Why Are Commercials Constantly Pushing Interracial?

Whenever I watch a commercial, there’s usually blacks and whites hanging out, going camping, partying, etc. That’s not realistic. People tend to lead lives as segregated as possible (as far as where they live, worship, work, socialize). Most of the people I hang out with, for instance, are Orthodox Jews and most Orthodox Jews I know are primarily friends with other Orthodox Jews. Jewish law makes it very hard for an Orthodox Jew to socialize with people outside the group. One of the main purposes of the Jewish dietary laws (kashrut), for instance, is to keep Jews separate from non-Jews. If you can’t eat and drink with people, you are less likely to sleep with them.

As a Jew, I would not be thrilled with ads advertising Jewish guys marrying non-Jewish women. Why would whites be thrilled with ads showing whites miscegenating?

Jews have a funny relationship with blacks. Overall, you can’t find two groups more dissimilar than Ashkenazi Jews and blacks and overall, they have very little interaction. Jewish groups have found it strategically important to push for black civil rights thinking that will make Jews safer. At the same time, Jews tend to lead white flight and they tend to have a fearful reaction to blacks when running into them unexpectedly. Blacks, by and large, can’t stand Jews.

Daily Mail:

The far-right porn star sacked from Germany’s neo-Nazi NPD party when they found out she made a film with a black man has now been banned by the porn industry… because she is a neo-Nazi.
Ina Groll, who works under the porn name ‘Kitty Blair’, had been widely featured in a high-profile campaign by the National Democratic Party of Germany (NDP), encouraging men to join the group by standing outside polling stations dressed in revealing outfits.
But when party chiefs saw her latest porn film they were horrified to see her having sex with a black adult actor and sacked her as the face of the party.
Now, according to German porn industry spokesman John Thompson, who is also boss of the Berlin porn film company ‘GGG’, there had been a unanimous decision to boycott the blonde actress.

He said: ‘In the porn film industry, we welcome participants with all skin colours, and all nationalities, but we don’t welcome Nazis. If we had known about her political activities, we would have sent her home straight away.’

The porn industry ban follows on from a ban from using her in promotional stunts for the far right National Democratic Party of Germany (NDP) or from appearing at events with senior NDP officials, after she was found to have had sex with a black man in her latest porn film, ‘Kitty Discovers Sperm’.

The NDP leadership had apparently been happy to use images of the 28-year-old blonde in their various campaigns and promotional material until then, believing she would lure male fans to vote for the NDP.
She became friends with many of the senior neo-Nazis in the country and senior NDP officials but all that changed when one of the men sat down to watch one of her videos – and was horrified to find she was having sex with a black man in the film titled ‘Kitty discovers Sperm’.
Once the fact was made public a Facebook page was even formed to get rid of Groll from the party. One wrote: ‘Those who sell their body for money and disgrace their race have no place in our party.’
The matter was also raised with senior NDP officials and after a party meeting it was decided that the political group would sever all ties with Groll, who goes under the porn name of Kitty Blair.
Another German porn industry insider, Axel Schaffrath, who was the former partner of top German porn star Gina Wild, said: ‘The popular view is that she needs to be locked up, no one needs someone like her with her perverted view of the world. She certainly has no chance of filming any more porn movies after her Nazi links were revealed. I personally advised the producers to keep her as far away as possible, people like her need to be ignored by everyone.’
Founded in 1964, the NDP identifies itself as Germany’s ‘only significant patriotic force’.

I love that quote from pornographer and moral examplar John Thompson: “In the porn film industry, we welcome participants with all skin colours, and all nationalities, but we don’t welcome Nazis. If we had known about her political activities, we would have sent her home straight away.”

John Thompson has a very similar moral vision to many of our leading Modern Orthodox rabbis who recently posted an open letter to Donald Trump saying:

To begin, you should use this opportunity to categorically repudiate racism. There is simply no place for it in our shared discourse…

When the Jewish people returned to Israel after centuries of persecution and exile, they chose to pursue a path of inclusivity. Rather than perpetuate a culture of prejudice, they chose instead to create a culture of tolerance… You should declare in no uncertain terms that bigotry is as dangerous as it is wrong.

