NeverTrumps and the End of America as We Know It

The American Thinker:

Jared E. Peterson, American Thinker, September 6, 2016

The election of Hillary Clinton would mean final defeat for American conservativism–for at least a generation and almost certainly for much longer than that. The demographic changes certain to flow from eight more years of open borders, general amnesty, and distribution of the newly arrived statist voters to electorally vulnerable states would make the Left’s presidential victory this fall, for all practical purposes, permanent.

And that’s without considering the effect on the electorate of the increasingly intolerant and repressive educational and political environment, an environment that for eight more years would continue driving substantial segments of the populace, especially the vulnerable young, into the ever more mandatory belief systems of the Left.

But don’t worry: After Clinton’s election the elegant and witty columns of George Will, William Kristol and Jonah Goldberg, aided by the surpassing political skills of the Bush and Romney families, will save us all from both these calamities, and from all the other unnamed ones that Hillary and the Left will bring.

Uh, maybe not.

If Clinton prevails there will be no conservative (or Republican) president during the lifetime of any adult member of the feckless Republican royal families, or of Mr. Goldberg or the children of George Will or William Kristol. Their prediction that the presidency will be recovered in short order is a pipe dream. Over the medium term, twenty to twenty-five years, that recovery would approach demographic impossibility.

Despite the inarguable magnitude of the coming Clinton/Left disaster, Republican/conservative turncoats, led by these and other members of what Peggy Noonan aptly terms the “protected classes,” are working for Clinton’s election.

In unalloyed self-destructive irrationality, the support of Hillary Clinton by Never Trump commentators and Republican politicians is sui generis.

Never before in American history have intellectual and political leaders of a major party deliberately attempted to open the gates of enduring power to an enemy sworn to their eradication.

Are they moved by general snobbery, confusion caused by overwork, East Coast social pressure? I’ve stopped trying to figure it out and stopped caring.

But on a different level, on the level of their own personal careers and perceived short-term well-being, I’m absolutely certain what they think:

“We’ll do fine under Clinton and the Left. Under Obama we’ve experienced all of what Clinton will bring and we’ve flourished. Under Clinton we’ll do it again. We’ll continue speaking out, politely and carefully of course, and they won’t touch us; we won’t lose our jobs, our children won’t be expelled, there’ll be no unpleasant changes in our expensive neighborhoods or our children’s toney private schools, we’ll drink with the same refined people in our clubs and cocktail parties. Through it all, we’ll continue making an excellent living as the articulate opposition to the wretchedness the Left will be imposing on the American working and middle classes. The little people, the unprotected people, will endure the downside–low wages, high taxes, unsafe and decaying neighborhoods, destroyed public schools, and violent racial animosity. We’ll be the Left’s safe and well paid critics.”

What an appalling betrayal of the vast majority of Main Street voters who elected two Bush Presidents and made conservative intellectuals ‘cushy lives possible!

This is clear: Trump’s defeat, if it occurs, will be the work of the NeverTrumps.

The margin by which Trump now trails in national and battle ground polls is almost exactly equal to that small but significant segment of the Republican and conservative voter base–some 20 – 25%–that’s still following the NeverTrumps off the cliff. Recent polling puts Trump’s support among likely Republican voters at about 73% (Romney got 93% in 2012).

So, if Trump falls, the NeverTrumps will be grinning beside the body–like Brutus perhaps a bit nervously–bloody knives in hand. But as the Clinton debacle unfolds, and their role in bringing it about is meticulously established, dissected and seared into memory, who will be their political friends? Perhaps more pertinently, where will they hide? Questions for a different essay.

Victory by the execrable Clinton and the Left is still avoidable, but only if the usually overwhelming percentages of conservatives and Republicans unite behind their Party’s candidate. 73% will not do, even with the new voters Trump’s issue candor and personal bravery are bringing.

The Republican and conservative voter base has got to be persuaded to ignore the suicidal advice of their failed former leaders and snobbish intellectuals, and come together behind a candidate who ever more clearly is solidly with them on almost all the great issues: immigration and borders, freedom of expression and religion, the role and composition of the federal judiciary, taxation and regulation, national security, and public safety.

