Factory and assembly line workers? Gardeners? Astronauts? Police, fire, and armed forces? Cowboys? Security guards? Sports? Daredevil performance? Circus? Clergy of other religions. Almost anything in Africa, China, Japan, Korea?

I Just Shaved My Head

The Israeli barber was rude, saying he was booked all day. If I didn’t have an appointment, he couldn’t serve me. Nor could his co-worker. They were too busy for the likes of me. Two years I’ve been going there! So I’m cutting my own hair. What could possibly go wrong?

I get my Norelco beard trimmer and set it to “5” and shave my head. It’s been six months since I last got a haircut. I hate spending $60 a year (for three haircuts) when I could just do it myself. It looks great! I feel like Travis Bickle in Taxi Driver.

All the animals come out at night – whores, skunk pussies, buggers, queens, fairies, dopers, junkies, sick, venal. Someday a real rain will come and wash all this scum off the streets. I go all over. I take people to the Bronx, Brooklyn, I take ’em to Harlem. I don’t care. Don’t make no difference to me. It does to some. Some won’t even take spooks. Don’t make no difference to me.

You talkin’ to me? You talkin’ to me? You talkin’ to me? Then who the hell else are you talking… you talking to me? Well I’m the only one here. Who the f*** do you think you’re talking to? Oh yeah? OK.

The idea had been growing in my brain for some time: TRUE force. All the king’s men cannot put it back together again.

The days go on and on… they don’t end. All my life needed was a sense of someplace to go. I don’t believe that one should devote his life to morbid self-attention, I believe that one should become a person like other people.

I first saw her at Palantine Campaign headquarters at 63rd and Broadway. She was wearing a white dress. She appeared like an angel. Out of this filthy mess, she is alone. They… cannot… touch… her.

I realize now how much she’s just like the others, cold and distant, and many people are like that, women for sure, they’re like a union.

Now I see this clearly. My whole life is pointed in one direction. There never has been a choice for me.

I wonder if Jews are smarter because the less intelligent among us converted to Christianity.

I wish I had a just little more hair so my hair clips would keep my yarmulke on.

The white people I know rarely wear strong perfume or cologne, but many of the blacks and Persians I know do.

Big Cadillacs are huge with black men, I see, but unpopular with whites.

I can’t think of any movie directors who got better with age, certainly not past 60.

Biblical Illiteracy

Most Christian clergy (including most with PhDs in Religion) are illiterate in the languages of the Bible (Hebrew for the Hebrew Bible, and Greek for the New Testament) while many rabbis (particularly Reform rabbis) have only a shaky grasp of Hebrew.

When you ask them about this, you’ll notice they’ll have such elaborate explanations for why they don’t need to know the languages of the Bible to instruct their congregants on what the Bible says.

Almost none of the pundits who supported the 2003 invasion of Iraq were literate in Arabic. They didn’t know what they were talking about, no more than the average Christian clery or Reform rabbi does when he tells you what the sacred text means.

Reform rabbis will tell you that the Torah does not come from God, it is the work of men, and hence it is not important to be able to read it fluently in the original. Christian clergy will tell you that as long as you are guided by the Church (if they are Catholic) or by the Holy Spirit (if they are Protestant), you’ll be fine expounding on a text you can’t read easily in the original. They’ll talk about having commentaries and context and the wisdom of their faith and their relationship with the Lord to guide them. They’ll argue that as long as you love God and love your neighbor, everything will fall into place. That’s the true teaching of the Bible, yadda yadda.

People — including clergy — will say anything to maintain their high status position while simultaneously avoiding the hard work of earning their place. Robbers also have explanations for why their thievery is justified.

I have no interests in the Biblical views of those who can’t read the Bible in its original languages and I have no interest in the Middle East views of pundits who can’t read Arabic.

My Google Page Speed Nightmare

On February 13, 2013, I got an invitation to try out Google Page Speed service. I did. I reconfigured my servers. I was excited to triple the speed for readers of my website. And then the thing just turned into a nightmare.

