Haaretz: Chicago Orthodox Rabbi Found Guilty of Sexually Assaulting 15-year-old Boy
Link:
Aryeh “Larry” Dudovitz was found guilty by a Chicago court after nearly two hours of testimony, for assaulting the boy in his home on the Sukkot festival in 2006.
A Chicago rabbi was found guilty on Monday of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy in 2006.
Rabbi Aryeh “Larry” Dudovitz assaulted the boy when he was supposed to be counseling the teenager for questioning his Orthodox Jewish faith, Cook County Judge Evelyn Clay ruled Monday in the bench trial, the Chicago Tribune reported.
Judge Clay found Dudovitz guilty “after roughly two hours of testimony,” DNAinfo reported, and “ordered electronic monitoring for Dudovitz pending sentencing.” She also said Dudovitz is required to surrender his passport. Post-trial motions, which could include sentencing, are slated for mid-December.
The boy, now 22, had seen Dudovitz as a father figure, he said in 2013. He was initially reluctant to come forward due to, he says, his Orthodox community.
He told that court “I grew up with no sexual education at all — none whatsoever,” he testified of his insular Orthodox community, which did not urge him to come forward with allegations of abuse. “… It wasn’t spoken of and, unfortunately, it still isn’t,” the Chicago Tribune reported.
Dudovitz, 48, the married father of nine, had rejected a plea deal that called for five years in prison, and now faces up to 15 years in prison, according to the newspaper. He was ordered taken into custody until he turned over his passport, after which he would be released to electronic monitoring until sentencing.
The assault occurred at the victim’s home in Chicago’s West Rogers Park in 2006. Criminal charges were brought against Dudovitz in 2013 after the teen sought counseling in the wake of the incident.
Head Cheerleader Banned From Competing After Tweeting an Offensive Comment About Immigrants
Please be respectful:
Dr. Dianne Kelly
Superintendent
781-286-8226
Email: [email protected]
Hannah Orenstein writes for Seventeen magazine:
The head cheerleader at one Massachusetts high school has been banned from cheering for the rest of the season after she tweeted an offensive comment about immigrants.
Caley Godino, a senior at Revere High School in Revere, Massachusetts, was asked to watch the political debates leading up to the 2016 presidential election. Her teacher tweeted a comment about the low voter turnout for November’s mayoral race, which prompted Caley to post a controversial tweet.
“When only 10 percent of Revere votes for mayor cause the other 90 percent isn’t legal,” she reportedly tweeted. (Her profile is private.)
As of 2010, 27 percent of Revere’s population was born outside the United States. Caley says she intended the comment to express her political views, not her views on race, according to MyFoxBoston.com. Her political views were inspired by Donald Trump. But after several students complained, school officials stepped in.
“If you’re going to stand up and say something that other people will find offensive, then you need to be prepare to deal with the ramifications of that,” Superintendent Dianne Kelley told MyFoxBoston.com.
Caley is now banned from cheering for the rest of the season, according to her mother.
The superintendent said that the tweet was not the sole cause for Caley’s punishment, though out of concern for student privacy, could not comment further. Students and teachers at Revere High are now joining together to create a curriculum to address diversity and acceptance.
Three cheers for a more tolerant future.
RamzPaul: Israel rejects ALL refugees. Are Israeli politicians racist Internet trolls? Please do elaborate.
Jesse Berney writes for Rolling Stone:
GOP Politicians Rejecting Refugees Sound Like Racist Internet Trolls
When our elected officials start spouting rhetoric like that found in the ugliest corners of the Internet, watch out.
White supremacists didn’t like my suggestion that we open our borders to Syrian refugees. After that piece ran on RollingStone.com Saturday, I was flooded with messages on Twitter calling me a “retard,” “moron” and “faggot.” When they found out I was Jewish, I was a “lying kike motherfucker.”
Those were the open extremists, of course, the ones who put hashtags like #WhiteGenocide in their Twitter bios; I saw at least one Hitler photo as an avatar. But whether they were open with their Nazi sympathies or more subtle, one thing was clear: The white-rights crowd does not want Syrian refugees – refugees who are fleeing the very kind of terrorism we saw in Paris last week – to be allowed into the United States. They expressed, in no uncertain terms, that they oppose allowing foreign – and brown! – refugees to come to Europe and America, and they’re using the fear of terrorism in the wake of the Paris attacks to spread their racist message.
