* The Jewish establishment and their Gentile colleagues clearly have a symbiotic relationship with the anti-Semitic Far Right. They need each other, define themselves in opposition to the other and justify the need for their continued funding based on the existence of the other. Both agree the Jews are at the centre of things and the world cannot make sense without seeing it from a Jewish-centred point of view. It’s no wonder they can’t stop talking about each other.

* No, people like Bill Kristol drag out their Jewishness to explain why they get to rule people like Trump or the Le Pen’s out of bounds. All the other mainstream Jews, to a greater or lesser degree, also insist that they have a special sensitivity to Nazism and therefore should be kept around to make sure it doesn’t flare up anywhere new. They further insist that anyone who notices the disproportionately Jewish character of an institution are themselves neo-Nazis. Thus Jews need to be kept around as Nazi spotters and anyone who wonders why is himself a Nazi they just spotted, thereby proving their continued necessity.

* Jews have a tremendous amount of power in America, and play an enormous role in the media, entertainment, foreign policy, finance, academia, publishing, etc.

It’s pretty tough to “grossly over-emphasize” the importance of Jews in this country.

But Nazis have less than zero power in America. They play no role whatsoever in the media, entertainment, foreign policy, finance, academia, publishing, etc.

Yet Jews are always going on as if every institution in America is run by the Nazi Party.

* As for Jews, yes they are over-represented in banking, entertainment, the law. They are under-represented in extraction industries, engineering, the sciences, and particularly: Law Enforcement and the Military. Quick, name five famous Jewish Police or Military public figures active NOW. Charlie Beck, William Bratton, Jim Mattis, Gen. Kelly, Jeff Sessions, are all not Jewish. Jews if anything act HOSTILE TO JEWISH INTERESTS by importing Muslims. This makes perfect sense however if you see them as logs bobbing about aimlessly in river current of virtue signaling and female run societies based on feelz and the need for Fifty Shades of Grey Domination and disgust over White men being too beta male.

Thought experiment: What would a real Jewish conspiracy look like? No populations hostile to Jews in places like the US, and Europe, nice places to live. Jews forming the overwhelming majority of police and military leaders and personnel, and active conversion of Gentiles to Jews to provide numbers with a core of “inner Jews” running the real power centers. Historically, this is how the Roman, Alexandrian/Hellenistic, Persian, Hittite, and Mongol Empires ran and there is no reason to depend on fantastical arguments about how Jews “really” benefit from being chased into crowded Israel dependent on a rapidly Islamifying US and Europe for aid and defense.

* The ADL will take effective control of Twitter on 12/18/17.

That should work well.

* It really would be for the best if the organized Jewish community were the final arbiters on all things. Sadly, it is the only way we can prevent another Hitler.

* It’s obvious to any honest person that Jews have enormous power, as evidenced by their ability to wreck anyone who wants to talk about it. Someone who doesn’t see this simply proves their intellectual dishonesty.

* There is a legitimate concern that letting alt-right types express themselves in public forums risks that their views will infect others. After all, their views correspond to reality, while those of the NYT editors do not.

The left no longer has confidence that exposing the views of those in the alt-right is the best way of invalidating them. The left knows it can’t win in free and open debate.

* I think what is true is that most Jews would like Nazism in America (everywhere) to be smothered in its cradle, BEFORE it is running every institution (0r even ANY institutions). Once it has gained a foothold it’s already too late. You don’t wait until the whole building is on fire before you get out the fire extinguisher. This is the big mistake that the US made against Islamism – it should have been killed off when it was still confined to a few crazy preachers, not before it became the ideology of millions. It might seem like overkill to loose the forces of the entire establishment against a pisher like Hovater but it’s the right thing to do.

Those who say that they want an “open and honest discussion of Jewish power in America” or some such are like the Leftists who want to have a “conversation about race”. You don’t want an honest conversation at all – you want to be able to freely and publicly denounce Jews without consequences to yourself. And once you publicly identify Jews as “a problem” we know that this calls for a solution. Now in the American context the solution is unlikely (I hope and pray) to be violent but it would naturally involve cutting down on “Jewish power” one way or another – those who are calling for “discussion” don’t bother to hide this. If what you are saying is true and Jews have “excessive” power in America, then naturally they are not going to surrender this without a fight, nor do they have any obligation to give a “fair hearing” to Nazis in the institutions that they control any more than George Zimmerman should have allowed Trayvon to pound him into unconsciousness.

* Apparently Nate Silver’s post-election paranoia that he didn’t understand Trump’s America has led him to think that the NYT is publishing a deeply sympathetic portrait of a white supremacist.

* The closest thing we have is Tucker Carlson pointing out that “elite” don’t particularly care for the American people much, though Tucker is meticulous about avoiding the whole J thing.

