Was Benjamin Netanyahu’s Meeting With Donald Trump Another Case of Electoral Meddling?

J.J. Goldberg writes: The prime minister regards handling Israel’s international relations as one of his strong suits. And indeed, after meeting Donald Trump Sunday morning and Hillary Clinton that afternoon, he was able to assure Israeli citizens, as he told Army Radio, that “no matter the election results, we will have a friend in the White House.”

The last time he tried this was before America’s 2012 election. That was when he publicly embraced Republican candidate Mitt Romney and infuriated the sitting president, Barack Obama, a Democrat. Romney proceeded to lose the election, of course, and the prime minister was left with a sworn enemy in the White House.

That’s why Netanyahu insisted this time, after agreeing to a get-acquainted meeting with Trump, that Clinton be added to his schedule. Not that he needed to get acquainted with Clinton. They’ve known each other since his first term as prime minister, when she was first lady. More recently, she spent countless hours as secretary of state jawboning him, trying to advance a vision of peace that he didn’t share. They know each other all too well.

No, the main purpose of Netanyahu’s Sunday meet-the-candidates program was to give Trump an opportunity to look presidential. In a week when 100-plus world leaders were gathered in New York for the United Nations General Assembly, dozens wanted to touch base with the former secretary of state. Only two took the time to meet with Trump: Netanyahu and Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah a-Sisi.

Nearly as important to Trump, meeting with the Israeli leader should help score points with pro-Israel conservatives in the Jewish and Evangelical communities. Trump’s poll numbers are strong in both of those voting blocs, but the support is uneasy. Both groups are giving him strong backing primarily because he’s not a Democrat and won’t appoint liberals to the Supreme Court. But he’s not exactly a Republican either, at least in the normal sense of the word. Among his widest deviations from GOP doctrine are on foreign policy, abortion and gay rights. Those happen to be the top priorities of Jewish and Evangelical conservatives. Accordingly, a photo op with Prime Minister Netanyahu is worth its weight in super PAC donations.

The actual content of the two meetings was decidedly secondary.

The Ultimate Jewish headline: “Hillary Clinton Is a Flawed Candidate — Just Like God”

Chaim Amalek: I’ll go one up on you: “. . . Except that Hillary is Real”

“Rabbi Avraham Bronstein has served at The Hampton Synagogue and Great Neck Synagogue and is a frequent writer and speaker on contemporary issues in Jewish thought.”

He writes: “The rabbis, according to Weiss, rejected an imperial conception of a God who is always correct and rules dictatorially, in favor of a God with whom we might experience the depth and power of an intimate covenantal relationship. A month after Rosh Hashanah, we should do the same when we choose our president.”

Was Burlington Mall Shooter Another Low-IQ Muslim Weirdo?

NEWS: A 20-year-old Turkish Muslim named Arcan Cetin has been arrested in Oak Harbor Washington for the murder of five people in the Burlington Mall Shooting.

Comments:

* His twitter and two tumblrs (still online right now) indicate not a guy who follows ISIS, but just another violent low-IQ Muslim weirdo.

There are not too many posts, but they include a childhood photo of Ted Bundy, a picture of Mein Kampf, a picture of Turkish food, a picture of him posing in the mirror wearing orange brief underwear, etc.

He looks like he’s sub-80 IQ.

I wonder if talking about how we should “stop Muslim terrorism” is in a way a dog-whistle for saying we just need to not have Muslim-origin people in the country. For every real terrorists, we get 300 losers like this guy.

Having Muslims in your community simply degrades it, no matter what their personal political views.

Muslims present a double-whammy of cultural and genetic based problems for the West, excluding perhaps Malaysians and elite Indians.

We are stuck with those who are citizens and most of those who are lawful permanent residents, so yes hoping for a quick and complete assimilation is the best we can do.

There are many, many more “Muslims who are already here” who should be excluded “from the circle of American life,” in particular illegals and asylum-claiming migrants here on TPS status.

We ought to give Ethiopia $1.5 billion a year to establish a puppet government in part of Somalia we can deport people to and require to be the home of “refugees” who want to come here.

* Rush asked his listeners how they thought Trump should handle it if Hillary were to have one of her coughing fits during the debate or collapse on stage. A woman caller, who took the question very seriously, said that Trump should respond to a coughing fit by waiting patiently for it to be over, not say anything, not react facially, but just let the audience soak it in. In the event of Hillary collapsing, she said he should take command and tell the moderator to please call 911.

