Republicans Are Never Going To Get A Majority Of The Hispanic Vote

Blacks in America have an average IQ of 85 and American Hispanics have an average IQ of 90. These groups should vote in their self-interest, which means for a big welfare state.

Ann Coulter writes:

Republicans don’t need to treat Hispanics with the contempt that Democrats treat gun-owners. We do not dislike Hispanics. We do not dislike any group.

We just have to protect Americans first—American jobs, American taxes and American social programs being bankrupted by immigrants. Most voters don’t think it’s an outrageous imposition to ask people to obey our laws.

Donald Trump opened his campaign talking about Mexican rapists, pledged to build a wall and deport illegals—and has soared to the top of the polls.

The massive Hispanic blowback consists of this: Trump is getting about the same percentage of the Hispanic vote as Romney did.

I have no doubt that the 73 percent of Hispanics who will be voting against Trump are prepared to be much angrier about it than the 73 percent who voted against Romney. But the result won’t look any different on election night. Voting machines don’t register angry glints in people’s eyes.

On the other hand, by driving up the white vote—to say nothing of the black vote—we will see a difference in the Republicans’ box score on election night.

The Holy Grail year for Republicans is supposed to be 2004, when President Bush won a record-breaking 40 percent of the Hispanic vote. He had to turn his entire White House into a Hispandering operation to do that—and he still lost the Hispanic vote.

It’s crazy to deform our whole platform in pursuit of some group that won’t give us at least 51 percent of its vote, anyway. The Democrats ignore white voters and they were 73.7 percent of the electorate in 2012. Hispanics were only 8.4 percent that year.

I haven’t seen an estimate of the electoral percentage of gun-owners, but with one-third to half of all Americans owning guns, it’s a lot more than 8.4 percent.

Democrats know not to fritter time on constituencies they can’t win, but have buffaloed Republicans into wasting resources on a quixotic bid to win a slightly larger—but still losing—percentage of the 8.4 percent of the electorate that is the Hispanic vote.

You’ve been conned, GOP. You are never going to beat the Democrats at sucking up to foreigners. And your conservative base will flee.

The GOP should expend precisely as much effort fawning over the Hispanic vote as Democrats do over the gun vote, the pro-life vote and the white vote.

Republicans have got to stop believing The New York Times line that the only honorable votes are from minorities. It’s honorable to get votes from taxpayers, too.

Steve Sailer writes in 2006:

In countries like the United States still blessed with a "market-dominant majority", heightened racial heterogeneity means less support for social insurance programs for the least fortunate citizens combined with more race-based handouts for the best-connected.

As Goodhart noted in 2004, pervasive Nordic-style social
insurance schemes have flopped in America because of the
lack of solidarity across ethnic lines.

And also, to be frank, becauseblacks, American Indians, and to a somewhat lesser extent,
Hispanics have shown that they get corrupted faster by the "moral hazard" of social insurance than do whites.

Sweden began its welfare state in 1935, and, amazingly, it hasn`t completely wrecked the Swedish work ethic yet. Although American free marketeers have been gleefully anticipating the imminent demise of the Swedish economy as far back as I can remember in the 1970s, last week`s GDP figures showed that Sweden grew 4.1 percent over the last year.
In contrast, in the mid-1960s when liberal northern states in America imported Swedish ideas about raising welfare for single mothers to generous levels, crime and illegitimacy rates among blacks shot upward almost immediately.

This quickly alienated white voters. The Democratic Presidential candidates` share of the overall vote plummeted from 61 percent in 1964 to 43 percent in 1968.

Here in the U.S., the big increase in diversity from immigration has not yet led to much in the way of increased tax-and-spend redistribution policies on the national level. (Instead, President Bush has pursued an “Après moi le deluge” strategy of cut-tax-and-spend.)

This pattern, though, can be seen in some states. New Mexico, which has always been ethnically diverse, is notorious for its economic fecklessness and dependence on the federal treasury. After six generations as Americans, the Hispanics of New Mexico continue to exhibit traditional Hispanic attitudes toward political economy, suggesting that the miracle cure of “assimilation”, which is supposed to solve all our problems with immigrants Real Soon Now … won`t.

Steve Sailer writes in 2011:

In the summer of 2001, Jorge G. Castañeda Gutman was one of the most important men in the Western Hemisphere. As the foreign minister of Vicente Fox, the newly elected president of democratizing Mexico, Castañeda was a figure of considerable glamour as he negotiated with a yielding Bush Administration a vastly ambitious Mexican plan that merely began with amnesty for illegal aliens.

At the time, I found Castañeda a fascinating figure—in part because he wasn’t a terribly diplomatic diplomat. Instead, he was something rare in Mexico: a controversialist, a public intellectual who had a lot on his mind and didn’t mind explaining it.

Now, having largely given up on trying to foist Mexico’s problems onto the U.S., an older and possibly wiser Castañeda is back with a consistently interesting new book: Mañana Forever? Mexico and the Mexicans, about how Mexico should and (perhaps) can solve its own problems.

