Is There Oral Sex After Marriage?

I didn’t say all women stop giving blowjobs after marriage. I say that women’s interest in sex, 95% of the time, is significantly less than men’s (with the exception of the first year of courtship where it is often close to even, but this does not last).

Jennifer Moses writes:

A woman I know, with two mature daughters, said, “If I could do it again, I wouldn’t even have slept with my own husband before marriage. Sex is the most powerful thing there is, and our generation, what did we know?”

We are the first moms in history to have grown up with widely available birth control, the first who didn’t have to worry about getting knocked up. We were also the first not only to be free of old-fashioned fears about our reputations but actually pressured by our peers and the wider culture to find our true womanhood in the bedroom. Not all of us are former good-time girls now drowning in regret—I know women of my generation who waited until marriage—but that’s certainly the norm among my peers.

So here we are, the feminist and postfeminist and postpill generation. We somehow survived our own teen and college years (except for those who didn’t), and now, with the exception of some Mormons, evangelicals and Orthodox Jews, scads of us don’t know how to teach our own sons and daughters not to give away their bodies so readily. We’re embarrassed, and we don’t want to be, God forbid, hypocrites.

Still, in my own circle of girlfriends, the desire to push back is strong. I don’t know one of them who doesn’t have feelings of lingering discomfort regarding her own sexual past. And not one woman I’ve ever asked about the subject has said that she wishes she’d “experimented” more.

The Discriminating Church

From DennisPrager.com:

Wednesday, March 23, 2011 Radio Show
20110323 – 01 Discriminating Church
Prager H1: An unmarried pastor claims he’s a victim of discrimination because of his marital status. This may be true, but is it wrong? Why can’t a church say it wants a married pastor to lead its parishioners? This is an issue that says a lot about where our society is today.

Wednesday, March 23, 2011 Radio Show
20110323 – 02 Male/Female Hour: Looking Back
Prager H2: When women of the past couple of generations, the sexually liberated generations, look back on their past, are they happy with their sexual experiences? Do they wish they might have been a little more traditional in their thinking? Callers tell their stories.

Wednesday, March 23, 2011 Radio Show
20110323 – 03 Anxious about Libya
Prager H3: As the West keeps it up attack on Libya, there are disturbing questions about who we are fighting for… Today is the first anniversary of one of the worst, if not the worst single piece of legislation ever written – ObamaCare. Even a good liberal like Starbucks CEO, Howard Schultz, has his doubts.

I Thought There Would Be Plenty

The Happiest Moment Of My Life

I knew this girl at school. She was super cute. Busty. Asian. Sweet. Shy. Christian!

Just how I love ’em!

I thought I’d never have her. That’s how my life had been — that which I wanted most — a mother, health, community, stability, friends — was always out of reach.

Surely this fine Christian girl would be no different.

We parted ways when illness forced me to drop out of school.

Somehow, I got her mailing address. Though I was feeling low, I didn’t want to come across to my dream girl as needy. So I limited myself to writing her once or twice a year.

And half the time, she wrote me back.

I had so much that I wanted to share with her. I wanted to tell her about my desperation and my fear and my loss of hope, but to the best of my ability, I kept an upbeat tone with my letters.

In the darkness of my life, however, I fantasized about her and the field of dreams that was her body.

I’d never had a busty girlfriend, you see. God hadn’t blessed me that way.

The years rolled by. I feared I’d never get well.

And then I did. Sorta. All thanks to a skinny girl 11 years my senior with A-cup breasts.

I came back to Westwood in March 1994. Staying alone in a friend’s apartment, I called my dream girl and a couple of days later, she came over.

We sat on the porch on the fourth floor and looked out at the city.

She’d aged — she was about 24 now and a recent university graduate — and she wasn’t as hot as six years previous, but she was still my fantasy.

And as we sat in the sun, I did something very unusual for me — I turned the conversation towards sex.

A few seconds later, she leaned over and kissed me on the lips.

I kissed her back and then took her in my arms — my heart swelling — and pulled her inside, slowly removing her clothes.

When the last vestige was gone and she told me she was a virgin and I lay with her on my bed, that was the happiest moment in my life. I had what I wanted most.

I was 27 years old. I had two-thirds of my health back. I was at UCLA. I had my (Reform) conversion to Judaism. And in my arms, I held my naked dream girl.

I was like the victor in World War II standing in a French wheat field in the May sun with my arms spread wide proclaiming, “Soon there will be plenty!”

That Spring of 1994, I was cock sure there’d always be plenty of love in my life.

Feel Like A Million Dollars

I’m listening to this Lifelong Success program by Igor Ledochowski.

I can’t believe I’ve listened to lecture number six on self-esteem three times!

