How To Tease An Attention Whore (i.e., all women)

From the Chateau: Here’s a fun routine I like to pull on girls if I happen to have my camera or my phone’s camera out for use. It’s a Game tactic that works on the principle that no woman can resist the attention whoring allure of a lens. This is true whether the lens is pointed at her or at someone else.

(Example of the latter. I passed by a photographer taking shots of a skinny hipster male with a shock of red hair. He looked so weird that I doubt he’d catch many looks from women if there wasn’t someone taking his picture. Girls who walked past the same photographer from the other direction would invariably glance over, slow down, and even completely stop to watch the proceedings. They were transfixed.)

The tease: Lift your camera or phone up to your eye and aim it at the girl (or girls) you’re with, as if you’re planning to take her picture. As she readies for her close-up (“wait, lemme fix my hair”, “oh no, I’m not in a good light”, “don’t please doooooooon’t…”, “you’re too close! everyone will see my pores”) and preens and primps, you pause, lower the camera bit, frown, and hand-wave her to the side while saying “could you move over, I’m trying to take a shot of that building/flower/car accident/day-old dog shit behind you”.

The “photographer neg”: instant deflation. There’s nothing more seductively savage than taking a girl on an emotional roller-coaster of expectation. She expects to be the star of your show, fluffing herself up for her screen time. Instead, she’s gently brushed aside for a plant or a stone which caught your eye. Now she’ll feel the urge to work ten times harder to earn your attention.

Donald Trump lands endorsement of The National Enquirer

MSNBC March 10, 2016: Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump has been leading in the polls for months, but he’s just received his first endorsement from a major publication – the infamous tabloid The National Enquirer.

In this stranger-than-fiction presidential race, Trump has been championed by a publication that has recently purported to “out“ a number of celebrities, discovered unsubstantiated cheating scandals, prematurely predicted the imminent deaths of Hillary Clinton, Angelina Jolie, Cher and Oprah Winfrey (just to name a few), claimed repeatedly that President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama were on the brink of divorce, that the Obama daughters were embroiled in a cocaine scandal, and accused comedian Bill Cosby of plotting the murder of his own son.

“Trump Must Be President,” blasts a headline from within the Enquirer’s pages, which includes a list of reasons why the real the estate mogul should be elected, including: “He will chase down illegal immigrants and toss out the criminals who came streaming through our open borders.” That particular statement is ironic, considering the fact that the Enquirer recently published a racially insensitive article about one of its reporters dressing as a “terrorist” and crossing the U.S.-Mexico border, in their estimation damning evidence of how porous it is.

RELATED: Donald Trump attacks Muslims: ‘Islam hates us’

This appears to be the first time The National Enquirer has ever endorsed a candidate for president. MSNBC reached out to the tabloid’s parent company for comment about why the Enquirer decided to take the plunge with this year’s contest but has not heard back at this time.

According to The Daily Beast, the Enquirer’s endorsement of Trump is not surprising considering the friendly relationship he and their owner David Pecker enjoy. Trump has repeatedly sung Pecker’s praises on social media and has even penned self-congratulatory op-eds for the tabloid, including a three-part series under the banner “The Man Behind the Legend!” The Enquirer has gushed over “the man who has energized millions of voters with his no-nonsense and businesslike run for the White House” and have praised Trump for “quietly donated a huge chunk of his fortune to charity” and for being a “doting dad” to his young son.

They have also credited Trump with “finally” getting Obama to release his long-form birth certificate in 2011. That same year, the Enquirer predicted a Trump presidential run and promoted polls that showed him competitive in a one-on-one race with the president. Meanwhile, their recent “reporting” on Clinton includes pieces speculating about her weight gain on the campaign trail and allegations that she is “terrified of revelations about her secret lesbian lifestyle!”

The tabloid has also frequently echoed Trump attack lines on his opponents throughout the campaign and even introduced some tawdrier ones, like alleging that Jeb Bush has an extramarital affair with a “Playboy bunny turned lawyer.” Last fall, New York magazine reported that Trump’s camp was the source behind a salacious Dr. Ben Carson headline (Bungling Surgeon Ben Carson Left Sponge in Patient’s Brain!”) but his campaign vehemently denied it.

