When I quit writing on the porn industry in October of 2007, I had no debt and $6,000 in the bank.
Over the next five years, I took on $44,000 in credit card debt, $25,000 from my family, and another debt of $1,000, all so I could become a teacher of the Alexander Technique.
That has worked out so smashingly that I’ve been working as a secretary since April.
And what have I done with my earnings (aside from meeting my expenses and credit card payments)? I’ve ploughed them into taking a six-month class for $2,400 to create a solo show about my recovery from sex addiction. This is so classic Luke Ford. With money I owe my hard-working family, I’m getting on stage and pontificating for 70 minutes about what God has done in my life while we all know that if God had truly been in my life the past six months, I’d be paying down my debts and securing health insurance rather than aggrandizing myself with a pointless play and pumping myself full of Chinese herbs.
Now that we’ve got that out of the way, let me tell you about my feelings. They’re quite exquisite. They tend to rise and fall.
