I notice that many of the Orthodox Jewish clergy joining the “Black Lives Matter” campaign come from the yeshivot of R. Avi Weiss, such as Chovevei Torah and Yeshivat Maharat.
The hardest part about getting arrested was when they took away my necklace.
I had not mentally prepared myself for it, probably because I forgot that I was even wearing it. It is a gold chain with three charms, each bearing the initial of one of my children. The necklace, and subsequent charms, were given to me by dear friends upon the birth first of my daughter four years ago, then added to after the arrival of my second daughter, and finally my son.
The U.S. Marshal was unaware of the significance as she silently unhooked the chain without any warning. Admittedly, I am sure that she was used to far more invasive encounters with people. Moreover, as she collected my earrings, cell phone, driver’s license, and all other non-clothing paraphernalia, one necklace likely seemed inconsequential.
Yet, in that moment, I felt as if my breath had been knocked out of me.
It is because of my three children that I was paraded into jail that day. It was because of them, because of their innocence and their love, that I locked arms with fellow clergy and people of faith to march to the federal courthouse in downtown St. Louis and protest the treatment of blacks and to demand reforms to the criminal justice systems in St Louis, and in America. It was them that I was thinking of as I chanted about democracy and sang songs of freedom. It was their future that I was thinking of as I climbed over a police barricade onto the plaza. It was their world I hoped to change as I walked past the police line to sit in front of the courthouse…

The sharing economy (Uber, AirBNB, etc) depend upon social trust. They simply won’t work well with low IQ people who have less of a future time orientation. Morality is generally proportionate to IQ. Conscience requires the ability for abstract thought, which is measured by IQ.
I know of people who avoid blacks for these reasons. Of course many blacks are law-abiding, but if enough are not, why take the chance?
Police say three teens used a fake handgun to rob an Uber driver early Thursday in Hermosa Beach. But rather than call police, the driver chased the alleged thieves himself, leading to their arrest.
The driver was standing outside his car about 1:20 a.m. in a grocery store parking lot when a teenager approached him, brandished a gun and ordered the driver to hand over his phone and cash, according to the Hermosa Beach Police Department.
The thief fled in a vehicle with two passengers, and the driver chased the trio from the 700 block of Pier Avenue to Lawndale, about four miles away.
At some point, the Uber driver waved down a Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy, who stopped the suspects.

The LA Federation machers even sidestepped it’s own Board of Directors by having it’s Exec Jay Sanderson send out a letter attacking the Iran deal with only the backing of a small, insular executive committee. The insular, undemocratic common perception by the larger Jewish community, which supports the Iran deal, was confirmed. The Jewish backbone of secular Zionistic identified Jews of this community have gathered together to declare that they are are a legitimate Jewish leadership also and a rump group who have steered the LA Federation for years don’t represent their views.
Part of Orthodoxy is a low level of trust of non-Orthodox and civil society. Actually, no one expects the Orthodox establishment to be open to a Iran deal, least of all the Orthodox themselves. Orthodox relate to the non-Orthodox as “babies who were captured” and therefore ignorant of “appropriate attitudes” such as distrust of the non-Jew or non-Orthodox.