Nothing they said was surprising. This was the worst the Internet has to offer, after all.
What may be more surprising is how many U.S. politicians are now saying things that sound frighteningly close to that ugly rhetoric.
It is now the mainstream position of the Republican Party that we should immediately stop accepting refugees because of the dangers of terrorism. Former Arkansas governor and B-team presidential candidate Mike Huckabee has even suggested we “close the borders,” as though ISIS is sneaking over the Detroit River from Canada.
Republican governors all over the country are announcing they won’t allow refugees to be resettled in their states – a power they don’t actually have. Gov. Rick Snyder of Michigan, which has the largest Muslim population in the country, said “our first priority is protecting the safety of our residents.” Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley tweeted, “We refuse Syrian refugees” because he “will not stand complicit to a policy that places the citizens of Alabama in harm’s way.” (Because I’m sure ISIS had imminent plans to attack Birmingham.)
What the West is importing isn’t some kind of Saudi Arabia in its midst. It’s importing a permanent underclass plagued by the same kind of social dysfunctions we see among many non-white minorities in the United States.
In Sweden for example, violent crime is “soaring.”
Forty years ago, 421 rapes were reported to the police in Sweden annually. By 2010, according to a BBC report, police recorded the highest number of offences — about 63 per 100,000 inhabitants — of any force in Europe. That was the second highest in the world — surpassed only by Lesotho in southern Africa.
In 2014, according to the Gatestone Institute, a respected American think tank, the number of rapes had risen to 6,620, an increase of 1,472 per cent since 1975.
In August, a double murder in an Ikea store in Vasteras, a small city in central Sweden, sent shockwaves through the nation. The victims were ethnic Swedes, 55-year-old Carola Herlin and her 28-year-old son, Emil. Their attacker was a 36-year-old Eritrean migrant who confessed to the random killings, apparently carried out with knives seized from the store’s kitchenware department.
[Sweden is seen as Europe’s most liberal nation, but violent crime is soaring and the Far Right is on the march, by Sue Reid, Daily Mail, November 13, 2015]
How many of these criminals are Muslims? Probably a majority are nominal Muslims who may even go to the mosque once in a while. But truly devout? There’s no way to be sure, but probably a small number. However, in terms of their catastrophic impact on Swedish society, they are almost as harmful as an ISIS sympathizer who spends his days brooding on the injustices of the Crusader West.
What Europe is importing is a permanent underclass. Islam is a complicating factor because, like in American prisons, it can provide an ideological justification explaining the failure of this underclass as the fault of “discrimination” and “religious oppression.” Occasionally, some degenerate will turn his life around by becoming a more devout Muslim, like Ibrahim Abdeslam did. And as the denizens of this underclass are now sufficiently numerous they cannot be tracked, the minority of terrorists now have the “sea” they can swim in, as Mao famously said of guerrillas.
For the members of this underclass, we have to hope they remain parasites, instead of becoming murderers. But they never actually provide a benefit to Europe. Assume Ibrahim Abdeslam had never become a terrorist. Instead, pretend he stayed at home doing drugs all day and mooching off Europeans like he did before. Would the Republic still have benefited in any way from his presence?
More to the point, why is it so important Europeans import millions more parasites just like him?

Justice Department sues local attorney, CPA for tax fraud
SAN DIEGO — The federal government has filed suit in San Diego against a former attorney and certified public accountant to bar him from promoting and implementing tax fraud schemes and preparing tax returns for others, the U.S. Department of Justice announced Monday.
The lawsuit alleges that Lawrence Preston Siegel — also known as Larry Lave, Yehuda Lave and Larry Easy — falsely represented himself as a licensed attorney and CPA in order to solicit business for his tax practice.
According to the civil injunction, Siegel pleaded guilty in 1994 to one count of tax evasion and two counts of subscribing false tax returns. He resigned from the California bar that year, lost his CPA license in 1997 and never regained either accreditation.
The complaint alleges that following his release from federal prison in 2001 for additional convictions, Siegel established a tax practice and stated online that he was a “combination of a tax lawyer and CPA who is also a rabbi trained in spirituality.”
Siegel, the complaint alleges, told people his “goal as a spiritual rabbi, tax attorney and CPA is to save people money without going to jail,” claiming he could do so “legally and morally under the Torah.”
Siegel allegedly advised his customers falsely that they could establish companies in Nevada and treat their California homes as out-of-state corporate offices.