Rush listened attentively, then asked, “Can you foresee any circumstances in which he would be required to administer mouth-to-mouth resuscitation?”

What Is Hillary’s Health Problem?

From American Thinker:

Other doctors have also pointed out how the photo-op undercut the “pneumonia” explanation. “I’m feeling great,” Hillary said three times, not something a pneumonia patient is likely to exclaim.

4. Apart from a case of “mild non-contagious pneumonia,” what felled Clinton on September 11th, wrote Bardack, was that “she became overheated and dehydrated.” Even MSM reporters questioned the “overheated” pretext. The day was partly cloudy and the temperature about 80, with a slight breeze. Dehydration is hardly less suspicious. First of all, it’s been used repeatedly for other falls. And medical science has come up with a cure for dehydration. While Marco Rubio was ridiculed for taking a swig of water in the middle his reply to the President’s 2013 State of the Union address, no one who valued his job would criticize Hillary for “re-hydrating” during an event. One would expect that someone who had experienced multiple falls and was on Coumadin would take every precaution to avoid dehydration — especially when it’s such a simple matter.

5. If Hillary’s dramatic recovery casts doubt on Bardack’s diagnosis, so does the fall itself. It was not a swoon, as one might expect, where Clinton appeared woozy, lost consciousness, and her knees buckled. Instead, she becomes stiff and immobile. She is propped up against a bollard. It’s only when the Secret Service agents attempt to propel her forward that she falls. It’s not clear she’s lost conscious; she is just frozen, unable to move.

6. Pictures taken of Clinton en route to the van also undermine Bardack’s explanation. In one, Hillary is being given what appears to be a finger squeeze test.

The test is a neurological exam, sometimes used also as a test for arthritis. There would be no reason to administer it to a patient suffering from pneumonia.

In the second photo, the same woman, Christine Falvo, appears to be monitoring Clinton’s pulse as they walk. Hillary has her other hand pressed against her chest, an unusual position for someone in motion, but a good way to disguise the pill-rolling tremor associated with Parkinson’s disease.

Also present in the photos, inevitably, is the bulky African-American Secret Service agent who clearly has had some medical training. When Hillary froze during a speech on August 4, it was he who rushed to her side, put his hand on her back, kept repeating, “Keep talking, keep talking,” and then shooed away the other agents. Some sites have posted pictures of him holding what appears to be a diazepam injector, used for seizures, but the images are too blurry to positively identify the object.

There is no photo of either the Secret Service medic or Falvo offering the dehydrated Hillary a bottle of water.

7. Bardack’s 2015 letter mentioned the Fresnel prism glasses Hillary wore to eliminate double vision. The 2016 letter makes no mention of the Zeiss Z1 blue lenses she was wearing on September 11th. These are used to help prevent seizures, particularly in photosensitive epilepsy, and improve motor control. They are not normally prescribed for patients with pneumonia or seasonal allergies.

8. Also unmentioned by Bardack are Hillary’s repeated coughing episodes, going back at least to January of this year. Here’s video of eight. Has Clinton had pneumonia for nine months? Or is this a symptom of a neurodegenerative problem causing pulmonary aspiration?

9. Finally, the fact that Hillary was not rushed to a hospital after the collapse and given another CT suggests that her handlers knew exactly what was going on. And it wasn’t pneumonia.

The physician who has put forward the most plausible case that Hillary is suffering from Parkinson’s disease is Dr. Ted Noel, whose videos I linked in a recent blog post.

Though there’s been no sign so far of the pill-rolling tremor or the shuffling gait characteristic of Parkinson’s, other evidence suggests Clinton is suffering from the disease, or experiencing side effects associated with the drug most commonly used to manage it, levodopa, which include disorientation and confusion and dyskinesia (involuntary muscle movements).

Examples of the latter are Clinton’s spasmodic head movements while being questioned by several reporters (attributed by Hillary to her cold chai tea) and, less dramatically, her response to the light show at the end of the Democratic convention.

Dr. Noel has a newer video out that further undercuts Bardack’s credibility. In addition to mentioning Wolf’s point about CT angiography, he carefully describes problems with the oxygen saturation levels reported by Hillary’s physician, and her use of an outdated test to manage Clinton’s hypothyroidism.