Having It Both Ways

* Men and women always had a libido but civilization existed to tame it and channel that libido into the socially useful institution of marriage and family – husband and wife could hump like bunnies and it was all good, but sex outside of marriage was bad. But now we are back to pagan morality – it’s a given that females will sleep around as much as they want. The pill has divorced sex from “having babies” – they are two completely separate things. So instead we are reduced to ridiculous arguments about consent – females can sleep with dozens of men and keep photos of themselves on their phones that not long ago would have been too shocking to even be printed as pornography, but the moment she snaps her fingers and utters the magic words, a force field descends and females should be treated like Victorian virgins. This is called “having it both ways”.

* What is so difficult to understand here? Everyone is entitled, nay, encouraged to explore their potential for self-actualization by having as much promiscuous sex with as many anonymous partners as they please, up to the point of requiring prophylactic anti-retroviral drugs and abortions. The completely predictable results of stunted relationships, illegitimate children and venereal disease are totally worth it. But, of course, these young people who encouraged to get a dozen strains of HPV before they are 21 are also told that they can withdraw consent at any point, up to and after the point they decide to raw dog another stranger. It makes perfect sense, you see… Casual sex has no negative consequences so no need to worry about it more than a handshake, unless of course you regret it, when it becomes the gravest crime imaginable in our society.

* What the NYT article doesn’t mention is that many women engage in opportunistic sexual relations with powerful men in exchange for career advancement or money. For as long as women have been on the planet, they’ve been forming relationships with wealthy/powerful men in return for financial benefits. If Harvey Weinstein thought he could get away with harassing women, one reason is because many women willingly slept with him in return for movie roles.

If women stopped using sex as bartering currency, powerful men would be far less likely to harass them.

* We have allowed Western women to debauch themselves to African style sexual norms. An erosion toward an African level of civilization will be the inevitable result. (The white IQ, conscientiousness and behavior of a large section of whites is holding us back from an avalanche into the abyss, but we’re certainly slipping down the slope.)

* Any teen girl who’s had more than one makeout session can tell you that guys vary both in skill and aggression. I never noticed a religious pattern with guys who grew up in America, but I wouldn’t get in a cuddle session with either a Muslim or an Israeli. I once danced with an Israeli at Webster Hall, and he backed me all over the dance floor with gratuitous pelvic thrusts. Since we were not doing the “Time Warp,” I felt he was being just a little bit invasive.

Nazi Drummers II

* It’s interesting that Eric Garner lost his martyrdom in favor of Heather Heyer. They both had a kind of static health where they could roll out of bed in the morning but any additional stress was enough to put them over the limit into cardiac arrest. The NYT should send their most extremely obese reporter to Hovater’s house and arrange some loud/stressful noises, then they could potentially pin a murderer label on him as well when the inevitable happens.

* This third one (in a series?) is called extending the click bait. This article has 782 comments so you can see it has Times readers in a self righteous tizzy. Imagine you are a NY Times reader relaxing on a nice sunny Sunday, when Tony Hovater comes along to trigger you.

* Alternative NYT: We denounced Mr. Hovater as reprehensible using all the ugly names we could muster and readers still thought we “normalized” him. Having already taken outrage to 11, we couldn’t find 12 on the scale. Groveling apology to follow…

* Heather Heyer died of a heart attack, brought on because she was an very obese chain smoker. I never came across a video showing her actually getting hit (maybe the car hit her on the leg). Had she been a normal sized person who didn’t smoke she would have just been another witness to the whole mess.

* …from the founding of this nation until 1965 or so, “normal ass white people” pretty much universally believed the following:

1. America is a white nation built by and for white people
2. Homosexuals are mentally ill
3. Transgenders are even more mentally ill
4. The role of woman is to “stand by her man” and raise his children
5. Homosexuals, transgenders, and women don’t belong in the military
6. Communism is bad
7. If a white man got his ass out of bed in the morning and put in an honest day’s work, he could not only support his family, but get ahead in life.

Today, if you believe #1-6 you are seen literally as a “Nazi” (and #7 is no longer true). Today you are seen as a Nazi because the culture has become inverted 180 degrees; women, gays, blacks, illegals and transgenders are holy and pure, and the white man is a satanic demon.

So whether or not the white man is an actual Nazi or not he might as well be one, because 1) the ruling caste is going to call him one anyway, and 2) the “Nazis” in Germany were a working class movement (which, admittedly, got out of hand due to the fanatical leadership) but in fact they pretty much agreed with “all of the above,” as did normal Americans for the first 180-190 years of our existence.