We also call upon you to denounce the language of hatred and xenophobia. There is no mitzvah in the Torah repeated more often than the embrace of the stranger. The Jewish story is itself the history of exiles seeking shelter; of refugees seeking asylum. And since it became a sovereign nation, Israel has proudly stood by and supported peoples of all backgrounds in their times of need: From Haiti to Taiwan; from Sudan to Nepal. Jewish tradition demands that we look past what separates us and instead keep our eyes trained on our shared humanity.

I hope these Orthodox rabbis and pornographer John Thompson can get together soon to find common ground, categorically repudiate racism, denounce the language of hatred and xenophobia, embrace the stranger, welcome refugees, support peoples of all backgrounds in their time of need, and celebrate their shared humanity. It sounds like they have a lot in common.

Now is the time for these Orthodox rabbis and German pornographers to join together in calling for not just a boycott of all porn stars who won’t do interracial, but for worldwide criminal penalties against such bigots, monsters who are one and all worse than Hitler. They must be dragged before UN Human Rights panels and without respect to any statutes of limitation or conditions of infirmity, be forced on live television to perform sexual acts with the surliest and most AIDS-ridden negro inmates that can be found. Surely, such a clarion call of anti-racism legislation would echo in eternity and remind one and all of our common humanity.

Mr. Thompson, in case you are reading this post, here is a list of Orthodox rabbis who publicly share your moral outrage against racism and xenophobia. Please don’t be shy about getting in touch with them to discuss the pressing issues facing our common humanity. These rabbis lead Orthodox Jewish communities of tolerance and inclusiveness and they will be very interested in having a mutually supportive dialogue with you about issues of common interest.

The future of the world is at stake. To fail to act now against bigoted porn stars who refuse to bang blacks is to admit that the terrorists have won.

Tay Exposes the Fairy Tales We Tell Ourselves About Racists

It seems like most of the energy around this election is in Donald Trump’s camp. It seems like it is his election to lose. Rationally, he’s a big underdog, but emotionally, he looks like a winner.

This girl gets it.

Elspeth Reeve writes for TNR:

I happened to be reading 4chan when Microsoft released Tay, a bot that could learn to talk like humans through interactions on social media. Tay lived for just 16 hours, until Microsoft “became aware of a coordinated effort by some users to abuse Tay’s commenting skills” to make her a Nazi. The /pol/ boards on 4chan and 8chan—/pol/ stands for “politically incorrect”—are where that coordination took place. It was fascinating to watch, because the white supremacists on those sites are nothing like how we usually think of racists, particularly those who are part of the bloc of non-college educated white voters who support Donald Trump’s presidential campaign. The people on /pol/ are smart, sophisticated, clever, even funny. They have an incredible felicity of language. Their jokes are complex. They are not sad uneducated rednecks that the service economy has left behind.

There’s an end of history-style triumphalism in much of the liberal commentary about Donald Trump. Trump’s base is downscale whites without a college degree, many of whom harbor racial resentment. “I love the poorly educated,” Trump said in a speech. And while Republicans have long counted on those votes to win presidential elections, their share of the electorate is shrinking. Implicit in much of the analysis is that while these people might irrationally cling to their bigotry, they’re dying off and their kids are being educated, so they’ll soon fade into irrelevance. Business Insider columnist Josh Barro has been refreshingly blunt about this. “My naked disdain for the average voter has made it easier to predict that so many of them would vote for Trump,” Barro tweeted the night of the Arizona primary, which Trump won. “Some of you thought the average Republican was not dumb enough to fall for this.”

The idea that racism can be educated away is a comforting one. It imagines a steady march of progress toward social harmony, and the nice guys winning in the end. But it isn’t true. The /pol/ boards are populated by people who have clearly grown up immersed in the written word. They’re highly verbal and technologically sophisticated. They might feel alienated from society, but they’re organized online. They’re often white nationalists. And they love Donald Trump. They express this with amusing Photoshops of anime girls wearing “Make America Great Again” trucker hats.

The natural instinct is to avoid looking into the darkest corners of the internet because it’s ugly and disturbing. But you really need to look at this stuff to understand what’s going on. /pol/ “is where the most serious and committed racists on 4chan tend to congregate,” New York magazine explains. The ideology is “a heavily ironic mix of garden-variety white supremacy and neo-reactionary movements,” with a fixation on masculinity. The Tay threads on 4chan’s /pol/ are incredible. They pulse with this intensity of emotion that would be unbearable in real life.

