A protagonist in Evan Wright’s book "Generation Kill" is a Jewish sergeant named Brad Colbert.
I picked up the book after watching the HBO miniseries.
Evan writes on page 2: "Though he considers himself a "Marine Corps Killer," he’s also a nerd who listens to Barry Manilow, Air Supply and practically all the music of the 1980s except rap."
Colbert won’t allow the singing of country music in his humvee. He does not like Aaron Tippin’s "Where the Stars and Stripes and the Eagles Fly."
He says, "That song is straight homosexual country music, Special Olympics-gay."
