When Rabbi Matt Rosenberg went to a speech presented by one of the country’s leading white nationalists, he hoped to make a statement about the power of Judaism. During a question-and-answer session after the talk, Rosenberg, who heads Hillel at Texas A&M, asked Richard Spencer, the self-styled ambassador of the “alt-right,” whether the two could sit down and study together.
“My tradition teaches a message of radical inclusion and love,” Rosenberg said. “Will you sit town and learn Torah with me, and learn love?”
“Do you really want radical inclusion into the State of Israel?” Spencer asked, a smile spreading across his face. “And by that I mean radical inclusion. Maybe all of the Middle East could go move into Tel Aviv or Jerusalem. Would you really want that?”
Rosenberg fell silent. Spencer did not. He went on, saying the Jewish people have prevailed because they resist assimilation — and he respected that.
“Jews exist precisely because you did not assimilate,” he said. “I respect that about you. I want my people to have that same sense of themselves.” The two men were speaking about different Jewish paradigms: Jews as nation versus Jews as citizens of the world. One of them Spencer praised; the other he sneered at.
This is an excellent opening that cuts to the nub of things — while different groups often have conflicting interests, all groups have an interest in developing their own destiny, unity, strength and cohesion without negative influence by outsiders and this building up always requires the making of barriers against out-groups.
Spencer says his dream of building a “white ethno-state” is “very similar to how Jews conceive of Israel.” He even describes his vision as something like “white Zionism.”
Spencer’s complicated relationship with Jews is illustrative. In the sprawling and divided world of the “alt-right” there are multiple factions. All groups imagine whites as an embattled group, whose white power and control is under threat from non-whites. But they are divided on the next part: Are Jews an enemy to the white nation, a model to emulate, or some combination?
In a glossy promotional video for Spencer’s organization, the National Policy Institute, a pro-Israel march flashes across the screen as Spencer reads aloud, “At a time when every other people is asserting its own [identity]… are we ready to become who we are?”
‘Jesus Christ Was A Jewish Klansman.’
Spencer isn’t the first white separatist to hold seemingly contradictory views on the Jews. Earlier white supremacists like the Ku Klux Klan had a similar love-hate relationship; Spencer and his cohort are building on these foundations.
In a 1926 tract on “religious and patriotic ideals,” one KKK-affiliated minister praised Jews as “a wonderful people,” particularly the way in which they have maintained the “purity of their racial blood, refusing to intermarry with other races.”
Do Jews ever have conflicting feelings about gentiles? The Forward writer acts as though it is shocking that a non-Jewish group has different reactions to Jews depending on time, place and circumstance.
Years ago, before his David Duke affiliations, “Hail Trump” Nazi salutes and rise to fame amid the campaign of Donald Trump, Spencer attended elite private schools in Dallas. Some of his classmates and friends were Jewish.
“The Jews were the kids that told me Santa Claus wasn’t real. They were kind of nerdy and little different,” Spencer said. “I didn’t have any major problems with them.”
Spencer didn’t reflect too much on Jewishness or on race at all.
He was a dedicated student, and in 2005, Spencer entered a doctoral program at Duke University, studying European intellectual history.
But he dropped out, his website reads, “to pursue a life of thought-crime.”
He had flirted with far-right ideology, but in the next years he would make a more dramatic shift. “I knew there was something wrong with the world,” Spencer told the Forward. “I began rethinking everything.”
In 2010 he founded a website called AlternativeRight.com and around the same time took the helm at the NPI think-tank, which is “dedicated to the heritage, identity, and future of people of European descent in the United States.”
Among his influences he cites Jared Taylor, the white nationalist editor of the website American Renaissance, which describes itself as the “premier race-realist site” on the internet. An early mentor of Spencer’s, Paul Gottfried, the inventor of the term “alternative right,” is Jewish and is a graduate of Yeshiva University.
Taylor describes himself as a “white advocate,” but he has made clear that he has no problem working with Jews; one time, he even banned discussion of the so-called “Jewish question” from online forums associated with American Renaissance.
And Spencer has said he respects some Jewish nationalists, including the prime minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu.
“I would say, if I were to have a beer with Netanyahu I bet we would agree on everything. I think we would see eye to eye,” Spencer said. “If I had a beer with Jon Stewart, he would be horrified and I would be annoyed.”
Spencer’s “white ethno state” is his long-term goal. It’s just a dream, he says, and he’s not sure how to get there. But he evokes the success of the Zionist project. His white “homeland,” he said, would be “very similar to how Jews conceive of Israel.”
That’s a fair summary.
Israel’s founding document, its Declaration of Independence, while declaring the country a Jewish state, also made a “striking embrace of all peoples and religions,” said Jonathan Sarna, professor of American Jewish history at Brandeis University.