Siegel also falsely claimed that doing so would transform a vast array of non-deductible personal expenses into tax-deductible business expenses and boasted about this tax fraud scheme in emails, including one in which he falsely claimed that his customers were entitled to free housing as tax-free compensation from their out-of-state companies, according to the suit.
Additionally, Siegel falsely advised his customers to enter into sham license agreements to purportedly lease their professional skills and expertise to the out-of-state companies Siegel established for them, the government alleges.
Under these license agreements, the companies paid royalties to the customers in exchange for use of the customers’ professional skills and expertise, according to the complaint. Siegel allegedly promoted and implemented this scheme to mischaracterize income customers received from their out-of-state companies, which is subject to employment taxes, as royalty payments, which Siegel falsely claimed as exempt from employment taxes.
The complaint alleges that, in conjunction with his tax-fraud schemes, Siegel prepared customer tax returns and in some instances filed tax returns without obtaining his customers’ permission.
In preparing returns, Siegel falsely claimed customers’ personal purchases — including ones at Tiffany & Company and Louis Vuitton, and with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and Princess Cruise Lines — as deductible business expenses, according to the suit.
Siegel attempted to conceal these false deductions from the Internal Revenue Service by reporting them as large expenses for “supplies” or “medical records,” according to the government’s complaint.
Siegel also allegedly attempted to delay and obstruct IRS examinations of his customers, providing false corporate documents in order to deceive auditors, producing bogus contracts to auditors and lying to IRS officials when asked to confirm information on behalf of his customers, according to the lawsuit.
The Holocaust Denial Mindset
The essence of the Holocaust denial mind is this: “You forced us to do this. We never wanted to kill innocents such as women and children, but you gave us no choice with your radical destructive war on everything we hold sacred (communism, Freudianism, degeneracy, modern art, Weimar Republic, war on Gentile racial, religious and national identity).”
It’s like what Golda Meir said: “We can forgive the Arabs for killing our children. We cannot forgive them for forcing us to kill their children. We will only have peace with the Arabs when they love their children more than they hate us.”
Holocaust Museum Sees a U.S. Duty to Syrian Refugees
Chaim Amalek: “Jesus Christ, if there is one argument that the friends of Israel (which I assume includes the Holocaust Museum) need to avoid making, it is this one. Otherwise, the goyim might well ask why Israel is not accepting any of these people, and why it is expelling so many of the Africans who got in before Israel built its Trump-like wall to keep them out. Smart Zionist Jews know all this, and are keeping their mouths shut.”
As the U.S. debates the security implications of accepting refugees from the Syrian crisis, Americans should remember our history — both good and bad — of dealing with Jewish refugees during World War II, a U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum official said Tuesday.
There are some unfortunate similarities between the American reaction then and now, said Cameron Hudson, the director of the museum’s Simon-Skjodt Center for the Prevention of Genocide. The U.S., separated from the crisis by an ocean, can close its doors in a way that Europe cannot.
House Speaker Paul Ryan announced Tuesday that he would lead an effort to force a “pause” in admitting Syrian refugees, following the disclosure that one attacker in Paris may have used a fake Syrian passport to enter Europe. Republican presidential candidates Ted Cruz and Jeb Bush have proposed litmus tests for Syrians based on religion, tests President Barack Obama said ran counter to American values.
“At the moment Americans are looking at retrenchment, these refugees are looking to the U.S. to be the shining city on the hill,” Hudson said. “That appeals to the better nature of Americans.”
The Holocaust Museum does not take positions on specific policies, such as President Obama’s plan to accept an additional 10,000 Syrian refugees next year. But when thinking about how to treat those fleeing atrocities in Syria, Hudson said, Americans should remember the failure of the international community to protect the victims of the Holocaust.
“You look at the United States in the 1920s and ’30s, we built high walls, we stopped legal immigration,” he said. “We’re not quite at that point yet, but there’s a growing backlash.”
The United States did accept thousands of Jews through regular immigration procedures during World War II but until 1944 didn’t have a specific program to address the flow of refugees fleeing the Nazis. Beginning in 1940, U.S. policy made it difficult for Jewish refugees to gain admittance to the U.S., and U.S. consulates were ordered to delay visa approvals on national security grounds.
For the Holocaust Museum, the refugee crisis is just one symptom of the U.S. failure to respond to the mass atrocities in Syria.