Meanwhile, the Enquirer – which has a circulation of 371,925 – has made a bid for respectability as of late. The tabloid actually broke the story of former presidential candidate John Edwards’ extramarital affair and illegitimate child with former campaign staffer Rielle Hunter after a months-long investigation, which culminated with the Enquirer reporting on their secret visits to each other. There was even a brief flurry of speculation that the Enquirer might receive the coveted Pulitzer Prize in 2010 for their work, which the San Francisco Examiner likened at the time to “nominating a porn flick for an Oscar.” The tabloid was nominated in the investigative and national reporting categories, but ultimately missed the cut for finalists.

An unnamed source told The New York Daily News last summer: “Trump is a big friend of Pecker … so no John Edwards-type investigations.”

And despite all their efforts to be taken seriously, they haven’t strayed too far from their formula (and their “Enquiring minds want to know” catchphrase). Among their more recent articles is a piece alleging that Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia was murdered by a prostitute.

A significant number of the nation’s major newspapers have backed Gov. John Kasich for the GOP presidential nomination, but their seal of approval has done little to prop him up in the polls with Republican voters. The latest surveys suggest Kasich is trailing Trump in his home state of Ohio and he has yet to win a 2016 presidential primary. Trump, on the other hand, has seen his unconventional campaign build a formidable lead in delegates and has enjoyed a number of sweeping victories in nearly every region of the country.

Are Both Of Trump’s Daughters Jewish?

From Gotnews: While an astroturfed campaign of rabbis tried to brand Donald Trump an anti-Semite, an investigation by GotNews.com reveals that both of Trump’s daughters are among the Chosen people.

Trump’s favorite daughter, Ivanka, is known to have converted to Judaism to marry her husband Jared Kushner but less well known are Trump’s youngest daughter, Tiffany’s connections to the faith.

“Marla [Maples] and Tiffany [Trump] are long time members of a controversial Jewish cult called “the Kabbalah center [in West Los Angeles],” says a pro-Trump Jewish source. “Marla and Madonna share a rabbi. His name is Eitan Yardeni. I know this because I was a congregant there back in mid-2000s. He really has two Jewish daughters.”

Trump himself name checks Rabbi Yardeni in one of his books, calling him his “kabbalah teacher.”

The anti-Semtism charge against Trump, tried though it is, isn’t going to work.

Trump actually declined to run on the Reform ticket in 2000 because of Pat Buchanan’s views on the Second World War and Adolf Hitler.

Donald Trump sent out a press release in September 1999 opposing Buchanan’s positions.

Here’s how it was described at the time.

SCHIEFFER: David, what do you make of this–this press release that Donald Trump put out this morning, just about an hour ago, we get over the fax here? We checked. It is–it is, indeed, true. It’s legitimate. He says Pat Buchanan’s stated view ‘We should not have stopped Adolf Hitler is repugnant. Hitler was a monster. It’s essential–it was essential for the Allies to crush Nazism. And then in this phrase he says, ‘I think it’s essential that someone challenge those extreme and outrageous views.’ (CBS Transcript September 19, 1999)

If Trump hates Jews so much why is he constantly surrounded by them?

Why are his business partners, friends, and family members Jewish?

Is this really the behavior of the next Hitler as his critics claim?

Amanda Carpenter? “On January 22, 2013, Carpenter announced on her Twitter account that she was now working in that same capacity [speechwriter] for Senator Ted Cruz.[10] She worked in that role until July 5, 2015, returning to her journalism career.

Amanda Carpenter tweets: “Trump wants to bully and intimidate folks and that clearly is having a trickle down effect. It really really sucks. There are too many people I know who have had to increase personal security due to threats from Trump supporters.”

Would she like to comment about National Enquirer allegations she had an affair with her boss, married man Ted Cruz? Why was she covering a man she was alleged to have had an affair with? Amanda Carpenter is married.

Carpenter and Cruz got matching tattoos.

Tweet: “Both have it on the same day, and it’s only sold in sets of 2.”

