Why Did Rabbi Shmuly Yanklowitz Leave Kehilat Israel?

President Steve Osman writes in the shul bulletin in 2013:

This article will formally announce to those who do not already know, that Rabbi Yanklowitz has resigned his position as
Senior Rabbi. On Friday, May 17 a verbal agreement was reached and was affirmed by a written letter of resignation. Those attending
Shabbat Services on May 18 heard me read the following letter:

4/26/2013
To the Board, Officers, Staff, and Congregants of Kehilath Israel
From: Rabbi Dr. Shmuly Yanklowitz
My dear friends,
It is with heavy heart that I inform you that I am resigning as Senior Rabbi of the congregation. Due to misunderstandings regarding the application of the synagogue’s policies and procedures as outlined in its Constitution and my Engagement Agreement, I believe I must move on.

Shoshana and I were very blessed to have had eight wonderful months with you. So many of you have touched our hearts and become true partners and friends. We are very grateful to you and will miss you very much. We wish you all good health, long life, growth, and happiness. You will always have a special place in our hearts.
With deep gratitude and appreciation, wishing you all many blessings,

Rabbi Shmuly Yanklowitz

Do social justice and scandal go together? It would be funny if the rabbi did something unethical. Reading between the lines, it sounds like some sort of financial problem. I wonder if YCT moved in, paid money all over the place and had articles removed from the web to save him as he is one of their biggest stars.

In July of 2013, came this announcement from Phoenix:

Valley Beit Midrash hires one of ‘America’s top 50 rabbis’

Earlier this year, Newsweek named him one of “America’s Top 50 Rabbis” for the second year in a row. And now, starting in July, Rabbi Shmuly Yanklowitz, founder and president of the social justice organization Uri L’Tzedek, will be executive director of Valley Beit Midrash.
Yanklowitz, 31, was described by Newsweek as “Orthodoxy’s most prominent voice on social justice” who “has a resume longer than many rabbinic leaders twice his age.”
This resume includes a master’s degree in leadership, moral development and psychology from Harvard University and a master’s in Jewish philosophy from Yeshiva University. He received ordination from Yeshivat Chovevei Torah Rabbinical School (the same school as his predecessor Rabbi Darren Kleinberg), as well as a second one from Rabbi Shlomo Riskin in Efrat, Israel, and a third from Rabbi Nathan Lopez Cardozo of Jerusalem. Last year, he received a doctorate in epistemology, moral development and developmental psychology from Columbia University.
He is also the author of “Jewish Ethics & Social Justice: A Guide for the 21st Century” and serves as CEO of the Shamayim V’Aretz Institute, which focuses on preventive health, kosher veganism, animal welfare, activism and preservation of the environment.
In the past decade, he has been the director of Jewish life and senior Jewish educator at the Hillel at the University of California, Los Angeles; a chaplain in the U.S. Army; a hospital chaplain; and a congregational rabbi.
Valley Beit Midrash, founded in 2007, describes itself on its website, valleybeitmidrash.org, as “a collaborative organization that brings new, exciting and relevant Jewish programming to the Greater Phoenix Jewish community in a diverse welcoming, engaging and pluralistic setting” and partners with a number of local synagogues and Jewish organizations to provide this programming.

The White Death

Comments: I remember the “Greatest Generation” drank, constantly. They also chain smoked.

The generation after them I think is called “The Quiet Generation” — they seemed more abstemious.

My fellow Boomers, many of them picked up the drug habit and never stopped. But the drug habit isn’t just any particular drug, it’s the idea that you have to self-medicate constantly. And many do. I can think of at least a couple cases where peers just dropped dead in their ’50′s from excessive “self medication.” I don’t believe that heroin was the cause (but I know some of those, too.) But it may well have been decades of alcohol, MJ, pain pills, meth, and cocaine abuse.

I am going to guess that many of these deaths involve people either in young or later middle age who really don’t have anything to do in their lives. That’s the sad truth for a lot of people, even if they have kids, once the kids grow up and leave. However, you might be right that many of these people have a nearer connection to obtaining various types of drugs that keeps the Quiet Ones alive.