“The voices of moderation seem to be getting drowned out by people who are taking these very hard national security positions,” said Hudson. “Nobody can reasonably argue that the response from the international community has been enough. As an institution we have a mandate to be the voice that the Jews of the 1930s did not have.”
But the Jews of Europe in the early 20th century did have more advocates in the U.S. than today’s Syrians do. Those advocates constantly pushed the U.S. government to be compassionate and to take in more refugees. Syrians have little such support. But they do have precedent on their side. They continue to hope American morality will trump fear.
COMMENTS POSTED TO BLOOMBERG:
* Muslim refugees have more than 20 Muslim states that can take them in. At the time of the Holocaust, there was NO Jewish state at all.
* Not to be course, but it seems that the appropriate response to the “director of the museum’s Simon-Skjodt Center for the Prevention of Genocide” statement of moral imperatives is: “So?”
It seems that Mr. Hudson is intent on trading on the perceived moral authority of his institution. Though, to be fair, what moral authority it has I am unsure. The last time I checked we had not solicited the opinion of the director of the American Museum of Natural History.
This is not a new comparison, and it seems doubly slanderous: first, in the comparison of the Jews of Europe with these “Syrian Refugees” (if there was ever an allegation that there were Nazi infiltrators hidden among those Jews, I crave to see that citation). Second, because of the generality of this article: ISIS does offer a specific threat of genocide to groups, but those groups are not the mass of people pouring into Europe. Christians, Yazhidis and other distinct minorities fill that role, and to not single out their specific plight is outrageous.
* A significant number of these “refugees” are military-age men who are mobbed up with ISIS. We have no way to vet them. Cameron Hudson is perhaps enjoying some moral preening, but these refugees are dangerous. Show some compassion for your fellow Americans.
* I gather from this that the United States has a moral obligation to give sanctuary to religious or ethnic minorities facing genocide. Is that right?
On Monday, I reported that Daily Beast reporter Josh Rogin had been accused of secretly recording Secretary of State John Kerry’s remarks at last week’s Trilateral Commission event in Washington. Rogin’s reporting on those remarks, however he obtained them, led to great frustration at the State Dept. — Kerry drew fire from Jewish organizations for saying that Israel could become “an apartheid state” — and prompted a personal letter of apology from Trilateral Commission chairman Joseph S. Nye.
Well, it’s not the first time Rogin has been suspected of privately recording remarks. In 2009, as a reporter for Foreign Policy, he attended the Adas Israel synagogue in Washington on Yom Kippur and reported on a conversation between Israeli ambassador Michael Oren and journalist Jeffrey Goldberg, both of whom were members of the congregation. That conversation was on the record, thoug Rogin’s report, as Goldberg remembers it, was “a wildly inaccurate account on many fronts.”
Race & Safe Spaces
* Black men are physically more attractive than white, being better built and more muscular — and usually able to beat the stuffing out of white men, which whites of both sexes know. They are also unapologetically masculine, more assertive, and often charming. most white men these days tend to be neutered, carefully inoffensive, and usually cannot fight worth a darn. It is easy to see how a white woman who wanted a masculine man would find a good-looking black guy appealing.
That’s why what you right wing types will never understand. You’re daughters and sisters and female relatives have always been fascinated by Black Men and desire to experience the Ultimate in Sensual and Sexual experience.
* I’ve noticed that blacks have a different way of understanding and using language. The semantic content of words is secondary, often irrelevant. The primary function of words and speech seems to be aural and ornamental. What’s primary is the sound of words and phrases.
Rash Of Suicides At Palo Alto High School
* The cruelty of life in the meritocratic upper class. The tragedy of the meritocracy is that the children of smart parents are inevitably likely to be dumber than their parents. If meritocratic upper class culture is built on contempt of the more middling, then children will understand they themselves are worthy of contempt.
* Other big reasons include constant new stream of cheap immigrant labor and a permanent black underclass. Once a family became established, it wasn’t too hard staying afloat. But immigration and less crowded also go hand in hand. When the US wasn’t crowded, land was free or very cheap. When crowded, structures built on that free cheap land generate rents, a big advantage to the descendents of the earliest arrivals. I’m obviously simplifying this, but you get what I mean.
A related micro example of this is how Angelenos made retirement money just by selling their LA house and moving to Arizona or Washington. An average kid born today in SF or LA will never be able to buy a house in those cities without their parents’ help. Hell, just about every 20-something living in the trendy parts of town are getting help from their parents or have roommates.