When George W. Bush entered the White House in 2001, his chief foreign policy goal was an immigration deal with Fox. Castañeda recounts the Mexican leadership’s visit to Washington in early September 2001:

“Fox was further informed by Bush, Secretary of State Colin Powell, and National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice that, despite the known reluctance of Congress, the administration would attempt to deliver on its promise of some sort of immigration deal by the end of 2001. The specifics were not entirely clear, but private conversations by senior officials in both governments suggested that a compromise could include a legalization process for Mexicans in the United States without papers, as well as a temporary worker program for new migrants at a level well above the existing legal flow, though below the total illegal sum.”

Here at VDARE.com, we followed these high-level conversations with concern. Fortunately, by 9/5/01—i.e. before Arab terrorists forced immigration enthusiasts to “lie low” temporarily, in the unguarded words of Cato’s Steve Moore  —we had concluded that Congress was unlikely to ratify quite that blatant a betrayal of Americans. Similarly, Bush subsequently failed to push his immigration plans through Congress in 2004, 2006, and 2007.

In retrospect, what Castañeda calls a “new place for Mexico under the American sun” was fatally eclipsed by 9/11 less than a week later.

Several things happened at once:

First: the Bush Administration’s attention, and that of the American public, was turned toward the Muslim world. This torpedoed Bush’s hope for amnesty and a massive guest worker program—although it also allowed Bush to follow a policy of malign neglect of border security that proved nearly as disastrous.

Second: The recession aggravated by 9/11 stymied the wider part of the Fox-Castañeda plan. This went far beyond immigration to something approaching the European Union. Their goal was for America to give vast sums to Mexico for its economic development, just as Germany had subsidized Greece to bring the Greeks up to Europe Union standards (at least in theory).

As Castañeda told the Los Angeles Times:

“That`s what Fox essentially wants, the type of resource transfers that occurred in Spain and, before Spain, in Ireland, and, after Spain, in Portugal and Greece. The Germans were willing to build highways in Spain. Somebody else has to build our highways. We don`t have the money.”

[Jorge Castaneda: Mexico`s Man Abroad, by Sergio Munoz,, August 12, 2001]

Even then, at the tail end of the Internet Bubble, it was impolitic for Castañeda to point out in English the ultimate logic of the Bush-Fox honeymoon. In 2011, of course, with Greece’s corruption undermining the European Union, this plan of turning Mexico into a giant Greece at American expense seems like another bullet dodged.

It’s important to note, however, that these fond hopes continue to be nurtured in shadowy meetings among the elites. In a footnote, Castañeda praises the planning for a “North American Economic Union, or Common Market” still being done by “the North American Forum, chaired by George Schultz, Pedro Aspe, and Peter Lougheed…”

Third: in the aftermath of 9/11, the Mexican public just did not endear itself to the stricken American public. As Castañeda explains in his current book:

“Quite simply, there was no outpouring of broad Mexican sympathy, support, and solidarity for the tragedy befallen its neighbor. Fox’s supposedly slow response would be forgotten; Mexican society’s coolness would not.”

Fourth: Castañeda did not endear himself to the Mexican public.

Castañeda had dazzled the American press before 9/11 swept away Mexico’s Moment, but his cosmopolitanism always made him an awkward political figure at home. Known as El Guero for his reddish-blond hair, he is the son of a 1970s Mexican foreign minister and a Soviet Jewish translator who met at the UN during Stalin’s time. (Castañeda’s chief advisor in the immigration negotiations was his elder half-brother Andrés Rozental.) He spent the first twelve years of his life in New York, Geneva, and Cairo. He then studied at the French Lycée in Mexico City, Princeton, and earned a doctorate in economic history at the University of Paris.

Thus when Castañeda became foreign minister in 2000, he often botched the countless patriotic rituals that public schools instill (if nothing else) in the average Mexican. He writes:

“I found it difficult to know … when to sing the national anthem, salute the flag, or look circumspect, wistful, or happy … Worse still, I was even less adept at respecting age-old customs of indirect communication, euphemisms, rhetorical flourishes, and elliptical expression.”

This Mexican mode of obfuscatory discourse was parodied by the great film comedian Cantinflas, the most famous of Mexican movie stars (he was born 100 years ago last Friday). A representative Cantinflear: “There’s the rub, that it’s not one thing or the other, but rather quite the contrary”.

Still, while Castañeda didn’t make a terribly suave Mexican diplomat (he left office in 2003 and now divides his time between Mexico City and New York University), he makes an above-average New York public intellectual.

And that’s a valuable thing, since practically nobody else in the Boston – New York – Washington corridor knows much of anything about Mexicans. When discussing the impact of immigration policy, Northeastern public intellectuals often assume that Mexican immigrants in the U.S. will turn out like Italians or Jews or blacks or whatever group they happen to have experience with. Or, they simply assume that Mexicans must be the opposite of those evil rednecks in the Southwest that they hate.