“It would be difficult to square that with the notion of a white nation,” Sarna said. “That is the very opposite of what the white nationalists want.”
For “alt-right” members who see Zionism in a positive light of sorts, it may have little to do with the country of Israel itself.
“For a lot of people, Israel is a Rorschach test test,” Sarna said. “What they see in Israel tells us more about them than it does about Israel.”
Spencer compares himself to pre-state Zionist thinkers, seeing his role as a dreamer — not necessarily as someone who would build his whites-only nation, but one who would lay conceptual groundwork for a state.
“A similar thing could be said of Jews. Jews were imagining Zionism there is a Jewish state in the Middle East,” Spencer said in a radio interview with the website Reveal. “You have to dream it before you build it.” he said, trying his hand at a very Herzlian-sounding mantra.
There “is often talk about ‘Zionism’ as being a horrible evil that intends to take over the world,” author Brett Stevens wrote in August on the website Alternative-right.blogpost.com, “forgetting that Zionism is an assertion of Nationalism — the idea that Jews need their own state, and all Jews belong there, where they can control their destiny and live according to their ways.”
Torah makes no room for non-Jewish citizenship in the Jewish state. Meir Kahane’s proposed legislation to criminalize sex between Jews and non-Jews is basic Torah. Every accomplished group has beliefs about separating from out-groups. Israel’s “striking embrace of all peoples and religions” is a bit of a delusion. Israel is a Jewish state run in the interests of Jews. Most Israelis wish that the Palestinians would disappear. “Death to the Arabs” is a popular chant in Israel.
Is the Jewish state stronger for providing citizenship to two million Arabs who hate it? That doesn’t make sense. What percentage of Israelis would prefer to have no Arabs in Israel? A majority, I would think.
Still, Spencer’s admiration for Jews is mixed with repulsion — particularly the belief that Jews have played a negative and outsize role in the decline of white civilization. And this attitude can be found across the contemporary white nationalist camp, which is beset with internecine disputes.
He calls the so-called “Jewish question” (or “JQ,” in contemporary “alt-right” lingo) among the most “complicated and difficult” topics for white nationalists. The term “Jewish question” of course has its roots in Nazi Germany, whose leaders gathered on the shores of Lake Wannsee outside Berlin to plan the “Final Solution to the Jewish Question in Europe.”
The Jewish Question had its roots in Europe more than a hundred years before the Nazis came to power.
He sees some liberal Jews, like the Texan rabbi, as “duplicitous,” presenting their case in “gooey, universalistic” terms. “I think it is easy to understand black crime, illegal immigrants, that’s in your face,” Spencer said. “But the Jewish question is extremely complicated.”
Indeed, the question of just how the “alt-right” should relate to Jews is a frequent fault line among Spencer’s followers and fellow travelers.
In December, the divergent views of the “alt-right” on Jews came to a head after online personality Tim Treadstone (better known as “Baked Alaska”) was booted from an upcoming “alt-right” inauguration event called the Deploraball after a series of tweets he wrote about the media being “run in majority by Jewish people.”
“Alt-right” personality Mike Cernovich, the event’s organizer, was worried that Treadstone’s anti-Semitism would undermine the growing political influence of the “alt-right” after Trump’s win. “No Nazi salutes, no JQ bullshit,” Cernovich wrote privately to Treadstone, scolding him and removing him from the event bill shortly thereafter. Paul Joseph Watson, an editor of the conspiracist website Infowars, which is also associated with the “alt-right,” described the “two ‘alt-rights.’”
One likes to wear Trump hats, “create memes & have fun,” he wrote in a public Facebook post. “The other faction likes to fester in dark corners of subreddits and obsess about Jews, racial superiority and Adolf Hitler.”
Wow, just wow. Non-Jews have differing reactions to Jews, just as Jews have differing reactions to non-Jews. Who would have thought?

The founder of the popular right-wing blog post The Right Stuff resigned over the revelation that his wife is Jewish.
Mike Enoch, who also co-hosts “The Daily Shoah” weekly podcast, was outed over the weekend as Mike Peinovich, a website developer from New York. On the podcast, which has about 100,000 regular listeners, Peinovich as Enoch talked about killing Jews and spouted neo-Nazi invective.
The release of Peinovich’s personal details came after the identities of the other podcast panelists were made public earlier in the week by a rival website called 8chan. The invented surname reportedly is a reference to Enoch Powell, a far-right British politician and Nazi sympathizer.