* The real problem is that our economy is skewed by the presence of a huge (~10 million) illegal immigrant work force. This, along with the relentless outsourcing of American manufacturing, ruins the supply of jobs (and the pay) at every level for Americans. In the 1960′s, relatively few Americans went to college, because jobs at all levels of the economy were reasonably plentiful, jobs that provided a lifestyle that everyone could live with.
A factory worker with nothing more than a high school diploma could afford a nice 3-bedroom house in a decent neighborhood, a couple of cars, along with a motorboat in the driveway, or even a vacation cottage within driving distance. State college tuition for your kids, if they got in, was about $700/term (2010 dollars). Didn’t get into college? No problem, no one worried. Bright future for everyone.
Now, if you don’t get into a very good college, and take the right classes that get you into the right graduate school, you’re doomed to being poor your entire life. No wonder these kids are so stressed.
* A faculty member at bronx science said there was at least one Asian suicide a year there, but not acknowledged as such by the shamed parents. Some other cause went on the death certificate or it was hushed up. It’s probably worse at stuyvesant hs, which is even more competitive and has proportionately more asians.
Two of my kids went to bx science when it was only a third Asian and less cutthroat but they told me a few stories of the treatment of these students by their parents. Not pretty . Now that both schools are majority Asian I would never have let them attend. It’s interesting though, I remarked to my son’s physics teacher that the asians must intimidate the white kids with their awesome smartz. Not so, the white kids are smarter, just less driven he told me.
* I think regression to the mean is misunderstood. First of all, it’s regression TOWARD the mean, not to the mean. So if two 130IQ parents have a child, chances are that child will fall somewhere in between the population mean of his ethnic group and that of his parents, but not all the way back to the population mean. And sometimes it goes the other way – it’s not an iron law. Two 130IQ parents have 145IQ offspring much more frequently than two 100 IQ parents.
Second, you have a phenomenon of assortative mating going on that is pushing in the other direction – Belmont is marrying Belmont and Fishtown is marrying Fishtown. What appears to be a single population mean for whites is actually a blended mean of two increasingly distinct groups. So maybe the relevant population mean is not the mean of the general population but that of your subgroup, so you don’t have that far to regress to. If you look at, for example Zuckerberg and Gates, their parents were not toothless hillbillies but professionals. Jobs was raised in a blue collar family but his birth parents were very intelligent. His father, Jandali, is from a prominent and wealthy Syrian family and has a PhD in Economics. The mean IQ of Kenyans is 71 but Obama’s father was clearly much smarter and Obama did not regress all the way back to the Kenyan mean or even the mulatto mean.
NYT: “Study Strongly Links Baltimore Mortgage Denials to Race”
Steve Sailer writes: “Baltimore blacks were long dogged by malicious stereotypes spread by The Wire, but their behavior in 2015 — first rioting, then murdering each other in large numbers — has demonstrated their financial trustworthiness. How delusionally racist are lenders to not see that houses in Baltimore black neighborhoods are sure bets?”
Comments:
* NYT should run headlines…

If a 1000 blacks kill 1000 blacks, the media run the story ’1000 blacks victimized by violence’ but suppress the more important story that 1000 blacks did the killing.
Narrative has to fit blacks as victims always.
* I have worked in the credit industry. You cannot red line because you cannot use geographic information in making a loan decision. Loan decisions are made by a computer algorithms that use your credit history, your work history and your income to decide whether to give you a loan. These algorithms need to be approved by a government agency and any potentially disparate impact component needs to be justified. This scrutiny is probably the reason why minorities have higher default rates.
* Once more social “science” proves itself to be anything but. Obviously, these politically motivated studies are useless for solving any real world problems. I am sure you can find hundreds of things you can correlate with low black mortgage approval rates and with a convincing enough narrative turn it into as useless a study as this is. All these studies are good for is giving useless social scientists grant money and race hustlers fuel for their shakedown operations.
It would be nice if some major university did the world a favor and disbanded all their social science departments. Hopefully, that would be the start of a trend. However, many universities take pride in the ranking of these departments. I know years back UCLA was bragging that their sociology department was ranked 20th in the country or something like that. So they viewed that as a badge of honor. I guess it is used to attract grad students as cheap labor for the professors.
