MetroWeekly: Last fall, Rabbi Gil Steinlauf of Adas Israel Synagogue sent an email to his congregation. He told them he was gay. (And it was good.)

MetroWeekly: “I’m not going to go on record as saying Moses was gay.”

Rabbi Gil Steinlauf says this with a laugh — he laughs often and warmly, it turns out — but he’s also quite serious in response to a reporter’s offhand remark that Moses could be viewed as history’s first gay activist.

“But the story of Moses is a kind of coming out story,” Steinlauf says. “He grew up as a Prince of Egypt in the house of Pharaoh, completely in the center of power. Yet, he was nursed by his Israelite mother, so he knew that he had this secret identity. He lived in inner-conflict over those two worlds, those two identities of himself, until he finally came to a head when he killed an Egyptian who was oppressing an Israelite, and ran away. He tried to hide until God called him back. And then he spoke on behalf of his people.

“So I always make the argument that Moses has a kind of queer coming-out parallel in his life story, and that’s a fundamental motivational factor for his ability to recognize the suffering of his people and to stand up to Pharaoh, because of his ability to overcome his own limitations and insecurities and his shame of who he was.”

The same could be said for Rabbi Steinlauf who, in an act of courage last October, sent an email to his congregation of more than 1,500 families at Adas Israel, the storied Conservative synagogue that presides over the Cleveland Park neighborhood of Washington, D.C., and includes Supreme Court Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Elana Kagan among its worshipers. In the email, Steinlauf informed his congregation that he, in fact, was gay and that he and his wife of 20 years, Batya, with whom he has three teenage children, would be divorcing.

Brazilian Ethics

This type of behavior is why Brazil is such a basketcase.

New York Times:

Winning ugly is different from winning illegally. The first you can get away with, while the second should not be allowed at all.

England’s Football Association did the logical thing to Chelsea’s Diego Costa after his sneaky aggression against Arsenal over the weekend: It charged him with violent conduct. Costa, a Brazilian-born center forward, could face a three-game suspension if he is found guilty, and it would not be the first, or probably last, punishment of a player who revels in his from-the-streets background and whose game reflects a win-at-all-costs attitude.

…“Everyone knows Diego,” Zouma said on beIN Sports TV. “And this guy likes to cheat a lot and put the opponents out of his game, and that happened in the game. He’s a real nice guy in the life, and we are very proud to have him.”

…Apparently unseen by the referee Mike Dean, Costa first went after Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny, pushing hands into the nose and mouth of the French defender. Then Costa, with his back to Koscielny, raked his left hand across the Arsenal player’s forehead.

In close-ups, the aggression looks even worse, with Costa appearing to gouge Koscielny’s face. After the two players squared off and Costa bumped his chest into Koscielny’s, Arsenal’s other central defender, Gabriel, became involved.

Australia’s New Prime Minister

Mark Steyn writes:

Tony Abbott is – was – more to my taste ideologically. He’s a monarchist, a social conservative, the man who repealed Australia’s disastrous carbon tax. But he was not an effective executive or parliamentarian or shifter of public opinion – and, partly as a result, he let me down badly on one of my two core issues: freedom of speech.

Malcolm Turnbull is far less to my taste ideologically. He’s a republican, in favor of gay marriage, who’s hot for all the climate-change hooey and supported that ghastly carbon tax. He’s also a little thin-skinned – to the point where he walked out of one of my speeches. Not over anything I said, alas. He never got that far. He took umbrage at something Nick Minchin, Australian Senate leader and Finance Minister, said during his introduction of me: Nick and Malcolm were on opposite sides during the monarchy referendum, and so Turnbull flounced out in what, for a republican, was a very queeny huff.

That said, I find him one of the most serious and thoughtful politicians on the other of my core issues: demography. We sat next to each other at a conference a few years back. It was alphabetical – so S for Steyn, T for Turnbull; on my other side, I had R for Kevin Rudd, the previously ousted Prime Minister. We had little plates of snacky-type stuff and, every time I turned to talk to Turnbull, Rudd’s hand crept over and snaffled my nibbles. Anyway, Turnbull, like me, is a serious demographic junkie, and he spent much of the afternoon passing me various napkin doodles of inverted pyramids showing projected population declines for different fertility rates. Compared to most politicians around the west, he was almost uniquely well-informed on the subject.