* I was watching a documentary recently about the death of the actor Heath Ledger. The main drugs found in his system were anti-anxiety drugs and painkillers. Doctors these days don’t like to give out drugs like Valium because they have the potential for addiction. However, a medical expert on the documentary pointed out that it was very unlikely someone could actually die from overdosing on doctor-perscribed sedatives like Valium. What killed Ledger was probably an overdose of high power pain killers (of a type usually only given to cancer patients) which he somehow acquired illegally. Interestingly pain killers not only help to dull physical pain, but they can also help to dull psychological pain, since the two types of pain are closely connected from a neurological perspective.

* The deep trough in the early ’70s is interesting. I was born in ’76. That was the era where drugs weren’t quite so cool (perhaps “Just Say No” was more effective than lefties give Nancy credit for) and when sex was honest to God deadly, with AIDS deaths peaking ca. 1987-1993. I pretty much assume that every other male celebrity who died during that time frame died from AIDS. AIDs definitely contributed at least a little to the spike in the ’50s.

People born in the early to mid-70s were flooded with propaganda discouraging us from drugs and unsafe sex, as well as the fitness boom. We had seat belts, airbags, anti-lock brakes, and never had to go to war.

Social media seems to be weakening the effect of old school anti-drug propaganda, though. People seem to take a rather casual attitude towards drug and alcohol abuse these days, and are quite happy to brag about it on Facebook and elsewhere. The legalization of pot in several states is one consequence of that.

America Needs A Black King

Steve Sailer writes: Back in the 1990s, I proposed that America have a Head of State distinct from the Head of Government, who would embody the ceremonial majesty of the country.

I think a ten year appointive term with an unwritten tradition that it would be filled by senior black celebrities would be satisfying to the public: such as in 1996 James Earl Jones, in 2006 Oprah, and in 2016 Samuel L. Jackson or Denzel Washington, with, say, Will Smith or David Robinson on deck for 2026; for 2036 LeBron James, Russell Wilson or Viola Davis?

This might be a good solution to the problem that has been emerging for the Democratic Party of white candidates having to abase themselves in front of demented black protestors, which is related to the problem the Academy Awards have been having: the black feeling of megalomaniacal entitlement that once you go black you can never go back.

But of course there’s not such a surplus of black competence that these strongly felt emotions can safely be accommodated.

However, there is no shortage of blacks with kingly or queenly affects.

So, create important ceremonial positions only open, by tradition, to black celebrities.

COMMENTS:

* A big part of the Trump movement is the result of the masses believing that we no longer have a constitutional republic. Too many thousand-page bills and trade deals that no one gets to read are rubber stamped. The federal government refuses to enforce existing laws, or at the least picks and chooses which laws to enforce. De facto amnesty has been granted to millions of people who don’t belong.

Yet the Trump supporters are the problem? Trump only needs to enforce existing laws to make an impact. Yet enforcing laws seems to be autocratic by Douthat. Oh, and throw in a reference to Putin. That’s double-plus-bad.

We get it. We are supposed to shut up, let the rulers replace our population and outsource our industry all while trying to start a war with Russia.

* The Douther is a real moron.

If people want a king, it’s because a king focuses on the kingdom.

What we have is an empire, and the imperial presidency has turned the president into an emperor(albeit a puppet-emperor) of the GLOB order.

I think it’s better to have a ‘king’ than an ‘emperor’.

Emperor is too focused on the world to care about the security and interests of his own kingdom.
Once the rulers become addicted to World Power, that of the empire, then one’ s own kingdom or republic seems so puny and small. Addiction to scale.

So, the paradox of Trump is he wants to be the big man to focus on the little people of his ‘kingdom’. He wants ‘kingdom first’ than ‘empire always’.

And that is the good side of Putin. He wants to be the Russian leader of Russia, not the world.

It is the US that is an empire, and it is US presidents who’ve been acting like globo-emperors.

No more emperors trying to rule the world. Better to have kings focusing on the kingdom.

As the Romans found out, when you conquer the world, the world conquers you. All roads that lead out from Rome also lead to Rome.

