My Bad Boy Days

Temp responds to this video: "How did girls react to being aggressively approached by you? Can you give some examples?"

Oy ve!

I went on Nardil in late 1993 and it helped me make a partial recovery from my Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. One downside of the medication is that it reduce inhibition (which I don’t have a lot of anyway).

I stayed on Nardil until 1999.

In my first couple of years in Los Angeles (1994-1995), I used to aggressively hit on women. You can see it in my videos "What Women Want" from the summer of 1995 when I was interviewing all these women about what they wanted in a man.

I feel embarrassed when I watch these videos. I was just so damn horny!

How did women react to Bad Boy Luke?

Some reacted very badly. I believe I made one or two cry. They felt cornered when they ran into me in social situations and I wasn’t reading their signals and I was aggressively on the make. Sometimes I’d try to hug them or put my arm around them and they were completely creeped out.

I shudder when I think about it.

Other women got a kick out of me. They found me amusing. They weren’t bothered. Even if they were not romantically interested in me, they enjoyed me.

Other women seized the opportunity to get close to me.

Most attractive women disdained me. I was too needy.

A couple of the girls who I apparently made cry went to Rabbi Steven Weil circa 2000 and told him I was a creep to them circa 1994. That was the reason he gave over the years when people approached him to let me into Beth Jacob.