But if 20-25%% of the Republican core continues to follow the wrist slitting advice of the Never Trump crowd, the Left once again will be victorious –as in 1992, when Republican defections to Perot gave the presidency to Bill Clinton with a puny 43% of the vote.

America thereafter would be permanently transformed into a new nation, molded by the Left’s dystopian dreams of multiculturalism, racial and ethnic balkanization, boiling hatred of black for white, open borders, and a government suffocated economy, a new nation whose populace would be increasingly beaten down by the dictates of governmentally mandated orthodoxies.

Here–of singular importance for any future chance of conservative governance in America–is what we know is coming from Clinton and the Left:

Intensification of the Democratic Party-sponsored third world invasion of the country. In this so far highly successful project, the Left has substituted millions of statist newcomer voters for the politically uncooperative Americans who shunned them in 1968, 1972, 1980, 1984, and 1988.

But the Left’s revolutionary demographic transformation of America is not complete. A stubborn and significant core of patriots and traditionalists remains. It will be the primary task of the Clinton presidency to overwhelm this annoyingly tenacious opposition once and for all.

The following states require only a modest infusion of statist newcomers to place them out of reach for any Republican or conservative presidential candidate not pledged to open borders and a huge welfare state: Virginia, North Carolina, Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Iowa, Nevada, Colorado and Arizona.

When any five of these ten are gone it’s game over.

Under Clinton, Illegals would continue moving north across America’s southern border in numbers sure to exceed those who came during Obama’s presidency (a minimum of 2.5 million according to liberal leaning Pew Research and the Center for Migration Studies).

In addition to the illegals, at least 1.5 million overwhelmingly third world legal immigrants will arrive annually (up from 1.1 million per year under Obama), nearly all impoverished and nearly all with expectations of government formed in their statist homelands.

Added to the legal and illegal immigrants will be the sure-to-be-legalized 11-20 million illegals already here (again Pew and Homeland Security admit to 11.2 million illegals already in America, but the actual figure is unknowably higher).

And if Clinton’s amnesty runs into Congressional opposition and she resorts to unconstitutional executive orders, this time there’ll be no help from the Supreme Court. The US Supreme Court will become a five vote rubber stamp for the Left immediately upon Clinton’s appointment of Justice Scalia’s replacement. That majority will be sustained or enlarged by whatever further vacancies come Clinton’s way.

So, adding it all up, the number of new future statist client voters after Clinton will be in the neighborhood of 26-38 million: 11-20 million amnestied illegals; 12 million new, almost exclusively third world, statist voting legal immigrants; and another 4-6 million newly arrived illegals.

With the full power of the federal executive branch in their hands, and no opposition from an increasingly partisan federal judiciary and Supreme Court, the re-empowered Left will move its newly chosen voters around as it chooses–to the states where their voting presence will have the greatest effect.

Have the Bush and Romney families–and their intellectual enablers–given all this even passing thought?

How many of these new voters do Messrs. Kristol, Will and Goldberg expect to persuade with their erudition?

Much more likely, what they’ve focused on is what’s always been their main concern: continued politically useless but personally remunerative occupation of the places of party power.

Over the last 25 years, neither the intellectuals nor the Party leaders of the NeverTrump crowd has prevented, or even slowed, the Left’s march through our cultural institutions. And now, to round out their litany of failure, they urge us to give the Left permanent possession of the presidency and the federal judiciary.

One last fatal give-away from the crowd that’s already failed so grandly. I submit that Ronald Reagan, America’s most successful conservative president, and William Buckley, America’s most effective conservative intellectual, would be appalled by this selfish, self-destructive claque of clueless politicians and confused scribblers who are trying to lead America into the arms of the Left.

Reagan and Buckley had the unfailingly good judgement to vigorously support the most conservative electable candidate. Especially where the US presidency was at stake. Barring calamity, the list of possible next American Presidents contains two names. There are no others. It would take Ronald Reagan or Bill Buckley all of a microsecond to give Trump their full support in this crucial election.

It should be evident by now that the determined suicides within Republican Party and conservative leadership ranks can’t be reached by reason. This is the time to simply ignore them. Doing so now will be good practice for the future.

