Cooranbong Days

A neighbor from childhood emails:

Hi There: I cant believe Ive discovered Luke Ford. I remember you as a little kid in Cooranbong so many years ago–I lived over the road from you at No 3 Alton Rd, the joint with all the tree’s in front. My grandmother who was the local barber raised me and my sister, you were about 5 or there abouts. I remember your sister, she was an athletic looking kid with nice skin and long hair. I remember your Mum well, and the old green and white split window Kombi that your Dad drove, later my girlfriend was nursing at the Sanitarium when your Mum passed. I remember your Dad pushing her about in a wheelchair–very devoted.

I also remember you living along the creek over from the Point. And then later Gill came along and we enjoyed her Sabbath school classes at the village church, your Dad introduced a breath of fresh air into the church so many years ago. I never miss an opportunity to go an hear the Gospel preached as only Des can do. He’s so loved by so many people.

So as I read your website I discover that your something else–still searching for words to describe you as your not the ordinary kinda bloke or guy as you yanks call anything that moves–often wondered what happened to the Ford kids–you grew up in the US and adopted this huge place as your homeland.