Brooklyn, N.Y.
Greeting and Blessing:
This is to acknowledge receipt of your letter of Jan. 26th, in which you write about a serious problem.
As requested, I will remember you in prayer for the fulfillment of your heart’s desires for good.
While all blessings come from HaShem [G‑d], a Jew is expected to do what is necessary in the natural order. In the matter of the said problem, you surely know that there are doctors and psychiatrists who treat it, and have been successful in many cases. I know of a number of cases of people who had this problem but eventually overcame it, married and raised a family.
While on this topic, I would like to clear up a misconception that has led some individuals into confusion and wrong conclusions. The misconception stems from the argument that since some individuals are born with this problem, it must be a “natural” thing; hence it cannot be designated as a wrong, or a sin, and there is therefore no need to do anything to change it, or at any rate, it is not a serious problem at all.
That this approach is entirely without foundation can be seen from the fact that the Torah (called Toras Chaim and Toras Emes because it is our true guide in the everyday life) declares that to indulge in it, or even to dwell on it mentally, is a grave transgression of HaShem’s commandment. Hence, it is also clear that the problem is controllable, for if it were beyond human control, HaShem would not have made it a sin.
The fact that the problem may largely be congenital does not alter the situation. Every day children are born with particular natures and innate tendencies or drives, some of them good and some of them bad. This is why human beings have to be trained and educated, so as to develop and strengthen the positive characteristics and eliminate the bad ones. The Creator endowed human beings with the capacity to improve, indeed even to change, their “natural” (i.e. innate) traits. A case in point is kleptomania. It is generally recognized that kleptomania is a very compulsive drive. But no one will suggests that because it is probably inborn and extremely difficult to resist, the kleptomaniac should be told that it is okay for him to steal, or that there is nothing he can, or should, do about it, and so on. Similarly in the case of one who is born with a drive to destroy things or with a quarrelsome or aggressive nature, with a propensity to cheat or lie, or any other innate trait that is considered reprehensible. No normal society would declare that since one was born that way, one should be allowed to go through life according to his natural desires and tendencies. Such an attitude will help neither the individual, nor the society. On the contrary, everything should be, and is, done to help individuals to overcome their neurological problems, whatever they may be.
Needless to say, the person who is afflicted with this or other neurological problems, may well ask, “Why has HaShem created such a compulsive drive, which is in direct contradiction to His moral Code? Why has He afflicted me, who desires to comply fully with His commandments?”
No human being can answer such questions, which only HaShem, the Creator, can answer. One observation that can be suggested in relation to the question, “Why me?” If an individual experiences a particularly difficult, or trying, situation, it may be assumed that HaShem has given him extraordinary powers to overcome the extraordinary difficulty. The individual concerned is probably unaware of his real inner strength; the trial may therefore be designed for the sole purpose of bringing out in the individual his hidden strength, which, after overcoming his problem, can be added henceforth to the arsenal of his revealed capacities, in order to utilize both for infinitely greater achievements for the benefit of himself, and others.
Maimonides, the “Guide of the Perplexed” of his generation and of all subsequent generations, who was also acclaimed as the greatest physician of his times, declares in a well known passage in his famous Code,Mishneh Torah (Yad Hachazaka): “Every person has the option (power), if he so desires, to direct himself to do only good and be a Tzaddik, or, if he chooses, to fellow the bad road and be a Rasha. Do not ever think that a person is predestined from birth to be a Tzaddik or Rasha. Nor is there any inner compulsion to make a choice, but one has the capacity to choose the right behavior, and it is entirely a matter of one’s own will and determination” (Free translation from Hil. Teshuva, ch. 5. See it there at length).
A final remark from the scientific viewpoint.
To say that the human mind and neural system are unimaginably intricate, is to say the obvious. Only the Creator knows His handiwork. But the Creator has endowed the human mind with wonderful qualities to probe the mysteries of nature, to research and experiment and steadily gain more knowledge about himself and his physical and mental capacities. Considerable progress has been made by scientists in their studies of the brain cells and hormones. It is now clear that a wide range of human emotions and sensations can be stimulated artificially with the aid of electronic and biochemical techniques. It is now generally agreed that most, if not all, neurological disorders, including deviant sexual behavior, probably proceed from chemical (hormone) deficiencies or irregularities during the period of youth. Some neurological disorders are already being treated successfully in certain areas involving the neural system” and it is to be hoped that the range will expand and eventually include the whole spectrum of neurological disorders, both of individuals and of nations.
In the meantime, we can only put our trust in HaShem, and strengthen our adherence to the Torah and Mitzvoth, of which it is written, “‘They are our life and the length of our days.”