So I wish him well, and I assume he has learned the lesson of his last, failed stint as leader, which led to Tony Abbott deposing him. Now he has deposed Abbott, a decent bloke but one who seemed never quite to grasp that a leader has to lead. In the end, the issue was his competence rather than his conservatism.

How Do We Resist Illegal Immigrants

Comments to Steve Sailer:

* 1. We start by saying that we will never return someone who has fled for their life from their home country to their home country. It would be inhumane.
2. We make an agreement with a country such as North Korea or the Democratic Republic of Congo, or Sudan to take the refugees. They will be paid $1000 for every year that the refugee remains in the country.
3. Every refugee who arrives will have their application automatically accepted and be immediately shipped to the country from step 2.
4. If any refugee has troubles leaving their country of refuge, we will file protests through official channels with the country from step 2 while holding firmly to our no bribery policy.

* What I hear is Australia is becoming Asian very fast via legal immigration. Asians from India, China, Burma, Thailand, Vietnam, every place in Asia but not as many from Muslim nations such as Afghanistan. Most have to pass skills tests? English proficiency? The best thing than can be said is that Australia is allowing in educated Asians while we are the dumping ground for Mexico, Central America and the 3rd world.

I read some Australian propaganda that they must allow in so many Asians to keep ahead technologically. A very high number of Chinese go to university there (similar to the American situation) and how many will return home?

* In Australia there is a large, influential and very noisy leftist minority who are adamantly opposed to the current successful policy that has entirely stopped “irregular maritime arrivals” (to use the official phrase).

The new Prime Minister (Turnbull) tends to share the views of that minority, at least on social issues, notwithstanding he is in (and now leads) a centre-right party (called the Liberal Party, just to confuse our American friends).

Turnbull would most likely restore the status quo ante if he had enough freedom to do so, but he would risk an immediate and violent backlash from his party – and from the majority of the electorate – if he tried it. My money is on his self-interest trumping his heartfelt wish to show all his friends at Eastern Suburbs (of Sydney) dinner parties what a goodwhite he is.

* We have roughly a century of stockpiled firepower, and defense comes down to being willing to use that. A wall or fence is no good if we won’t defend it, the law meaningless if we won’t enforce it. If instead our people are really determined to give their nation away, it really doesn’t matter what the plans are for that. I suppose education about the camp of the saints, and demographics and what they really mean would prove useful, but that is too racist to work.

* The system understands only one language – violence. The rioters of Ferguson were correct and their critics are victims. If you meekly allow yourselves to be robbed, well then you’re going to be robbed. This is the iron way of the world and always has been. Modern justice and democracy are shams that conceal that reality. Any white who doesn’t regard liberals in the same way that inmates in Nazi Germany or Stalinist Russia regarded their camp guards is a cuck.

* There’s nothing “subtle” about Camp of the Saints flash mobs, so the prophylactic against them cannot be subtle, so it must be absolute: Zero Tolerance. What’s needed is a fifty years long total ban on all immigration.

Bear in mind that no disincentive can work until the sacred cow of Multiculturalism-Diversity as the All-Highest Good will have been exposed, slain, butchered, and incinerated to ashes.

* Americans need to stop being so damn welcoming and friendly to migrants. Some few will genuinely appreciate it and respond in kind. Most will regard it as what it is–a kindness that so readily shades off into weakness. Just altering one’s demeanor, smiling less often and less widely, making less effort to understand mangled English, making no effort to understand any other language–these all have a cooling effect on foreigners. Even the illiterate ones have gotten the memo–Americans are suckers. No need to be rude but any glad-handing should be avoided. NAMS are especially thin-skinned. They also tend to be bullies and you can almost always bully a bully. Formal and not friendly tends to cause them to back away, if not down completely. Migrants who don’t feel welcome are far less likely to tell their families back home to “Come on in, the water’s fine!”

I base these suggestions on my years spent interacting daily with foreigners from all over the world while living in a college town.

* 1. Elect Trump. In the meantime, make it clear to the world that you support Trump. He is hard line, everyone knows it, and he can move the Overton Window.

2. As others have suggested, set a concrete limit on the total number of immigrants that will be allowed into the US per year. Make it known that “migrants” and “refugees” will count as part of that number, thus reducing visas and opportunities for everyone else’s favorite race or interest group.