I’ve sunk countless hours into getting Google Page Speed to work and it never has for me for very long. Instead, it has kept knocking my website off-line, and driving down my number of regular readers by half. It was a royal pain to kill off as well. Every time I thought I had the thing disabled, it would come back and knock my website off-line. Tonight, with help from my hosting company, I believe I have finally killed it.

Race & The Jews

I emailed Neville Nagler, distinguished English civil servant and former leader of the Board of Deputies of British Jews:

I was curious about these sentence about you on an anti-Jewish website and wondered if they were accurate? “Throughout the 1970s and 1980s Nagler was the head of the Home Office Department responsible for race relations matters. The Jewish Chronicle has boasted of the influence of this Pinner, Middlesex, Synagogue official. It revealed that whenever a Cabinet Minister made a speech on the subject of race relations, notes for the text were always drafted by Nagler.”

Mr. Nagler replied:

Dear Luke,
Thanks for your email.
I had seen this quote several times before. I used to work in the Home Office, and from 1980–83 was head of the division that dealt with race relations. At the same time I was Treasurer of our local synagogue. It was no secret that I was Jewish, and the Home Office Ministers at the time knew this. My job did require me to draft some speeches for Ministers, but the quotation is an exaggeration: I was certainly not responsible for preparing every speech a UK Government made on the subject of race relations, and the implication that I influenced government policy improperly is of course untrue and unacceptable.

At the end of 1994, Neville Nagler wrote to the British journal Spectator about William Cash’s article on Jews in Hollywood:

SIR: William Cash’s article about Jewish influence in Hollywood has caused a great deal of offense and outrage. His suggestion that the founders of a new studio venture are more likely to succeed if they are Jews is bizarre… The reference to a ‘rabbinical blessing’ from an individual who is a Jew but has no pretensions to rabbinical status is crudely offensive…
Mr. Cash refers to a possible ‘Jewish cabal’ and asks pointedly whether this cabal seeks to exclude or discriminate against non-Jews. This language perpetrates the discredited old myth about a Jewish conspiracy and a Jewish monopoly of power which is allegedly used to disadvantage and exclude non-Jews. There is no credible evidence to support the evidence of a ‘Jewish cabal’ operating to exclude non-Jews. The deeply offensive reference to a ‘Jewish cabal’ is compounded by sneering references to ‘a socially maladroit and culturally nihilistic white sock meritocracy’ or a ‘white sock mediocracy’.
Overall this is a deeply unpleasant and distasteful article…It should not have found a place in a serious journal.

Why I Won’t End Up Like Michael Hutchence

I’m feeling emotional about watching the Australian movie about INXS — Never Tear Us Apart.

INXS was my first rock concert — in the summer of 1985. I was 19.

I will not end up like Michael Hutchence because:

* I don’t drink or drug or hang out with those who do.
* I belong to an organized religion.
* I believe in God.
* I go to therapy every week.
* I write in my journal every day.
* I go to 12-step groups.
* I practice the principles of the Alexander Technique.
* For all the darkness I allow into my life, I always insist on pursuing some transcendence every day and never allow the scales to tilt towards destruction.
* Every day, I choose life.

From page 131: “One of my professors in graduate school at the University of Chicago once told us, ‘If you had a time machine and traveled back to Greece in the first century A.D., dropping in to observe a gathering of a cell group of Paul’s followers meeting in Corinth, don’t assume you would have even the slightest idea of what was going on.'”

David Duke & David Irving

David Irving is the subject of a great Wikipedia profile. He lost a libel lawsuit against Deborah Lipstadt. Here is David’s side.

Jack the Jew* emails: David Duke of course came to his views on race through the KKK. It is easy to think of David Duke as a clown, but his views on Jews largely parallel Kevin MacDonald’s.