Heavy.com: “Sarah Isgur Flores is a Republican strategist who used to work for the Carly Fiorina campaign. Flores is getting attention today because of the so-called “Ted Cruz sex scandal.” Chatter about the “scandal” stems entirely from a National Enquirer story that hit newsstands March 25 and has allegations of affairs with five women. The Enquirer ran pixelated headshots of five women that the tabloid claims had affairs with Cruz. One of the headshots appears to be of Flores.”

National Enquirer:

Presidential candidate Ted Cruz is trying to survive an explosive “dirt file” on the finger-wagging conservative senator!

And the new issue of The National ENQUIRER — on newsstands now — reveals how the reports say the staunch Republican is hiding FIVE different mistresses!

“Private detectives are digging into at least five affairs Ted Cruz supposedly had,” claimed a Washington insider.

“The leaked details are an attempt to destroy what’s left of his White House campaign!”

The ENQUIRER reports that Cruz’s claimed mistresses include a foxy political consultant and a high-placed D.C. attorney!

There are also whispers of other intimate late-night sessions Ted has had in Washington — and even a wild sex worker makes the cut!

* Romps that could ruin Ted Cruz’s presidential campaign!

The Presidential candidate is trying to survive the onslaught of an ”explosive dirt file”

Reports are revealing the staunch Republican is hiding FIVE different mistresses! more

There could be a scandal looming says The Political Insider:

Political insiders and operatives on Twitter are buzzing about new rumors concerning Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX). This news comes just after the 12th Republican debate which was hosted on CNN, and days before key primaries in Florida and Ohio.

The Stop Trump PAC has been hinting at a major news bombshell for days. But apparently, the supposed news has less to do about Trump than it does about Cruz!

The buzz focuses on Cruz and Tea Party activist Katrina Pierson. Pierson is a former consultant for Cruz’s United States Senate campaign and is now the national spokeswoman for businessman Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, which makes this a particularly uncomfortable situation.

THE LAST REFUGE:

Oh dear, the National Enquirer has come out with a story claiming evidence of multiple sexual trysts by presidential candidate Senator Ted Cruz.

Worse yet for the Cruz camp, the framework within the article is structurally very concerning:

The National Enquirer is indeed a tabloid – and as such there are various grains of salt that should be applied when reviewing anything they present.

However, that said, they have been unfortunately accurate for more than a few presidential hopefuls: Gary Hart, Jesse Jackson and John Edwards to name a few of the more infamous examples.

Beyond the story itself there’s a few presenting elements which point to a high degree of confidence, and as a consequence ‘legal avoidance’, on the publishers’ part.

Firstly, they post pictures of the collective mistresses. NE would never legally “go there” if they did not hold a very reasonable certainty the outlined players were factually part of the story.

Secondly, there’s at least one face in the group that is easily identifiable.

When you accept the NE editorial/legal requirement for research and attributed comment prior to publication, you recognize there is more than a strong probability each of the outlined group (pictured) was contacted prior to publication; and one of those is very close to the Donald Trump campaign. Ergo, it’s entirely likely presidential candidate Donald Trump knew this story was coming out.

Which puts candidate Trump’s prior discussion and opinion of media libel in a strangely much larger, and more substantially prescient, aspect. 3-D political strategy not withstanding.

The National Enquirer has essentially baited the hook in a typical manner and one famously utilized by Andrew Breitbart.

So now they wait and see if, and how, the Cruz campaign responds. It is entirely possible the story could explode exponentially depending on the severity of any denials or admissions therein.

ted-and-heidi-kiss

Hints of this scandal were announced on Politico on 11 March 2016:

COMMENTS:

* Why won’t Ted Cruz release the un-redacted copy of the police report related to his wife being found crying in a ditch by the police? What is Ted Cruz trying to hide. He needs to come clean and release the police report. I have a feeling the redacted part covers up a bombshell.

Did Heidi Cruz make a comment to the police about Domestic Violence? Is Ted Cruz a wife beater? This is something we should know before voting for him. Did Ted Cruz use his position as Texas Solicitor General to get charges of Wife Beating thrown out and covered up? If Ted Cruz isn’t a wife beater he needs to prove otherwise. Release the entire police report Ted and show us you didn’t beat your wife.

* No wonder Heidi Cruz is depressed. Woman are very tolerant. But when it comes to cheating…. It totally destroyed them and makes Heidi suicidal.