3. Also as others have suggested, establish one finite budget for assistance to both migrants and Americans. Make it clear to everyone that migrants will be taking from this budget, thus reducing benefits for every other moocher here.

I can imagine points 2 and 3 as parts of a Trump position statement on his website.

4. Set up a processing area somewhere like northern Alaska. It’s cold up there, and all these scumbags who want to invade European Man’s living space come from warm latitudes (big surprise). Let the world and social media know that we have this place ready, and that everyone will be stuck there for a long time while we inefficiently clear them.

5. Make sure they know that a lot of them will be permanently located up there somewhere, where we can say they will have the opportunity to work and make their homes — in northern Alaska, or North Dakota, or the most remote areas of Wyoming (cold and windy.)

6. (Most subtle and tricky of all) subversively facilitate a healthy dislike for the migrant group and it’s ethnicities. I somehow believe smarter people than me can find ways of making this happen. Make it agitprop or psyop or something. It is perfectly okay not to like people. Let’s start now. Get your Hollywood friends to make them villians in movies and TV shows. Produce Borat 2 and make him a terrorist.

7. Publicize images of the mass of “migrants” as they truly are: aggressive mobs of men. STOP PUTTING BABY PICTURES ON EVERY STORY.

* You’d have to act through civil disobedience–violent acts can be easily targeted by the FBI (and rightly so, violence is violence), but clerks refusing to endorse in-state tuition for illegals a la Kim Davis, massive protests and boycotts against employers using illegal labor, and any other ideas I am not clever enough to come up with. Even if they don’t want to enforce immigration violations, if you deluge DHS with (true!) reports of illegal activity someone else can ask why they have all these reports of illegal activity they’re ignoring, and run an expose. Don’t talk about what you would do if you had the levers of power you don’t have (PSAs, building walls, etc.–a wall would work but it will never be built). Work with the levers of power you do. It’s what the Tea Party does.

I saw Gamergate make the feminists blink. Many Americans from both parties are on our side. Let’s see what we can do.

Scott Walker’s Wife Is 12 Years Older

Comment: “I learned that Scott Walker is married to an older woman. A MUCH older woman. His wife, “Tonette”, is a certifiable old hag. He married her when he was 26, she was 38. What a pitiable man he is. When you’re 26, you can bang a 38 on a lark and laugh about it with your buddies the next day, but you don’t marry it.

When I saw her picture, any shred of respect I had for the governor immediately evaporated.

He’s a first-rate loser.”

* “I hear your wife is a lovely woman.”
Did anyone else pick up on how subtly Trump called Jeb’s wife a whore? The man is slick…

Girly Boys At National Review Upset With Ann Coulter

David French writes: In condemning pandering, Coulter is using language that appeals to a microscopic slice of the Twitterverse that is obsessed with the notion that the GOP is full of so-called “cuckservatives” (short for “cuckolded conservative”). Who is a cuckservative? Someone like this:

The cuckservative feels very passionate about issues like abortion, which rarely directly affects his own life. In fact, you might often hear a cuckservative talking about how abortion is “racist” since blacks and mestizos overwhelmingly get more abortions that whites.

On the other hand, the cuckservative feels uncomfortable about issues like immigration. If the cuckservative is not an outright open-borders shill, he will only give lip service about “securing the border” or “opposing illegal but favoring legal immigration” but he will never talk about immigration very much. After all, immigration has very serious implications for Western Civilization, so it doesn’t concern the cuckservative.

And:

The cuckservative is often fanatically in favor of transracial adoption. He sees it as some divine calling. In a sense, this is cuckoldry at its essence, since these whites are usually forgoing their own inclusive fitness to adopt someone from another race. As Heartiste notes, they’re race-cucking their own families.

“Race-cucking their own families.” That’s next-level strange. Then there’s this:

The cuckservative, although never Jewish, often seems vicariously to live through Israel. Since the cuckservative feels that he cannot defend his own ethnic interests, he’ll defend Israel’s. The cuckservative cares more about Israel’s borders than his own. Israel adamantly defends its own ethnic interests and perhaps deep down the cuckservative respects this on some unconscious level.

So, what does Coulter tweet all night? Snide comments about GOP obsessions with abortion, insufficient attention to immigration (especially as compared to support for Israel’s border fence — a “cuckservative” world talking point), and obsession with Israel. In short, she’s pandering — pandering to a very small, very angry crowd that’s far more white nationalist than it is recognizably conservative.