* Of course we’re dealing with the “NYT affect” whereby any pundit, no matter how boring or worthless, is deemed IMPORTANT because they are published in the newspaper.

We can start with the fact that Ross is only published in the NYT, because he is a “reasonable” Conservative. That is, he agrees with rich liberals on everything that matters, but disagrees with them on stuff that doesn’t.

So, of course, Ross thinks Trump is the greatest threat to the USA, ever, ever, because Trump opposes open borders and bad trade deals.

The truth is that Trump is a moderate Republican who wants some sanity in our Government dealings regarding trade and immigration but otherwise is a pretty reasonable, middle of the road, american billionaire.

But evidently, even the slightest disagreement with the status quo means you’re “just like Hitler!!”

* Sometimes, maybe most of the time, I have no idea what Douhat is saying, or why he is saying it.

There’s an inherent obscurantism in the guy. As the Good Dr. Nietzsche would have it, he muddies his waters that they might appear deep.

* There’s another interpretation than “the cult of the presidency”. There’s the real-world observation that the presidency keeps getting more powerful, so it’s logical to assume if your guy wins he’ll have at least as much power as the last guy.

The only thing that obscures this observation is that recent GOP presidents think small domestically. Their biggest domestic accomplishments are either stuff Dems wanted too (raising social security taxes to extend the program, creating the department of homeland security) or temporary (Reagan’s tax cuts; W’s top rate tax cuts). But Obama shows what’s possible. He created the biggest new entitlement since LBJ and imported millions of future voters for his party by deciding not to enforce some immigration laws.

* Reflecting back on the Obama presidency, I’ve come to the conclusion that Obama cared very little about governing but cared a lot about trolling whitey. Indeed, he spent the bulk of his time very visibly enjoying the perks of office, burning through more tax payer money on vacations than all the presidents of the 20th century combined. Truly, he was the first Hip Hop president with his Secret Service posse, and his own private 747. His goal was to be a proxy Everynegro living the lifestyle every black man and woman thinks he/she is entitled to.

So as an improvement to our democracy, I propose a copy of Versailles be built somewhere on the National Mall to accommodate this new head of state. And I recommend that he stand for election during regular presidential Election years but 1) the vote be conducted on the first Monday of Nov. and 2) the head of state can be reelected as many times as he wishes to run. This will divert the black electorate toward more pressing matters like who has the best pimp style, who is keeping it real, and whose First Hootchie Mama has the phattest ass. Come back to the polls on Tue to vote in a second election for some boring chief executive? Fuhgeddaboudit!

* Obama claim to fame is master of the passive aggressive troll. Obama could be as lazy, as golfing, as hoops shooting as he wanted to be because he appointed energetic true believer leftists and race hustlers working under him. Such as Hillary messing up Libya and Syria, causing the migrant invasion of Europe. Thomas Perez and Holder at Justice. Valerie Jarrette who is Obama’s brains. Scores of gay, lesbian, black and other types of minority appointees at Justice, State and everywhere. So Obama is vacationing up at Martha’s Vineyard eating ice cream for two weeks? So what, because his appointed termites keep busy gnawing away every day of the year. Call this “The Art Of The Laze”.

Larry Wilmore at White House Correspondent Dinner 2016 [WHCD FULL SPEECH]

— “Welcome to Negro Night here in Washington. Or as Fox News will report, ‘Two thugs disrupt elegant dinner in DC.’”

— “Nice to be here, though, at the White House correspondents’ dinner where, as you know, they’re gonna call it next year, ‘Donald Trump Hosts a Luxurious Dinner Paid For By Mexico.’”

— “A little bit about me: I am a black man who replaced a white man who pretended to be a TV newscaster. So yeah, in that way, Lester Holt and I have a lot in common.”

— “I can’t understand why everybody treats Donald Trump with kid gloves. Then I realize they’re the only gloves that will fit his stupid little baby hands.”

— To Obama: “I saw you hanging out with NBA players like Steph Curry, Golden State Warriors. That was cool. You know, it kind of makes sense too, because both of you like raining down bombs on people from long distances.”