If she doesn’t have Parkinson’s, Hillary clearly has some major neurological disorder.

Bardack has already been targeted by Google reviewers. Purportedly coming from Chelsea is a one-star rating and the comment, “My mother died of Parkinson’s after she was diagnosed with pneumonia.”

Lisa Bardack will be fortunate if satiric reviews are the worst consequences for the disinformation campaign she has helped wage in Hillary’s behalf.

Wall Street Money Going 99-1 For Hillary

FoxNews: Wall Street for Hillary?:Clinton has $48.5M in hedge fund backing, compared to Trump’s $19K

Comments at Steve Sailer:

* In the mid-1990s, I freaked out the senior management of my bank by showing them several pages of FEC records showing their contributions to various (sometimes surprising) candidates. They knew this stuff was public record, but up until then they had not grasped just how easy it was to get this data. I guess the banking world has gotten over their discomfort with being affiliated with the Clintons since then.

* Capitalist propaganda portrays capitalism’s tendency to push disparate peoples together while weakening the hold of their traditional beliefs systems as an advantage, not a defect. Refer to Voltaire’s famous observation from the early 18th Century:

“Go into the London Stock Exchange – a more respectable place than many a court – and you will see representatives from all nations gathered together for the utility of men. Here Jew, Mohammedan and Christian deal with each other as though they were all of the same faith, and only apply the word infidel to people who go bankrupt. Here the Presbyterian trusts the Anabaptist and the Anglican accepts a promise from the Quaker. On leaving these peaceful and free assemblies some go to the Synagogue and others for a drink, this one goes to be baptized in a great bath in the name of Father, Son and Holy Ghost, that one has his son’s foreskin cut and has some Hebrew words he doesn’t understand mumbled over the child, others go to their church and await the inspiration of God with their hats on, and everybody is happy.”

* It was always in Wall Street’s best interest to buy out the dems, not the Republicans. The Republicans are already pro-Wall Street as a matter of ideology. No need to buy them out.

* Thanks for the pro-tip, Captain Obvious. No, in seriousness this is good point, but one I’ve been pondering for a couple years now and think deserves deeper analysis.

This is similar to Jewish/Israeli positioning with regard to the two major parties, which I started thinking about when I read a clunker of a NYT op-ed by a former Mossad honcho on how wonderful! Democrats are on Israel, complete with effusive praise for Jimmy Carter. I mean, sure, Carter was OK 30 years ago, but you can’t mean the same Kreepy Khristian who now runs around saying Zionism is Apartheid, can you? But surely Mr. Mossad big-wig is smart enough to know this, and so what he was doing was not trying to “win” any sort of argument (for there can be no “victory” in a two-party democracy) but simply, like any competent lobbyist, hedge his bets by flattering the more anti-Israel political party so that Israel would never lose an effective avenue of access no matter who the current occupant of the White House happened to be. A “vibrant” candidate like Hillary (corrupt and venal enough to be easily controlled, personally philo-Semitic, and holding the whip-hand in the political party to which the bulk of BDS-types ultimately conclave, with enough diversity Pokemon points for supposedly being a womyn to shut-up any upstart cishet Palestinian man) is ideal from the Israeli stand-point, and I honestly think they’d have a much warmer relationship with her than a President Trump, for fear that too-close an association with him would make Israel irredeemably toxic to progressives. I somehow suspect that if a modern von Neumann worked out the numbers on it, the current status quo of a rabidly pro-Israel, neocon Republican party getting only 30% of the Jewish vote but sizeable donations, while a much more ambivalent at the grass-roots level Democratic party getting 70% is somehow a global maximum from a game theoretic standpoint.

Is Baseball Too White?

Are shuls too Jewish? Are churches too Christian? Is Hollywood too Jewish? Is the NBA too black?

Slate editor Josh Levin writes:

From the moment he made his debut for the Marlins, he ignored the fusty expectation that players—often young, Latino players—dial back their exuberance lest they annoy their tight-assed opponents. At age 24, he’d already started to modernize the game’s old-fashioned codes and what it meant to “play the game the right way.”

Steve Sailer notes: “So Levin got his facts backwards: rather than the tight-assed Americanos objecting to the fun-loving Latino’s natural exuberance, the Latino objected earlier to an American showing off.”

