Woodrow Wilson Headed For The Dust Bin Of History For His Racism?

Comments to Steve Sailer:

* I’m seriously starting to think that George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Abraham Lincoln may soon be put on the political chopping-block as well given that their outspoken “racism” was vastly worse than that of poor Wilson, plus they mostly supported slavery or even owned slaves themselves.

Can anyone think of the last time this has happened in a major country not undergoing a Communist revolution or a foreign occupation or something like that?

* Lincoln mass murdered white Americans, not blacks. Sure, he was openly racist and horrified with black people. Most blacks are fine with this simplification of him as the good guy. He did play a large role in emancipating black slaves.

* Princeton has 5,500 undergrads. 17 students managed to browbeat the administration like this? That’s pathetic.

* I have long suspected that the Jefferson Memorial will be renamed the Sally Hemings Memorial for Victims of Sexual Assault any day now.

Of course it is odd to see this sort of thing happening in the USA today; although this is precisely the kind of thing that has happened in previous revolutions (as in, France, Russia, etc.) What is mystifying to me however is that this “revolution” is not be led by a intelligentsia minority that seeks (or claims to seek) the betterment of 90% indigent peasants or what have you. This is simply a small and vocal minority that seems to have terrified the powerful simply by raising their voices.

It’s very strange theater.

Massive Migration Of Low-Skilled Labor Into America Hurts Blacks Most

Steve Sailer writes:

Harvard labor economist George Borjas has written a study pointing out that wages in Miami among high school dropouts got hammered by the Mariel Boatlift.

The Wage Impact of the Marielitos: A Reappraisal

George J. Borjas

ABSTRACT

This paper brings a new perspective to the analysis of the Mariel supply shock, revisiting the question and the data armed with the accumulated insights from the vast literature on the economic impact of immigration. A crucial lesson from this literature is that any credible attempt to measure the wage impact of immigration must carefully match the skills of the immigrants with those of the pre-existing workers. The Marielitos were disproportionately low-skill; at least 60 percent were high school dropouts. A reappraisal of the Mariel evidence, specifically examining the evolution of wages in the low-skill group most likely to be affected, quickly overturns the finding that Mariel did not affect Miami’s wage structure. The absolute wage of high school dropouts in Miami dropped dramatically, as did the wage of high school dropouts relative to that of either high school graduates or college graduates. The drop in the relative wage of the least educated Miamians was substantial (10 to 30 percent), implying an elasticity of wages with respect to the number of workers between -0.5 and -1.5. The analysis also documents the sensitivity of the estimated wage impact to the choice of a placebo. The measured impact is much smaller when the placebo consists of cities where pre-Mariel employment growth was weak relative to Miami.

This shouldn’t be too surprising since Miami high school dropouts in 1980 were heavily African-American, and Miami blacks were notoriously angry about the changes in their city after Mariel, rioting three times in the 1980s.

But who cares about poor African Americans? It was a good time in Miami to be a lawyer, banker, real estate developer, or all-purpose businessman with connections, such as Jeb Bush, who moved to Miami in late 1980.

COMMENTS:

* The problems of black America cannot be solved, and certainly not by whites. Yet it’s not hard to visualize economic and social policies that would improve the situation of blacks, largely by incentivizing constructive behavior and penalizing antisocial behavior. Many of these policies would also better the lots of poor Americans, unlucky Americans, shrinking-middle-class Americans, and left-side-of-the-bell-curve Americans.

Instead, our society’s elites double down on policies that benefit them and theirs.

Brazil is an inspiring model, if you are in the 1% and indifferent to asabiyah. Perhaps everyone else should be a bit more bothered by declining black wages.

* White tourists pay for prostitutes. Only Americans were banned from traveling to Cuba. Plenty of tourists from Canada and Europe.

Cubans only make about $30 a month. As of 2005 most blacks were unemployed. That’s why so many black/mulatto women go into prostitution. Blacks don’t get remittances from the states. They don’t own any of the mansions to operate businesses out of. Few blacks work in the tourism industry where they can make money in tips. Most of what blacks do to earn money is considered illegal so the prisons are 85 percent black. There are great economic disparities between the races.

The Left and the Attack on Paris

Dennis Prager writes Nov. 17, 2015: The left’s reactions to the terror attack on Paris are in keeping with its tradition of getting almost everything wrong.