— “Speaking of drones, how is Wolf Blitzer still on television? Ask a follow up question! Hey Wolf, I’m ready to project tonight’s winner: Anyone that isn’t watching ‘The Situation Room.’”

— “I have to say about the first lady, it is so nice to have dinner with you. She is the epitome of grace, class, and poise. Isn’t she? She really is. Not to be confused with future first gentleman Bill Clinton whose three favorite strippers are named Grace, Class, and Poise.”

— “Some of America’s finest black journalists are here tonight. Don Lemon’s here, too.”

— “Hillary [Clinton] was flustered when a Black Lives Matter protester challenged her. I haven’t seen a white lady that upset over being blindsided by a black person since Kelly Ripa.”

— “The Treasury promised to put Harriet Tubman’s face on the $10 bill, but now we have to wait until 2030 for the $20 bill. Man, women haven’t been this deceived by a Bill since Cosby.”

— “Chris Christie was supposed to be here tonight. I don’t know if he made it. He RSVPd for three: He, his wife, and Donald Trump’s dry-cleaning. I shouldn’t make fun. Chris lost a lot of weight recently, didn’t he? This is what he said, he said he just eliminated everything from his routine that wasn’t necessary. Like his self-pride and dignity.”

— “Man, everybody hates Ted Cruz. Even OJ Simpson said, ‘That guy is just hard to like.’”

— “There’s a joke going around the Internet that Ted Cruz is actually the Zodiac Killer. I’m not making that up. Come on, that is absurd. Some people actually liked the Zodiac Killer.”

— “John Boehner came out of retirement and described Ted Cruz as Lucifer in the flesh. Lucifer. I mean that is not fair, man. Lucifer is horrible — but he’s not the Zodiac Killer.”

— “MSNBC is here tonight. Yep, which actually now stands for ‘Missing a Significant Number of Black Correspondents’. . . MSNBC got rid of so many black people, I thought Boko Haram was running that network.”

— “You look terrible, Mr. President. No, you do, man. Look at you. Your hair is so white it tried to punch me at a Trump rally.”

— “I am impressed with the people in this room. There are so many rich, powerful people in this room. You know, it’s nice to finally match the names to the faces in the Panama Papers.”

— “C-SPAN, of course, is carrying tonight’s dinner live. . . Which is ironic because most of the viewers are not. It is true, guys. C-SPAN is the number-one network among people who died watching TV and no one‘s found them yet. No, but it is good to be on C-SPAN. I am glad I am not on your rival network ‘No Input HDMI-1.’”

— “CNN’s here tonight. I have not watched CNN for a long time. I used to watch it back when it was a news network. I don’t know about you guys, but I cannot get enough of that CNN countdown clock. Now we can see exactly when they hit zero in the ratings.”

— “I am confused with Bernie Sanders’s stance on guns. He seems to be anti-gun everywhere except Vermont. Bernie doesn’t care who gets a gun in Vermont. [fake whispers] There are no black people in Vermont.”

— “Bernie got in trouble for saying Hillary Clinton was unqualified. She is extremely qualified. In fact, when you factor in all of her policy flip-flops, she is at least several of the most qualified candidates ever to run for president.”

— “Donald Trump looks like the rich dad in every episode of ‘Law & Order’ where the frat kid accidentally strangles a hooker. Or as they say here at the Washington Hilton, Tuesdays.”

— “The president and first lady will return to private life. It is going to be different for you guys. Nobody to wash the dishes or change the bed linens, sweep the floors. You are going to miss Joe Biden.”

— “I just got a note from the president saying that if you want another drink you should order it now because the bar will be closing down. Of course, he said the same thing about Guantanamo so you have at least another eight years.”

A $6 bribe turned this Mexican teen into an overnight internet celebrity

REPORT: A young woman has become an overnight social media sensation after getting caught on video trying to bribe a cop with $6 to get out of an apparent drunk driving incident.

And no, it’s not Lindsey Lohan.

It’s 18-year-old Mexican college student Lorena Daniela Aguirre, a young woman in a small cocktail dress who got caught behind the wheel while apparently intoxicated in the central state of Guanajuato. She reportedly crashed into several cars after dodging a pedestrian carrying a baby and then, too drunk to speak coherently, tried to bribe the cops with a 100-peso bill (which actually is even less than $6 given the plummeting value of the peso).