Comments at Steve Sailer:

* Mr. Levin would no doubt scoff the suggestion, but if you follow his line of reasoning it leads to only one place:

First he approvingly cites the diminution in the percentage of white players in MLB, then he says he looks forward to a world where “everyone” acts like he assumes all the “Latino” (meaning non-white) players do.

He’s looking forward to a world with no white people.

* And people wonder why the Alt-Right is so huge.

* It is racist – it’s a racist dog whistle demeaning white Gentiles.

* So, (((Josh Levin))) thinks baseball is “too white,” eh? Then maybe he’d be happier in Israel, watching Tel Aviv play Haifa…

* I wish it was more than a small minority of non-megaphoned Jews (like me) who realized that anti-white activism is not a good thing.

* Check out Lion of the Blogosphere, Pragmatically Distributed, the Jewish Right, Spotted Toad, and the Wandering Alt Right Jew. I’ll add @MisterLomez and @jewrightwing (Joshua Seidel) on Twitter, as well as myself @Mischling4Trump

* It’s shocking how anti-white some of these journalists are.

* Call me deplorable, but it seems that Josh Levin is using Jose Fernandez’s tragic death to accuse white players of ruining baseball with their boring rules and unbearable whiteness.

* If that is what he seeks, and he wants to experience it in his lifetime, maybe he should emigrate to one of the many parts of the planet without those pesky Europeans.

* Saying that Jose Fernandez had the potential to make the Hall of Fame given his very short service time is pretty asinine.

Josh Levin’s schtick is apparently to be as insolent as possible, because he knows there won’t be any retaliation, thus Fernandez is “striking out fools” and people who don’t like acting out are “tight asses” and “both teams pretended to want to fight each other.”

In other words, he writes like someone whose experience in life is pretty much restricted to the internet.

In real life, and especially in competitive sports, you actually can send people into a rage, fury, etc. and then people actually do get hurt. And I’m pretty sure that Latin players understand this (as indeed the details of the game indicate as much.) I think the risk of violence is actually even worse in baseball because there are no outlets for aggression otherwise, as in football, basketball, soccer or hockey. Also in baseball you spend a huge amount of time required to be alert and ready to act but the entire action of a 3 hour baseball game is perhaps 20-30 minutes. This is because the pitcher sets the pace. That is bound to generate a lot of tension.

By the same token, as I have said before, MLB is a way to make a career now, there aren’t any players who are selling cars for six months of the year and then playing baseball for $10 K. It’s a big money sport. That’s why the various rulings in recent years about not sliding at the catcher or trying to target the 2B/SS on a play at second base. It’s not about making the game softer, it’s about making it safer for people trying to make careers.

As for Bautista, it looks like he’s made a career out of being “flamboyant” in this way. I can understand it for a franchise that hasn’t won anything in awhile. But it doesn’t win games or win championships, and the in your face stuff gets tiresome after a short while.

* According to Slate’s Levin; “From the moment he made his debut for the Marlins, he ignored the fusty expectation that players—often young, Latino players—dial back their exuberance lest they annoy their tight-assed opponents.”

Yeah, and it appears as though he brought the same “exuberance” to his game on the water. Anyone who “ignored the fusty expectation[s]” of long-established rules of seamanship and smashed his boat at full speed into a rock jetty at three in the morning just got b*tch-slapped by Reality.

You know, I am a boater down here in Florida and I deal with morons like Fernandez everyday on the Intracoastal. These are guys who don’t know a bowline from a bow line. Good Riddance to bad rubbish. One less idiot whose wake I have to avoid. Thank you, Darwin.

He found out the hard way that the Sea is a Harsh Mistress and a lot less accommodating of tomfoolery than Slate’s editors. There’s a reason that good skippers are so “tight-assed” and its because out on big water, the game is for keeps.

* Love his projecting some kind of aggression on the part of this baseball player. There’s been a cottage industry for almost a century of leftist writers who project all the id-based, violent, insurrectionist gestures on minorities that they themselves are too cowardly to do. Noble savage stereotypes, indeed.

* That is what makes reading Derb so frustrating. He has a strong negativity to Christianity that he is never afraid to voice. Then he goes on and on about his pessimism, much of which if you scratch below the surface has a (((Levin))) or two causing havoc, but will rarely mention it. And if he does it is always prefaced by how many Jewish friends he has.

Mr. Sailer just states the facts about the (((Levin’s))) and does not bash Christianity.