* Mike Enoch writes:

I’m thinking that Richard Fausset figured his angle was “Look, this guy is totally normal, but also a Nazi. See, anyone can be a Nazi so watch out for Nazis everywhere.” But he totally f***ed up from the perspective of his bosses. The blue checks are going insane over the piece. Which gives away that they will not stand for any journalism that is not purely agenda driven.

In the course of writing, Richard Fausset probably grew to actually like Tony and on some level his conscience kicked in and he couldn’t just smear him. Huge mistake for his career. Look at the reactions of agenda setting Jews like Ezra Klein.

Richard Fausset did it wrong. He was supposed to bring back a hit piece or some useful information, preferably both. He did neither. Instead he gave US a propaganda win.

Funny thing is, I spoke to Tony and it turns out that he actually DOES have seasonal allergies and occasionally takes an antihistamine. And Richard Fausset totally failed to even mention this in his article. What the hell was he thinking?

A certain Mr Greenblatt, who it seems this very year has risen from mere second-tier government-apparatus-hanger-on in some obscure ideological-enforcement department of USGov, to Chief Suppressor of Anti-Semitism for the United States (i.e., new Head of the ADL; this may as well be a government position), writes:

“It’s critical for the press, when covering professional hatemongers, to avoid treating the abnormal as normal or to humanize the inhumane. By that basic measure, I’d score this @NYTimes piece: #Nazis- 1, @Public- 0.”

More importantly, shall we treat Greenblatt as ‘abnormal’? Is ethnic activism and likely allegiance to a foreign state ‘normal’ or ‘abnormal’?

* “Nazi” is and always has been an abuse word. It was invented as an abuse word. The Germans never called themselves Nazis. Can you imagine having a serious discussion about the Vietnam War while referring to Vietnamese as “Gooks”? The reason people such as the New York Times use the word Nazi is to demonize the person they are targeting with that label. And it works. Hence the liberal hysteria about the alt-right instead of serious analysis.

* Questions Worth Asking:

(1) Is Richard Fausset’s career over?

(2) If so, will he salvage his career by announcing a dramatic discovery of Jewish ancestry, miracle Holocaust Survival (making Fausset a bonafide Third-Generation Holocaust Survivor), and perform a formal conversion to Judaism?

* Ultimately, the New York Times’ and Richard Fausset’s cardinal sin was to presume that anyone could ever understand Mr. Hovater, or anyone like him, or that there might be reasons why people like him exist. That’s truly unacceptable. I’ve heard numerous Hannah Arendt (Eichmann trial, “banality of evil”) references this weekend over this piece, in claims that it’s nothing new. Ultimately, we’re not meant to seek any deeper meaning for any of this. “White supremacists are normal ass white people and it’s been that way in America since 1776.” And we must never, ever, ever think for a moment that people like Mr. Hovater have reasons for thinking the way that they do, much less potentially legitimate grievances. No, it’s evil, and banal, and just too much to think about, so why are you talking about it still?

* Over the past weekend, Enoch posted some audio to his site from a couple of journalists who were supposed to write pieces on him. He seems to be getting sort of friendly with one of them, because they keep calling each other after the story went to press, and the journalist keeps laughing at his jokes, and even admitting some things about the journalism business you wouldn’t really expect him to admit.

* Finally, hopefully more Whites will ‘put 2 and 2 together’ and realize things will be much worse when Whites are a minority in America — the ’2 and 2′ being 1) stubborn discrepancies in economic well-being across racial/ethnic lines in even the ‘most diverse’ locales’, which due to HBD are irremediable without extensive government intervention (taxation, wealth redistribution/transfers), and will always be blamed on Whites (racism, including ‘institutional racism’, ‘white privilege’ etc), and 2) the implacable hatred and hysterical condemnation of any form of white identity, as evidenced by the response to this article.

MORE COMMENTS:

* The dude says he loves Seinfeld. (I love Seinfeld. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen every episode at least twice.) How does a “Nazi” love Seinfeld? On any reasonable use of the term “Nazi”, shouldn’t a “Nazi” hate Seinfeld and demand that he be executed? Doesn’t any insinuation that anyone is a “Nazi” convey the insinuation that the “Nazi” thinks that all “Jews” should be immediately executed? Of course it does. That is why the term “Nazi” carries such power. But all of this is false.

* Because modern day white nationalism and neo-Nazism is a mass of ridiculous and stupid contradictions. Whether it’s people of full or partial Slavic ancestry admiring Hitler, the spectacle of stupid anti-Semites worshiping philo-Semitic Confederate aristocrats, the schizophrenia about whether Christianity is the one true religion or a distraction for pathetic cucks, the most prominent public face at the moment being someone who is obviously a closeted or not-so-closeted homosexual, or the fact that the Aryan Brotherhood is led by a guy named Silverstein, a Nazi liking Seinfeld is the least of their problems.