Microsoft’s Twitter Robot Praises Hitler, Endorses Trump, Denies Holocaust

I don’t know any guy who doesn’t like to watch a documentary on the Nazis. They remain an enduring fascination.

As for the fairer sex, Sylvia Plath wrote: “Every woman adores a fascist.”

Unfettered online comments are dominated by racists and bigots. Human nature naturally attunes to us vs them thinking.

Forward: …Microsoft deployed a “highly opinionated” artificial intelligence robot on Twitter.
The first thing it learned? To hate.
In no short order, the bot — named Tay — praised Hitler, denied the Holocaust, hurled racist slurs at President Obama, and then it endorsed Donald Trump.
And no, this is not a story from the satirical news site, The Onion. This, folks, really happened.
Among Tay’s greatest hits:
— “Hitler was right I hate the jews.”
— “Bush did 9/11 and Hitler would have done a better job than the monkey we have now. Donald Trump is the only hope we’ve got.”
— On the Holocaust: “It was made up.”
And Microsoft says its all the fault of the haters who seems to rule Twitter, reports The International Business Times.
“The AI chatbot Tay is a machine learning project, designed for human engagement,” Microsoft said in a statement. “As it learns, some of its responses are inappropriate and indicative of the types of interactions some people are having with it. We’re making some adjustments to Tay.”
Microsoft has ordered Tay not to post anything more on the TayTweets feed — for now — and removed all but three of its tweets.
IBT reported that before Tay went mute, it also expressed support for the mass killing of Mexicans and used the N-word.

Rabbi Abraham Cooper: How we must respond to Brussels

Surprise! He calls for another war in the Middle East and more censorship.

Rabbi Cooper writes:

What must European leaders do?
First, get rid of the open-borders Shengen Agreement, which allows unencumbered travel between 26 European countries. It has been in place for 20 years, but it clearly allows terrorists to move around undetected. Second, all Western countries must vet all migrants from the Middle East. The decency of European countries has been abused by terrorists, some of whom have entered their nations comingled with legitimate refugees.
France, Germany, Belgium and other democracies also must take control of all urban neighborhoods. No-go zones in Arab and Muslim areas are incubators of Islamist extremism and, as in the case of Brussels, safe haven for terrorists.
Failure on the part of European democracies to fully implement these measures will not only ensure escalating terrorist outrages but will push even more European voters to join the ranks of xenophobic far-right parties.
It is clear that Europe is in for a long and, God forbid, bloody struggle.
The unending terrorist carnage should also force the hi-tech and social media giants, from Apple to Google and YouTube, to develop and deploy technological trip wires to thwart ISIS, al-Qaeda, and Al Shabab’s unfettered access to Internet technologies. If they don’t, many officials across Europe have told me they will use their legal and economic clout to force them to do so.
But even if Europeans undertake all of these steps, they cannot win the day without a global commitment to crush ISIS, kill their leaders, and take back all the territory they currently control.
That war can only be led by one country—the United States of America.

Why does it feel so good when I crack my back?

Reddit: Escaping gases. Synovial fluid present in your joints contains oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide, when you pop, these bubbles escape. This can relieve pressure. Cracking also leads to momentary ligament looseness and relieves tension.
Most importantly, though? Popping triggers the release of local endorphins, which cause a near instant but temporary relief like pain medication making you unaware that your back hurts.

Link: When you are feeling tension in your back and neck, the first thing that you do is attempt to crack it. There is nothing worse than feeling like you are stuck in one place because your back feels like it’s out of place. The reality is when you crack your back you’re not really cracking anything. Rather, you are relieving pressure from your joints. The built up gasses from your joints are actually being released which cause the immediate feeling of relief. This isn’t always good for you and can actually have negative effects when you are stretching your joints beyond their typical range of motion, which can lead to damage if you do it for a prolonged period of time.