How Deep Is The Poz?

From Chateau Heartiste: For new readers: “poz” is shorthand for the propagation of culture degeneracy, filth, freakishness, and antipathy toward normal, psychologically healthy humans. The epithet is retrofitted from its original use in the gayfag “bug chaser” sewer, where poz is a term of endearment for HIV positive gay men.

The poz is everywhere in America, but just how deep does it go? We turn our attention to the top five films hailed as “masterpieces” at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival. Synopses of each movie follow.

The Danish Girl – Set in the 1920s, a M2F tranny freak lops off his penis to become a woman. His wife supports him and takes photos of him in erotic poses.

About Ray – Three generations of single moms, bitchy lesbians, and proud sluts create a huge cunty hug box to help guide a F2M tranny freak teen girl through her testosterone therapy and tit chopping surgery.

Freeheld – Brave lesbian cop, compassionate gay rights activist, homophobic county officials, transformations, and payment transfers.

Truth – Historical revisionism recasting Dan Rather as noble truth-teller instead of as the lying, pathologically partisan shitlib in self-denial that he is and always will be.

Spotlight – Hagiography of Boston Globe shitlib journos who reported on child abuse scandal in the Catholic Church. Not mentioned: over-representation of homosexual deviance in the ranks of the priesthood, Bryan Singer’s Hollywood boylove pool parties.

To answer this post title’s question: The poz goes very, very deep. If your girlfriend asks you to accompany her to one of these fruity, implicitly (and sometimes blatantly) anti-straight white man flics, tell her no way. If she insists, tell her you think less of her for wanting to indulge this garbage.

After Diversity

From Chateau Heartiste: Diversity™ erodes the nation-state through invidious psy op mechanisms. You are soothed into a comfort bubble of warm altruistic feels, and then one day you wake up to find yourself robbed blind and left in the street half-naked, with no home to go to for respite from the storm.

Donald Trump Needs To Move To The Comfort Phase Of His Seduction Of The American Voter

From Chateau Heartiste: Under the classic Game model of picking up girls, Trump has passed through all three stages of the Attraction phase of his seduction of the American voter.

– He has approached the people and opened them.
– He has created attraction and demonstrated his high(er) value to the people through a mix of effective game techniques (anchors, reframes, cocky/funny, body language, AMOGing, push-pull, and storytelling).
– He has forced the other candidates to qualify themselves to him and has refused to comply with the hoops thrown at him by the antagonistic media.

Trump’s Game has been masterful so far. The people are intrigued. Mass Vaginal Tingles (MVT) rocket through the electorate. But this is not enough. It’s one thing to arouse the people to curiosity; it’s quite another to take the people home and bang them silly.

Trump needs to move on now to the Comfort/Trust Phase of his seduction of the American voter. It’s time for him to:

– Build rapport with the people. The Game is played in rapport. This is where Trump must elicit the electorate’s values, mirror those values back to them, and capture and lead their imagination.
– Build an emotional connection with the people. Trump must tap into the deepest fears and hopes and desires of the people and have them believe he is the one who “gets them”.
– Get intimate with the people. At this stage, Trump is speaking past the media gatekeepers directly to the voters, and moving them into position for the final seduction and relinquishment.

The Comfort Phase of Trump’s seduction of the American voter means he has to start spelling out his policy proposals (values) and winning the voters over with promises of something deeper and more intimate than bombastic displays of his alpha sexiness. It shouldn’t be too hard, but it will require some more patience and temperance from him. He’ll have to spend time learning at least cursory details of policies (women) that may otherwise not interest him.

It’s time to “get real” with the people and kiss some babies (women). When he has earned their trust, he will be able to move this glorious love affair to his bedroom for the finishing move — the presidency.

Jezebel Essay: Why I Quit My Dream Newspaper Job After Four Months

I challenge you to try to finish this whine by Devon Maloney. Or you could just look at her picture and get the same idea.

devon maloney

Of course, there were red flags: that nine-month interview process, for one; the fact that one of the oldest, most tumultuous journalistic bureaucracies in the nation hired a twenty-something female editor to manage an all-male, all-older and nearly all-white team should’ve been another.