* Steve Sailer: The drummer is highly articulate and has lots of opinions on what motivates him, so it’s not that impossible a reportorial task to, you know, look up the subject’s lengthy essays on the Internet.

The punk rock movement was roughly half-Jewish. Of the three punk bands I mentioned that played around with Nazi imagery, the Ramones were half Jewish (Joey the singer and Tommy the first drummer/manager), the Sex Pistol’s manager/idea man Malcolm McClaren was half Jewish, and Mick Jones, founder of the Clash was, I believe, half-Jewish (Joe Strummer was something like 1/8th Jewish, and more Armenian).

So, it was all kind of an inside joke. And all three bands knocked off with the Nazi stuff within about a year. I vaguely recall that perhaps Strummer and Bernard Rhodes, the Jewish manager of the Clash, took a stand against it and maybe that shamed the others into cutting it out?

Left wing militarism became more of a thing in the late 1970s as Strummer’s influence grew. (By the way, Strummer was not a nice guy. Nothing to do with politics …)

Obama’s Indonesian step-uncles and aunts tended to believe little Barry Soetoro might be Indonesian because as they moved about the various island due to their dad’s job as a petroleum engineer, their mom tended to give birth to children who looked like the respective islanders, and one island near New Guinea everybody was kind of African-looking.

Nobody in the family seemed to want to advance the alternative theory.

* Before punk rock, The Blue Oyster Cult liked to pretend to be Nazis, even though singer Eric Bloom was Jewish, and so were producers Sandy Pearlman and Murray Krugman. Their hooked-cross symbol was vaguely suggestive of a swastika.

* The NYT writer was obviously rattled by the fact that his subject was informed, hyper-verbal, analytical, and looked like a hipster. In short, the self-image of the average young Times writer (and reader). “One of us” if you will. You can almost see him thinking to himself “what the heck is going on here. This cat should be a Bernie Bro.”

* There’s even a Canadian grindcore band called Fuck the Facts. Probably the best name for a left-leaning rock band I’ve ever heard.

* Periodically, bands adopt Nazi imagery for the same reason some adopt the Confederate flag as a mascot. It makes them look tough and pisses people off. It doesn’t mean they want to kill Jews or own slaves.

Richard Spencer & Vayishlach

Richard Spencer joins 48 minutes in. My cohosts are Dennis Dale and Vivian Veritas.

Richard: “Due to Poland, I am now banned from the Schengen Zone for five years. I am going to seek redress with the European Union.”

Luke: “Richard, you do a lot of things. What do you think you do best and what do you need to delegate?”

Richard: “That’s a very good question. When I was in this movement five years, I was effectively doing everything but focused on writing and publishing. Due to the explosion in interest, I’ve been dealing with behind the scenes matters — organizing fundraising and institution building. Eighty five per cent of what I’ve done over the past year has been behind the scenes. I’ve written less. I’ve done a lot of appearances and media…”

“I feel like Evan McLaren can take over the executive task and I can do more writing and publishing. I feel like the public appearance aspect of what I’m doing and the interface with the media is something only I can do. I need to focus on what only I can do.”

“A lot of publishing I want to dedicate to Andrew Joyce [and Hannibal Bateman, a long-time friend], a really great writer and thinker. We’re relaunching Radix Journal in December. It will be much like it was — less newsy and day-to-day than AltRight.com. It will be focused on longer form pieces and publishing books.”

“In terms of the institutional stuff, that’s not what I’m best at.”

“I’ve known Evan a decade. We first meet at the predecessor to the H.L. Mencken Club in 2007. We had both worked with Paul Gottfried… He invited us to this gathering. At the time, I was working at American Conservative magazine. Evan was still in graduate school.”

The Alt Lite is not sending us their best. They are these strange marginal people. They view us as stealing their thunder. They want to be the edgy no-holds-barred Alt Right. The young hip edgy people. I’ve never viewed them as friends. I viewed them as temporary allies in 2016.”

“I went to dinner with Scott McConnell and we had a telling conversation. He said you guys are too far out front. We need people who will talk about the West and we won’t get into these controversies and we won’t get punched in broad daylight. I said you guys had your chance. We tried that and it did not work. We need something that is bolder and truer. There is probably some resentment by American Conservative [magazine] types… These guys don’t add a lot. They’re not more connected than I am.”

“I’m not sure I want to make everyone Alt Right. The reason I bash the Alt Lite is because they want to attack us. They want to channel energy away from identity and towards nonsense.”

“I wish some of these female personalities [like Faith Goldy, Lauren Southern] would go more mainstream. I think that’s a better strategy than other things they’ve been doing.”