Take Bernie Sanders, for example. At the Democratic presidential debate, one day after the Paris attack, the democratic socialist candidate made this observation about al-Qaida:

“I would argue that the disastrous invasion of Iraq, something that I strongly opposed, has unraveled the region completely, and led to the rise of al-Qaida and to ISIS.”

That a U.S. senator, let alone a man running for president of the United States, believes that the American invasion of Iraq led to the rise of al-Qaida should automatically disqualify him from serious consideration. It is a testimony to how many on the left twist reality to force-fit it into their ideology.

For the benefit of those too young to recall 9/11 — and who probably haven’t been told in school that Muslims in the name of Islam attacked America that day — it was al-Qaida that attacked America. In other words, al-Qaida, founded in 1988, preceded the American invasion of Iraq by 15 years.

Take President Obama’s statement on the attack:

“This is an attack not just on Paris, not just on the people on France, but an attack on all humanity and the universal values we share.”

At best, this is classic left-wing naivete; at worst, it is just nonsense produced by left-wing thinking.

This was not an “attack on all humanity.” It was an attack on Western liberal values. And it wasn’t an attack on “the universal values we share,” since there are in fact few universal values that humanity shares. If humanity shared universal values, there wouldn’t be wars, or hundreds of millions of subjugated women, or theocratic and secular tyrannies.

The president offered another piece of left-wing foolishness:

“We’re going to do whatever it takes to work with the French people and with nations around the world to bring these terrorists to justice.”

This notion of “bringing terrorists to justice” is in keeping with the left-wing denial that we are in a war — specifically a war on Islamist terror. In war you defeat — which usually involves killing — your enemy. You don’t bring them to justice; you bring domestic criminals to justice. But for the left, all the world’s Islamist terrorists are isolated criminals who by amazing coincidence happen to be Muslim.

And then there was New York Times columnist Frank Bruni.

In a column of breathtaking self-righteousness, Bruni wrote that he “felt sick” over the fact that people were saying anything about the Paris attack other than offering condolences to the French people.

“Can’t we wait until we’ve resolved the body count?” he asked…

And then there was the Iranian-American professor and best-selling author, Reza Aslan, on CNN:

“Islam doesn’t promote violence or peace. Islam is just a religion and like every religion in the world, it depends on what you bring to it. If you’re a violent person, your Islam, your Judaism, your Christianity, your Hinduism is gonna be violent.”

Another profundity from the left. There is no difference between Islam and any other religion today in terms of producing violence. It’s just that murderers are more attracted to Islam than to any other religion.

Finally, let’s not forget what is perhaps the most important of the left’s responses to Islamist terror: bringing millions of Muslims from the Middle East and North Africa into Western countries. Thanks to Angela Merkel of Germany, Europe will be welcoming nearly a million, and thanks to Barack Obama and John Kerry, America is bringing 10,000 Syrian refugees into America next year. Regarding which Hillary Clinton said in her debate the day after the Paris atrocities:

“The [Obama] administration originally said 10 [thousand]. I said we should go to 65 [thousand]…”

And U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said that America will accept 85,000 refugees next year, most of whom will be Syrians.

Just another week in the life of the left. It is doing nonviolently and internally what Islamist terror is seeking to do externally and violently — dismantle Western civilization.

The Case For Visiting Israel During A Time Of Terror

Dennis Prager writes Nov. 10, 2015:

JERUSALEM — I want to explain why I am in Israel.

I am in here with 450 American (and a German and a Canadian) listeners to my radio show. About 400 are non-Jews.

We are here on a “Stand with Israel” tour organized by the syndicator of my radio show, the Salem Radio Network, and I am accompanied by my wife, my producer Allen Estrin and his wife, and my radio colleague Mike Gallagher.

People frustrated with the direction of America and the direction of the world regularly ask: “What can I do to make any difference?”

Here is one of the best answers I know: Visit Israel. And do so especially when there are terror attacks.

If every time there were a spate of attacks on Israel, few people canceled their trips to Israel. Or, if I may imagine a much better world than we live in, tourism to Israel actually increased, three huge things would be achieved.

First, Palestinians would get the message that there are many people outside of Israel who find the stabbings of Israeli Jews morally repulsive.

Second, Palestinians would have to weigh their emotional high from murdering Israelis against the economic benefit Israel would receive in increased tourism.