Enoch was considered one of the three most influential figures in the “alt-right” movement along with Daily Stormer creator Andrew Anglin and Richard Spencer, president of the National Policy Institute, a white supremacist think tank. Spencer is a co-creator of the alt-right label, which describes a far-right movement whose followers traffic variously in white nationalism, anti-immigration sentiment, anti-Semitism and a disdain for “political correctness.”
Peinovich came clean with readers of The Right Stuff, posting a message in a password-protected forum that was reprinted in part by Salon.
“As I am sure you all know, I was doxxed and an ill advised attempt to fool the media about my identity led me to not talk to you people and to try to simply ride it out by being silent,” he said. “This was irresponsible and a disservice to all of you. Yes my wife is who they say she is, I won’t even bother denying it, I won’t bother making excuses. If this makes you want to leave the movement, or to have nothing to do with TRS, then I understand.
“Don’t lie for me. Don’t try to defend me to those attacking me. Don’t jeopardize your own reputation by defending things that you don’t think you can. I could try to explain my whole life for the last ten years to you but what difference at this point would it make. Life isn’t perfect.”

The Right Stuff is known for promoting white supremacy while popularizing the “echo” method of marking Jewish people online.
Wrote one white nationalist aficionado, “It’s pretty bad for your [white nationalist], fourth reich, neo-nazi, facist movement when one of the head guys happens to be married to a Jew.”
In an audio recording posted Tuesday morning along with the statement “Thank you for all your support, apologies to all we have let down,” co-hosts of one of the blog’s podcasts, “The Daily Shoah,” attempted to explain the controversy.
“We’re complicit in it,” admitted one of the blog’s members known as Sven. “I knew that Mike’s wife was ethnically, partially Jewish.”
According to the hosts, Peinovich is now separating from his wife of 10 years. However, the reeling racists didn’t appear to agree on how egregious it was that Peinovich and his wife’s relationship existed.
“Me personally, do I give a s— that his wife is Jewish? No, I don’t, sorry,” said co-host Alex, whose full name is also not listed.
“I don’t give a s— that he married somebody 10 years that was Jewish before he knew,” said Sven. “I certainly don’t recommend that you go out and do that now.”
Regardless of the merits of Neo-Nazis knowingly falling in love with anyone outside their race, the hosts of the “#2 Republican Party podcast” seemed to acknowledge the incident has damaged the Right Stuff.
Said Sven, “It’s a disaster.”

Just as some Jews are paranoid that some Jews are really goyim, so too many goyim are paranoid that some goyim are really Jews. Both sides are equally prone to virtue signalling and purity spiraling. Acclaim in each group usually goes to those leaders who are most hostile to the other group. You can never be too paranoid about the goyim to succeed in Jewish life and you can never be too paranoid about the Jews to succeed in white nationalism.
I met Mike Enoch in December of 2014 at an NRx gathering in Manhattan. I instantly recognized his voice and struck up a conversation. He gave me his normie email address, and later that evening, on the long Metro North ride back to Westchester County, I did a Google search on his name and put together a pretty full picture of his life, including his wife’s Jewish surname. I leaned back on the uncomfortable bench, closed my eyes, and thought, “I wonder how long this star will streak across the firmament before burning out.”
I had just discovered The Daily Shoah and The Right Stuff the month before, on the recommendation of Charles Krafft, but I was already a big fan. I believed that their combination of satire and serious analysis could reach a large audience, and since the Death Panel consisted of ex-Libertarians who were evolving in the direction of racial nationalism — and bringing their audience along with them — I believed the Shoah was performing a valuable educational function.
At the time, the Death Panel did not really identify as White Nationalists, but they were wise to race and the Jewish question, and given their trajectory, I knew it was only a matter of time. In February of 2015, Mike went to the American Renaissance conference and returned calling himself a White Nationalist.
Given Mike’s opsec practices, I knew that the information about his wife would eventually leak out, and I knew it would create problems. In 2015 he tightened his opsec considerably, but by then quite a few people knew.
When we met, Mike’s ideological views were still evolving. I expected, however, that his personal loyalties would prevent him from fully understanding the Jewish problem and concluding that whites and Jews need a racial divorce. But I was wrong about that. His personal attachments did not cloud his objectivity, but I wondered how he squared it with his marriage. I decided, however, not to ask. I would see if he would bring it up on his own.
We saw each other a number of times in 2015, and during a long train trip back from a pool party at Seventh Son’s, he brought the topic up. It was really his first opportunity to do so. It turns out that Mike told his trusted real world associates about his wife whenever he found an appropriate time and place. He did not hide the truth from his friends or deceive us in any way. I told him that his confidence was safe with me, and I kept it.