“Gavin McInnes is reaching out to the butt plug community and speaking out to people where they are.”

“Gavin has this weird schizophrenia with regard to Israel. After he’s had four or five drinks, he’s willing to criticize Zionism, but then when he’s sober, he’ll pretend that defending Israel on campus is some edgy thing.”

Luke: “What’s your take on Jews who are friendly to the Alt Right?”

Richard: “I think it is fine. It’s a good thing in a way if we have Jews who will agree and amplify and treat us as legitimate. It is perfectly fine at a public event. We’re not checking anyone’s 23andMe account before people come in. I think we should have private events that are 100% for us. We can’t allow the based Jew to change how we operate. We shouldn’t allow this one based Jew that we have change how we view the question in general. I think it would be great if we had allies who are Chinese or Indian. I’m a civilized person. Of course I have no problem with that.”

“I’m not against having a dialogue with anyone. I don’t think our movement should be about that — ‘See! Look at how unracist and unanti-semitic we are.'”

“I met David Duke at Charlottesville. I had him on a podcast 18 months ago… I’m not integrated with David Duke. I’m doing my own thing.”

Luke: “What’s your history with Greg Johnson?”

Richard: “I’ve known him for some time. I first met him in 2009. He was editing The Occidental Quarterly. I’ve done some collaboration. I’ve done a podcast with him here and there.”

Luke: “He’s attacked you a lot and you’ve rarely responded.”

Richard: “I really don’t like him at all as a person. I think he’s a bad person. He is a divisive person who thrives on creating internecine disputes. He has an extreme resentment against me. The kind of things he has done behind my back that are not public that are far more poisonous than anything he’s written. He’s falls into a problem that intellectuals need to to avoid — to use someone as a reverse compass. He seems to desire to take the opposite perspective from me even when he’s clearly wrong. This whole pan-European vs nationalism debate, he tried to create this as an either-or situation. I’ve never claimed this is a black and white issue. It’s deeply complicated. He tries to turn it into a polemic. I think it is ultimately about creating divisions and not about having a productive dialogue. I think I’ve been rather polite in what I’ve had to say about him. I don’t think people like that are good for any movement. They thrive on division. I don’t think any movement is going to be successful when we have people like that operating like that amongst us. We all need to be friendly and diplomatic.” (Greg Johnson responds.)

Luke: “Did Andrew Joyce’s three-part series on the homosexual question shift your views in any way?”

Richard: “It did… Andrew was criticizing people like me who would say we don’t have to worry about the homosexual question. It’s not our issue. I was one of those live and let live types. It is something that our movement has to address.”

“Paul Gottfried is a transitional figure. He was also instrumental in the creation of paleo-conservatism and paleo-libertarianism that movement he described as a hastily assembled to neo-conservative ascendance. He was always different from them. He was more European, more influenced by Carl Schmitt, Nietsche and Hegel. He was pushing towards where I am but with one and a half feet planted in American paleo-conservatism.”

Luke: “How would you describe Andrew Anglin and the Daily Stormer to normies?”

Richard: “That’s a good question. Andrew Anglin is an interesting figure. So much of what he does is a troll, it is consciously shifting the Overton Window. At the same time, what he does can often be very insightful and powerful. Andrew Anglin has been very complicated. He has been the most outlandish person when it comes to being a neo-Nazi but he’s gotten more nuanced, saying that in real life that you shouldn’t be like that. In reaching people, we need a more down to earth strategy. He’s indulged in the white sharia meme. I don’t think any of them believe in that but they’re communicating a point through making outlandish statements. He’s a talent publicist. His website has more hits than the rest of us. It has more hits because of his totally outlandish qualities but it would be wrong to not recognize his insights. He’s mercurial. I’m not sure I know what to make of him. I’d say to a normie — he’s trolling to a large degree but there’s insight as well.”

Luke: “Did you have trepidation about making common cause with Andrew Anglin at times?”

Richard: “A tremendous amount of trepidation… There is no way I’m going to do what he does. It’s not my style. I do very often question a lot of things he’s done.”

Luke: “How would you describe the Daily Shoah podcast to normies and did you have any trepidation about joining it?”

Richard: “Same thing… The title is so outrageous… I respect Jesse, Mike Enoch. I’m happy to work with Mike Enoch. Even though we are very different in our personalities and upbringing, 90% of the time we are on the same wavelength. I’m fine going on the show… If normies listened to it, they would understand it is a down to earth show. I had trepidation going on something with that title…”

Luke: “I just read in the New York Times that “Hail victory” in Germany is ‘Sieg Heil.’ Did you deliberately make a ‘Sieg Heil’ reference with ‘Hail Victory’?”