As for the rest of us, we can only work to ensure that, in the end, the overwhelming majority of America’s conservatives and Republicans are guided by what their greatest leaders would have done in these circumstances, and not by the willfully destructive, self-interested counsel of the snobs who are trying to hand America to the Left.

What Does Michelle Obama Want?

Steve Sailer writes: As far as I can tell, Michelle Obama has mostly gone through life wanting Ann Romney’s life. She keeps getting annoyed by the fact that her culture wants her to take on more ambitious, more masculine roles. For example, back in school, everybody wanted her to play basketball because she’s tall and broad-shouldered and her older brother was a star. But she doesn’t like sports. She didn’t particularly like going to Whitney Young HS, Princeton, and Harvard Law. She would have liked being a bigger fish in a smaller pond.

Everybody wanted her to be a hot shot lawyer, but she didn’t like law. She kind of likes political jobs where she builds networks by handing out other people’s money, but when those kind of jobs are in short supply, she’d rather stay home with her kids.

She likes clothes, vacations, and family life. She didn’t like that her bookish husband wasn’t maximizing his earning potential, turning down a million dollar per year job offer to head the liberal Joyce Foundation in order to stay in the part-time state senate.

2016 Election Is One For The Ages

Comments:

* Imagine an election in which a candidate does not ever actually appear. Only surrogates do. Like the person hardly exists at all. Maybe this would be a more honest reflection of how things work: We are not voting for a person, but for a regime, the same regime as always.

“Vote for _______”fill in the blank. There’s actually nothing in the blank, and it does not matter.

It’s like that T-shirt I love: “Go Local Sports Team and/or College!”

They’ll prop up Mrs. Clinton like a scarecrow if they have to, and the correct masses will obey Michelle and every other one of their superiors, as they always do.

Still, seeing the old crook wobble and faint made my day. Keep it coming!

* Michelle seems a ludicrous choice to anyone paying the least bit of attention, but remember the utter rapture expressed in the MSM and many other quarters over her recent DNC speech (even Hugh Hewitt, for example, gushed like crazy).

I also recall numerous FB friends describing how they were shivering, weeping, cheering, etc., while Michelle spoke. They see her as a goddess, even farther beyond criticism than BO himself.

* A little while ago Facebook Trends had the story on Hillary Clinton’s health, stating that over 1M people were talking about it. Then it just disappeared from the trending list. The top story now is about Steve Harvey meeting his look-alike on Family feud, with 62K people discussing it. They’re also telling me about how 1.2K (1,200) people are discussing Terrelle Pryor making a catch in a football game.

I’m not very facebook savvy, but that looks a bit suspicious to me.

* Just reviewed drudge’s reverse angle video of Hillary’s event.
She is stiff, uncoordinated, halting in a global, whole body fashion.
The black assistant(same guy in another video who comes to podium?) lets her start to walk on her own, not something one would do if she were fainting.
If she were fainting, she should have been supine and rushed to ER.
It appears the event was not unexpected.
This adds more credence that she has a significant movement disorder.
The process is poorly controlled as one can see.

* I think the reason Trump is ahead and pulling away is that the dems aren’t considering “rhetoric fatigue” they may be creating by constantly doubling-down on their politically correct catch-phrases by her party, and especially the news outlets who have declared they can no longer report the news in a professional manner regarding Trump. Looking at you, NYT.

Because of this, I think recruiting Michelle Obama is a YUGE mistake. She’s a monolith of shrill, superficial inane catchphrases, and her “bitch face” has not improved over the years, not to mention the national “negro-fatigue” that many who are not a negro, or negrophile, is currently suffering from to dangerous degrees.

* One suspects that her SS contingent hates her guts and might be acting a bit slow as a result. I bet there was a lot of smirking going on and maybe a few toasts later that night at the bar.

* As far as I can tell, Michelle Obama has mostly gone through life wanting Ann Romney’s life.

* I wish the NYT’s would just tell the truth for once and write that the Obamas hate the Clintons. There is no way that Michelle or Barack Obama wants Hillary to win the presidency despite their obligatory and occasional voice of support required by Democrats. If Hillary loses, drops out of the race or dies before November 8th then the Obamas will reign supreme with the insiders of the Democrat party for another 4 to 8 years. If Hillary wins, the Obamas are out of the spotlight and will make much less money.