Did Mike owe this information to the rest of the world? No, he did not. He told everyone he trusted, and he kept it from those he didn’t know or didn’t trust. That’s as much openness as anyone can reasonably expect. I know some of his fans feel betrayed, but you don’t own a piece of him. Beyond that, chances are, you use pen names and keep your private life private. After all, this is a dissident movement. Our ideas make us targets. Thus we have the right to determine our own level of explicitness and involvement. And everyone else needs to respect those choices. That goes a hundredfold for people who are actually creating something important.
The truth about Mike’s marriage might not fit with many people’s image of him, but a lot of those images are false. The Daily Shoah is not a neo-Nazi podcast. It does not support a paranoid and conspiratorial view of the Jewish question. It mocks lies and sanctimony about the Holocaust, but it does not advocate genocide.
As an aside, given the large number of people who knew the truth about Mike’s marriage — including people people from his libertarian days, some of whom had bitter fallings-out with him — I am not surprised that he was eventually doxed. The only surprise is that it took so long. I am not convinced that the dox comes from insiders at all. But if it did, then the fact that it has taken this long proves that, for all their faults, people in our milieu are much better than I suspected.
I am not going to violate the privacy of Mike and his wife. But, by way of correcting some false statements floating around, I will confirm four things. First, she is half-Jewish through her father. Second, she does not have a strong sense of Jewish identity and ethnocentrism. Third, she was aware of Mike’s work and supportive of it. Fourth, she works as a freelance photographer — not for B’nai Brith or the National Security Agency or a corporate diversity office or any of the other rumors, which are simply created by malevolent people out of whole cloth.
One more false statement floating around is that Mike is a Jew. I have no reason to believe that. I have seen no evidence for that claim, and I think that if he were, he would have leveled with me about that as well…

The following is an interview I recently conducted with ‘Reactionary Jew’ and ‘The Rebbe,’ two Twitter figures from a small grouping known as the Jewish ‘Alt-Right,’ or ‘Jewish Alternative.’ As someone who has studied Jewish dynamics in White societies for more than a decade, I was interested by recent media attention in The Forward and elsewhere concerning Josh Seidel, an American Jew who claimed to be part of the Alt-Right. I say interested rather than ‘surprised’ or ‘puzzled’ because history is replete with small numbers of Jews who have pursued, what are from their perspective, ostensibly unusual political and ideological paths. In the most extreme cases, Jews have been pioneers of what has been termed ‘anti-Semitism.’ For example, one of the first great exposures of the anti-Gentile content of the Talmud was carried out in Germany by the 16 th century Jewish apostate Johannes Pfefferkorn. Between 1507 and 1521 Pfefferkorn acted like a kind of early modern Andrew Anglin, printing more pamphlets (in both German and Latin) attacking Jewish behavior than any other author. He demanded that Jews cease their practice of usury, and aggressively upbraided them for what may be loosely described as a range of ‘anti-social’ behaviors.
Despite his great zeal in anti-Jewish activity, because of his origins Pfefferkorn was the object of much distrust, derision, and suspicion by his contemporaries. The same responses have been evident in relation to the small collective of Jewish nationalists seeking shade under the Alt-Right umbrella. Hostile non-Jewish responses are, given the sobering weight of grim history between our peoples, predictable, justified, and eminently sensible. The threat of infiltration, co-option, and misdirection is very real. I have composed essays explicitly dealing with this subject from a historical perspective, and I have advocated for the exclusion of Jews from the life of our movement for the sake of its ideological and material integrity. Possessing an eye for historical context, I didn’t like Seidel’s use of the term ‘Alt-Right’ to describe what he is, or what he claims to be. Seidel may well be a reactionary of sorts, and he may well be opposed to much of the agenda of the mainstream Jewish community. However, that does not make him a part of the Alt-Right, a movement which is, in the main, an outgrowth of European ethno-nationalism. He can no more be part of the Alt-Right than I can be a part of the Chabad-Lubavitch sect. The Alt-Right is not a social club. It is the organic expression of national will – the will of the best elements of the European peoples.
One doesn’t need to feel that the proverbial “all Jews” are dedicated to fighting against us in order to see that a blanket exclusion would be useful. Any suggestion of co-operation should be considered moot. A blunt ‘anti-Semitism’ that paints in broad strokes isn’t necessarily intellectually sophisticated, but it is a useful ‘shorthand’ for confronting some of our most pressing social, political, and economic issues. One might consider the analogy that our opposing forces act as a giant knife, cutting into the heart of the nation. The coterie of Leftists, anarchists, degenerates, homosexuals, self-interested elites, and others of our race make up the bulk of the blade. But with what preponderance are Jews found at the razors edge! It is almost always Jewish radicals that are found with the most cutting, most offensive, and most devastating theories and activism; theories and activism that appear designed only to divide, to separate, to tear apart. It is because of what occurs at the ‘razor’s edge’ that ‘anti-Semitism’ finds both its cold logic and shattering power.