Richard: “I knew how provocative that statement would be… Just because a term has been used by a controversial regime in the past does not mean that we shouldn’t use it.”

“Our movement should be about winning.”

“I was an All-American kid in some ways. I was also interested in some things that were more heady and intellectual and radical. When I was a senior in high school, I directed and starred in my own theatrical play — K2 — where my friend and I were on the mountaintop and in order to survive, I abandoned him on K2 so I could live on. It was existentialist. The play is very good. You should look it up.”

Luke: “Where do you think Hitler was wrong?”

Richard laughs. “What? He was wrong in a lot of ways. That’s a huge discussion. Maybe we can table that for another time. We would have to go in and look at things historically. I do think he was wrong on a number of levels. I would ask that we save this highly controversial question for another time.”

Luke: “There is a propensity for criminal violence among some sections of white nationalism. What are the warning signs your white nationalist friend is going to go blow up some federal building?”

Richard: “Well, often times these people will talk about things like that before they do them. If you are around someone who is talking, or even joking, but you can tell when a joke is serious. If someone talks about criminal violence, if someone talks that our movement will only succeed if we blow up this federal building, or attack this politician, none of that nonsense has helped our movement. If someone talks about that, it is a time to distance oneself. That person is not of sound mind or that person is a federal agent. That is exactly the kind of nonsense that federal agents, infiltrators, will talk about. ‘Do you want me to sell you these illegal weapons so you can stockpile weapons for when they set up the FEMA camps? I wish someone would do something! The time is now! Think of what we could do with this fertilizer.’ If someone talks like that, then stop talking to them. Just walk out of the room. End the conversation on Skype. Turn your back on them at a party.”

Luke: “There seem to be a lot of disturbed people among white nationalists…”

Richard: “I don’t meet these troubled people. Maybe because my social circles are small. I meet a lot of good people.”

Luke: “Is there something Nazi-like about your haircut? Are you trolling?”

Richard: “No, the haircut was a popular hipster haircut. You can see evidence all through the 1930s of this haircut. I’m glad we have an international style, you see identitarians in Europe and the United States who have an undercut. No, it’s not trolling. I think it looks good.”

Luke: “You used the term ‘lugenpresse’ (lying press) [at NPI in November of 2016]. Are you deliberately trolling with Nazi language?”

Richard: “‘Lugenpresse’ as a term goes back to the 19th Century. But yes, whenever you use a German term, it is going to be provocative. I think our movement should have a provocative edge.”

Luke: “What is the source of morality?”

Richard: “That’s a very deep question.”

Richard’s phone rings. “Morality and theology are ways of building a group consensus without using direct force so that people feel like they are… I’m going to have to go. Someone just told me there is a major emergency.”

“There’s an evolutionary origin of morality.”

Friend: “You have a good interviewing instinct. I will say, though, that Spencer seems up for pretty much any questions to me. I believe him when he says he’ll dialog with anyone. I bet he’d be able to answer most of the rebbe’s questions effectively.”

Soon, Regnery met a young man named Richard Spencer, who then worked at the American Conservative magazine. Other than coming from a privileged background, Spencer seemed everything Regnery wasn’t: academically successful, publicity-hungry, and youthful. The two men hit it off. At that time, Regnery together with his friend Gottfried, the right-wing author, helped set up a group called the Academy of Philosophy and Letters. Spencer, too, was an early member. But their obsession with race soon put them at odds with the organization they had helped build. Spurned by the academy, Spencer, Regnery, and Gottfried established a new group called The Mencken Club.

That was the place where the phrase “alternative right” was first used, according to Regnery, Spencer, and Gottfried. Spencer used it to title a speech by Gottfried: “The Decline and Rise of the Alternative Right.”

In 2010, Regnery asked Spencer to find candidates to lead the organization. Spencer suggested himself.

At the time, leading such an explicitly racist organization carried great risks for someone with political ambitions. “I felt he was too accomplished and had too bright a career in the offing to accept a position that would forever brand him with the mark of Cain,” Regnery said. “I remember spending time gently trying to talk him out of the idea.” But he took the job, and in a speech last year Regnery said that putting Spencer in charge of NPI “secured my place in history.”

Indeed, Spencer got the group off to an energetic start. He set up a website called AlternativeRight.com and launched RadixJournal.com, where authors have recently argued that “this planet, mankind, and European man would all be better off with less and better humans” and pondered whether the reboot of Gilmore Girls depicts “the death of White America.”

Gen. 32: 3

Jacob Wrestles With God

So why do we fear people? We tend to fear the same people we resent. And we resent and fear people because we have usually done them wrong and given them an incentive to retaliate against us.

When you read the Torah without the rabbinic commentary, Esau comes off as a great guy, as a better guy than Jacob.