Third, Israelis would know they are not alone. When I came to Israel to broadcast my show during the worst of the suicide bombings of the Intifada in 2000, Israeli after Israeli would say to me, “Thank you for coming.” (You can watch the documentary I made then.)

Israel, it ought to be recalled, is the only country in the world targeted for annihilation. That has been true from the day it was proclaimed as a state in 1948 until today. It was true before Israel was forced to conquer East Jerusalem, Gaza and the West Bank, where the Palestinians (outside of Jordan) live. It was true before there was a single Jewish settlement on the West Bank. It was true after three Israeli prime ministers — Yitzhak Rabin, Ehud Barak, and Ehud Olmert — agreed to give up virtually all of Gaza and the West Bank to Palestinians to set up a Palestinian state. It was true after Israel gave every inch of Gaza to the Palestinians.

All of which proves that when Palestinian spokesmen say they want peace, they do not mean peace with Israel. They mean peace without Israel.

‘This woman nearly destroyed a black Harvard law student’s life with lies’

Ann Coulter tweets: CNN’S THE HUNTING GROUND claims 1 in 4 women will raped or sexually assaulted in college … then admits that “sexually assaulted” includes “persistent unwanted dinner invitations.” THAT’S NOT A JOKE. This is the one exposed by liberal Emily Yoffe in liberal Slate mag. This woman nearly destroyed a black Harvard law student’s life with lies. False accuser upset the innocent black law student she accused of sex assault was allowed to appeal his Harvard suspension.

Oh my gosh -this is the Jameis Winston case!! Total railroading of Winston. Facts @thehuntinground won’t tell you. 3 separate investigations, including a Fla State Code of Conduct hearing, found Jameis Winston not to be a rapist. Rape accuser Kinsman’s story conflicts w/ “physical evidence, other witnesses & her own past statements.”

Feminists don’t understand that describing how their lives fell apart is not “evidence” of rape.

Some of these rapes on @thehuntinground sound like real rapes, but WE HAVE TO HEAR THE OTHER SIDE.

Feminists don’t understand that their reactions (“panic attacks” “couldn’t sleep” etc) are not evidence.

Emily Yoffe writes for Slate: The recent documentary The Hunting Ground asserts that young women are in grave danger of sexual assault as soon as they arrive on college campuses. The film has been screened at the White House for staff and legislators. Senate Democrat Kirsten Gillibrand, who makes a cameo appearance in the film, cites it as confirmation of the need for the punitive campus sexual assault legislation she has introduced. Gillibrand’s colleague Barbara Boxer, after the film’s premiere said, “Believe me, there will be fallout.” The film has received nearly universal acclaim from critics—the Washington Post called it “lucid,” “infuriating,” and “galvanizing”—and, months after its initial release, its influence continues to grow, as schools across the country host screenings. “If you have a daughter going to any college in America, you need to see The Hunting Ground,” the MSNBC host Joe Scarborough told his viewers in May. This fall, it will get a further boost when CNN, a co-producer, plans to broadcast the film, broadening its audience. The Hunting Ground is helping define the problem of campus sexual assault for policymakers, college administrators, students, and their parents.

The film has two major themes. One, stated by producer Amy Ziering during an appearance on The Daily Show, is that campus sexual assaults are not “just a date gone bad, or a bad hook-up, or, you know, miscommunication.” Instead, the filmmakers argue, campus rape is “a highly calculated, premeditated crime,” one typically committed by serial predators. (They give significant screen time to David Lisak, the retired psychology professor who originated this theory.) The second theme is that even when school administrators are informed of harm done to female students by these repeat offenders, schools typically do nothing in response. Director Kirby Dick has said that “colleges are primarily concerned about their reputation” and that “if a rape happens, they’ll do everything to distance themselves from it.” In the film, a former assistant dean of students at the University of North Carolina, Melinda Manning, says schools “make it difficult for students to report” sexual assault in order to avoid federal reporting requirements and to “artificially keep [their] numbers low.”

One of the four key stories told in the film illustrates both of these points. It is the harrowing account of Kamilah Willingham, who describes what happened during the early morning hours of Jan. 15, 2011, while she was a student at Harvard Law School. She says a male classmate, a man she thought was her friend, drugged the drinks he bought at a bar for her and a female friend, then took the two women back to Willingham’s apartment and sexually assaulted them. When she reported this to Harvard, she says university officials were indifferent and even hostile to her. “He’s dangerous,” she says in the film of her alleged attacker, as she tries to keep her composure. “This is a rapist. This is a guy who’s a sexual predator, who assaulted two girls in one night.” The events continue to haunt her. “It’s still right up here,” she says tearfully, placing a hand on her chest.