* There’s nothing I find all that bothersome about this Slate article. It’s the “journalism student at the college newspaper trying to impress his professor” writing style that’s it’s own parody. Injecting race victimhood into any and every story (even stories concerning rich and famous athletes) is the cliche of modern writers, kind of like geeky narration overdubs were part of most early 1950′s crime and noir films. Writers like this are putting their chronological postmark on everything they write, so future generations can see how unimaginative and era specific they were.

* An Hispanic Cuban pitcher dies in a boat wreck, and a Jew lectures us about black people and white people.

Ain’t that America?

WP: ‘These charts show exactly how racist and radical the alt-right has gotten this year’

Jews who hate gentiles are more likely to strongly identify as Jewish than Jews who don’t hate gentiles.

Blacks who hate whites are more likely to strongly identify as black than blacks who don’t hate whites.

Whites who hates Jews and blacks are more likely to strongly identify as white than whites who do not hate blacks and Jews.

Having an other to hate is usually essential for building up in-group identity.

Not only are people with a strong in-group identity more likely to have negative views of outsiders than those without a strong in-group identity, hating outsiders is a powerful way of building up in-group identity.

These forces work on Jews, blacks, Muslims, whites, Japanese, and every other strongly identifying in-group.

Nationalism is the most powerful political force in the world.

The willingness to commit violence is essential to all serious nations. You can’t have a nation unless you are willing to kill for it if necessary. Politics is serious. Ultimate politics often means killing your enemies. Jews did not establish a Jewish state without killing people. Not many nation-state have been established without killing. None can survive without possessing the potential to kill those who threaten them.

False moral categories such as “hate,” “racism,” “anti-Semitism,” and “extremism,” only obfuscate reality. Pretty much everybody prefers their own kind.

Washington Post:

Regardless of who triumphs at the ballot box, the biggest winner of this presidential election may be the alt-right: a sprawling coalition of reactionary conservatives who have lobbied to make the United States more “traditional,” more “populist” and more white.

Once relegated to the political fringes, the alt-right has become a sudden, shocking force in mainstream politics, closely identified with the Donald Trump campaign. Trump’s campaign chief executive, Stephen Bannon, is a former executive chairman of Breitbart News, which he once described as “the platform of the alt-right.” Trump regularly retweets the memes and messages of the alt-right, which has propelled the movement into the limelight.

But lurking behind the offensive tweets and racially charged campaign rhetoric, there’s a more subtle — and far more dangerous — potential threat posed by the alt-right. As my colleagues and I found during a large-scale analysis of alt-right Twitter activity over the past nine months, the movement is growing measurably more radical, and possibly more inclined to violence.

Comments at Steve Sailer:

* The WashPo has PROVEN, with CHARTS that alt-right is another word for Nazi.

“These charts show exactly how racist and radical the alt-right has gotten this year” – I love that clickbait style headlines have now made it to the WashPo. Their statistical methodology is also hilarious. In “mainstream” language the word “Jewish” is most often associate with words like “frum” (meaning religious or Orthodox in Yiddish – I didn’t know that this word had made it into general usage at all – do most Americans even know what this means?) but in alt-right forums, the word Jewish is most associated with words like “liberal”. Can you imagine what kind of deplorable Nazi skinhead would accuse American Jews of being liberal?

The Debate – Open Thread

Comments at Steve Sailer:

* For Hillary, it all began on September 5th with a 4-minute coughing jag and ended on September 11th with a complete collapse in the gutter of a city street : she was then thrown into a medical van with all the ceremony of a grocery store-clerk heaving a large sack of potatoes, and she losing her shoe in the process. You know she will be wearing a hairdo covering a small ear-piece, through which her aides will be feeding her scripted answers to the moderator’s questions. She may even get the questions in advance from upstairs at NBC. But 90 minutes, without a break, is a long slog in her rapidly worsening physical condition.

The diabolical cocktail of Faustian medication, injected and swallowed, which she is forced to undergo on a daily basis, until Election Day arrives on Nov. 8th, may not be able to keep her standing vertical or sitting upright before the clock strikes 10:30PM. She certainly won’t turn into a pumpkin but will she zone out a little here and there or pass out totally or kiss the concrete and splatter, just like Newton’s Apple, after having been dropped from a great height?