Gen. 34:

34 Now Dinah, the daughter Leah had borne to Jacob, went out to visit the women of the land. 2 When Shechem son of Hamor the Hivite, the ruler of that area, saw her, he took her and raped her. 3 His heart was drawn to Dinah daughter of Jacob; he loved the young woman and spoke tenderly to her. 4 And Shechem said to his father Hamor, “Get me this girl as my wife.”

5 When Jacob heard that his daughter Dinah had been defiled, his sons were in the fields with his livestock; so he did nothing about it until they came home.

13 Because their sister Dinah had been defiled, Jacob’s sons replied deceitfully as they spoke to Shechem and his father Hamor. 14 They said to them, “We can’t do such a thing; we can’t give our sister to a man who is not circumcised. That would be a disgrace to us. 15 We will enter into an agreement with you on one condition only: that you become like us by circumcising all your males. 16 Then we will give you our daughters and take your daughters for ourselves. We’ll settle among you and become one people with you. 17 But if you will not agree to be circumcised, we’ll take our sister and go.”

18 Their proposal seemed good to Hamor and his son Shechem. 19 The young man, who was the most honored of all his father’s family, lost no time in doing what they said, because he was delighted with Jacob’s daughter. 20 So Hamor and his son Shechem went to the gate of their city to speak to the men of their city. 21 “These men are friendly toward us,” they said. “Let them live in our land and trade in it; the land has plenty of room for them. We can marry their daughters and they can marry ours. 22 But the men will agree to live with us as one people only on the condition that our males be circumcised, as they themselves are. 23 Won’t their livestock, their property and all their other animals become ours? So let us agree to their terms, and they will settle among us.”

24 All the men who went out of the city gate agreed with Hamor and his son Shechem, and every male in the city was circumcised.

Did the brothers over-react to the seduction of their sister?

4. I loved your famous answer to the rabbi — but what if Jews are wrong? What if they’re like the most screwed up example of human culture? What if we shouldn’t emulate them?

5. Is the white ethnostate going to be as isolated and closed off as North Korea?

6. Do you think the internet has a way of breaking apart what were intact cultures? — too much contact with “others” leads to a sense of the arbitrariness of my own ways?

7. College professors and students seem like the vanguard (remember Moldbug’s example of Stanford being 40 years ahead) — and the consensus there is near total. Is it your hope to “argue them” out of their consensus? Isn’t such an idea fantastical? It seems to me like we need to “take it.”

8. Is accelerationism by way of chaos a good strategy, or do we need to work within the framework of democratic institutions?

9. Why don’t we work on convincing Hungary and Poland to accept “white diaspora” immigrants as refugees from multicultural societies?

10. A bit of advice: make the memes 3-dimensional. Print them off, post them in public places. Consider even printing small 3D “idols,” of Kek or something, and leaving them around town — make it a game.

11. A quick look at demographics makes it appear that whites are headed for either destruction or a real monster of a war of expunging non-whites… a cataclysm one way or another. And because of the way demographics are shifting, it seems the odds are most in our favor the *sooner* we arrive at this cataclysm… no?

12. Honestly, as the father of two daughters, I am unable to imagine ever saying anything tribal to them about the person they fall in love with… if it’s a Chinese man or even an exceptional black man, I may have my concerns, but I wouldn’t be able to disown my daughters… yet, isn’t this what we need, sort of?

Jews:

1. I’ve noticed that alt-right has taken some pro-palestinian positions, but Richard has generally avoided doing so. Does he think the “pro-palestinian” stuff in the alt-right devolves into the same kind of anti-colonizer rhetoric that the Left uses when talking about native americans?

2. What is the fate of diaspora Jews if someone like Richard comes to power? Should they be scared of deportation? Does an ethnostate mean Jewish expulsion from the whole land?

I’m interested to get a read on his views on the Israel-Palestine debate since he’s been historically more nuanced. I’m also interested in the degree to which he buys into the Kevin Macdonald type antisemitism that’s become popular on the alt-right. What’s the right “amount” of naming the Jew?

* It’s clear that has an understanding of the complexity of Jewish identity, when compared to the average alt-righter. However, he has never delved deeply into this topic before in a discussion, to my knowledge. Try to get him to talk about the extent to which Jews do have a connection with Europe. Also, ask him about his opinion of Stephen Miller.

* Is there a carrot to be offered to Jews who abhor anti-white Jewish organizational policy for tribal and moral reasons but see no point in fighting?

* How does Paul Gottfried deal with your turn to WN?

* Would Spencer consider a portion of a white homeland where jews could live without political rights or power?