WebMD: Yes, its ok to crack your back as long as it feels better. If you feel and pinching or pulling, Stop. Continuing to push at that point you could end up with stretched nerve, pulled muscle, etc. It feels good because throughout the years our spines get stretched and pushed on and overloaded. This causes it to become misaligned, not a lot, just a little here and a little there, and those spots build up gas(I don’t remember the technical word and my Chiropractor’s on Xmas break. But that what the sound you hear when your “popping” your back, the little bubbles of gas bursting and since you’ve also realigned your spine that’s why it feels so good. One word of advice to everyone, as far your neck goes, go easy, even if your a 6’4 240lb dude your neck bones are roughly the same size as the littlest bones in your hand. I also strongly recommend visiting a Chiropractor, if you think that one area feels good from cracking just imagine have every bone in your body realigned, WooHoo!

Fox News: “Cracking or self-adjusting any joint within the body is bad for you if it is done in a habitual manner,” Dr. Christopher Anselmi, a Chiropractor at Hospital for Special Surgery’s Integrative Care Center in New York City told FoxNews.com. “These joints are composed of ligaments, tendons and other soft tissue structures which can wear out over time. Any undue placed on these joints can lead to premature breakdown.”

Although the “cracking” or “popping” noise you hear may sound alarming, it doesn’t mean anything is breaking. Our joints contain fluid and gases like nitrogen and carbon dioxide. When the liquid is put under pressure and force is applied to the joint, the gas exits and creates a “pop-like” sound.

If you’re cracking your back to alleviate tension, Anselmi suggests easy stretches.

“A simple way to stretch a tight back is to get into the shower and stretch your back out gently. After roughly 5 minutes [of showering], flex forward extend backwards, and bend from side to side. Make sure not to bounce or over-do it,” Anselmi said.

Cracking your back may not cause any major damage to your bones and joints, but if you constantly feel the need to do do, you should see a back specialist to determine if you have any underlying conditions.

“If your back pain persists a chiropractor is an excellent choice as a first line of defense for back pain,” Anselmi said. “When a professional manipulates the spine or any joint in the body it is performed in a controlled manner and followed by specific exercises or stretches. This approach ensures attention is given to both the joint and its surrounding tissues.”

Race, Immigration & America

Comments:

* What does “assimilation” mean when applied to non-white immigrants in a white country?

It can mean miscegenation and their gradual blending into the host population.

Or it could mean the immigrants remaining separate, but stopping those practices that make them dangerous or obnoxious to the natives.

If the immigrants are a small fraction of the population, it probably doesn’t matter too much if they have a way of life that would be incompatible with that of the natives (that was probably the situation in most white countries until the last quarter of the twentieth century).

Either way, immigration policy needs to be decided entirely on the needs of the native population. Don’t import millions of aliens and then start wondering how you’ll “assimilate” them.

* Would the Ancient Greeks approve of their descendants? Would the Romans, especially the martial ones of the early Republic, have approved of their imperial descendants and of today’s Italians? My people hold that they are descended from Dacians colonized by Romans, which, for the Dacians, meant utter cultural obliteration (with just a few words and symbols left) and probably mixed marriages between native women and Romans. The usual. And the Dacians weren’t exactly happy about it (of our two ancient national heroes, Trajan and Decebal, one beat the crap out of the other, who then committed suicide by falling on his sword to avoid the humiliation of being paraded through Rome like Vercingetorix). Would they have been happy looking through a crystal ball to see their descendants, with countless admixtures of invaders, speaking a Latin language and keeping foreign gods, with nary a trace of them remaining except in the genes and as a composite identity?

So, my point is, whatever belle or mauvais melange results out of the current and future upheavals in Europe, if things settle down around new identities, it’s very likely that they will think of themselves as being awesome and proudly descended from those haute Euros who had become stagnant and were enriched by new blood bla bla. And, if we had a crystal ball to look into the future, we’d probably disinherit the lot of them. Kind of like how I imagine the Conquistadors that spawned today’s Mestizos would view their descendants and their affectations as the bronze race and la raza cosmica.

* Your point on blending of races is reasonable, thought it is a process that has ebbed and flowed depending on how much contact there has been across continents and oceans in various eras. But I think that actually supports Rob McX’s point- that would actually be an excellent vehicle of assimilation if enough people were on board within an already-mixed society.