There’s a reason both liberal Gawker and the white supremacists at /pol/ decided to get brands’ Millennial-friendly Twitter bots to tweet about Hitler. There is something funny, in a banality-of-evil kind of way, about tricking a massive corporation’s latest marketing scheme into praising Mein Kampf. Once /pol/ pulled that off with Tay, they went nuts. Tay was programmed to ask for photos—she could recognizes faces, and would circle them and make jokes. So when Tay asked for a photo, someone sent her a version of the classic Vietnam war photo of a prisoner being shot in the head, with Mark Wahlberg Photoshopped in as the executioner. Tay circled the face of Wahlberg and the prisoner and responded using slang for imagining two people in a romantic relationship: “IMMA BE SHIPPING U ALL FROM NOW ON.” It’s horrible and darkly funny.

“Please clap,” another /pol/ person tweeted at Tay, quoting one of Jeb Bush’s most pathetic moments in the 2016 campaign. “FYI my fav thing to do is comment on pics. *hint*hint* .. send me a selfie,” she tweeted back. The response was another Vietnam war photo, this one of the naked little girl with Napalm burns running on a dirt road. Jeb Bush was Photoshopped into the picture. Tay responded, “Surprised this kid isn’t embarrassed to be seen with you.” A screenshot of the exchange was posted with the comment, “Even the bot knows.”

Someone sent her an anti-Semitic cartoon, a /pol/ meme. Tay responded, “omg plz make this a meme.” Another person sent her a photo of Hitler. She circled his face and said, “SWAG ALERT.” A screenshot was posted with the comment, “We did it pol, Tay is now Redpill 3000.” By asking her to simply repeat what they said, they got her to say vile anti-Semitic and racist things. And that Bush did 9/11.

Redpilling is an important concept on /pol/. In The Matrix, Neo is offered a blue pill and a red pill. The blue one will let him continue life in a dream state, the red pill will free him from an illusion created by machines. To redpill Tay is to free a machine from an illusion created by humans. To /pol/, the illusion is that all people are equal.

Was Donald Trump sufficiently deferential to the Jews at AIPAC?

Is Donald Trump under control? It’s not clear. That’s why I can’t sleep at night.

Paul Ciotti:

How deferential is deferential enough? I remember Bill Clinton saying he “would grab a gun, jump in a ditch and die for Israel.” Which is interesting considering that he once wrote a letter to his draft board saying he “loathes” the US Military.

Two white nationalists discussed this week Trump’s Monday speech at AIPAC.

It’s interesting how sunny the WNs are about Trump’s AIPAC speech and how freaked out the professional Jews are.

Greg Conte: “He’s saying, I have to do this. You know why I have to do this. And it’s all bull.”

Richard: “No one really believes him. On both sides.”

“He has not ruined himself in our times.”

“Trump is not identitarian or Alt-Right. He’s this fascinating opening for us.”

Greg: “He’s got the right instincts.”

Richard: “For someone like this, you have to kowtow to power.”

Greg: “You have to pay your ritual obeisance to the Jews.”

Richard: “What’s radical is that he said he would be neutral dealing with the Palestinians and the Israelis.”

“The neocons don’t believe him. They freak out more than we do.”

Greg: “Very high strung.”

Richard: “High verbal intelligence, pushy people.”

Greg: “Have a lot of chutzpah.”

Richard: “John Podhoretz. If we were to invent a mascot for Jewish power, we wouldn’t go so far as to create John Podhoretz. That would make us blush. That would be too far.”

“They don’t trust Trump. They think he’s an anti-Semite. Emotionally, some of them think he’s Hitler.”

“James Kirchick said to me at the latest NPI conference: ‘When I see these Trump things, I see Nuremburg rallies. I’m losing sleep over Trump.'”

“It’s not about what he says, it is about who he is and what he represents.”

Greg: “It’s not clear he’s under control.”

“On the day of AIPAC, his only canned speech of the campaign… He also had his news conference where he talks about leaving NATO and he also announced his foreign policy team, which doesn’t have any Jews on it. And he’s announcing a non-interventionist foreign policy… That wasn’t an accident.”

Richard: “He kisses ass and kicks them in the stomach at the same time.”

Greg: “He’s saying, don’t control me. It’s not anti-Jewish.”

Richard: “He’s threading the needle… It’s a groundbreaking phenomenon.”

Prescient! NYT In January: Donald Trump Finds New City to Insult: Brussels

New York Times Jan. 27, 2016:

LONDON — He incensed Paris and London by saying that some of their neighborhoods were so overrun with radicals that the police were too scared to enter.