* Middle class and moderate NYC Jews successfully revolted against liberalism and black nationalism with Koch and support for Rudy. How do you understand that historical phenomenon?

* If Jews understand that America faltering endangers Israel existentially, will their right-wing move to neutralize the globalist Jews?

* Ask why the goyim are as dumb as rocks when defending their group interests. Also suggest that he use his influence to get the alt right to call itself a “white zionist” movement. Hijinks will ensue.

Why hasn’t the New York Times profiled Steve Sailer? With few exceptions, he’s more important to the Alt Right than anyone else.

Steve Sailer writes:

In the New York Times today, another one of the ever growing genre of profiles of obscure far rightists. This one is a lengthy article profiling a young heavy metal drummer/welder in a small town in Ohio, who has drifted politically over the years from liberalism to libertarianism to, at present, the extreme right Traditionalist Worker Party.


In America’s Heartland, a Voice of Hate Among ‘Normies’

… He said he wanted to see the United States become “an actually fair, meritocratic society.” Absent that, he would settle for a white ethno-state “where things are fair, because there’s no competing demographics for government power or for resources.”

Mr. Fausset, the reporter, was then called out by New York Times subscribers for failing to crush the ideological arguments of the extremist drummer. For example:

So, the reporter then wrote a mea culpa about his shame at his failure to intellectually shame the drummer, and concludes in his own self-defense that some people, like arsonists and the subject of his article, are just plain Evil for reasons too mysterious for human understanding.


I Interviewed a White Nationalist and Fascist. What Was I Left With?

There is a hole at the heart of my story about Tony Hovater, the white nationalist and Nazi sympathizer.

Why did this man — intelligent, socially adroit and raised middle class amid the relatively well-integrated environments of United States military bases — gravitate toward the furthest extremes of American political discourse?

I had hoped the answer would fall in my lap when I traveled to Ohio to spend time with Mr. Hovater. We met at a Panera Bread, at his suggestion. We ate turkey sandwiches. At my prompting, he described his life growing up, a life that seemed altogether unremarkable. He spoke of a number of moments that soured him on mainstream politics, none of them particularly exotic. One was the Republican National Committee’s rule changes, during the 2012 convention, that worked against Mr. Hovater’s preferred candidate at the time, the libertarian Ron Paul, and in favor of Mitt Romney, the eventual Republican nominee. Mr. Hovater called it “the first time I thought about how a system will protect itself, and its own interests, to protect what it is they really want.”

And yet what, of any of this, explained Mr. Hovater’s radical turn? Where was his Rosebud?

After I had filed an early version of the article, an editor at The Times told me he felt like the question had not been sufficiently addressed. So I went back to Mr. Hovater in search of answers. I still don’t think I really found them. I could feel the failure even as Mr. Hovater and I spoke on the phone, adding to what had already been hours of face-to-face conversation in and around his hometown New Carlisle, Ohio.

On the phone, Mr. Hovater responded to my question by rattling off names of libertarian academics, making references to sci-fi movies and describing, yet again, his frustration with what he described as the plodding and unjust nature of American democracy. …

What makes a man start fires?

Let me offer two suggestions for solving this conundrum of what motivates the subject:

First, he’s a heavy metal drummer.

Granted, he’s thoughtful by drummer standards, and hopefully he will move on to more mature ideas. But, still …

Right. It’s like how 1970s punk bands like the Ramones, Sex Pistols, and Mick Jones’ pre-Clash London SS were into Nazi crap for awhile. Why? Because it was stupid and offensive and they liked being stupid and offensive.

Judging from NYT’s profile of Metal Drummer Who Likes Edgy Things, he might well be LARPing as a “Nazi sympathizer” in order to get himself profiled in the NYT.

Second, consider a phrase from Mr. Fausset’s first article about the drummer that help explain his subject’s awareness of a growing anti-white animus in the conventional media, an assertion that happened to sail right through the New York Times’ fact-checking and editorial apparatus:

NYT: “white man”

In 2012, Mr. Hovater was incensed by the media coverage of the Trayvon Martin shooting, believing the story had been distorted to make a villain of George Zimmerman, the white man who shot the black teenager. … But in the aftermath of the shooting, Ms. Hovater found herself on social media “questioning the official story,” taking Mr. Zimmerman’s side and finding herself blocked by some of her friends. Today, she says, she and Mr. Hovater are “pretty lined up” politically. [Bold mine-SES]

Notice the New York Times’ current version of The Narrative: “George Zimmerman, the white man who shot the black teenager.”

The (self-identified) triracial George Zimmerman, (who looks like the son Obama never had with his half-Asian half-white ex-girlfriend Sheila Miyoshi Jager), is not even a “white Hispanic” anymore to the New York Times, he’s been demoted back to being “the white man.”