That being said, one should be wary of being sucked into a lowly resentment of one’s opponents. One should be aware of socio-political realities without being consumed by them. Nietzsche once astutely observed that the aristocratic mind is capable of shrugging off opposition, and of always finding the means to a respect for one’s opponents. The lower mind, more fearful and shadowy, will recoil from a full confrontation with reality, preferring instead to view his enemy as monolithic, as ‘evil.’ His enemy stalks him everywhere. Like Nietzsche, I reject the concepts of good and evil, as they are popularly understood, and with that I reject the notion that all Jews are ‘evil,’ or even that there is something ‘evil’ about Jews. We have opposing interests and differing approaches and strategies to life. And I believe that these differences also have metaphysical expressions. However, I do not believe that Jews are all-powerful, and I do not believe that, in and of itself, communication with Jews is liable to leave one vulnerable to ideological deviation. Communication and co-operation are entirely different spheres.
Having laid this groundwork, I ask of readers only that the treat the following interview with the aristocratic mind-set I expect them to have. For my part, I have dispensed with soft approaches and have posed questions in a respectful attempt to get to the heart of what these individuals are in relation to us. They are clearly not members of the Alt-Right, but as strongly identified Jews what do they have to say about issues that the Alt-Right is concerned with? About identity? About the Jewish assault on Europeans? About future prospects for both peoples? One might enquire why such answers would matter. Purely on a personal level I would reply by pointing to curiosity; curiosity about truth, but also the truth that can be found even in deception, self-deception, or the sense of self that prevails in an opposing tribe. For the same reasons, I would interview the leadership of both the ADL and the SPLC if they’d dare to let me. I am sure that the answers provided in such interviews would provide food for both thought and discussion. Such interviews would sharpen our indignation, our ideological understanding, and our political senses. This one, I believe, is no different.
AJ: In the last 12 months there have been spasmodic debates surrounding the definition of ‘Alt-Right.’ How do you define it?
RJ: I perceive it as a broad-tent coalition bound together by one thing: explicitly fighting for white European interests, manifested via nationalism, either in one’s own country, or around the world. Within this label, there are many disagreements about peripheral issues (socialism vs. more libertarian economic systems, ethnic nationalism vs. racial nationalism, etc.). Some Alt-Right issues are considered important by the majority of the movement and seem almost inseparable from that core of white interests, such as the Jewish Question, traditionalist revival, etc., but are valued specifically because of how they are tied to white group interests and identity within the context of the movement. While I do think the Jewish question is (very) important, and I do believe in traditional sexual morality, I also consider those who disagree with me on both of those fronts to still be considered Alt-Right if they are fighting for explicitly white European interests. I should note that I do not consider Breitbart/Milo/PJW/etc. to be Alt-Right, since they refuse to talk in explicitly racial terms and will “condemn racism” when it comes down to it.
TR: The traditional “National Review” center-right confronted communism on a global scale and delayed creeping socialism. These two threats were stalking horses for the real enemy of the West: what you call “Cultural Marxism” (Jews would describe as “Frankism”). This Jewish Satanic heresy is the dominant paradigm of the Jewish intelligentsia and the Reformed/Re-constructivist denominations. The Alt-Right is a late-hour counter-reaction to this threat. While much of the Alt-Right doesn’t even fully comprehend this inchoate “POZ,” it has nevertheless mounted a successful intellectual assault and helped bring about the greatest political upset since Truman.
I have some thoughts.
It seems silly to me for any group, including white nationalists, to antagonize potential friends and allies. I’m not saying every group would be wise to immediately confide in everyone who claims to be a friend, but why blow off potential supporters? When there is no way to police who claims to be a member of your group, such as the Alt Right, why proclaim bans against Jews or any group? That’s just virtue signaling and purity spiraling.
Jews on or near the Alt Right will at times have clashing interests with other members of the Alt Right. This is normal and healthy. Any Jew who is not concerned with the welfare of Jews in general is a fringe Jew. You can care about the welfare of groups other than you own, it is just unhealthy to care more about the health of outsiders than your own kind.
Andrew Joyce writes: “…the small collective of Jewish nationalists seeking shade under the Alt-Right umbrella.”
What does Alt-Right mean? If it simply means its denotative meaning, an Alternative Right, then Jews along with anyone can join. If Alt Right means a gateway to a white nationalism that is inherently racist, xenophobic and anti-Semitic, then Jews have a less comfortable fit.
