardi looked at me, smiled, and said, “Welcome to the dark-skinned ones.”

The average Ashkenazi IQ is around 112 while the average Sephardi IQ is about 95, lower than the white average of 100.

Almost all of the famous and high-achieving Jews of the past 200 years have been Ashkenazi. All of Israel’s prime ministers have been Ashkenazi. Jewish Nobel prize winners are almost always Ashkenazi.

Ashkenazi Jews hail from Germany and they tend to be pale, often more pale than the average European. Sephardi Jews hail from Spain and often lived in the Middle East for generations. They tend to a darker skin color than whites and they often look more like Arabs (and behave more like Arabs) than like Ashkenazi Jews. Sephardic Jews have a higher crime rate than Ashkenazi Jews and they have higher rates of addiction and other forms of dysfunction. The difference between Sephardim and Ashkenazim is not as large as the difference between black and white, but it is about 50% as large.

Skin color usually portends average predispositions and abilities. Nature has color-coded people so that we can more easily make wise decisions about who to trust. We will generally feel more comfortable around those who are like us genetically.

In addition to run-of-the-mill street crimes, racial differences in crimes such as mass, spree, and serial killing, hate crime, white-collar crime, and organized crime are examined. The horrendous experience of slavery and Jim Crow laws that blacks have had to uniquely endure in this country is the starting point for explaining African American crime in the United States. Such experiences bred a violent subculture in the African American community that is opposed to much of what mainstream America values. Although the behaviors and attitudes evident in inner city culture were functional responses to the conditions forced upon blacks by whites in former times, they are now dysfunctional and destructive. The role of poverty, the sex ratio, out-of-wedlock births, the devaluation of education, the ecology of the inner city, and child abuse and neglect are examined in detail from a biosocial perspective. A biosocial perspective is one that fully acknowledges and explores how intrinsic features of individuals interact with environmental conditions to produce behavior.