From Late Empire: We all need land to survive and arable land is limited. Sometimes things get ugly and the shaved apes bash each other into meaty pulp for a shitty little potato patch.
With that said, we must also realize that the state is an organism and, like a human being, it requires stress in order to survive and thrive. Nothing is static in nature. Either a living organism is getting stronger (logarithmically) or weaker (exponentially).
If the state is not continuously expanding (or preparing to expand), it is contracting. If a state’s borders appear static, it’s only because it’s pushed up against another state that it cannot conquer. That fixed border is actually being upheld with far more pressure than might be visible to the outside observer. We’re trained to believe that borders are fixed, bold lines on a map, and politicians pay lip service to so-called territorial integrity but, in reality, those lines shift back and forth incrementally each and every day. Think of a duck who looks like he’s serenely floating on the surface of a placid pond when, in actuality, the fucker is fiercely kicking at the water in a battle against gravity.
Looking back throughout history, we see states making all sorts of excuses for expansion. The concept of acquiring Lebensraum didn’t start with the Nazis or the Japanese. It’s essentially been a reality since primates started walking upright. This function of humanity has only recently been denoted with a distinction of exoticism by pencil-necked historians and pre-diabetic 10th grade social studies teachers. The reality that tribes expand in numbers, encounter human (or even animal) adversaries, conquer them, and take resources was regarded as a fact of life by the ancients. It’s not anymore though, and that’s by design.
It’s only in this era of global nuclear capacity that war is no longer an attractive option.

To illustrate the collective intellectual dystopia that are the Arab countries, the country of Greece (11 million people) translated five times more books into Greek in 2009 than did the entire Arab world combined (population of 367 million). A 2003 UN study of Arab knowledge (the last study which broached this topic), found that the Arab world accounts for only 1.1% of total book consumption, despite making up 5% of the world population.
So, again, why do I bring this up? Because it is, quite literally, a matter of life and death:
We are now witnessing the emergence of extreme Idiocracy in the Arab countries where the price of intellectual passivity has led to the dumbest ideas dominating the region with the backing of oil dollars.
An unfortunate fact of nature is that if you do not provide people of any value, they will, at best, ignore you. At the worst, they will invade, conquer, and enslave you.
More directly, the deficiency in scientific literacy and subsequent lack of technological output by the Arabs has led them to humiliation and subjugation by adversaries employing superior technology, greater organization, and more convincing propaganda.
The Arab revolutions of this decade have categorically failed due to any concomitant intellectual revolution arising alongside protests that could replace the existing social order–leading to a rotating door of cynical despots who rule through fear.
Lastly, I choose to write about this topic because I believe that hope is not lost. If I thought that the modern Arab IQ disparity was simply a matter of latent, intractable, and inbred dysgenics, I’d consider this subject an open and shut case and write about something else.
To be clear, I share the same belief reflected by the scientific consensus that IQ is largely heritable, while also strongly affected by environmental factors.
The Arab-Israeli Conflict in Context of IQ
The Arab-Israeli conflict illustrates the destructive impact of Arab intellectual malaise and dysgenics (I will discuss dysgenics in the Middle East in another edition of this blog). In the story of colonizer and colonized, intellectual ability–especially when it is perceived to be latent to the genetics of the conqueror and not the conquered–is a particularly sensitive topic.
The picture I am about to paint will likely perturb many readers of all ethnicities, as truths often do. In any case, this topic warrants discussion given what is at stake. Also, I am an empiricist, so if you hold dear the ideas that God or Marxist-derived theories of social justice will improve the sorry lot of the Arabs, I suppose you can ignore this blog entirely and go back to your mental masturbation and futile agitations.
Disclaimers aside, let’s begin…
Arab Intelligence
According to IQ and the Wealth of Nations, Arab populations have a mean IQ of approximately 85. Donald Templer of Alliant International University replicated this finding. This places Arabs about a full standard deviation’s distance away from European populations, who have a mean IQ of 100, and two standard deviations away from the Ashkenazi Jewish population, who have an average IQ of about 115.
It is worth noting that an IQ of 85 or lower used to be regarded as mentally retarded by cognitive scientists until this threshold was shifted down to 75 in the 1960s. There is general agreement, however, that anybody with an IQ within the range of 80 can possibly be categorized as mentally retarded.
Applying these statistics, Egypt, which was historically Israel’s chief adversary up until the late 1970s, had a 1967 population where somewhere between 33-50% of its individuals could be categorized as mentally retarded by European standards. This cognitive deficit is reflected by the extreme poverty that characterizes Egypt today (GDP per capita $3,314 per year), its political instability, and the decisiveness with which its people were defeated on the battlefield by the Israelis in multiple wars.
Does this imply that the Egyptian nation can be characterized as “retarded”? No. What it does imply, however, is that the talent pool available to Egypt from which it could cultivate strategists, technologists, entrepreneurs, and manufacturers has been extremely limited throughout its modern history. It also implies that Egypt has had to deal with dysgenic problems related to low intelligence that Israel does not have to face, such as aforementioned elements of poverty, civil war, sedition, and decreased competitiveness in the world economy.

