I’m Thinking Of Trying Yoga

A friend suggests:

Yoga – My suggestion would be to:

  1. try Yogaworks – they have a two week special for new students, unlimited yoga for $30.    www.yogaworks.com

Take their level 1-2 classes, and don’t get discouraged after one lesson.  Try at least 3 or 4.  You may get hooked.

2.  Sacred Movement (wonderful), they’re having a one month unlimited special for new students for $50 (it doesn’t appear on their website, but if you go there and ask, you’ll find that they have it).  Same thing.  Take their level 1-2 classes.   http://www.exhalespa.com/locations/venice/

Of course you can do the two week yogaworks thing, and then the one month Sacred Movement thing, or vice versa, and then you can decide how you want to proceed.

When you go, make sure to take a towel, stretchy (but not loose) clothing, and don’t eat anything at least 2.5 hours before class.  They’ll give you a mat for the first time, or first few times, but you may ultimately want to buy one for yourself.