* It does not take genius to note that the Obama Machine is in rivalry with the Clinton Machine for control of the patronage spigot. Deciding who gets favors, that affect trillions of dollars. And they keep thousands of people employed. Who have a direct stake in the money machines going.

For them its not about mass immigration, as much as keeping their court position open in the royal house of Clinton or Obama. The Republican Party has a weaker version of, the Bush dynasty, but that’s it.

Plus as a practical matter a Black candidate means big Black turnout, 98% Black vote, and about 40% of the White vote, particularly virtue signaling White women. So there’s that.

ESPN Chokes On Poz

Comment: ESPN is so pozzed that it’s quickly becoming unwatchable for average cracker-men. Sometimes I’ll hit the gym at lunch time and pass by the TVs.

Today as a random sample:
ESPN: SportsCenter w/ Cari Champion (black, female)
ESPN 2: His & Hers w/ Michael Smith (black, male) and Jemele Hill (black female)

Topic of discussion:
-Kaepernick, Kaepernick and more Kaepernick
-NCAA removing various championship tournaments from North Carolina because those reactionary Neanderthals insist that only women use the women’s locker rooms.
-Adam Jones lamenting how MLB doesn’t encourage Kaepernick-like protests because “baseball is a white man’s sport”.

The “30 for 30″ documentaries started out kinda awesomely a few years ago, but now every other episode is LGBTQ or Grrrl Power themed.

As fate would have it, ESPN has lost 3.2 million subscribers over the past year.

Let it burn.

‘Rod Dreher reacts to Charles Murray’s snobby libertarian dismissal of Trump’

Rod Dreher writes: This is the thing that drives me nuts about libertarians. It is a philosophy that works for people who have a significant degree of self-control, or who at least have internalized a social ethic of self-control. That is not most of humanity. When we were a more religious country, there was a certain moral code imposed by the mainstream that, fair or not, kept a lot of people from going off the rails. That’s gone.

Just yesterday I ran into a friend who told me about N., a woman we both know. N. is a white working class woman who, earlier this summer, left her husband and three kids to run off with a guy she met. Now she’s strung herself out on pills, and has left that guy. Some variation on this story plays out over and over among a people that within living memory may have lacked money and education, but had a coherent, binding moral code by which they lived.

Clinton team avoided ER to conceal details of her medical treatment

Comment: “Everyone had it but it’s not contagious. Gotcha.”

“Hillary was surrounded by germs (no wonder she had pneumonia!), but she wasn’t going to pass them on to her grandkids or the little photo-op flower girl (not that kind of pneumonia). She just got diagnosed on Friday. How do they know what germs are causing her pneumonia? How do they know she’s not contagious?”

New York Post: Clinton’s spokesman said that in addition to her illness, “several of the senior staff have been afflicted with something or other for the last few days.”

“I was sick for a couple of days. I had the mild form of it,” Fallon said.

The stricken staffers included campaign manager Robby Mook, and two top aides who needed emergency medical treatment — one of whom was taken by ambulance to a hospital emergency room after collapsing from severe dehydration, People magazine reported.

Fallon told CNN that Clinton’s pneumonia, which she is treating with antibiotics, was “not contagious.”

DOJ Study Finds “Real And Nearly Unprecedented” Spike In Homicides Around U.S.

Zero Hedge: The New York Times recently compiled data from around the country and found there were nearly 6,700 homicides reported in the 100 largest cities in 2015, a YoY increase of 950 or roughly 17%, with nearly half of the rise — 480 of the 950 — coming from seven cities. Their study is tied to a June 2016 report published by the National Institute of Justice in which Richard Rosenfeld, a criminology professor at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, declared that “the [2015] homicide increase in the nation’s large cities was real and nearly unprecedented.”

Murder rates rose significantly in 25 of the nation’s 100 largest cities last year, according to an analysis by The New York Times of new data compiled from individual police departments.