In contrast, while Castañeda has had to learn a huge amount about his fellow countrymen. And his Mañana Forever? is an admirably impatient attempt to diagnose and reform the Mexican national character.

Like most intellectuals, Castañeda’s suggestions for his fellow citizens tend to boil down to: “Be like me” — more well-read, logical, educated, argumentative, and Americanized. But it’s important for American intellectuals to hear from one of their own kind that, overwhelmingly, Mexicans aren’t like him.

His book is also full of interest to Americans who might be wondering what we are getting ourselves into by letting tens of millions of Mexicans immigrate.

Castañeda isn’t an outstanding prose stylist in English, and he sometimes struggles with the quantitative parts of his analysis. Still, he’s a fine observer. For example, he notes that the impoverished Indian south of Mexico “continues to provide much of Mexico’s personality”. In contrast, the wealthier “north is industrious, modernizing, violent, lighter-skinned, and devoid of charm …” In short, the north sounds a lot like Los Angeles.

And Castañeda’s recommendations for reform in Mexico do make some sense.

In 2001, Castañeda made a valiant effort to foist Mexico’s problems off on America—hey, you can’t blame him for trying.

More ‘global’ individuals contribute less

From the University of Haifa:

The greater individuals’ level of globalization, the less they will contribute to public goods. This finding emerges from the doctorate thesis of Dr. Eitan Adres from the School of Political Sciences at the University of Haifa. The thesis won the outstanding study award from the Israel Political Science Association. Dr. Adres explains: “In today’s global world, in which state sovereignty has been weakened, the map of citizens’ rights and obligations is becoming increasing unclear.”

A key dilemma in political science concerns the question of “free riders.” A rational person can be expected to prefer behavior that allows them to evade their obligations and rely on the contributions of others — ranging from tax evasion to refraining from donating to charities and on to draft dodging. Nevertheless, most people choose not to act in accordance with this rational model. According to Dr. Adres, the level of acquiescence to governmental demands depends in part on citizens’ level of trust in the government. Globalization has clouded concepts such as identity, culture, and borders and raises numerous challenges in terms of this bond between state and citizen.

In Dr. Adres’ thesis, which was supervised by Dr. Dana Vashdi and Dr. Yair Zalmanovitch, he sought to examine the connection between globalization and participation in contribution to public goods. To this end, the study presents an innovative and unique index determining the individual’s globalization level, whose impact is not dependent on the level of globalization of the state.

Four countries were chosen to examine this relationship: Germany and Australia, which both have a high level of globalization; Columbia, which has a low level of globalization; and in the middle Israel, which has an intermediate level of globalization. Approximately one thousand participants in the four countries participated in three economic decision games testing their willingness to contribute to a public good.

The findings showed that the more people consider themselves to adhere to the values of globalization, consumerism, and individualism, and the more they regard themselves as “citizens of the world” exposed to globalization, the less likely they are to contribute to public goods and the more likely they are to seek to be “free riders” on the contributions of others.

The Alt-Right Is Building

Comments to Steve Sailer:

* The ‘alt-right’ is building… I read iStevie ideas/themes being thrown around in all sorts of comment sections.

It’s only slightly below the surface now. Those who are relatively informed and interested in staying on top of things know what’s up already.

Eventually, even the most average of average Janes will be forced confront this stuff.

It’s a strange phenomenon…there is just a wall of denial that needs to collapse.

Some powerful person or people will air it out publicly and it will all start to crumble… Like Trump with the immigration issue.

The only thing keeping the status quo afloat is the Jewish monopoly on the National conversation.

* We’ve hit peak alt-right.
It’s too exclusionary of way too many different kinds of people to get any bigger than it is now. It would have to compromise and accept some of its enemies as allies/coalition members. It’s going to have to either drop its obsession with immigration, its obsession with black crime, its obsession with HBD, maybe some combination of those things. The minute it does that it’s no longer alt-right, but something else.
But it’s definitely reached the limits of its target market.

* My recently-evolved suggestion for those unfortunate souls who will live in a future without privacy is to follow my Glass House Strategy for Living in the Post-Privacy World: Do and say as much as you can out in the open, and assume that everything can be seen anyway.

Post-Privacy reality should therefore mean more acceptance instead of more repression. It will have to be that way, or humanity will implode from its own hypocrisy.

Pre-disaster yourself so there are no surprises. Speak your mind, and accept what others say — it’s their right too.

Everyone does and says things they fear are not acceptable to the public. The obvious truth of this is that everyone therefore tries to hide parts of themselves from each other. Might as well just admit that we all have stuff others might not approve of.

Nobody is politically correct, so let’s stop pretending.

“Let he who has not sinned cast the first stone.”

Victim-blamer Brother Dean makes Slutwalk participants cry

From the Chateau: One of the YouGroove commenters summed it up thusly and verily:

Observations from the first few minutes I’ve seen this video.

