Also, relevant something I heard at a lecture last week from Professor Steven Gimbel, author of ‘Einstein’s Jewish Science’, originally a pejorative given by the Nazis, but now the idea of Jewish Science is embraced. Professor Gimbel stipulated that going back to Moses Mendelssohn, there was two main responses to anti-semitism, to turn inwards, like the ultra-orthodox, that all Jews are essentially Hasidim whether they admit it or not, and the attempt to assimilate is bound to fail, so embrace our otherness and trust in Hashem! Or to turn outwards, with universal humanism, to fight for the rights of all peoples (as seen at the time of the French revolution and the emancipation of European Jews to full citizens). The only way Jews can feel safe is if all people are safe, and if one group is targeted that will lead to the eventually targeting of Jews. Einstein used both approaches at different times of his life. But today that would go well with Kevin MacDonald and Richard Spencer, who can see the Secular Jew as fighting for universal humanism as a method to fight anti-Semitism, and hence by nature Jews must fight against White interests. Actually, both seem to fit well with Messianic Prophecy, and the role of ‘Priests to Nations’, as well as you Mr. Ford, that says recent Daf Yomi, that ‘Goyim’ can be judged fully by Hashem, because they can know the truth of Judaism by their dealings with converts! Ramaz admits it employed offender

Dear Ramaz Family,

Last week, SAR sent its community a letter stating that it is launching an investigation into claims of sexual abuse of a former student by Stanley Rosenfeld, a former teacher and administrator employed by SAR in the 1970’s. Reports about sexual abuse by Mr. Rosenfeld, including his pleading no contest to two counts of second degree child molestation in 2001, are extremely disturbing. We are deeply distressed by this recent news and support SAR’s profound commitment to the safety of its students and alumni as it conducts this investigation.

It is in this same vein of protecting our current and past students that we, at Ramaz, are reaching out to our community. Mr. Rosenfeld was also employed at Ramaz as Director of the Primary School (grades 1-3) from 1972-1973. As of today, no one has come forward with any accusations relating to Mr. Rosenfeld’s time at the school. However, given that we now know he is a convicted sexual offender, we owe it to our alumni to investigate Mr. Rosenfeld’s tenure at Ramaz.

Dear WDS Community,

As you may know, within the past 10 days, two area yeshiva day schools have sent messages to their communities regarding a past employee, Stanley Rosenfeld, who pled no contest to two counts of second-degree child molestation in 2001 in Rhode Island. The communications were sent out when allegations came to light, that were previously unreported, of sexual abuse at one of the day schools during Rosenfeld’s tenure in the 1970s. We are writing to you now, as Rosenfeld was also an employee at WDS in the late 1960s/early 1970s. Following the statements from last week, we received information that he engaged in similar misconduct involving at least one WDS student in the early 1970s.

It is extremely upsetting to hear all of this, and in particular to hear that any child was harmed or mistreated by an adult whose job it was to teach and protect that child. As educators and community members, there is nothing more important than the safety and well-being of our students.

At WDS, we are deeply committed to certain values elucidated in our mission statement, including the value of leading with a keen sense of justice and obligation. In that spirit, we have already reached out to the appropriate authorities, to report what we know, and to give them the opportunity to do their important work enforcing the laws that apply to this type of misconduct. Furthermore, we adhere to the value of identifying and responding to the needs of others with sympathy and empathy. Accordingly, we want to hear from anyone who was impacted or has information that they would like to share with us regarding any events of impropriety that took place at WDS. If you would like to reach out, please contact either the Village of Mamaroneck Police Department Detective Sergeant Charles Lanza, our Head of School, Rabbi Joshua Lookstein, or Dr. Naomi Adler, our Director of Student Services and School Psychologist. Information gathered will be passed on to the authorities to assist in their investigation.

We are committed to learn from this process so that we can understand what happened, support those who have been affected, and work to build an even stronger community and safer environment for our students.

Finally, we want to reiterate that nothing is more important to us than the safety and well-being of our students. Westchester Day School continually re-evaluates and updates its policies and practices to promote the safety of our students. These efforts include, for example, conducting extensive background checks on all existing and prospective WDS professionals; providing our faculty with professional development on the subject of appropriate interactions between students and WDS professionals (which we did this past Monday), and teaching principles of internet safety for both students and professionals. In addition, our students are taught not to hesitate to contact the appropriate person when they experience or witness any inappropriate behavior. We will continue these and other efforts to protect our students.