The video of the mess instantly went viral and was given its own hashtag #Lady100pesos.

Although this video was produced by a news agency, it’s similar to others that are being recorded and uploaded to shame those in the country’s elite who think they can misbehave with total impunity. Mexicans are increasingly turning to smartphones and social media tools like Periscope to perform a new digital form of vigilante justice.

Most Mexicans are shaming Lady 100 pesos but there are also many who are turning what should be a life-changing lesson in reckless stupidity into a celebrity fantasy.

Aguirre, thanks to her good looks, has become wildly popular on the Mexican internet. A Facebook public figure page created in the aftermath of the video has garnered more than 200,000 followers in just a few days. Another Facebook page, claiming to be the real Aguirre, has over 90,000 followers. Both pages have become a gathering of men drooling over Aguirre, comparing her to a Mexican pop star known as Belinda and engaging in a heated online debate about who’s hotter.

Should We Move The American Border South?

Comment: “I think it’s a mistake to build the wall where the border currently stands. It’s impossible to defend. We should mirror what the Israelis have done in Palestine and push the Mexicans into the area east of Coatzacoalcos and build a new cheaper, better border at the choke point running south of there. It’s a much gentler solution than using Panama as the choke point.”

* One of the reasons the US/Mexican border is where it is is that the US promised Mexico they would halt the constant Plains Indians (mostly Comanche, Kiowa, and Apache) raids into Mexico. Plains Indian raids into Mexico were not minor vexations, they were major operations. When the US Army invaded northern Mexico in the Mexican-American war, they found the region devastated by Comanche raids. The Comanche raided far south into Mexico, getting pretty close to Mexico city.

If interested, a good place to start is Comanche Wars; the Comanche-Mexico Wars; and Comancheria.

Comanche Wars:

“…Comanche power peaked in the 1840s when they conducted large scale raids hundreds of miles deep into Mexico while also warring against the Anglo-Americans and Hispanics in Texas…

…The Comanche Wars began in 1706 with raids by Comanche on Spanish colonies in New Mexico and continued until the last bands of Comanche surrendered to the United States in 1875…”

Comanche-Mexico Wars:

“…The Comanche–Mexico Wars was the Mexican theater of the Comanche Wars, a series of conflicts from 1821 to 1870s which consisted of large-scale raids into northern Mexico by Comanches and their Kiowa allies which left thousands of people dead…

…By the time the United States army invaded northern Mexico in 1846 during the Mexican–American War the region was devastated.

…In 1835, the state of Chihuahua, ravaged by Apache as well as Comanche raids, offered a bounty of 100 pesos (about U.S.$100) for each scalp of a hostile Indian man and lesser amounts for women and children. American and Indian, primarily Delaware and Shawnee, scalp hunters killed many Apache and peaceful Indians for the bounty over the next few years, but apparently had little success in hunting down and killing Comanches…

…In the 1820s and 1830s most Comanche raids were in the southern parts of Texas…

…In attacking Mexico, the Comanche seemed motivated by opportunity, economics and revenge – their animosity toward non-Comanches sharpened by decades of war and reprisals. Thus, their raids on Mexico became increasingly bloody and destructive…

…In the 1840s, Comanche raids became larger, more deadly, and penetrated deeply into Mexico…

…The bloodiest raiding year was July 1845 – June 1846 when 652 Mexicans and 48 Comanches were recorded as killed. The Comanches had turned northern Mexico into a “semicolonized landscape of extraction from which they could mine resources with little cost.”

…”the whole country from New Mexico to the borders of Durango is almost entirely depopulated. The haciendas and ranchos have been mostly abandoned, and the people chiefly confined to the towns and cities.”…

…When American troops invaded northern Mexico in 1846 they found a devastated landscape and a demoralized people. There was little resistance to the Anglo-Americans.