Dean:
– Alpha Body Language.
– Doesn’t Care if he sounds offensive.
– Based Hat + Sunglasses.
– Nice name, also.
– Defender of truth.

Random White-Knight:
– Manlet
– Body Paint
– Girl doesn’t allow him to slur Dean

Girl:
– Cries because she is having a psychological battle between her feminist ideology and her biological desire to fuck Dean, the alpha Christian.

TheDissident comments: “Somewhere around 9 minutes she described the details of her “rape” and it becomes so utterly obvious that she wholly invented a sexual assault as a means of convincing herself and her omega that she didn’t actually cheat on him.”

That oft-repeated “1 in 5 college women are raped” lie should be rephrased as “1 in 5 college women whore it up and don’t want their beta boyfriends to find out so they concoct false sexual assault stories for sympathy from gullible white knights, feminists, and university administrators.”

Bryan Caplan: They (Goyim) Scare Me

Jewish economist Bryan Caplan writes out the reasons many perhaps most Jews instinctively revolt against living in a dominant Christian culture (does Caplan want Israel to cease being a Jewish state?):

What would happen if Mormons were a solid majority of the U.S. population? Maybe they’d be as wonderful as ever, but I readily picture a sinister metamorphosis. Given enough power, even Mormons might embrace a brutal fundamentalism. Despite my lovely experiences with Mormons, they scare me.

To be fair, they’re hardly alone. You know who else scares me? Muslims, Christians, Jews, Hindus, and atheists. Sunnis, Shiites, Catholics, and Protestants. Whites, blacks, Asians, Hispanics, and American Indians. Democrats, Republicans, liberals, conservatives, Marxists, and reactionaries. Even libertarians scare me a bit. Why? Because given enough power, there’s a serious chance they’ll do terrible things. Different terrible things, no doubt. But terrible nonetheless.

If you’re afraid of every group, though, shouldn’t you support whatever group has the minimum chance of doing terrible things once it’s firmly in charge? Not at all. There’s another path: Try to prevent any group from being firmly in charge. In the long-run, the best way to do this is to make every group a small minority – to split society into such small pieces that everyone abandons hope of running society and refocuses their energy on building beautiful Bubbles.

Comments posted to his blog:

* A multitude of different ethnicities and clans could just as easily lead to a never-ending war of all against all as in Syria. In fact, the system that has historically provided the best standard of living for the greatest number has been the homogenous nation-state derived of people from Europe or East Asia. Places with the greatest linguistic and ethnic diversity: sub-Saharan Africa, the New World before Columbus, South Asia, have been terrible places to live.

I see little in history to suggest that diversity leads people to “refocus their energy on building beautiful Bubbles.”

* I can’t fathom how this could be axiomatically true. Britain was and continues to be a highly homogeneous place compared to say, the Balkans. Yet Britons have suffered far less brutal, less violent, less arbitrary governments almost without exception.

This piece seems to assume that the groups are happy to acquiesce to the liberal order or to the domination of one party. This is not often the case.

Some of the most diverse places on earth are the most violent and unfree. Few of the most homogeneous places are. Certainly there are divided countries in the top freedom rankings–Switzerland, Canada, etc. But homogeneity is well represented as well. It seems a stretch to infer such a broad connection between diversity and good government.

* The post perfectly illustrates the point that libertarianism is about making people strangers to each other.

The political nature of man whereby mankind is organized into particular, self-ruling, morally authoritative units that we may call nations is repugnant to the libertarian. He prefers that nations do not exist.

The political nature of man divides mankind into neighbors and strangers. The neighbors share sufficiently an idea of the Good–Americans share in the American Way, the English in the English Way and so on.

Strangers are those that do not share your idea of the Good. The libertarian seeks to make all persons strangers to everybody else. There has to be an equality of stranger-ness.

* Trouble is every society requires a general consensus of an idea of Good to operate.

Protection of private property, even the definition of private property itself is a consensus that has evolved in rich, stable countries. There is no guarantee that a “society” that has no dominant group and thus, by definition, no consensus of the idea of Good, would manage to secure private property, or even secure life and limb of people.

* This analysis suggests that in 1914 Russia, Austria-Hungary, and the Ottoman Empire should have been the freest, stablest, and most peaceful countries in Europe.

* India is such a place where everyone is a minority and the typical problems are that any actions that require coordination don’t usually get done. Trash collection, sewage, roads, public health, primary education – you name it, it’s a problem. Beware of what you wish for. At the least, see places that have characteristics that you wish to implement. You may end up regretting this post on the day when the roads need to be repaired.

* I wonder how your analysis would change if you didn’t view yourself as such an outsider.

* Your thesis only holds when all the groups are committed to democracy and are willing to compromise; where each group respects “rule by the majority,” while the majority respects the rights of the minority. On the other hand, when the culture has a “winner take all” mentality and neither small groups respect the will of the majority (e.g., the Republican Party) nor does the majority respect the rights of minorities (e.g., the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt), then it’s a recipe for disaster.