We intend to provide a further update to the community, as appropriate.

The Woman Who Heals

Most men have fantasized that a particular women could make them feel whole if only she’d go to bed with them.

This desire to rescue or be rescued is a symptom of love addiction. It comes from the desire to lose oneself in a process or substance because your life doesn’t work and reality sucks.

When I listen to the following song, I remember a few days spent on the couch at Pacific Union College in February of 1986 and one exciting date that week with an accomplished co-ed that every guy at Monterey Bay Academy wanted to marry, and then after my five days in paradise, I drove home to lonely Newcastle and started the Spring semester at Sierra Community College where my life descended into months of mononucleosis hell, a sneak preview of what was coming for me down the pike.

Living in Seventh-Day Adventist communities growing up, I knew many good people (Seventh-Day Adventists tend to be nurturing) and when I was around them, I felt whole (as opposed to when I was alone, then I felt lousy unless I was drunk with fantasies). I wanted to be adopted into these happy healthy families.

That urge to be adopted, that urge to rescue and be rescued, has never left me, but its severity waxes and wanes. The more I’m moving in the direction of a good life, the more busy I am, the less I feel this urge. The more despair I feel, the greater my need to escape.

I think we all know people who make us feel whole. That yearning is so intense, we usually bollix up the very relationship we imagine can heal us. When others fail to live up to our projections, we blame them or we blame ourselves or we blame God.

The opposite of addiction is connection.

Why Are Some Countries Less Corrupt Than Others? And Why Are They Anglo?

Independent of the econometric methodology applied, we consistently find:

Immigration from corruption-ridden countries boosts corruption in the destination country.

Hence, the international legislators’ fear (as expressed in recent agreements by the G20 group) that immigration may cause a problematic inflow of corruption appears to be justified. Policy-makers will therefore have to take precautions to avoid this problem. However, the optimal response is not obvious. One possibility could be to restrict immigration by only selecting immigrants originating from non-corrupt countries. Alternatively, very careful checks ad personam could be conducted. The downside of this policy is that it could seriously restrict the inflow of migrants, which might not be optimal given that most OECD countries face a severe aging problem and are in need of immigration to keep their social security systems sustainable. An arguably better strategy could be to immunize the domestic population against a corrupt attitude brought into the country by some immigrants and thus preserve the state’s purposeful functionality. One way to achieve this is through better educating the domestic population of the detrimental effects brought about by corruption. This would both raise their awareness and yield a critical state of mind.

What’s More Likely To Produce A Good World?

Following the laws of God or the laws of Nature? That’s the basis of the Judeo-Christian-Muslim conflict with the Alt Right. All of the leading five or so intellectuals of the Alt Right are atheists even though most people who identify with the Alt Right are Christian.

If we follow the laws of nature, we don’t adopt extraordinary measures to keep the sick and dying alive. We practice eugenics. We allow the aristocracy to rule. We don’t view people as primarily made in God’s image. We accept hierarchy. We get rid of the homeless, the crazy, the addicted and the criminally incline. We notice that in nature you don’t have two sub-species living together in peace and so you don’t try to impose multi-culturalism on nations.

On the other hand, if you believe in God and any of the three monotheistic religions, you posit that if people would simply fear God and follow His dictates, we can all get along in peace, no matter our racial differences (unless your religion posits that your group should rule the world, which each of the monotheist faiths does). With monotheism, your opponents aren’t just competitors, they’re evil, they’re opposed to God.

Monotheism has a strong totalitarian streak.

Great exponents of ethical monotheism include Dennis Prager. Great exponents of the natural perspective include Carl Schmitt, Greg Johnson, Richard Spencer, Jared Taylor, etc.

It’s easier to talk to people who are naturalists, because you can limit the discussion to facts and logic while arguing with monotheists means arguing about religious faith, which contains tremendous subjectivity.

The ideology of Mein Kampf is the ideology of the Alt Right (with some superficial PR differences).

The ideology of today’s ruling powers is a weird combination of secular humanism, Judaism, Christianity, capitalism and left-wing thought.