…In 1852, in perhaps the most far-ranging of all Comanche raids, they reached the Mexican state of Jalisco in the tropics near the Pacific Ocean, 600 miles (970 km) from their usual crossing point of the Rio Grande, near Presidio, Texas and nearly 1,000 miles (1,600 km) from their Great Plains homeland…

…After the American Civil War the Comanche were soon overwhelmed and the last of them, now reduced to about 1,500 people, surrendered to the U.S. army in 1875…”

Jews, Muslims & The American Future

Comment: In England right now there is a great big rumpus concerning that nasty old Trot of a Labour former London mayor and MP, Ken Livingstone, and accusations of ‘antisemitism’.
Basically, Livingstone, rather astonishingly, described Adolf Hitler as a ‘Zionist’.

As some background, Livingstone got into this mess by defending one Naz Shah, a female Pakistani MP – representing Bradford, naturally, – who tweeted that ‘Jews should be paid money to vacate Israel and relocate to the USA’ -. The irony of a Pakistani living on British soil making such a remark apparently escaped her.

Anyhow, as the Labour Party more and more relies in the immigrant vote, and thus panders to islamists, this sort of thing will get more common. Labour MPs will more or less openly denounce Israel – and Jews as a people – to garner the massive and rapidly growing Muslim vote. Ironically, British Jews were the leading supporters of the criminalization of opposition to massive third world immigration into Britain. Some, such as the truly odious Jonathan Ported, were architects of shitty New Labour’s open door policy of massive uncontrolled immigration.

Surely, there’s a moral or two here.

* While not exactly the case, it’s not that astonishing, since it’s been fairly well documented that Hitler was cooperating to establish Israel with certain Zionist factions.

Here’s a link of a news report when the book that explained “The Transfer Agreement” was published. The author was Jewish, and his parents were appalled:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8_bFF8c-Jk

Here’s a more recent interview on cspan with the author:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-SC9DFopGw

The facts as related in the book tends to upset some people, particularly some jewish people, since apparently the prime directive of managing information on the jewish holocaust is that one can never imply that jews, collectively, or individually, might have inadvertently “brought it on themselves,” as well as the notion that Hitler had 101 problems, and the jews were only one of them, rather than casting jews as an irresistible scapegoat whom Hitler wanted to expel from the planet in short order regardless of the consequences.

In any case, Livingston is overreaching the limits of the truth, when referring to Hitler as a Zionist simply because Hitler cooperated with Zionists to establish Israel–but he’s not hallucinating.

I would conclude that jewish leadership was so fractured at the time, that initiating the agreement became impossible. Not necessarily anybody’s fault, it’s just the way the dice rolled at that time. If you believe timing is everything in political discourse, the timing was bad for the Transfer Agreement to work.

The book is available on Amazon.

Steve Sailer: Mexican Flag-waving Mob Harassing Motorists Outside Trump Rally in Costa Mesa, CA

Screenshot-2016-04-28-22.09.04

Comments:

* Nothing like recruiting more support for Trump.

But then no one ever accused Mexicans of being smart.

* They always used to hand out American flags at the various pro-illegal rallies so as to manage the public’s perceptions even though in fact it meant nothing to those waving it. I guess this is closer to what their real feelings are.

* I think that some SJWs, BLM types, and other identity protesters are so certain of their own rightness in opposing “oppression”, “Fascism”, “Trumpism”, or whatever ism they project on those they hate, that they are oblivious to how they are coming across and how they are actually helping the side they oppose.

Nearly any demonstration that disrupts “business as usual”, which is to say which blocks commuters trying to get home, etc. just pisses off everyone stuck in traffic due to the demonstration. Add Mexican flags to it and it just feeds support for Trump.

This is not rocket science, but apparently many of these folks do not have a clue.

* No, not very smart. Mexican flags don’t really resonate with the American voter. It’s almost as if these demonstrators don’t actually know much about things of this sort.

This is like a classroom lab where we study what it is like to have a median IQ of about 92.5. Conclusion: You don’t really get what other people are thinking because you’re too damn stupid.

I think Griffe is right: the median IQ has to be above 105 for a group to have any semblance of functionality and civility in the modern world.