* I think this is one of your weakest posts, and I don’t think this assertion holds in general. There are far too many examples of violent heterogeneous societies. Perhaps I’m wrong, but they seem far more common than violent homogeneous ones.

More generally, I think expectations of power is what leads groups to do horrible things. If a group does not expect it can gain power it has no reason to e.g. start a civil war, and will never be able to use power to do terrible things.

* As pointed out by others, the human ecosystem doesn’t lend itself to diversity; it doesn’t last. One group gains the upper hand and extinguishes the others.

The Bryan Caplan Cult of Radical Diversity scares me plenty.

* Mr Caplan’s diagnostic of majority behavior is not correct and never has been. The European immigrants in North America went from a tiny minority to an overwhelming majority without ever changing their behavior to the preceding native peoples.

Does Mr Caplan recommends this policy to the State of Israel?

* I think before betting all of Western Civilization on this “open borders” policy we should test it out somewhere first for say 10 years and see the result. Let’s take a small First World country close to third world countries and have them open their borders up completely.

Let’s see… looking at a map of the world, Israel seems like a good testing ground. Let’s force them via BDS to open their borders up completely; let all the Africans and arabs that want to move there move there to “diversify” and “enrich” them.

If it turns the land into a paradise, great! If however chaos, collapsing social trust, economic disarray, terrorism and civil war (and massacres) ensue, maybe we’ll hold off on that with our own countries, if only until we get the bugs sorted out.

Surely Mr. Caplan, as a very empirical thinker, would support such a test no?

FROM CHATEAU HEARTISTE:

Bryan Caplan’s Id made a guest appearance on his anti-Gentilism hateblog, confessing in starkly monochromatic detail exactly how much Bryan Caplan’s Ego HATES HATES HATES the idea of living in a nation with a majority White Gentile population.

There are a lot of open borders nutjobs currently in circulation, but Bryan Caplan’s Id is the most deranged of them all. The Sperg Total is so far removed from reality I wonder if his bubble is slowly asphyxiating him and destroying brain cells.

His pro-nation-destruction “””argument”””, if in a fit of magnanimity one could call it that, rests on the (false) (utterly inane) premise that when one group gets too numerically large and powerful, they will necessarily do scary things, the thought of which overloads Caplan’s RAM, and the way to prevent this is to make sure everyone is a minority in their own country, so that power is divided commensurately among the disparate tribes and the risk of its misuse thereby reduced. This will, according to Caplan’s readout, produce a utopia on earth where hundreds of tribes competing for status and power are replaced by one glorious tribe (his own, natch) calling the shots and an indentured commune of powerless peons content with a political and social arrangement that negates their tradition and culture and cuts them off from having any decision over the constitution of the nation they will bequeath their posterity.

Essentially, Bryan Caplan is claiming — against all the real world evidence and the historical record — that Diversity + Proximity = Peace. He is arguing for a state of nature that doesn’t exist, and never has existed. When disparate tribes accumulate in sufficient number under one governing authority, the eventual result is a dysfunctional government and, over time, the gradual (re)separation of those tribes into self-governing entities. That’s the best-case scenario. Worst case: rivers of blood.

Anyone who’s lived a day in his life outside a 1%er bubble knows this is true. But for the (ironically) Endogamously Benighted Bubbleborg the only data their algorithms can compute must be peer-reviewed and published in esteemed ¡SCIENCE! journals, so for spergitarians like Caplan, CH presents a partial list of studies finding that:

Diversity

plus

Proximity

equals

War

and

Misery.

But, really, what is the point anymore trying to reason with the Caplan ilk as if they were anything but malevolent traitors with no intention of meeting their fellow citizens in good faith? The Open Borders Sperg Horde, like the Feminist Cunts, the Race Creationists, and the Pathological Altruists, have clearly shown themselves impervious to facts on the ground and to the expressed desires of the majority of Americans.

They’re immune to logic.
To reason.
To truth.
To beauty.
To facts.
To common sense.
To human decency.
To anything that vibrates the valence of their elemental spergomized purity.

They are human defectives with a sadist’s acumen for self-justification.

What appeals will reach the sadodefectives who are in positions of influence to spread their disease to the society that swaddles them? Mutter Merkel might be able to offer a suggestion.

Bryan Caplan is SMRT. So SMRT that he can’t perceive how ridiculously transparent his cheerleading for open borders and White majority submersion by tsunamis of third world refuse is a manifestation of his psychological projection. His own, numerically outnumbered but disproportionately powerful and influential, tribe puts the lie to his White Submersion Theory of Eternal Peace. He psychologically projects the rise of a Mormon tyranny should their numbers grow, when right now his tiny tribe has a near-tyrannical lock on controlling the levers of the media, entertainment, academic, political (have you seen the top ten political donor list?) and financial institutions.

As SMRT as he is, Bubbleboy Caplan apparently lacks the requisite IQ horsepower to extrapolate that a Babel of Bubbles under one dusty proposition parchment rapidly congealing into irrelevance through the mechanism of race-based antipathy will, in due time, mitotically divide into the border-bounded, separate nations he so irrationally loathes.