KU professor who used n-word in class discussion is placed on leave

News:

A Kansas University professor who used the n-word during a class discussion about race is on leave while the university investigates a discrimination complaint against her.

Andrea Quenette, assistant professor of communication studies, said she was notified Friday morning that five individuals, whose names she does not know, filed a discrimination complaint against her with KU’s Office of Institutional Opportunity and Access. She said her supervisors agreed to her request for a leave of absence with pay until the investigation concludes.

The formal complaint follows more than a week of public criticism perpetuated by graduate students in the communications department. Students have posted messages to Twitter with the hashtag #FireAndreaQuenette, shared a lengthy letter online and complained about her in a Student Senate meeting Wednesday night.

Sparking their outrage was Quenette’s use of the n-word and statements about retention rates at KU and the concept of systematic racism during her Communications Studies 930 class — focused on best practices for graduate students who teach undergraduate classes — on Nov. 12, the morning after KU’s heated university-wide town hall forum on race.

Quenette, who is 33 and has been teaching at KU for two years, said she believes academic freedom protects her comments and that they were not discriminatory.

Comment: At the University of Kansas, a small group of graduate students are intent on destroying the career of a young KU professor. They have complained that she uttered a certain word in class.

The ringleader of the bullies appears to be this person:

amySchumacher

This looks like someone trying to advance her own career by ruining the life of an untenured professor. She’s getting her name in the papers on the side of virtue. It’s unsettling that the strategy may actually work in these strange times.

While these students describe the “pain” and “fear” experienced in their professor’s class, another Kansas woman is learning to live without hands or feet after being shot during an AT&T store robbery. Her injuries led to four amputations:

Middle school counselor has her hands and feet amputated after being shot in the arm and lung during robbery at cellphone store
Julie Dombo, 61, was shot multiple times in the arm on August 11 during a robbery at a Derby AT&T store
Friends and family are raising money for Julie to cover future expenses and have raised over $50,000
Julie will go home from the hospital in the coming weeks and fears it will be a difficult transition

A former middle school counselor has lost all her hands and feet after being shot during a robbery at cellphone store.
Julie Dombo , 61, was shot in the arm and lung on August 11 at a Derby AT&T store in south-central Kansas store.
Because of oxygen deprivation to her limbs while in the hospital, her hands and legs required amputation in early September.
The Wichita Eagle reports that about $54,000 has been raised so far for Julie Dombo on Go Fund Me.

Invite The World, Invade The World

Comments: In a way, the policy of INVITE is linked with INVADE.

If West goes for INVADE but not INVITE, it sends the message that the West is at war with the Muslim world. It turns into an issue of us versus them.

And that would rob the West of the moral justification to INVADE and intervene.

After all, if the West hates the Muslim world and sees it as the enemy, the West should stay out of the Middle East, and ALL Muslims should hate the US(and the aggressive West).

The only way the West can justify its INVADE policy in the Middle East is to show that it ‘cares’ about all those Muslims. ‘We want to save you, not kill you.’

US did the same in Vietnam. ‘We want to save you, not destroy you.’

To destroy Vietnam, US had to act like it was saving it.

Same goes for the Middle East. The West cannot leave the region cuz of Israel and Jewish agenda. So, it needs some kind of moral justification.

So, even as the West treats the Muslim world as the enemy in its military actions, it must act like it is full of compassion for the Muslim world in ‘humanitarian’ matters.

Hug warmly and beat with a big stick.

PS. For those who say it is un-american for US to reject ‘refugees’, I would say it is un-american for American to pursue foreign policy that creates these ‘refugees’ in the first place.

Neo-imperialism is un-American.

Israel & Assad

Comments: “Israel had no problem with Assad except when he was acting as Iran’s errand boy. The border with Syria has been quiet with 30+ years. A stable dictatorship is good to work with – they are a known quantity and are capable of keeping their word. If they don’t, you know that it came from the top and respond accordingly. Even now, Israel has been careful to remain neutral in the Syrian civil war – their ground rules are that they retaliate if anyone (whether Assad or rebel) violates their frontier but otherwise they will just watch while the Syrians kill each other.”