The findings confirm a trend that was tracked recently in a study published by the National Institute of Justice. “The homicide increase in the nation’s large cities was real and nearly unprecedented,” wrote the study’s author, Richard Rosenfeld, a criminology professor at the University of Missouri-St. Louis who explored homicide data in 56 large American cities.

In the Times analysis, half of the increase came from just seven cities — Baltimore, Chicago, Cleveland, Houston, Milwaukee, Nashville and Washington.

Will Hillary Take Two Weeks Off?

Comments at Steve Sailer:

* That’s an awful big risk, Steve. The first day (night) she emerges would be on live TV, in front of about 100 million viewers. Anything, like say, repeated coughing fits, sudden jerky movements, having to abruptly leave to go to the bathroom, etc. would be badly interpreted. Couldn’t really spin or explain those things away.

AND….if she were to say, fall down or sway back and forth while gripping the podium and its noticeably apparent that she’s having difficulty in maintaing her balance? How would that look in front of the whole world? First day back and she falls down/

100 million viewers, and with constant tweeting and facebook posts. On live television. Makes Al Gore’s sighs totally forgettable and those sighs perhaps cost him hundreds of thousands of votes. How many votes would she lose if she fell down? Or coughed for repeated amounts of time? On live television.

Awfully big risk.

* The only image for the Clinton campaign worst than her going all syncopal on the debate stage is her going syncopal and Trump rushing to catch her, doing so, lowering her to the ground, and calling for help.

That is the election right there, folks, if that happens.

* Contrast Hillary’s schedule with Trump’s:

https://www.donaldjtrump.com/schedule

Five events in five states in the next three days. How does a 70 year old man maintain that kind of energy?

* Melania.

When the woman who crawls into bed with you is 24 years your junior and an ex-model … it’s gotta help.

* No tobacco or alcohol products. Also, he’s used to the stress of running his own business. He’s known to work up to 16-18hrs per day. He only sleeps about 4-5hrs per night.

* That’s nothing. Hillary schmoozed at eight Hamptons mansions, feted by four senescent rock stars, in three days.

* Thomas Wictor wrote in his blog on August 8 that he could see she wore a defibrillator under her clothes.

Go to the last item of that post for the pictures.

Wictor claims this is why she wears the clothing she wears – to hide it.

Hillary Clinton’s vest uses the anteroposterior placement of the pads. The posterior pad is in her right infrascapular region.

defibrillator_vest-1

* Whatever happend to left-wing critiques of television? I remember in the 80s, people on the left were always talking about the pernicious influence of television. There were books like Neal Postman’s Amusing Ourselves to Death, a fairly influential book when it came out in 1985. Then there were all the “Kill Your Television” bumper-stickers, and the endless critiques of “If it bleeds, it leads” local news broadcasts. Even Don Henley got in on it with his song Dirty Laundry.

But nowadays, polite, middle-brow liberal opinion seems to think that TV is just swell. NPR, Slate, Huffington, etc. are always going on about the latest shows – Game of Thrones, Mad Men, etc. Tuning into Dallas every week, and caring about the character arc of JR Ewing made you a square and a philistine, but binge-watching Mad Men, and caring about the character arc of Don Draper makes you a hip sophisticate.

Now that TV reflects their opinions 24/7, liberals just love TV, and any notion that it might be a corrosive influence on society has been seemingly discarded.

* Look here’s the thing if anyone else say your family member or friend collapsed in front of you the way Hillary did, you’d call 911 and have them taken to a ER, you would not take them home.

Hillary didn’t do this, they threw her in her medi-ride van like a sack of potatoes and disappeared for two hours. Guess what they told the press they were not allowed to follow. Excuse me, when the f**k does a private individual get off telling the press it can’t cover them?

They can’t, but the press is so docile they’ll do whatever Hillary tells them to do.

That said, any doctor or nurse worth their salt would freak if their saw their patient collapse like Hillary and call 911. This is medicine gone bad, very bad.

BTW reviewing the video, I think she had a seizure. Initially she looked stiff as a board then collapsed.