A thousand Bubbles will become a thousand Nations, Caplan, and then you’ll just have to start your Borderless Tikkun Olam Crusade all over again. You see, when you force a self-identifying people into powerlessness in their own homeland by flooding their commons with genetically antagonistic foreigners, they tend not to take it so well.

***

Bryan “Spergatron” Caplan wants to turn America into the Island of Misfit Goys, an icy wasteland for broken, demoralized outcasts with no home to call their own.

Comments to Heartiste:

* Borders are Nature’s way of minimising bloodshed between peoples – and they are natural, contrary to what Caplan and his type pretend. They’ve been there since the dawn of human existence, in some form. As soon as a family, tribe or nation has something worth handing on to future generations, they create a boundary to ensure it’s not grabbed by outsiders who have contributed nothing. But our prehistoric ancestors didn’t have convoluted immigration laws and deportation procedures. If a man trespassed on your territory, you hacked him to death with clubs, and probably celebrated by drinking fermented berry juice out of his skull.

* Natives in Alaska had a way of marking borders. When a man from a different tribe came a little too far into someone else’s hunting grounds, his entrails and other organs were cut out and hung on a tree to serve as a “no trespassing sign.” Such methods can still work.

* Reading her [Ivanka Trump] social media and blog posts, she demonstrates that she’s as brilliant a marketer as her father is. Her posts are exceptionally well dialed. They showcase wealth that a Kardashian would envy, yet possess the grace and class of a beloved queen. Her blog is very relevant to urban women, like a woman’s magazine, yet doesn’t relish in any Sluttery that modern woman’s magazines possess.

She very much strikes me as the TrumpenFem. She seems to have received the Trump gift of requiring the best and being able to get anything she wants. She’s smart enough to realize that being as feminine as possible 98% of the time will get her what she wants. What you notice about her is that despite being brilliant, beautiful and successful, she shows none of the outward striving aggression, arrogance, resentment and other masculine attributes that most women of her status possess (contrast Sheryl Sandberg or Marissa Mayer). I can imagine that even if your crossed her, she would send another to do her dirty work. She hasn’t had to develop masculine attributes because she’s always had her father the Alpha doing that for her.

She’s as Alpha Female as The Donald is Alpha male.
She could very well be America’s next Jackie O in terms of feminine behavioral influence, which they desperately need.

* The greater individuals’ level of globalization, the less they will contribute to public goods.

* Oddly enough, in his excellent book, Selfish Reasons to Have More Kids, Caplan acknowledges that genes are responsible for nearly all adult outcomes. He goes into great detail on the results and interpretation of twin studies, etc. How does he square that circle??

[CH: his hatred and bigotry mean that he doesn’t have to square the circle. the frozen feels are self-justifying.]

* How does he square it?

His tribe is adapted to live as aliens among a borderline hostile host population. By making it so that everyone lives as an alien in a sea of hostile ethnicities he disadvantages ever other tribe and makes conditions like those that his tribe is adapted to.

Very in line with what you’d expect someone maximizing the fitness of himself, his children and his cousins.

* A lot of Christian sites like Dalrocks are starting to remind me of people rearranging the deck chairs of the Titanic. Even having their own daughters raped and killed seems not to disturb the meme that all cultures and races are equal. The Christian church is any real men pushed out by feminist poison and the men that stay are wet noodles unable to defend anything. Its not just Europe that’s getting flooded with Muslim scum and rapist Africans plenty of Paki’s and Somalis are moving to the USA and very few sites are even talking about the damage that is starting to happen.

bryancaplan

* Must keep hammering them with the White Genocide meme. It’s filtering into mainstream awareness.

On Tinder, Off Sex

Processed with VSCOcam with c2 preset

Processed with VSCOcam with c2 preset

Ali Rachel Pearl writes for the New York Times:

My friends don’t seem to understand my secondary abstinence. They ask if I’ve had sex yet.

“How can you go so long?” they ask. “I can’t imagine.”

They say: “You have to lower your standards.” “Go to the bar more.” “Join a dating website.” “Make really good eye contact.” “Get rid of your hang-ups.” “Be more open.” “Stop being afraid.”

“It’s just sex,” they say. “You have to stop refusing to sleep with people just because you don’t immediately want to marry them.”

My secondary abstinence is the wallflower type: sitting quietly on the couch at the party making everyone else feel a bit more awkward for having a good time.

Every night that I go to a concert or a party, every day that I walk around the neighborhood, I find my secondary abstinence trailing me like a sad ghost or an unwanted dog.

It’s not as if I haven’t tried to move on from this phase of my life. I joined Tinder. I sat in my friend’s apartment, punctuating our conversation with questions like, “Who is supposed to write to whom on this thing?” and “Why do so many guys have photos with tigers? Do you have a photo with a tiger?”