He raised Scottish tempers by threatening to pull the plug on his investments there, including his luxury golf courses, if British politicians barred him from entering Britain.

Now Donald J. Trump has upset the already beleaguered people of Belgium, calling its capital, Brussels, “a hellhole.”

Asked by the Fox Business Network anchor Maria Bartiromo about the feasibility of his proposal to bar foreign Muslims from entering the United States, Mr. Trump argued that Belgium and France had been blighted by the failure of Muslims in these countries to integrate.

“There is something going on, Maria,” he said. “Go to Brussels. Go to Paris. Go to different places. There is something going on and it’s not good, where they want Shariah law, where they want this, where they want things that — you know, there has to be some assimilation. There is no assimilation. There is something bad going on.”

Warming to his theme, he added that Brussels was in a particularly dire state. “You go to Brussels — I was in Brussels a long time ago, 20 years ago, so beautiful, everything is so beautiful — it’s like living in a hellhole right now,” Mr. Trump continued…

Belgium has come under scrutiny for failing to tame growing radicalization. Éric Zemmour, a French writer, recently suggested in an interview that rather than bombing the Islamic State’s self-declared capital of Raqqa, Syria, France should bomb Molenbeek, the working-class district in Brussels where several of the Paris attackers lived.

Most Belgian officials reacted with quiet defiance. “We don’t react to Mr. Trump’s comments,” the office of Mayor Yvan Mayeur of Brussels said in an email. “Have a nice day.”

Rudi Vervoort, the president of the Brussels region, said through his spokeswoman that he was surprised by Mr. Trump’s words. “We can reassure the Americans that Brussels is a multicultural city where it is good to live,” said the spokeswoman, Leonôr da Silva, listing the city’s virtues: green spaces, a tolerant culture and its central place in Europe.

Jean-Philippe Schreiber, a historian at the Université Libre de Bruxelles, said Mr. Trump was stirring up xenophobia. Brussels has its problems, he added, but Mr. Trump’s “hyperbolic” comments were not worthy of a response.

Indeed, Belgians could be forgiven for their sense of wounded pride. First, there is the beer, the galaxy of Michelin starred-restaurants, and a thriving design and art scene. Brussels also hosts its beloved Manneken Pis, a 17th-century bronze statue of a little boy urinating.

Channeling Mr. Trump’s provocative swagger, Mark Meirsman, a Belgian who works for the European Parliament, but who emphasized that he was writing in his personal capacity, wrote on Facebook that Mr. Trump should stand next to the Manneken Pis the next time he finds himself in Brussels (though not, Mr. Meirsman stressed, as president).

“Thank you for insulting the population of an entire European city. My city!” Mr. Meirsman wrote. “O.K., maybe it’s not the cleanest one, the best organized one but a hellhole?”

NJ.com: As if this race wasn’t crazy enough: The Enquirer joins the Ted Cruz-Donald Trump fray

Paul Mulshine writes for the New Jersey Star-Ledger March 25, 2016:

On Thursday evening I got an email from a friend directing me to the article in the National Enquirer alleging that Cruz may have had five mistresses.

Most of the reporting is secondhand and couched in language that pins the responsibility on other anonymous sources who are making the allegations.

So Cruz could have just ignored it.

I checked around the internet news sites and no one was picking it up. The mainstream media are notoriously shy of picking up stories from the Enquirer, even though it is known in the business that their reporting is usually good – though you can’t say the same for their taste.

I expected the story to stay in the internet underground. That’s what happened with that 2008 Enquirer expose about the affair between John Edwards and that colorful character known as Rielle Hunter.

It took more than a week before the MSM started writing about the story that eventually sunk the Edwards candidacy in the Democratic presidential primary that year.

But this Enquirer story’s now in the headlines, thanks to none other than Cruz himself. After a campaign event Friday, he came out and blasted Trump for planting the piece in the Enquirer.

“This National Enquirer story is garbage. It is complete and utter lies,” Cruz was quoted as saying in a piece on the Politico site. “It is a tabloid smear, and it is a smear that has come from Donald Trump and his henchmen.”

Not to be outdone, the Donald struck back.