* Reminds me of the Million-Mexican March for immigration “amnesty” a decade ago in Los Angeles, which became a festival of La Raza strutting, taunting, and jeering while waving Mexican flags, almost calculated to brown off the American voters who the marchers were supposedly begging for favors.

* They don’t care about the visuals because they don’t care about America. That is how bad it is.

I sat next to a Latin American woman- completely pure European by looks – immigrant at dinner the other night. She absolutely admitted the US was a superior place to live, that her country was corrupt and did not work well and the US did work well or at least much better. She hated Trump. I said to her that Latin America really is dumping its poor population on us, and that population would not have an effect on her, or her wealthy husband and it did not directly hurt me but it did hurt the poor workers of the US who have to compete with ever more low end wage earners. And I realized, as I was speaking to her she did not care about poor workers of the US. She did not care about poor workers in her own country! why would she care about them in our country? But she can vote. And she will vote against Trump.

* Not to this extent but similar stuff occurred at the Trump rally in Fort Worth TX. The convention center grounds in downtown were filled mostly with very low key whites and driving around them, circling if you will, were these thuggish Mexican guys revving their trucks engines, honking their horns and brandishing Mexican Flags. Media seemed to be looking at everything else and I never saw coverage of it. Maybe because this was the event where Christie announced his endorsement (VP?), but I don’t think so. It was the most unnerving thing I had seen in a while and it might as well not have happened. Move along. Nothing to see here.

* Most Americans have no idea just how incredibly racist the Mexican upper class is, or how their racist mores permeate Mexican society. It’s been a number of years since I explored interior Mexico, but I remember that the billboard advertisements (Pasala SUPER!) were ALL gorgeous women with lily white skin. No diversity to be seen …. Why would they not have diversity in such ads? Because it doesn’t sell beer.

* One sure sign that the demonstration is an authentic Mexican expression and not a setup by Trumpsters is the presence of the chubby dude selling Mexican kewpie dolls and other knick-knacks in the top photo. Whenever there are more than 10 Mexicans gathered together anywhere those guys always appear selling their wares. That’s just a detail that would elude anybody in America’s political class because they stay as far away from Mexicans as they possibly can, Trumpsters included.

* A quick look at the LA Times and OC Register web sites show most of the pictures that show Mexican flags have been scrubbed. They did own up to most of the protesters being late-teens/early 20′s Latinos.

* Wow. The video of those hispanics amassing and converging on a pickup truck waiting at a stop light was terrifying. Imagine if there were kids in that truck. Jesus.

Those were some big fat skank lookin’ dudes. They weren’t like your average hispanic in California. Those were foreign-born hood rats. They looked fresh out of the rio grande. Not that long ago, it would be inconceivable that illegal aliens would actually riot in the streets of Costa fucking Mesa.

I remember when Costa Mesa was a nice, indescript little town. Nothing remotely of the kind ever went on there. Just horrendous.

From this day forward, before retiring, I will pray each night for Obama to suffer a stroke, leaving him without the memory of the english language, nor the ability to relearn it, so the rest of his wretched days are spent screaming at Michelle in guttural spanish.

* In Mexico there is a constant series of marches, demonstrations, parades, and protesters showing the public their attachment to one cause or another. It blocks busses and car traffic. Most days you can depend on the public transit but if there’s a manifestación you’re going nowhere.

The Mexico City Metro avoids the trouble, of course. It’s the best way to get across town anyway.

It might be the losing party in an election, the electrical workers’ union, the march for rights of women or indigenous people, students protesting something, or anything else. It’s just a part of the fabric of Mexican life that you show dissatisfaction by marching through town at rush hour.

I don’t find it charming and would prefer the authorities put a stop to it. I do get a little schadenfreude when the rich and heavily subsidized car drivers get stuck and we Metro riders have an easy time.

And sometimes the marchers are just tone deaf enough to march in the USA with Mexican flags. I don’t expect Americans will like it much as this practice grows and grows. But as there aren’t any Mexicans to speak of in swing states, it won’t affect the November results.

* One of the most redeeming qualities of Trump is his enemies. He is so terribly fortunate in his enemies.

I find Trump very distasteful and embarrassing, but when I see his enemies, my urge to vote for the man increases exponentially.