I asked my friend how to tactfully respond to my most recent Tinder message from a man named Dakota who teaches yoga and doesn’t have a tiger in his photo. I found the profile of a man whose name is probably Matt and told him I’m new to this Tinder thing and asked him how it works.

“You match with a bunch of people, no one ever messages each other, and no one ever has sex,” he responded.

That seemed unlikely to me, but he was all the way down in Long Beach, Calif., anyway, which is too far to drive for sex, so I cut my losses and we unmatched each other.

When a friend recently asked me, “Why do you think you never have sex?” I fell back on all the clichés. I told her: “I just want to focus on myself for a while.” “I’m afraid of getting hurt.” “Strangers are gross.” “I want to be in love first.” “I don’t have time to meet people.” “Los Angeles is impossible.”

But I’m not sure I believe any of these reasons apply to me. I’ve focused on myself my whole life. I’m worried about getting hurt, but no more than most. Some strangers are smoking hot. What is love anyway? I have plenty of time. Los Angeles is full of men and women of all shapes, sizes and backgrounds, and those men and women populate every restaurant and yoga class and dog park in my life.

Comments at the NYTimes.com:

* What a silly article from somebody who, in her own words, has focused on herself her whole life. I can see why this was published in “Fashion & Style”.

* It’s good to be an English PhD candidate who can publish a nice essay about…well, not all that much. But, any NYT article with “sex” in the title is more interesting than a comparable Cosmo article. The author sounds like a nice person, though first person narratives like this make neuroses seem cuter than they probably are in reality.

I hope you find a suitable successor to the guy who cheated on you (maybe you could write another essay about that, if you haven’t already?). But there’s no rush, really. Sex will be there when you get back to it.

* Sad tale and literally pathetic, i.e. inviting pathos.

She’s clearly a neurotic on the issue (can’t have sober sex with a new partner?) but, in true LA fashion, because she talks about it, she thinks she’s dealing with the problem.

Try talking with a therapist, and learn something about your unconscious — the part of you that, for reasons good or bad, is keeping you from the most honest and fulfilling connection with others.

* She’s sober now. Hasn’t ever had sober first sex. It would be a completely new and foreign path to falling into bed with someone – with more thinking and awkward emotions – both of which would be inhibitors. Much harder to do – so she hasn’t.

Sort of struck me like the newly clean rock star who questions their ability to perform sober. Just have to try it to prove you can.

* This false self reflective twenty something ennui is nothing to go on cheering about.
Sex is supposed to mean something (Romping in an animal barn, for example, with idle chit chat afterwards… ) What’s more interesting than hearing a twenty something slowly discover through her gender confusion and act of selfish, recreational, demeaning, immoral sex without a committed relationship is in fact, the comments that try to salvage her disclosure as an act of bravery. (shakes the head and walks away – emoticon) As some have mentioned already, sex is supposed to be the accompaniment of love–the type of love that commits for a lifetime. #millennial self absorption / hookup culture / selfie

* See, I think if she really wanted it that badly, Long Beach wouldn’t be too far to drive. So she is secondary abstaining, for the reason of “just not that interested in sex outside my own imagination.”

Worse Than Rape

David Goldman writes: The body of a 20-year-old Syrian woman, “Rokstan M.,” was unearthed from a shallow grave in the small Saxon town of Dessau last week. Her father and brothers stabbed her to death on her mother’s orders, after she was gang-raped by three men. The rape left her “unclean” and the mother allegedly demanded the killing to restore the family’s honor. German police are seeking the father and brothers. That by itself is not newsworthy; what is newsworthy is the news itself, which appeared in not one of Germany’s major daily newspapers or websites. The tabloid Bild-Zeitung ran the story, along with the regional press, while the arbiters of enlightened opinion buried it. Der Spiegel, the country’s biggest news site, and the Frankfurter Algemeine Zeitung, the newspaper of record, made no mention.

The case of Rokstan M. is heart-rending. She had found work in Germany as a translator for the government, but she knew her family would track her down and kill her. “I am awaiting death. But I am too young to die,” she had written on a social media profile. Her story deserves a line or two in the quality press. But it’s one of many that German leaders want to ignore.

Political leaders in Germany—which may absorb 1.5 million migrants this year—are struggling to respond to reports of a sex crime epidemic among newly-arrived Muslims. Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere urged Germans not to believe rumors of widespread rape at refugee centers, while Germany’s police union chief Rainer Wendt warned, “There is a lot of glossing over going on. But this doesn’t represent reality.” Wendt added, “It is understandable that there is the desire to calm things down politically.”

Germany’s elite knows perfectly well that the migrants bring social pathologies, because they have already seen the world’s worst sex crime epidemic unfold in Scandinavia. Sweden now has the highest incidence of reported rape outside of a few African countries, and nearly ten times the rate of its European peers—and all this has happened in the past ten years. Sweden ranks near the top of the World Economic Forum’s Gender Gap Index, yet it has become the most dangerous country for women outside of Africa, with an incidence of rape ten times that of its European peers. Sweden’s political leaders not only refuse to take action, but have made it a criminal offense to talk about it.