David Irving is a different case. He was a respected amateur historian and popular author about military matters. He is educated guy and a really talented writer. Because he speaks and reads German fluently, he has used original source material for his works. He is more responsible than anyone, other than Kurt Vonnegut, for publicizing British firebomb raid on Dresden (for fans of Pynchon’s Gravity’s Rainbow, it plays a significant part in that book as well). What happened with Irving is that in all of his original research, he was unable to come up with anything linking Hitler with direct orders to exterminate the Jews. He also minimized the number of Jews who were deliberately killed. (The numbers, even from established historians of the Holocaust, are all over the map. Arno Mayer, who wrote, Why did the Heavens not darken, in that book said that more Jews died of disease and other causes than were put to death in gas chambers in Auschwitz.)

Deborah Lipstadt wrote a book in which she called Irving a Holocaust Denier, lumping him with people who were explicit Holocaust deniers. Irving sued her in England for libel and lost. In the process Irving’s historical research was shredded by Richard Evans, another British historian of WWII and the Nazis, because Evans said that Irving had deliberately shaped his books and opinions by ignoring some facts and stressing others to reach a desired result.

This result of the trial pretty much ruined Irving’s reputation among serious historians. However, there are a number of points that really have to be made in Irving’s defense: Irving foolishly represented himself at trial whereas Libstadt’s team consisted of the best barristers in England paid millions of pounds by wealthy Jews including Spielberg. Evans was paid hundreds of thousands of pounds to testify as an expert witness, and in subsequent events, has been criticized by neutral sources as someone who has made serious errors in his own works. Irving made all of his source materials available to the defense and Lipstadt refused to turn over much of what she had that she based her claim in the book on.

Irving is probably the English speaking historian who knows the most about the Nazi leadership having read and translated Goebbels diaries, written a book on Goebels and on Himmler as well as on other aspects. Irving has also changed his views on the extent of the Holocaust. He still doesn’t think it can be attributed to Hitler, but does think that others in the leadership were involved, and he now concedes that there were extermination camps and that at least hundreds of thousands of Jews were killed.

Christopher Hitchens strongly supported Irving’s right to his opinions and his books. The question is always one of whether histories should be refuted by calling its author a racist or an anti-Semite or refuted with facts. Irving was not some crank pounding out tracts. He may have had an agenda as Evans testified, but if that is the case, identify the agenda as Evans did and show how Irving distorted the facts. However, that may be true for some of the parts of Irving’s works, its certainly not true for most of them.

Australia’s cutting edge comedic talent usually pops up first on the public Australian Broadcasting Company. The commercial network wouldn’t touch these comics because of fear of backlash. The comics are then brought over to the commercial channels when they get famous and move on to more mainstream and tame shows.

One great show is The Chasers War On Everything:

Australia’s Dirtiest Jobs Going To Immigrants

Like America before it, Australia is increasingly turning over its dirtiest jobs to immigrants. You won’t often find an Australian working in an abbatoir anymore, while 20 years ago, all of these jobs were handled by Australians. Now they are handled by immigrants such as the Chinese, Vietnamese, Afghans (half the abbatoir work force), etc. These low-skilled immigrants bring their family from overseas and you have an increasing number of neighborhoods in Australia where the white man won’t set foot.

Australia would welcome more migrants, particularly the low-skilled ones, if they would go to outlying areas instead of huddling in certain suburbs of Sydney and Melbourne.

News report:

Australian Agricultural Company (AAco), the country’s largest beef producer, is eyeing the Indian labour market to fill up 260 positions at its AUD 80-million abattoir located in Darwin.
According to business daily Australian Financial Review report, AAco Chief Executive, Mr David Farley, said the company had been working on a plan for 18 months, which includes importing workers on 457 and 417 visas from India.
“If we go into this project with the fear of unions and industrial problems then I shouldn’t be starting this project,” Mr Farley told the daily recently.
“We want to run a safe, fair and equitable plant that offers long-term employment opportunities for people and, therefore, we need a productive workforce and if we go into this project with that philosophy we will be there for a long time.