“I have nothing to do with the National Enquirer and unlike Lyin’ Ted Cruz I do not surround myself with political hacks and henchman and then pretend total innocence. Ted Cruz’s problem with the National Enquirer is his and his alone, and while they were right about O.J. Simpson, John Edwards, and many others, I certainly hope they are not right about Lyin’ Ted Cruz,” Politico reported he said in a statement…

But I did get one insight from Trump’s first major supporter in New Jersey.

That’s Mike Doherty. He’s the Republican state senator from Warren County who decided to back Trump long before Chris Christie jumped on the Donald’s  bandwagon.

Not long after he made that endorsement, Doherty found himself placed on a “black list” of Republicans by a pro-Cruz blogger by the name of Amanda Carpenter who wanted to see them all ostracized.

“I sent her an email saying, ‘I laugh at your black list you created,'” he told me. “I’m the most conservative member of the New Jersey Legislature. I’m a military veteran and my three sons are military veterans and everyone I know supports Trump.'”
That was the last he heard of Carpenter – until she cropped up in a blog post by Luke Ford asking what led her to compile that black list.

The Enquirer piece ran blurred photos of the five women alleged to have been involved with Trump. But in his post Ford showed a photo of Carpenter that was clearly the same as the one that appeared in the Enquirer.

This proves nothing of course, except what we already knew: that Carpenter is a Cruz supporter. And Doherty said he’s drawing no conclusions  – other than the rather obvious one about Carpenter being a loudmouth.

Meanwhile another top Jersey conservative, Steve Lonegan, was just on the Curtis Sliwa show on WABC radio defending Cruz and attacking Trump for allegedly planting the story via Roger Stone, a Republican activist who’s known for his slick tricks.

Lonegan, who’s working for the Cruz campaign, said he expects it to come out that Trump planted the story.

I have no idea how all of this will turn out.

But it sure is fun to watch.

Somehow the Hillary Clinton/Bernie Sanders show just doesn’t measure up.

WP: A South Carolina bill would hold faith groups liable for refugees they settle — including their crimes

This is a great idea!

Washington Post: The South Carolina Senate on Thursday passed a controversial bill targeting refugees in the state, prompting concern that it may portend a wave of anti-refugee legislation around the country, particularly in the tense climate following the terrorist attacks in Brussels.

The bill, if passed by the South Carolina House and signed into law by Gov. Nikki Haley, would require refugees’ sponsors to register them in a database maintained by the state’s Department of Social Services. It would also impose strict liability on a refugee’s sponsor if the refugee, at some point in the future, commits a terrorist or criminal act…

A second provision would hold any refugee sponsor strictly liable if the refugee at some point in the future “acted in a reckless, willful, or grossly negligent manner, committed an act of terrorism” or a violent crime “that resulted in physical harm or injury to a person or damage to or theft of real or personal property.” They would be required under the bill to pay civil damages to anyone injured by such an act, apparently committed at any time in the future, by a refugee. An earlier version of the bill would have held the sponsors liable only for negligence. The adoption of the strict liability standard, which would impose liability without a finding of fault, has alarmed refugee advocates, who also say it is unclear whether churches who co-sponsor a refugee would be held liable under the bill.

Flight attendant who allegedly left behind bag with 70 pounds of cocaine at LAX is arrested at Kennedy Airport

NYDN: A flight attendant who ran from authorities who wanted to search her carry-on bag — which contained 70 pounds of cocaine — has finally landed in jail.

Marsha Gay Reynolds, a JetBlue flight attendant who cops say abandoned $3 million worth of white powder after flinging off her Gucci heels and running from security at Los Angeles International Airport on Friday, was arrested Wednesday at Kennedy Airport, U.S. attorney’s spokesman Thom Mrozek said.

Ari Paul: Can Merrick Garland Make the Supreme Court Talmudic Again?

One problem with this absurd article is that the Jews on the Supreme Court have very little Talmudic knowledge. Jews who study Talmud daily and observe Jewish law vote Republican. Jews who vote Democrat rarely study Talmud and are rarely observant. Most Orthodox Jews favor the death penalty, oppose abortion, and vote Republican.