Ashkenazi IQ and Israel
In 1967, there were roughly 1.6 million Ashkenazi Jews in Israel. This is a population whose IQ is about 115. Assuming that IQ distribution in the Ashkenazi population can be modeled after a typical Caucasian bell curve, this would suggest that roughly 15% of their population is “gifted” by European standards, implied by an IQ score of 130 or above.
This relatively high degree of intelligence explains the prosperity and stability which Israel possesses within its borders. Israel is one of the technological capitals of the world–Intel develops their chips there, and some of the world’s best aviation and military technology has been developed and manufactured by Israelis in Israel. On the battlefield, the best their adversaries have managed to affect against their military machine is stalemate, and the Jews have repeatedly embarrassed and humiliated the Arabs throughout the course of their short history.
Why IQ Matters
Perhaps it goes without saying that, if you want a sophisticated military with advanced technology and hundreds of thousands of personnel at your disposal, you need smart people to design, manage, and coordinate it. Modern militaries have an extremely high number of variables to account for–picture all of the troops, tanks, watercraft, fighter jets, supply trains, communications networks, and maintenance logistics that need to be accounted for. Then factor in the extreme pressure that military leaders are under in existential wars like the one fought by the Arabs and Israelis in 1967. The responsibilities are absolutely massive and the room for error is extremely small.
Furthermore, air forces–the crux of modern military superiority– require very intelligent personnel to operate effectively. The US air force, for example, requires its fighter pilots to have an IQ that is between one and two standard deviations above the average population. The people actually building the aircraft are essentially geniuses.
Comparing the Populations
I am assuming that the Arab and Israelis both follow a Caucasian distribution curve of intelligence for this comparison. I am also (perhaps arbitrarily) choosing to make a numerical comparison of the number of people within the “gifted” intelligence bracket rather than simply “smart.”

If we stack up every country involved in the 1967 war by total population, then count the number of intellectually “gifted” (IQ greater than or equal to 130), individuals in the population, we observe:
Egypt
Total population: 33 million
Gifted population: 33,000
Syria
Total population: 5,760,000
Gifted population: 5,760
Jordan
Total population: 1,278,000
Gifted population: 1,278
Israel
Ashkenazi population: 1,700,000
Gifted Ashkenazi population: 255,000
So, in other words, the total gifted population in Israel in 1967 was more than six times the number of that in all of its Arab adversaries’ countries combined. This qualitative difference in intelligence has translated to an overwhelming advantage for Israel, and the Arabs would do well to learn this lesson.

Daniel de Porto: First of all, the only country giving money to Israel is the U.S., and that money can only be used to purchase weapons from American companies, thus benefiting these American companies financially.
Second, Israel is America’s greatest ally in that region and greatly benefits from the intelligence Israel shares with them.
Third, not only America, but the entire world benefits from the amazing breakthroughs in technology, science, medicine and agriculture that has emerged from Israel in the 67 short years it’s been in existence.
Fourth, people seem to forget that the state of Israel has only been in existence for 67 years. America was not the global superpower it is now back in 1843, when it was 67 years old. Also, unlike Israel, America was not surrounded on every side of its borders by enemy states that vowed to destroy her on a continuous basis. They were allowed to grow and thrive on their own. Imagine how successful Israel would be now if they were bordered by friendly non-Muslim countries?
The fact that Israel still exists at all and has the success it has says volumes on the tenacity, ingenuity and brilliance of the Jewish mind. Israel is America’s best friend in the region and they’re damn lucky to have her!
I think you are bright enough to realize that for every Bernie Madoff, there are thousands of Jews that have benefited society. And for every Bernie Madoff, there are also hundreds of thousands of Gentiles that committed much greater crimes against humanity.