However you define it, I don’t know any Jews who are “seeking shade under the Alt Right umbrella.” Jews, as far as I can see, aren’t seeking any material benefit or social benefit from joining the Alt Right. Jews, like non-Jews, who identify with or sympathize with the Alt Right, are usually following their conscience. They are seeking truth. Sometimes truth is painful and is not a comfortable fit with one’s primary identity. All groups have good points and bad points and in different places and in different times, different fits are differently appropriate. There are no permanent allies or enemies in the universe, no objective good guys and bad guys, unless you seeing things through the eyes of faith, which is subjective.
Andrew writes: “Hostile non-Jewish responses are, given the sobering weight of grim history between our peoples, predictable, justified, and eminently sensible.”
The history between Jews and Europeans is complicated. It has its times of comity and of enmity. Even if its history was entirely the grim affair pictured by Andrew Joyce, hostility to all Jews in all circumstances in the current year is probably not rational and helpful to the cause of the Alt Right and nationalism and sanity and the pursuit of truth. I know Kevin MacDonald has said many times that he welcomes Jewish support for white identity and white interests.
Also, a considerable number of Jews are primarily European in their genetics (and not just converts such as myself whose gentics is 15/16th European and 1/16th Chinese). If blood is destiny, then many Jews have more in common with the European gene pool than any other.
Andrew: “The threat of infiltration, co-option, and misdirection is very real.” Jews are highly selective about who gets to join the Tribe, so it would make sense for other groups to be equally selective.
Andrew: “I have advocated for the exclusion of Jews from the life of our movement for the sake of its ideological and material integrity.”
Many groups with spirit and ambition are highly selective about who they allow to join. This makes sense. On the other hand, Jews are in whites’ heads whether whites want that or not. Jews are often in whites’ bodies and vice versa. Jews are part and parcel of European history and of the European gene pool. Our histories and our DNA are often mixed. There’s been much interpenetration. There are certainly times and places where it is in Jews interests to radically exclude non-Jews just as it is sometimes in the non-Jews’ interest to exclude Jews. Friends and enemies are a matter of circumstances that change over time and place.
Andrew: “Possessing an eye for historical context, I didn’t like Seidel’s use of the term ‘Alt-Right’ to describe what he is, or what he claims to be.”
Yeah, it may be your keen eye for historical context, or it may just be your emotions or your purity spiral or your virtue signaling. There is no historical context for the “Alt Right” beyond a decade so what exactly is your “eye for historical context” showing you? The term “Alt Right” has only gained common parlance in the past year.
In every consequential movement, there is considerable internal pressure to appear more pure than your peers to gain greater glory. Sometimes this is for the good of the movement and sometimes it is for individual ego and is highly destructive to the movement.
The Mike Enoch fiasco shows how ridiculous it is for white nationalists to try to simultaneously hide their identity and to try to lead a movement and simultaneously berate others for being insufficiently fierce on The Jewish Question. Those who won’t stand behind their words can not lead and it is ridiculous when they make proclamations such as Andrew does above about how he stands for this and that and that you should too.
In this essay, Andrew Joyce reminds me of haredi rabbis in that they have both allowed themselves to be captives of their audience. If a haredi rabbi, for instance, or perhaps an Andrew Joyce, came out in favor of Zionism, they would immediately lose their position because their community would denounce them. To be a haredi gadol or a white nationalist gadol, you have to toe a certain line about Jews and a host of other subjects, and usually the purists will get the acclaim and those more dedicated to truth will have to labor in discomfort and obscurity.
Andrew: “He can no more be part of the Alt-Right than I can be a part of the Chabad-Lubavitch sect.”
Many non-Jews (such as Jon Voight and the other goyim on Chabad telethons) are close with Chabad and are embraced by Chabad and are considered friends of the Chabad movement. I’m not sure why Alt Right Jews can’t have a similar relationship with the Alt Right and white nationalism.
Andrew: “The Alt-Right is not a social club. It is the organic expression of national will – the will of the best elements of the European peoples.”
That’s just propaganda. If it makes the writer feel good, bully for him, but it is hardly logical reasoning. The Alt Right is a term no more than a decade old. There are many and diverse organic expressions of national will going back over millenia. As for what constitutes the best element of any people is subjective. There is no objective standard in the universe outside the realm of faith. THat said, I think ethno-nationalism is the most organic and natural form of political organization and the most conducive to successful adapation to evolutionary pressures.
Andrew: “Any suggestion of co-operation should be considered moot.”
Where does Andrew get this notion he’s the leader of the Alt Right, that he’s the Pope of the Alt Right, and that he can dictate policy and procedure. That’s ludicrous. The guy, I think, writes under a pseudonym. He won’t stand publicly behind his words. That may well be a self-interested position that enables Andrew to have a more comfortable life, but it is hardly the stuff of leadership. When he writes as a fuhrer, he’s LARPing. It’s ridiculous.