* I keep hearing that both these candidates are deeply unpopular, with roughly equal disapproval ratings. That misses an important point, which is obvious in the size and energy of their rallies. A lot of people hate Trump, but a lot of us enthusiastically support him as well, more than we have any Republican candidate in our lifetime. (I was lukewarm about Reagan.) On the other hand, most of the people who plan to vote for Hillary aren’t particularly enthusiastic about her, they just hate Trump. Hillary is just more of the same, only worse and with a vagina.

BTW, I was struck by the claim that whites “say they are tired of debating racism.” When do we ever get to debate racism, except anonymously on the internet? All we ever get to do is listen to lectures about our racism from people who hate us.

* It would be nice if some of the Alt-Right personalities could avoid, in public appearances, mentioning Nazis, Jews, “race realism” and all the other crap that undermined paleoconservatism/nationalist populism last time around. Emphasizing topics like fair trade, selective immigration, and non-interventionism is much more convincing than waving around racial IQ tables. “Alt-Right” is a terrible descriptor in the first place, so sounding like a skinhead talking-point machine doesn’t do much to persuade people.

* I’m kind of hoping for one of the train-wreck Hillarys to show up – left eye wandering around on its own Hillary; bug-eyed, yelling-too-loud “why am I not 50 points ahead” harridan Hillary; low energy, clueless-grandma Between-Two-Ferns Hillary, all culminating in a debate-ending 9-11 collapse. I’m getting my popcorn ready.

* People with negative opinions about Trump have felt perfectly free to express those opinions openly, for more than a year now. But it’s only recently that it’s been permissible to hate on Clinton.

Some combination of the stroke video, the unforced error of the Deplorables episode, and the realization that she’s no longer a sure thing has opened the door–especially on the left–to more open expressions of tooth-grinding resentment over her candidacy. That’s what I’m sensing among liberal acquaintances, at any rate.

In terms of the debate, this should be a liability for her. Clinton’s credibility has always depended on her being a kind of sacred figure (in the mainstream culture, of course). While I’m confident that the worthless “experts” will still call the debate in her favor, the phoniness of all their excuse-making for Clinton may have become too much even for the average liberal.

Most of all, hating on the “unpopular” Trump is old news, while hating on the once-sacred Clinton has the frisson of transgression liberals love so much. If she does poorly tonight, we might see the rhetorical knives come unsheathed among the liberal commentariat.

* I can’t wait for the shaking and eye-rolling and head bobbing and pant suit-wetting. I would hate, HATE, to be Hillary today. Going against the most unflappable guy in the world. Debate #1 Hillary and The Donald or Shaking and Not Stirred.

* The only way things get better for blacks in this country is if things get better for the whole working class. Race issues are entrained with economic ones affecting everyone. Rioting and BLM demonstrations do nothing to help end the shootings. By empowering the grievance it has made it worse as cops are being shot and becoming even quicker to shoot first.

HRC is detached from reality when she blames the Tulsa shooting on “systemic racism.” If anything it raises the issue of whether women should be treated identically to men in jobs requiring male attributes such as strength and testosterone. I realize we can’t have that conversation, but at least Democrats should have to acknowledge they abandoned working class issues and made it all about race and gender as party policy. The base still doesn’t quite know what happened.

HRC claims to want to unite the entire borderless world in one giant fantasy world of unlimited prosperity and happiness. Resisters are haters, but not only did no one give the US government the authority to end our nation as we know it, there is no evidence that the result will be the Coca Cola commercial variety and not be endless bloodshed and poverty all around. It’s our country, Hillary, and no one has the right to give away that which is not theirs to give.

The economic recovery under Obama is pathetic. The peace prize winner’s wars are by far the largest threat the world has faced in this millennium. Obamacare is a fine example of a government that auctions its people to profiteers. Borderless and unlimited immigration is an abuse of office that threatens our peace and freedom. And, last but not least, the free press isn’t. How can a people be free when the media is weaponized against it?

* We are all hoping that by now Hillary’s Docs have fine tuned her witch’s brew of uppers, downers (tranquilizers), cognitive enhancers, thyroid meds and anti-seizure meds so that she does not crap out in mid-debate. A seizure on stage would be ugly and in her case fugly.