* I think it’s a mistake to build the wall where the border currently stands. It’s impossible to defend. We should mirror what the Israelis have done in Palestine and push the Mexicans into the area east of Coatzacoalcos and build a new cheaper, better border at the choke point running south of there. It’s a much gentler solution than using Panama as the choke point.

* You may try to swamp us with sheer numbers but remember; a disciplined band of well-organized, intelligent fighters will put to rout a disorganized rabble every time and every where. Remember the march of the Greek 10,000!

One white European is worth fifty sweatbacks in a fight. One day you will be marched back across the desert border in chains and we shall see how you celebrate then.

Mexico for Mexicans. America for Americans. My grandfather fought the cowardly Pancho Villa and hopefully, my grandchildren will fight yours. We could never bring Villa to battle because he ran around like the coward Mexicans males are, avoiding a direct confrontation at all costs. What a pathetic “hero” you blustering loudmouths worship.

Chicano Go Home! (and take your fat women with you).

* I guess freedom of speech and association are not bedrock values to Mexicans. Too bad we don’t have an American president these days, he would know what to do with foreign invaders attempting to threaten American freedoms and civil rights.

* If a black walks in front of one’s car — as several can be relied upon to do on any given drive through Detroit — you simply make it clear that you aren’t slowing, and they sensibly get out of the way. The average weight of these Mestizos appears to be well over three hundred pounds and without those all-important flags you might think it was a fat pride waddle. I would stop.
Several threads about this on fourchan last night, and all were characterized by people identifying as Hispanics and Mexicans, many with the IP-based national flag in their headers, saying how ashamed they were by this behavior.
The consensus was that this, like El Chapo’s brilliant idea of physically threatening American presidential candidates for having dared to call him a violent criminal, illustrates an under-appreciated reality for apoliticals and those Americans who have not followed the immigration story, and so helps Trump. A similar illustration was the classic Cartel massacre of eight members of an Ohio family tied to high-level marijuana growing: cartels behaving like cartels in Ohio will wake up people who had thought that Spanish-speaking areas could only be found in the South West.

* During the immigration battles of the 1990′s there were hordes of hispanics taking to the streets of Southern California and what the public saw was a sea of mexican flags. Then the popular radio personality Piolin (an illegal alien himself) told his listeners to leave the mexican flags at home and wave American flags instead. Apparently, either their forgetting that lesson or they are now so comfortable and arrogant they don’t think it matters.

* I worked in Las Vegas off and on between 1969 and 2004, and couldn’t get over how there were NO Mexicans, anywhere. Not even the laborers, waiters, busboys, or bar boys. It was all white kids from the local schools or guys who moved up from LA or from back East during a divorce. If a guy wanted to be a bartender, he had to be a bar boy 6 mo. per union rules. Musicians union also had a 6 mo wait period. There were lots of Jews and Italians..very few colored acts in the showrooms.

What a different world that was.

* Declaring victory is no different than declaring the debate is over, or the science is settled–reality is rarely accommodating to smug assertions. The need to do so is an indication of weakness.

* I am no expert in geography but it stands to reason there is likely to be within a landmass that has a ~2000 mile border where it currently stands and a ~50 mile width on the other end, that somewhere in the middle will be a better choke point than the 2000 mile one.

In this age open borders are promoted by both party establishments, which means that in practice, the border is not respected and people can move where they like and wave the flags of foreign governments. We should not at the same time play by “End of History” type rules where we cannot entertain fighting back with a similar lack of respect for borders. Let’s put it on the table. If it is ok for Israel, and it is ok for Russia, why is it not ok for the USA to look at doing the same thing?

And frankly, with the tacit encouragement of the burgeoning Chinese colony that is Shangcouver in the North – if the Canadians can’t govern like grownups in their own country, maybe the US should do it for them. As if President Zoolander would do anything about it, except send a strongly worded love letter.

* If Trump knows anything, it is that the key thing to understand about real estate is Location, Location, Location. I know with Mexico paying for the wall, cost is less an issue but still I think this merits some discussion if for nothing else than to move the Overton window.