Andrew’s essay is frequently silly and pompous.
Andrew writes:
The coterie of Leftists, anarchists, degenerates, homosexuals, self-interested elites, and others of our race make up the bulk of the blade. But with what preponderance are Jews found at the razors edge! It is almost always Jewish radicals that are found with the most cutting, most offensive, and most devastating theories and activism; theories and activism that appear designed only to divide, to separate, to tear apart. It is because of what occurs at the ‘razor’s edge’ that ‘anti-Semitism’ finds both its cold logic and shattering power.
When you adjust for verbal IQ, education and social position, are Jews that disproportionate? They’re just acting on their self-interest like everyone else, directing the Coalition of the Fringe. You think low IQ types would naturally rise to leadership?
Andrew: “Having laid this groundwork, I ask of readers only that the treat the following interview with the aristocratic mind-set I expect them to have.”
In one sentence, Andrew combines the arrogance of youth with the pomposity of old age.
Nevertheless, I want to provide my own answers to Andrew’s questions.
AJ: In the last 12 months there have been spasmodic debates surrounding the definition of ‘Alt-Right.’ How do you define it?
Luke: “Answered above.”
AJ: I regard the work of Kevin MacDonald as one of the primary ideological foundations for the Alt-Right. Have you read MacDonald, and do you view the critical analysis of Jewish behavior as a necessary and appropriate facet of Alt-Right activity?
Luke: “I have read Kevin MacDonald. He deserves a serious scholarly response, and we haven’t seen that yet. Critical analysis of all things is appropriate for the Alt Right, including the actions of Jews as well as those of Muslims, Chinese, the various religions, etc.”
AJ: To what extent, if any, do you see yourself as White, or a part of Western culture?
Luke: “I identify as male, white, American, Australian, California, Jewish and many other things. I consider myself part of Western culture. My genetic heritage is primarily European.”
AJ: The Alt-Right is undoubtedly driven by the desire of Europeans to assert their own story and fulfil their destiny as a people. In such a context, do you think that Europeans need Jewish assistance in this effort, and what practical assistance do you believe Jews can offer Europeans?
Luke: “I’ll side with Kevin MacDonald on this one. He says that he would welcome Jewish support. I think Jews have much to contribute to Western civilization. We’re a smart energetic people. A smart white man will learn from Jews, the Chinese, the Japanese and other proud high-achievers.”
AJ: European history is replete with instances of Jews using and abusing their host populations, facilitated primarily through alliances with native corrupt elites. In response, many European populations have abused their Jewish communities when opportunities to do so have arisen. Given this long, sordid, and extremely vicious history, would you agree that a total separation of our peoples is the best path to avoiding future bloodshed?
Luke: “Human history is replete with instances of all peoples using and abusing others, including their hosts. Jews are not unique in this regard. European history is also replete with Jews getting along well with their host population and contributing to society and been valued by their gentile host nation. I don’t think a total separation of our peoples is the best path to avoiding future bloodshed. This extreme thinking seems like a purity spiral by a young man eager to impress his movement. In some times and places, it would be best for Jews to have no non-Jews present and in some times and places, it would be best for non-Jews to have no Jews present. Time and place determines these things.”
AJ: To what extent would you agree that most Jews who look to the Right are motivated mainly by an aversion to Leftist positions on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict?
Luke: “Political opinions are largely determined by one’s genes in combination with environment. This applies equally to Jews and non-Jews.”
AJ: Many in the Alt-Right perceive highly ethnocentric Jews, in positions of influence, to be their most concerning opponent. Who is yours?
Luke: “That part of organized Jewry pushing a destructive left-wing agenda (not all left-wing agendas are destructive).”
AJ: As a step toward European self-assertion, I would love to see the dismantling of organizations like the Anti-Defamation League and an overall decline in Jewish influence in our societies. How would you feel about the decline of Jewish power in the West?
Luke: “If that Jewish power is doing good, I would regret that reduction in power. If that Jewish power is doing bad, I am glad to see that reduced. I feel the same about any group power. I want Jews and all peoples to feel safe. I would like to see the ADL stop pushing a left-wing agenda. The dismantling of Jewish organizations won’t create European self-assertion. Europeans will have to do that on their own.”
The Rebbe comments: “My mother converted from Anglicanism. I am bar-mitzvah’d Jew. My grandfather was an Irgun supporter and has a garden dedicated to him in Israel. Unlike virtually all American Jews, my family has been in the Anglosphere for hundreds of years. Very few Jews I’d consider as Western. I’m one of them. I’ve studied Christianity for years.”