Ann Coulter writes: Americans have got to drop their weird verbal tic of inserting “illegal” into any discussion of immigration.
After I pointed out on “Fox News” that the dispute between Sen. Rand Paul and Gov. Chris Christie over spying on “Americans” was entirely a problem of immigration, “Fox Insiders” put these two sentences together:
“[Coulter] explained that halting illegal immigration would help solve other key issues such as the economy and national security. ‘Don’t make terrorists citizens through immigration, and we’ll have a lot less of a national security problem,’ Coulter said, pointing to the attacks at the Boston Marathon and in Chattanooga.” (Emphasis added.)
Were those guys illegals? Did Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev swim across the Rio Grande to get to Boston? Did Mohammad Youssef Abdulazeez hire coyotes to sneak him across the border so he could shoot four Marines and a sailor in Chattanooga?
No. Our government invited them in.

the “local man” arrested this week for trying to organize an army of ISIS fighters in New York and New Jersey, Nader Saadeh—anchor baby “American citizen.”
ALL LEGAL IMMIGRANTS AND THEIR CHILDREN! Why were any of them in this country? What are we getting out of this?
It’s not just the Fox website. Wherever I go on this book tour, I find people injecting “illegal” into the discussion, as if they’re being polite, like saying “Jewish” instead of “Jew.” But all these “homegrown,” “American” terrorists aren’t Americans, at all—except as a result of recent government policy.
The “New Jersey men” were Mohamed Mahmood Alessa and Carlos Eduardo Almonte. Alessa, born to legal immigrants from Jordan and the Palestinian territories, told his Boy Scout troop, “Osama bin Laden is a hero in my family” and expressed a desire to mutilate homosexuals and subordinate women. (He was the first member of his troop to earn a merit badge in female circumcision.)
Alessa’s co-conspirator, Almonte, is a legal immigrant from the Dominican Republic. (Raising suspicions, he doesn’t play baseball.) He could be heard on a wiretap saying that he wanted U.S. troops to come home “in caskets.”
He also attended an anti-Israel rally with a large sign reading “DEATH TO ALL JUICE,” which he posted to his Facebook page—a social media platform created by a juice. (Naturalization officials must have high-fived one another when they got that guy.)
CNN was so relieved to have a “homegrown” terrorist who wasn’t a Muslim, the network abandoned its own rule book and identified Almonte as the child of “Latino immigrants”—amid fulsome descriptions of him as “an all-American kid” and an “all-American altar boy.”
So the good news is: Not all “American” terrorists are Muslim immigrants. Some are Latino immigrants—who typically become radicalized after coming into contact with one of our prized Muslim immigrants.
At least he’s not one of those icky illegal immigrants!
I have a word limit, so I’ve limited today’s discussion of legal immigrants to the terrorists. But I note that the big news this week is about an illegal immigrant, Victor Aureliano Martinez Ramirez, who raped, then murdered 64-year old Marilyn Pharis with a hammer at her home in Santa Maria, California. Has anyone noticed that Martinez Ramirez’s co-conspirator in the rape-torture-murder was legal immigrant Jose Fernando Villagomez? (Below.)
The one on the left is illegal, the one on the right is legal. Do the victims care?
It’s getting to the point where we’re going to need cattle prods and shock collars to break people of the neurotic compulsion to slip “ILLEGAL” in front of the word “immigrant.” The reality of legal immigration cannot make a dent in the elite’s make-believe world, where legal immigrants are only hot Swedish models, Rupert Murdoch and Sergey Brin.
Instead of Christie and Paul sparring over government policy on search warrants in a post-9/11 world, could we reconsider the government policy of admitting legal immigrants who need to be spied on?