Normally I can’t be bothered to listen to anything on self-esteem. I loathe the topic. I can’t stand talk about self-love.

But Igor Ledochowski got through to me when he made the point that when you feel solid in an area of your life, nothing people can say to you in that area can hurt you. You’re solid. You’re impervious to people putting you down in that area. You just feel sorry for people who try to shake your confidence in that area.

If you’re at peace with yourself in a part of your life, you can’t be bothered by the comments of others. This has nothing to do with being perfect, it is all about being at peace with yourself.

Here are some areas of my life where criticism does not hurt me:

* My decision to convert to Judaism.
* My beard.
* My decision to train to teach Alexander Technique.
* My blog posts where I have been fair and balanced and accurate.
* My decision to spend years in therapy.
* My decision to pray every day and to study Torah and to do mitzvahs.

Here are areas of my life where criticism does hurt me:

* When somebody points out to me how I have unnecessarily hurt someone and done harm. When I have used somebody.
* When I have written something unfair or inaccurate.

So in what areas can people hurt you? Only in those areas of your life where you don’t feel solid, where you are not at peace with yourself and the decisions you are making.

Igor made a similar point about positive mental attitude, another phrase that typically turns my mind off, but Igor points out that while not all successful people have a positive mental attitude about all of their life, all successful people have a positive mental attitude in those areas of life where they are successful.

I listen to Igor’s lectures and his guided meditations every night before I go to bed (and often listen to them more when I wake up in the night and can’t sleep).

Arab League Tells America To Drop Dead

Dennis Prager writes:

Many readers will recall one of the most famous headlines in modern American newspaper history — the 1975 New York Daily News headline “Ford to City: Drop Dead.”

Substitute “Arab League” for “Ford” and “America” for “City” and you’ve got the perfect headline: “Arab League to America: Drop Dead.”

I always thought the best illustration of “chutzpah” was that of the boy who kills his parents and then pleads with the court for mercy, on the grounds that he is an orphan.

But given that that is only a hypothetical example, we now have a better illustration of chutzpah because this one is true.

Witnessing the Libyan dictator Moammar Gadhafi’s large-scale killings of Libyan civilians, the Arab League begged us, the Europeans and the Security Council to militarily intervene on behalf of the Libyan people.

So, despite the fact that America is rather weary of fighting Muslim mass murderers, is militarily overstretched and has a devastating national debt, America said yes. We are the most decent country on Earth, and even a liberal-left Democrat in the White House feels the moral pull of America’s legacy, values and unparalleled strength.

But no sooner have America and the Europeans intervened than the Arab League officially protests our intervention on the grounds that Libyan civilians — 48 claimed, 0 confirmed at the time of the protest — have been killed by the intervention requested by the Arab League.

What exactly did the Arab League, most of whose dictators have murdered thousands of their own people for political reasons, think would happen once the U.S. and the Europeans intervened militarily? Did they assume not one Libyan civilian would get killed? Has there been a military action in history in which no civilians died?

Amr Moussa, the outgoing secretary general of the Arab League, claimed in his statement that “What is happening in Libya differs from the aim of imposing a no-fly zone, and what we want is the protection of civilians and not the bombardment of more civilians.”

Perhaps Moussa did not read the Security Council resolution. It does not limit anti-Gadhafi military activity to “imposing a no-fly zone.” The resolution authorizes U.N. member states “to take all necessary measures to protect civilians and civilian populated areas under threat of attack in the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya, including Benghazi (italics added).”

Egypt Heads In Wrong Direction

From DennisPrager.com:

Tuesday, March 22, 2011 Radio Show
20110322 – 01 The Wrong Direction
Prager H1: The vote for a new constitution for Egypt went in the wrong direction. It helps the people we don’t like, the Muslim Brotherhood, and hurts the people we do… The President announces we’re in Libya as a humanitarian gesture. But how long will it last? No one seems to know… Leftist Democrats think we’re in Libya for oil.

Tuesday, March 22, 2011 Radio Show
20110322 – 02 Insulting Evangelicals
Prager H2: Chris Matthews and David Corn of Mother Jones have a laugh while insulting Evangelicals’ devotion to the nation of Israel. Have Matthews or Corn ever had a coffee with an Evangelical, let alone tried to understand their theology?.. Why do Leftists defend Israel’s enemies?

Tuesday, March 22, 2011 Radio Show
20110322 – 03 Ultimate Issues Hour: Raising Good Kids
Prager H3: How do you raise good kids? The question is critically important to the future of our society. We train people to be brain surgeons. But there are no goodness lessons. Parents need to ask themselves: what do you most want your child to be – successful, smart, good.