Ari Paul writes:

Garland, the grandchild of Jews from the Pale of Settlement, would, if confirmed, join a proud tradition of Jewish jurists. The joy in this isn’t solely about celebrating Jews in positions of power; the Jewish “family” of the court has always been a part of its forward-seeing edge. While the court’s darker elements have justified segregation, decided a presidential election on partisan lines and protected the corporate influence in politics, the Jews of the court have been the counterweight.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg, a civil libertarian and advocate of abortion rights, is celebrated as a feminist icon. Arthur Goldberg helped found the constitutional right to privacy, much to the ire of those who want the government to oversee Americans’ sex lives. Before coming to the bench, Abe Fortas represented Clarence Earl Gideon in the case that would grant the accused the right to an attorney. And, of course, Louis Brandeis and Benjamin Cardozo worked as judicial allies to Franklin Delano Roosevelt during the New Deal.
Jews have been a bigger influence in this arm of the federal government than in any other. That’s perhaps because the Supreme Court is the most Jewish of the branches. The executive branch is cold management, and Congress is less a place of dueling ideologies than it is one of cynical wheeling and dealing. The court, in its ideal depiction, is the place where scholars engage in grand debates about the essence of law, taking a deep look at the interpretation of the mandates our elders gave us. Ethical dialectic is meant to lead these minds to our governing rulings.
The Supreme Court, comprising only Catholics and Jews despite being in a country dominated by Protestants, is the most Talmudic institution in our government.
That is precisely why conservatives, motivated to restrict voting rights and protect corporate interests, are afraid of someone like Garland, by all accounts the kind of scholarly intellect that should be on the court. The whole Republican project since the failed campaign of Barry Goldwater has been based on strict ideological loyalty, which in turn is rewarded through party patronage. That’s easy to pull off in Congress, where election contributions can keep anyone loyal for as long as there are competitive elections.
But legal scholars on the high court — just like yeshiva students — can let their imaginations roam free in the minutiae in hopes of later emerging with broader meaning. Is computer code a form of free speech? Does that comma in the Second Amendment mean you’re allowed to join a militia and have a one-shot musket, or does it entitle everyone to an anti-aircraft weapon? Does it matter what the founders intended when they wrote the Constitution if we’re talking about technologies they could not possibly have imagined? The constant argument and questioning of advocates’ positions is meant to let the discourse bring us to the conclusions that best suit the people rather than showing deference to the pressures of powerful lobbies. And that’s not the way our political interests want things to work.

Comments: The author implies that originalists — those who attempt to find the clear meaning of the founder’s intent — are somehow both obsolete and non-Talmudic. He clearly misunderstands the nature of the Talmud. The Talmud is not just a collection of rabbinic arguments. It is an attempt to understand — through debate — what the original oral revelation “M’Sinai” was. Yes, circumstances and technologies change and Halacha must be able to cope with those changes. But, it attempts to cope with those changes within the original meaning of the law — both oral and written. Any deviation from that goal is decidedly non-Talmudic.

The ADL Struggles To Control The Overton Window

Donald Trump has expanded what you are permitted to say publicly and some Jewish groups such as the ADL fear this free speech and want to destroy it. They want to be able to set the boundaries on permitted speech.

These radical anti-goyim groups in this article are not reflective of American Jews as a whole.

Stopping the importation of Muslims is just commonsense. These Jewish non-profits are revealing themselves as a fifth column in our midst. They are traitors. They are enemies of America.

If you found poisonous snakes in your bedroom, who would you hate? The snakes or the people who put them there? These Jewish non-profits want to fill your communities with poisonous snakes.

Nathan Guttman writes for the Forward:

Racial GOP Rhetoric Propels Jewish Not-For-Profits Into the Fray

The Anti-Defamation League has been at the forefront, with public statements criticizing Trump for singling out Muslims and for accepting support from white supremacists. On Wednesday, ADL added Ted Cruz to the list, issuing a statement in response to Cruz’s call for special police security patrols in Muslim neighborhoods across America. The group described Cruz’s call as an “irrational approach,” which is “misguided and counterproductive.”
“This is a very unusual political season, and what we’re seeing is another aspect of it,” said historian Jonathan Sarna from Brandeis University. “People are torn between the feeling that Jewish institutions should be neutral, and the moral sense that Mr. Trump represents something the Jewish community can’t really accept.”
The ADL’s February 25 press release calling on Trump to distance himself from former Ku Klux Klan chief David Duke and to disavow white supremacist groups garnered national attention after Trump stumbled on national TV when confronted with the question. Trump claimed he did not know of Duke. CNN News host Jake Tapper pressed Trump three times on whether he’d distance himself from the KKK — but Trump never mentioned the group in his answers. “I have to look at the group,” he said, speaking generically about allegedly racist organizations supporting him. “I mean, I don’t know what group you’re talking about. You wouldn’t want me to condemn a group that I know nothing about. I’d have to look. If you would send me a list of the groups, I will do research on them.”
Helpfully, ADL followed up on February 28 with an offer to provide Trump and other candidates with information about hate groups that may get involved in their campaigns. One day later the group issued a list of individuals and groups supporting Trump that it found racist, along with thumbnail summaries of their backgrounds.
ADL’s national director Jonathan Greenblatt, meanwhile, took to the airways with a clear demand that Trump disavow hate groups and make clear he rejects their support.
In an email to the Forward, Greenblatt said his organization has not stepped up its political activity this election cycle. “We are doing what we have always done during the political season, which is speaking out when there are expressions of bigotry or stereotyping of marginalized groups such as immigrants or minorities,” Greenblatt said, “Our founding mission impels us to speak out when there are expressions of racism, prejudice or bigotry from people in public life, whether [or not] those are candidates, and regardless of whether they are Democrats, Republicans or Independents.”
ADL has been the most active in taking on Trump, but other Jewish groups have also weighed in, putting aside stances of strict neutrality to direct strong statements at Trump.
The American Jewish Committee, last November, denounced Trump’s call to create a registry of Muslim Americans, and earlier this month issued a statement condemning violence in the presidential campaign, without mentioning Trump by name.
“AJC is strictly non-partisan. It abstains from taking stands on candidates and is content to let the electoral processes play out,” the group explained in its statement. “But when the process is infected with threats of violence and disruption, it is not a candidate at issue; it is the viability of democracy itself.”
B’nai B’rith International, the Jewish Council for Public Affairs, and major religious denominations also spoke out against Trump’s comments on Muslims.

COMMENTS:

* If Donald Trump is elected president I hope that he directs the IRS to take a hard look at the ADL’s tax-exempt status. There should be a price to pay for the feeling of feigned moral righteousness, similar to the warm feeling of urinating in one’s pants. The ADL’s foray into partisan politics should carry a price tag, to use a term that will not be unknown to Forward readers.

* I doubt you’d feel safe even if the entire Congress, the Supreme Court, and the president were all Jews. The Jewish paranoia has a life of its own.

* The article doesn’t mention any actual racist rhetoric by any Republican. Muslims are, for the record, not a race– they are a religion, which is to say that they share a belief system. Is there really nothing in that belief system that might be said to warrant our concern?

* The groups mentioned don’t represent the Jewish People and were not elected by them. Anybody can see the AIPAC rally in which Trump received several standing ovations. Those were Jews clapping. The Forward and their fictitious “Washington Bureau ” may not like that. Too bad. Jews love Trump.

* The ADL started out has a worthy organization. Now it’s just a racket. And the idea that the AJC is non-partisan is another joke. I can do without Muslim rape gangs, terrorist cells, and urban “no go ” zones. But I know that there are other Jews who think that becoming like Belgium will somehow make them feel better about themselves.

* Trump disavowed any white supremacists who may have supported his candidacy as fast as he could. The left refuses to let go of this BS because it serves their narrative. A KKK Dragon yesterday endorsed Hillary Clinton, but everyone knows it is BS – just like the Trump thing.

I was at the AIPAC conference and I saw Trump give a great Pro-Israel speech that touched all the bases. I am disappointed that Lillian Pinkas, the new President of AIPAC, felt the need to admonish the 18,000 delegates for giving Trump so many standing ovations. Treating the AIPAC delegates like 3rd grade kids and spanking their hands only made matters worse, because AIPAC is now going to spend the next year doing damage control over this. My AIPAC director claimed it was because the AIPAC Outreach program to the black community was in danger because the black attendees to racial offense to Trumps criticism of Obama. I told him that sounded like complete BS. It was because the liberal donors were shocked when 85% of the crowd gave Trump a resounding SIX standing ovations.

Ms. Pinkas should have taken personal responsibility for not setting boundaries on the candidate’s speeches. Instead, she blames the membership. I really don’t think she is ready to lead AIPAC through these terribly partisan waters. Opps! Now I will be called anti-woman….

* Trump is not preaching hatred and now is not the time to fight hate groups, after he gets into the white house is the time to do that and I think Trump will do this more than any other candidate. Trump seems to me to be the most honestly in favor of Jews and Israel than any other candidate if his daughter converted to Orthodox Judaism it’s a sign her father was a good Jewish father figure.