* Hillary most likely has Binswanger’s Disease, a progressive degeneration of the white myelinated matter that surrounds the cerebral cortex. This is usually caused by multiple hemorragic strokes to the tiny blood vessels of that area. Hillary’s symptoms of impaired coordination, gait, fixed pupils and sudden freezes of her musculature fit Binswanger’s Disease to a T. Usually, it is caused by chronic high blood pressure due to consistently being angry, or due to amphetamine abuse – which increases sytolic blood pressure by being sympathomimetics.

It is pretty obvious that Hillary, being a ruthlessly ambitious woman who has endured a great deal of frustration in her life, such as having to put up with Bill’s cheating and losing the nomination to Obama simply because he is black, has severely affected her health.

The interesting thing about BD is that it does not affect general intelligence, as the grey matter of the frontal lobes is not affected, and is very well-nourished by it’s own supply of blood. However, several areas of the brain are affected, as well as the ability to integrate information wit emotion, which is one of the functions of white matter. People with BD have their logical and abstract thinking unaffected, but they become more erratic, less emotive but at the same time more impulsive, with poor judgement and with decreased ability to put their own emotions in context.

Hillary is still relatively young to be suffering from Alzheimer’s. Besides, her reasoning skills and memory do not fit the diagnosis of someone with dementia. Her symptoms are mostly motor, which indicated compromised functioning of her myelinated nerves.

* The best issue for Trump is crime. He should be accusing Hillary of siding with criminals over the police and put her in the no-win situation of endorsing or disavowing BLM.

* Clearly, Hillary is part of that Dying White Majority.

* The fact of the matter is, the video clearly shows she didn’t “stumble.” She completely lost her ability to walk or stand. Her legs turned to jello, and she was dragged into the van like a rag doll.

The more news organizations attempt to redraw what can be watched over and over on a video, the less confidence the public will have in that new organization’s favored candidate. If any news organization is undermining national security with it’s draconian politics, it’s CNN.

They say families in denial self-destruct. The same goes for political parties.

* His superpower is that he transforms the adulation he gets in his rallies into something akin to the fountain of youth- so powerful that it defies death and sickness. It’s a positive feedback loop really. The crowds are invigorated by Trump’s violation of taboos and they unwittingly provide him with a weird energy that enables him to keep going. Like Dracula thriving on his victims’ blood, so Trump thrives on his followers’ adulation.
It’s like we’re witnessing something supernatural when I’m wearing my tinfoil hat. But I’ve always believed he is the incarnation of the mythical Trickster, like Bugs Bunny and Satan.
Hillary lacks this power. Poor woman, her body is betraying her just when the prize is in sight.

* But it’s still completely hilarious to watch the media sputter and grope for an angle where Hillary somehow doesn’t look worse than Nixon with the obvious, repeated lies about critical points of contention. And after every new round of shoveling her shit, something even more dramatic happens to blow up the house of cards they just built. At this rate, she’ll die of a brain hemorrhage live in front of 100 million people during the first debate.

* What’s intriguing is the rumor floated by David Schuster that the DNC was looking for options to dump her. Replacing her with someone less ill and more charismatic (assuming you can get both) is still a risky move at this stage. Trying to replace her and failing would be a disaster for the Dems. I’m guessing they’ll sit tight and sweat it out, but if Hillary is elected it’ll be in spite of herself.

* Trump is staying pretty quiet about her health, not hammering it. So it wouldn’t be him raising expectations of her falling apart at the debates. But you’re right, anything short of Hillary projectile vomiting blood will be perceived as debunking health-related conspiracy theories by the MSM.

* Haven’t we seen DT dissolve into uncontrollable coughing fits many times? Wasn’t he thrown into a medivan like a sack of potatoes just yesterday? Hasn’t he been wearing funny glasses after his concussion? All of these things are deeply concerning.

* According to what I’ve been reading, about half her senior staff have been pretty sick too, so their illnesses have been keeping Hillary sick and running down her energy for the past several weeks. Frankly, this is great news for Trump. At Hillary’s age, you don’t recover quickly from pneumonia. She’s got about 8 weeks before the election. She cannot afford to be down for the count at this time period, along with much of her campaign staff, because we’re heading into the final sprint. In military terms, you can’t lose your general and officer corps if you want to win the battle.