* Also, the medium of television is not very kind to Hillary. It’s not what is said, its the way it looks and how its said. Let’s say you’re right, and Hillary is mopping the floor with the Donald on the details of policy. And then all of a sudden….she falls down. Or she coughs for about thirty seconds. How does that look on live television in front of 100 million people? Looks like an old decrepit woman in poor failing health. Why would undecideds vote for someone who might not last the first year of her first term? Also, Hillary isn’t the best at ad libbing or wandering off the script by making off the cuff remarks the way Trump is a master. She could easily get distracted and wander off and look foolish.

Remember: Trump had to dispose of 16 other GOP candidates in numerous live televised debates, where he was the oldest candidate on the stage. This can’t be repeated enough: He fairly easily disposed of “lower engergy” Rubio and Cruz, who are young enough to be his kids. If they couldn’t keep up with him, certainly he can handle someone like Hillary, who had fewer debates and could barely keep up with 75 yr old Sanders.

* Snopes has always had an establishment bias but that bias is more liberal establishment now.

* There are two things that are off about Hillary. The psychopathic, pathological lying bit goes back to birth. But this later bit strikes me as recent and demented. Her brain is failing her. Dementia begins generally as mild cognitive impairment. One hallmark of that and more advanced dementia is the failure to adapt to new information and respond to it appropriately, intelligently and with good judgment. Instead, you get inflexibility. Railing at the camera in this case.

A debate is one of the most open ended tests of how she will respond, and is a nightmare for both H and her handlers. Trump ought to ask her to expose her ears for the earpiece. The American public deserve more than to elect an animatronic robot.

Trump has his debating faults, but dementia is not one of them. He is extremely quick on his feet and intelligent. He comes at you in ways that are novel and unexpected. I would not like to be Hillary’s chief handler right now.

* The Democrat party and their press wing are pressing Lester Holt to “fact check” Trump live on camera Candy Crowley style. It will be interesting to see if he is a “race man” and follows their wishes. Lauer was almost crucified for NOT doing this -didn’t he get the memo from JournoList? This goes with the narrative that Trump should not be entitled to the normal courtesies as any other candidate because he is Hitler and a notorious liar and you can’t just pretend that Hitler is just another candidate or let his blatant lies go unanswered (Hillary’s lies are OK because she is lying for a good cause). The right thing from their POV would be for Holt to stand up and point to Trump and say, “I hereby denounce Trump and all his works and all his pomps and his worship and his angels and his inventions and all things that are under him. Renuntio! Renuntio! Renuntio! “. This would be Holt’s Walter Cronkite moment which would ensure for himself a place in US history.

* Yeah, she strikes me as generally coming across the way Al Gore did in his debate performances–desperately trying to find a manner that seems vaguely human, but wildly careening between being bizarrely under-energized and bizarrely intense.

It’s like she keeps failing the Turing Test, and badly. It’s just too easy to see she’s not really human.

* It appears that tedious Issues!-Issues!-Issues! analyses here overlook telegenics.

Let’s look at the history of electoral telegenics:

– Ike-Stevenson: pre-debate era, yet on TV Stevenson came across as a limp, 96-pound egghead weakling completely overshadowed by Ike’s ramrod-back solidity and supremely telegenic wide-open trademark grin

– JFK-Nixon: we’re all well-acquainted with the telegenic disparity here – only the radio audience rated Nixon on word-substance a clear victor, but the TV audience went almost totus porcus for Kennedy glam

– LBJ-Goldwater: Goldwater’s eyeglasses were overwhelmingly non-telegenic, and, in non-telegenics LBJ also held the enormous – and unique – advantage of possession of the dead JFK’s sympathy factor which Goldwater’s JFK administration outsiderhood lacked utterly

– Nixon-Humphrey: Humphrey’s baldness and his shrill, lecturing voice were not only non-telegenic, they were anti-telegenic

– Nixon-McGovern: despite his sterling WWII record, McGovern on TV came across as limp, wishy-washy

– Ford-Carter: Ford’s receding hairline, stiffness and ponderous dialect were non-telegenic, Carter’s full shock of hair, toothy smile, and honey-dripping voice were perfectly telegenic

– Carter-Reagan: Reagan was a master of visual media presentation, Carter was not, and his wan, hapless TV image in his lame “malaise” speech had already powerfully repelled voters

– Reagan-Mondale: same as for the previous election campaign – Fritz had zero telegenics)

– Bush-Dukakis: Bush’s telegenics were amiable, avuncular; Dukakis came across as a dark-browed, menacing, and skulking inept