Even in liberated, feminist, gender-neutral Sweden, there is something more horrible than rape, something horrible enough to persuade the political elite to sacrifice the physical and mental health of tens of thousands of Swedish women. That is the horror of social disintegration in the Muslim world. Sweden opened its borders to refugees twenty years before the migrant flood arrived on Germany’s doorstep, and the foreign born rose from 9% of the population in 1990 to 15.4% in 2012. Foreigners have a higher birth rate, so the percentage is higher including second-generation immigrants.

There have been protests, to be sure, and nationalist parties like the Sweden Democrats have gained support on an anti-immigration platform, but Sweden will remain supine as its social fabric unravels. So, I expect, will Germany. Europe is transfixed by the horror unfolding from Libya to Afghanistan, as one of the world’s major civilizations unravels in real time. In its moment of agony, the Muslim world’s most potent weapon is its own weakness. The human cost of the collapse of Libya, Yemen, Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria is horrendous, but it is small thus far compared to the horrors that would attend instability in Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Bangladesh. The West can’t bear to look at it.

Are The Goyim Going Off The Reservation?

I thought we controlled this thing of ours. I thought Trump was just a summer phenomenon. Why isn’t everyone lining behind someone Sheldon Adelson can control?

Chaim Amalek: “Also, this paradox: the more diverse the country gets, the greater the number of people here who simply do not give a **** about what our gedolim want them to think and who never will, no matter how much of our TV they watch.”

Steven Ben-Off Abrams: “You will never be a made man in this thing of ours. You have to have family in the old country for that.”

LA’s Most Interesting Rabbi

From the Kavvanah blog: How does one combine the works of Deepak Chopra and Tony Robbins with the teachings of Rav Hershel Schachter? How does Dr. Phil and Marianne Williamson become part of the right wing of Modern Orthodoxy? In his just published book, Judaism Alive: Using the Torah to Unlock Your Life’s Potential, Rabbi Shlomo Einhorn incorporates thoughts from popular culture by citing the likes of the rock group Queen, Muhammad Ali, and among countless others seeking to combine what he thinks is the best of modernity to guide readers to a better life.

Rabbi Shlomo Einhorn, the author of Judaism Alive, has his rabbinical ordination and master’s in education from Yeshiva University, During his seven-year tenure as head rabbi of the West Side Institutional Synagogue in Manhattan, Rabbi Einhorn helped his synagogue achieve 70 percent growth. His out-of-the-box work was so successful that in 2010 the Orthodox Union gave him his own think tank to craft programming for other synagogues across America. In 2012, Einhorn moved back to his hometown of Los Angeles to serve as dean and rabbi of Yavneh Hebrew Academy. Rabbi Steven Weil called Einhorn “the top young Orthodox rabbi in all of North America.”

Einhorn finds himself right of center and considers Rav Hershel Schachter as his Rebbe and wears a black hat. Nevertheless, he states that “I do believe in learning from a wide array of teachers to the left and to the right.” Einhorn learned seven blatt every day, rather than the more Lithuanian Yeshiva approach of analytic study, thereby has completed learning the Talmud Bavli nine times. Einhorn also released a music album called Judaism Alive: A Musical Odyssey that went to #3 on the Itunes World Music Chart.

This interview was so open and direct that I do not have to pull out his relationship to popular culture since he is direct in his use and acknowledgement of pop psych, new-age spirituality, Christian, Hindu and Buddhist teachers, rock stars, and talk show celebrities. They are all a form of Torah for Rabbi Einhorn.

I had a long post on Rabbi Einhorn three years ago; it serves as a good compliment to this interview. He was also discussed in my Orthodox Forum article on Centrism and Popular Culture on the huge roll popular culture is playing in Centrist Orthodoxy. In that context I had discussed rabbis who are turning Orthodoxy into cruise ships of entertainment. If the left is turning toward social concerns, the right is turning to motivational speakers and a new form of Neo-Hasidism with their implicit social vision. This version is highly anthropocentric, neo-liberal in its concern for value, and peak this-worldly experiences.

Early Hasidim used kabbalah from 200 years prior because it was the language and spiritual resource that they knew. Yet, they were using it to express new ideas and start a new vision. Spiritual positions such as Rabbi Einhorn’s Judaism Alive use Hasidism and Neo-Hassidism from two hundred and fifty, or even hundred years ago, but here too it seems that it is because it is the spiritual language and tool at hand in which to create new ideas way beyond the Hasidic sources.

Man’s Supreme Inheritance

So I was demonstrating tonight before some senior citizens the effortless freedom of the Alexander Technique, swanning in and out of the couch, lengthening and widening up and down in my flawless use of the self, I was a true picture of grace and human potential and constructive conscious control, flashing my man’s supreme inheritance for the world to see, when after 30 seconds, I got winded and smartly switched to silently demonstrating — while catching my breath — the effortless freedom of non-doing.