It’s fitting that a set of people who thought nothing encouraging mass emigration of unaccompanied children from Central and South America, bringing diseases like Enterovirus 68 into the American population, should themselves be flattened by disease. They need to face the reality of why you don’t want the Third World here.

* Team Trump can’t figure out why The Donald insists on doing wind sprints the exact distance of the podiums as part of “pre-debate prep” but he says that it’ll all be worth it.

* Spin, spin, spin. On front page of NYTimes, it says right now “Hillary Loses Balance at 9/11 Memorial”. Not “Loses Consciousness” but “Loses Balance” – you see the poor woman just stumbled a bit (right before her handlers heaved her into the medivan like a sack of potatoes).

And then it says “Watching, and Wincing , as Hillary Stumbles”. Again, she just stumbled -maybe her heel got caught on a imperfection in the pavement (right before her handlers heaved her into the medivan like a sack of potatoes). I’m sure if it was Trump who stumbled, the reported would have winced in exactly the same way (right before she started cheering).

And then more good news – “Clinton to Offer More Detailed Information on Medical History”. However, a spokesman said the records would show “no other undisclosed condition.” Nothing to see here folk, move along.

Nothing but good news for Hillary today! Any more good news like this and she is undone. Trump may be Scottish and German but the man has the luck of the Irish.

* So far, I haven’t read a single word from the media about the possibility that Clinton’s pneumonia “diagnosis” is a lie. The rumor that it’s a lie is everywhere, but the media don’t know nuffin. They’re treating the cover story as Gospel Truth, and won’t even mention alternative possibilities.

Which means, it’s probably a lie. This explanation seems more consistent with the facts, anyway; no politician in her right mind would touch a child for the cameras if she’d just been diagnosed with pneumonia, never mind enter the same apartment with her 2 year old granddaughter. In fact, no pol would do that if her cover story was going to be pneumonia, meaning, the pneumonia story was fabricated by Clinton hacks after it became apparent they’d need a cover story better than “overheating,” because some ignorant peasant concerned citizen recorded the whole thing with his cell phone camera.

C-note says this thing unravels on Clinton.

* My best guess is that the problem behind her pneumonia — if that’s indeed what it is — is a chronic one, and isn’t going to go away by taking a few days rest. Once she goes back on the campaign, she’s going to run into the same issue.

One piece of evidence of this being a chronic and serious condition is that she basically took all of August off — except, of course, to show up at the homes of friends/donors who would hardly represent a demanding audience. Why would she reduce her schedule to such events if she were in robust health? If all that near vacation time didn’t enable her to come out vigorous in September, and instead left her in the wasted condition we have seen, then she very likely has a pretty serious thing going on that will flair up as soon as she returns to a genuinely challenging schedule.

What is her staff going to say when she has still another bout of “pneumonia”? And if she goes missing as she did in August without any explanation, how is that going to be spun in a way that won’t be hugely damaging?

My guess is that Hillary — with Bill at her side “encouraging” her — is in some deep denial about her health. I think she’s just hoping against hope to make it through to the end without a big problem, but that there’s high likelihood she’s going to fall apart before she gets there.

* Trump has finally found handlers who will protect him from his own worst enemy, himself. He is firing on all cylinders and knows that the election is his if he can just control his mouth, which apparently he can. Watch the polls because once they tip in favor of the Donald, Democrats will be abandoning Hillary like rats off a burning ship.

* Her staff were strikingly unflustered. They didn’t seem to treat anything that happened to her as a unique crisis, just as another day at the office for them all.

* If you watch the video a few times ignoring Collapsible Hillary, and instead watching the faces and manners of her handlers, their nonchalance is pretty shocking. They’ve been there; done that, for certain.

A look inside that back of that van would also likely be fascinating.

* I thought Wag the Dog was a cynical movie but Hillary thought it was a “How To” show.

* I wonder if Bill, Hill, and Chuck Schumer were ever talking and somebody brought up how Imam Gulen had taken over the police in Turkey by controlling the Test Prep business and suddenly it occurred to them that they’d missed out. Instead of undertaking a long march through the institutions by scratching backs, they could have just bought out Kaplan and Princeton Review and ETS and taken over directly.