– Bush-Clinton: Clinton’s breezy TV image beat Bush’s aging, thinning visage

– Clinton-Dole: Dole was another dark-browed face that looked bad on TV, and his running mate Kemp had zero telegenic worth

– Bush-Gore: Bush played every telegenic card in the book; Gore came across on TV as something of a wet-behind-the-ears bumbler

– Bush-Kerry: again, Bush held all the telegenic cards over the cadaverous, ponderous, lethally boring Kerry

– McCain-Obama: the young Obama was superlatively telegenic and he also played to perfection the Magic Negro upon whom white liberals love to project their fantasy of a civilized, smart black; McCain just looked ancient, desiccated

– Obama-Romney: again, the youthful-looking Obama’s telegenics beat the severe, 1950′s wethead-haircut, darker-browed, stiff Romney’s anti-telegenics

– Trump-Clinton: Mr. Trump holds all the telegenic aces; Hillary looks dumpy, ancient, flyblown, ill, tremulous-cum-animatronic, and her vocal dimension is shrill, harsh, severely nunnish, and the more makeup she wears, the more she comes visually across as being phony and held together by chewing gum and safety pins

If it’s all about telegenics, then Mr. Trump looks like tonight’s hands-down debate winner – telegenics have nothing to do with the substance of a candidate’s platform or experience, or even with what a candidate actually says (this is where the opinion of the 1960 radio audience is telling, polling Nixon as the clear winner on words spoken, not on televised image); telegenics has everything to do with how the audience feels about and responds to a televised image.

Also, Mr. Trump is bigger and taller than Hillary, and in telegenics bigger & taller count as two aces. There are reports that Hillary has asked for a footstool, concealed behind her podium, for her to stand on to make her look taller than she is and less short than Mr. Trump, so we know that Hillary’s media team understands telegenics and fears rightly that in every aspect of telegenics, Hillary is the disastrous clear loser to Mr. Trump’s superlative telegenics.

Mr. Trump is also much more animated – and far more relaxed in animation/dynamics in the camera’ eye, which forms another telegenics ace (Reagan’s ace) for him over Mrs. Clinton. Hillary on camera is stiff, scripted, almost diabolically vengeful female-Mussolini looking, like the Angel of Death, and comes across as the world’s most insufferable blowhard buddinsky mother in-law.

One thing you can bet on: from tonight’s post-debate Enemedia-Pravda’s talking head “analysts” you will hear little, if any, analysis of the two candidates relative telegenics or lack thereof – they will instead prate monotonously about race, gender, “unifying vs. dividing,” and they’ll avoid all the actual core Big Sellout issues of immigration, trade, and Invade The World. The overwhelmingly in-the-tank-for-Hillary media-”professional/expert” talking heads will avoid mention of telegenics because they know very well that in telegenics Mr. Trump holds all the aces.

Jews & Pot

I’m shocked by how many Jews I know are cashing in on cannabis.

Coming from a puritanical Seventh-Day Adventist background, I view marijuana as horrible. It tends to turn people into losers at a high rate. How can you profit from such a thing? Orthodox Judaism does not condone the recreational use of drugs.

I have never used marijuana nor any illegal drug in my life. I have never been tempted. I will not allow drug-users into my life.

JTA: An Israeli Orthodox rabbi ruled that distributing and smoking medicinal marijuana is kosher, but using weed for fun is forbidden.
Efraim Zalmanovich, the rabbi of Mazkeret Batia, a town south of Tel Aviv, made the distinction in a recent halachic ruling, NRG, the news site of the Maariv daily reported on Friday. Leading rabbis frequently weigh in on matters of reconciling halacha, or Jewish law, with modern living.
Zalmanovich’s ruling modifies an opinion by Rabbi Hagai Bar Giora, who in March told Israel’s Magazin Canabis: “If you smoke it, there is no problem whatsoever.”
Zalmanovich, the author of a book on alcoholism in Judaism, said: “Taking drugs to escape this world in any excessive way is certainly forbidden.”
However, if the drug is administered to relieve pain, then the person giving it is “performing a mitzvah,” and the person using the drug is using it “in a kosher fashion.”
Some 11,000 Israelis use medicinal marijuana, including people with post-traumatic disorders and Parkinson’s disease, according to the Israeli health ministry.