* Other than random internet comments, I’ve never seen any proof that Israel wants Assad out. I admit I haven’t read intensively but WikiLeaks reveals ambiguous attitudes. They didn’t like him for supporting Hizb. and Hamas, but admitted he kept the border quiet. Any solid evidence they were trying to remove him?

Philip Weiss: The way for Americans to take on the Islamic state is to end support for Jewish nationalism

Jews tend to fear all nationalisms (which almost by definition exclude Jews) except Jewish nationalism.

Nationalism is on the march in the world today. Islamic nationalism, Jewish nationalism, white nationalism, French nationalism, black nationalism, Japanese nationalism. Nationalism is the most powerful political ideology in the world now according to John J. Mearsheimer.

I believe in nationalism for all peoples. I like to see all peoples working in their group’s interest, though I believe that above all group interests are God and His moral demands, but that’s tricky because my conception of God and His moral demands is filtered through my particular people and their tradition.

I always find a benefit in reading Mondoweiss, even though its point of view is so different from my own (they are on the left, they are anti-Zionist, while I am on the right and I am pro-Zionist).

Philip Weiss writes: An anti-Zionist in the war for the soul of Judaism, I call on all American Jews to examine how much of their support or tolerance of a Jewish state has a religious character – in the vision of Jewish agency as a redemptive historical force and answer to the Holocaust and the Jewish question in Europe. Secular Jews who prize their freedom in the United States must come to grips with the ideas of Jewish superiority and uniqueness that have propelled Zionist landgrabs and Jim Crow across Palestine to this day. Secular Jews who celebrated the Egyptian peace treaty and Oslo accords must reckon with their celebration of deals in which 80 million Arabs were put on ice in Egypt by the west and another 6 million in Palestine just so the Jewish state could continue in peace. Neoconservatives must come to terms with their promotion of a war that would stabilize Israel by destroying the great Arab cities of Baghdad, Damascus and Aleppo so far, with hundreds of thousands of Muslim victims–whose national colors are not displayed in grief on the Empire State Building, the Freedom Tower, or the Sydney Opera House. Till we undertake that inventory, there won’t be peace in the Middle East, or the west either.

Hate Is As Natural As Love

From Heartiste:

This is so sad, but not for the reasons ankle-biters think. A Frenchmanlet (you’ll understand the appellation in a minute), lost his wife, a fetching White woman, to the Muslim murderers in Paris, and now raises his infant son alone. He has what he imagines is a dispiriting message for his wife’s killers.

Dear beta males afraid to hate,

CH has a message for you that I hope will stir as many hearts as your message has lulled to sleep:

There is no virtue in denying your hatred of those that would kill you and yours. Cowardly shirking mincing mewling faggot shitlibs think your high-mindedness and your determination, or stupidity, to “not cast a distrustful eye to your fellow [Muslim] citizens” is the stuff of true heroism.

But it’s not. Hate is the yang to love’s yin. Your refusal to allow a healthy hate to course through you, and enliven your spirit to action, is surrender. It is retreat from a vital emotion that, when welcomed as circumstances require, will motivate a man to protect his family, his friends, his countrymen.

Maybe that’s the cause of your descent into hollow calls for impassive stoicism in the face of grave threat from outsiders.

There are no White countrymen with a sense of shared heritage worth preserving in the West anymore. Diversity™ saw to that. And there are no White families anymore. Diversity™ is seeing to that, as well, as native birth rates plummet in reaction to the loss of public space. We have our friends, but they disappear behind blue screens and shut-in lives enabled by internet delivery services. So what is there to protect, besides one’s moral posturing? If all you have is desolate ego validation from faceless, deracinated defeatists on social media, then it follows naturally to throw the memory of your pretty wife under the bus for the reward of the one thing that matters anymore in your shattering world… your grandiloquent moral rectitude.

Necessity is the mother of rationalization.

Refusing to hate murderous aliens in your midst who laugh at your haughty self-righteousness as they draw the knife across your throat is not noble

not heroic

not admirable

not morally superior.

It is the payment of meekness for comfort. Of weak-minded shibboleth for solace. Of saccharine platitude for avoidance of conflict.

White European Man, this is, if you’ll pardon the pun, your Darkest Hour. If there is a light at the end of this tunnel, it recedes to a pinpoint, flickering and threatening to extinguish… or to explode suddenly at its densest gravitational collapse, like a supernova, flooding your eyes and your conscience with the true nature of the war being waged against you.