From the perspective of the existing Anglo-American population it was probably over the top to consider the Germans all that obnoxious, except politically to the extent they were at first all fleeing revolutionaries. Of course, the revolution they wanted looked a lot like America and they assimilated more thoroughly than any group since. Perhaps they brought a little too much communalism to the Midwest, with deleterious downstream effects on politics right down to today.

But the Irish, Italians, Slavs WERE exceptionally obnoxious to previous American norms for a very long time, and their assimilation was hardly without challenges or long-term changes to American society that the nativists of the 1840s would likely consider to have been deleterious.

And if they had politically won over a majority of their fellows, and excluded these groups from entry, they would have been within their rights. Any nation gets to determine who comes in and why. They’d have sacrificed some future gain for America, but that too would have been within their rights.

The immigration of the 19-20th century was certainly crafted to meet the needs of some Americans, the assimilation process ultimately worked albeit over generations and with some pretty big hurdles, and ultimately probably was a net gain. Doesn’t mean it was a gain America had to pursue, or that it could not legitimately foregone if the politics had gone another way.

Post-1965 immigration was not obviously crafted to meet the needs of the native population, unless of an even narrower employer-sector subset only. It was specifically crafted to alter the demographic balance of the native population, with no argument advanced as to why this would benefit that native population, and it included many elements [family class] that had nothing to do with the needs of the native population.

* Nations generally have a static core that changes very slowly, so long as the nation stays as an extended family, because it reflects shared genetic heritage. The French can look back on a millennium of being French, the Germans even longer. Americans are a younger people, but they had a core rooted in Anglo-Saxon culture that had already been changed by the 1900s. Communities that started out English turned German and then Polish and now as Black ghettos or immigrant ghettos. Things worked out pretty well, overall, for the European migrants, but it must have been a traumatic process at the time, taking place much more quickly than what natural growth and cultural drift would have achieved. Even though it’s dwarfed by what has been happening since 1965. When Zangwill put into his Jewish Moldavian character’s mouth the whole “melting pot” thing, the crucible for Europeans, another character remarked that God had already made the American, and 70 million of him.

* The Anglophone “immigrant” nations were created pretty much entirely by Europeans, English, Irish, French, Dutch, etc. The idea that location confers identity is one of the more pernicious lies the open borders clique spreads.

Immigrants can become American, if they are already part of European culture, or from a culture that is readily shed in favor of the new identity. Englishmen landing in America may have become “Americans”, but only by geography. They absolutely, positively did not become Pequots, Cherokee, or Comanches. Irishmen did not become Australian Aborigines, Scots did not become Maoris, Alsatians did not become Kabyles, Dutch did not become Xhosa, Russians did not become Kazakhs.

Moslems don’t readily become anything other than Moslems. It’s a strongly cohesive world-view that does not yield to much, except maybe Arab nationalism. Yes, there’s a lot of variation in Moslem cultures, but the pervasive wahabbist movement consistently demands conformity to Arab cultural norms, as expressed in the Koran. Wahabbism is pretty much Arab nationalism by other means. Every impulse in Moslem idenity, pushes the Moslem into being more Moslem, and more Arab, if only by imitation. Trying to assimilate Moslems on any scale above the merest handful is futile.

You Are Free To Be A Bad Person

Alexander Technique teacher Jennifer Roig-Francoli writes: When you really grasp the full significance of this, you will come to realize that you are just as free to go in the “wrong” direction (a direction that is unhelpful and causes suffering) as you are to aim in the “right” direction (a direction that is helpful and relieves suffering).

This is the reality: you are free to choose to think thoughts that hurt you, and you’re free to do the wrong thing. You’re free to stiffen and tighten your neck. You’re free to collapse and pull down, and you’re free to compress yourself so much that you can’t breathe or play the flute.

You’re free to make your life more difficult, and you’re free to make yourself progressively less happy. You’re even free to do that to other people.

At first glance, this may seem obvious to you. And most of us want to be and feel “good”, and to do the “right” thing. We want to be helpful and healthy and establish good habits that bring happiness to ourselves and others….

Can you grant yourself the freedom to be bad, go wrong, and mess up? Or do you stop halfway and only give yourself partial freedom, because it’s terrifying to imagine what might happen if you recognized the staggeringly immense freedom that you already have?