Forward: News broke over the weekend that a prominent neo-Nazi troll going by the name Mike Enoch was not a disgruntled grassroots white supremacist coming out of a part of the country with few Jews and a vivid imagination about what The Jew might be like, but rather a dude living in the Upper East Side (!) with his Jewish wife (!!!) Big if true as the saying goes.
On the one hand, this is upsetting to think about from the perspective of… well, of the Jewish woman somewhere uptown, married to a man whose secret computer activities are up there among the worst of what one could imagine. On the other, it’s not exactly surprising that an anti-Semite might either make an exception for one Jewish woman or (as in Pierre Drieu la Rochelle’s 1939 novel Gilles) not even. Which, again, shouldn’t really surprise us. After all, it’s never assumed that a man with a wife or girlfriend couldn’t possibly be sexist. Nor, for that matter, should it be assumed that in every man lurks a violent misogynist, so I wouldn’t make the leap that some 19th century French Jewish newspaper writers did (in what was in some ways but oh, not all, a very different context) and warn that when intermarriages get rocky (which, in these warning stories, it was assumed they would), out will pour the non-Jewish spouse’s latent anti-Semitism. Given the sheer weirdness of the online “alt-right”, it’s always possible that a man who on the surface would appear to be a good Jewish husband (or wife!) is behind some of those memes as well.
As for the Upper East Side part… What this suggests is that someone can be a raging anti-Semite (or perform raging anti-Semitism, as if there’s a difference) despite having had day-to-day exposure with Jewish people. Once again, this is upsetting for anyone who felt safe, as a Jew in an area with many Jews, knowing at least that they were unlikely to be anyone’s First Jew, to whom it’s now occurring that the alt-right menace could be in front of you on line at Citarella. But it’s not surprising. Goodness knows there’s anti-black racism in parts of the US where black people live. Hate is everywhere. Exposure to the fact that members of all identity groups are human beings ought to be enough, but sadly, all too often, it’s not.

Several members of the white nationalist movement are despondent after learning that one of their leaders is actually married to a Jewish woman.
As Salon reports, neo-Nazi icon Mike Enoch — the pseudonym used by the man who created the pro-white nationalist website The Right Stuff — has resigned from his role at the website after being outed by rivals as a New York website developer named Mike Peinovich.
The real shocker, however, wasn’t the identity of Peinovich, but the identity of his wife, who happens to be a Jewish woman. This is particularly surprising because Peinovich often makes “jokes” about the Holocaust on his podcast, where he also regularly talks about killing Jewish people.
In a post on The Right Stuff’s password-protected forums, Peinovich admitted that he’s married to a Jewish woman and said he didn’t want to see anyone making excuses for his longtime deception of his fellow white nationalists.
“Yes my wife is who they say she is, I won’t even bother denying it, I won’t bother making excuses,” he wrote. “If this makes you want to leave the movement, or to have nothing to do with TRS, then I understand. Don’t lie for me. Don’t try to defend me to those attacking me. Don’t jeopardize your own reputation by defending things that you don’t think you can.”
While Peinovich’s downfall has drawn many cheers from his rivals in the white nationalist movement, many longtime fans were depressed by this revelation.
“Enoch’s rants were both enlightening and triggering, but now I cannot listen to them the same way again,” wrote one. “It just feels like they’re just more actors in the same play being orchestrated by the Jews.”
“I’m going to bed but I want everyone involved with this doxxing to think about contributing something to replace TRS rather than pissing on its grave and saying that they did the right thing,” wrote another. “So far you have f*cked up royally.”

The leader and founder of prominent Neo-Nazi blog The Right Stuff and the podcast “The Daily Shoah” (yes, really) was recently doxxed and reportedly revealed to have a Jewish wife.
Online he has always gone by the name “Mike Enoch,” a reference to far right British politician and Nazi sympathizer Enoch Powell. But after fellow alt-righter Mike Cernovich (who was feuding with Enoch and others) posted a YouTube video claiming that “The Same Person Calling Me [Jewish Slur] is Married to a Jew,” Internet sleuths now claim that his real name was Mike Peinovich, and that he lives on the Upper East Side with a Jewish wife.
In an email to Salon, Peinovich denied being Enoch, but admitted the he authored some of the posts on the site. “If you give any fucks at all then you could print that this is all bullshit. We are now being harassed not only by communists but by actual neo nazis,” he told them.
But “Enoch” appears to have confirmed that some of the rumors were accurate in a statement to his fans in a password-protected part of the site. “Yes my wife is who they say she is. I won’t even bother denying it. I won’t bother making excuses. If this makes you want to leave the movement, or to have nothing to do with TRS, then I understand,” he said.
