Interventions may temporarily raise kids’ IQs, but there is fadeout over time

From the University of California at Santa Barbara: The winner of a decades-old debate about what scientists call the fadeout effect — one of the most persistent research mysteries in intelligence and psychological development — may finally have been decided.

Following a meta-analysis of experimental methods to determine whether or not the benefits of early interactions designed to raise intelligence remain over time, UC Santa Barbara postdoctoral researcher John Protzko found that the positive effects on intelligence actually diminish after a particular intervention ends. Protzko’s study marks the first quantitative analysis of the fadeout effect across nearly every known intervention that has attempted to improve early intelligence.

The findings, which appear in the journal Intelligence, have important implications for the long-term benefits of programs such as Head Start, a federal initiative that promotes school readiness of children under 5 from low-income families through education, health, social and other services.

“Many theories of cognitive development and the relationship between the environment and intelligence are not able to account for the fadeout effect,” said Protzko, who is a member of the META (Memory, Emotion, Thought, Awareness) Lab in the Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences at UCSB. “Reciprocal interaction models, for example, put forward that no such fading would occur. It turns out that when you raise children’s intelligence, they may not go out and select into new, more cognitively demanding environments. Other traits may be driving what environments children select into.”

The 44 randomized controlled trials that Protzko analyzed for the study included a total of 7,584 young children. He found that those in the experimental groups lost their IQ gains, rather than the control group catching up. According to Protzko, this provides a clear demonstration that intelligence fades over time.

“That actually tells us a lot about the role of the environment in the development of intelligence,” Protzko said. “It shows that intelligence is reactionary. While providing interventions will raise intelligence, once they’re over, intelligence reacts by adapting to the new, lesser demands.

“If you take kids and put them in a Head Start program, for example, then they’ll be smarter and their academic achievement will be better,” Protzko added. “But when you take that away and put them back in with everybody else, they’re going to adapt to that new system. It doesn’t work in any permanent sort of way.”

Protzko is careful to reiterate that his work in no way posits that early interventions are doomed to fail or that they are of no value. “This paper doesn’t argue that intelligence cannot be raised,” he said. “Instead, it urges that a critical assumption long held — that increases to intelligence are permanent — be questioned and rejected. I believe it is still a good thing to intervene and try to change the trajectory for these children.”

All of the studies included in the analysis were done on young children, Protzko noted. “To know if the fadeout effect is applicable to other demographics like adolescents, young adults or the elderly, there would need to be a push toward long-term follow-up — two, three, four, five years, maybe even longer — for these groups as well,” he concluded.

Steve Sailer: National Immigration Safety and Quality Board vs. the Farook Family

Steve Sailer writes: “An idée fixe of mine is that there should be an independent National Immigration Safety and Quality Board to investigate spectacularly screwed-ups results of the immigration process and issue advisories on how the system can be reformed to let in only better quality people. There are 7 billion foreigners in the world, hundreds of millions of whom would like to move to America, so there’s no good reason why America should have policies that let in so many crummy people like the Farook Family.”

Chaim Amalek: “Why are such people in the West? Because Christendom produced such leaders as Lyndon Johnson, Ted Kennedy, George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton (I know, he was never actually a leader, but still, he did hold the title of one), George W. Bush (with Jeb! in the wings), Tony Blair, and Angela Merkel. Christians are their own worst enemy.”

Comments to Steve Sailer:

* One thing I’ve come to realize is that non-discrimination is a sacred value. It’s not only one value to be balanced against others. It’s the first principle, and can never be questioned.

Want to cut back on Muslim immigration? Extremist! Reasonable people would rather have mass surveillance and never-ending war.

I watched too much Fox News today. There’s this fool named Greg Gutfeld, who is always telling us Islamic extremism is the greatest threat to mankind, something our children will worry about on a daily basis. He fancies himself some sort of brave truth teller, and his mockery of campus leftists is occasionally entertaining. But he never, ever brings up immigration when talking about this supposedly greatest threat in the history of mankind.

It’s truly depressing. We need Trump for the cultural change it’ll bring. When the president is offending every group under the sun, maybe we’ll have our own perestroika. As things stand, the sacred principle can’t be questioned, and if not Trump (and it’s a long shot)I don’t know what will ever wake the country up out of its stupor.

* A day and half since the shooting and no pics of International Missus Martyrdom Mystery Malik. Shouldn’t the federal government have her picture on file as part of the greencard process? Wouldn’t it be a good idea for them to release it, so if someone had seen her doing something sketchy they could report it?

* It’s interesting that the notion of not receiving immigrants from certain nations at all is unthinkable racism and ethnic bigotry. Obviously that’s what it is, when disparate impact is the moral equivalent of intent, and that’s a fact we all agreed to in common, rigorous debate preceding our great enthusiasm, boy that was a day to remember wasn’t it, when we made that an institution what a day that was, what fun I got shitfaced everyone got laid no disparities.

So anyways we know it would be that, evil sin utter nazism, even though we know it would be about propensities to murder. So our certainties are literally absurd, and our values are practically suicidal, worse than suicidal even, because suicide is far more respectable than retarding defense against murderers, of your children, for no good reason at all.

But what’s interesting is the absolute universal perfection of the principle’s application. (Are any nations flat barred?) I don’t know how the functionaries slice the thing. When can you say it’s ok to say “might be pro-murder”? He’s from Saudi Arabia. He’s from this town. His family are these people. This lists the friends he lists. This is his story, etcetera. When does suspicion become decisively suspicious? Do they even deal with mere likelihood? I would bet they do not deal with likelihood but only proved connection. Does it only become OK to say he might be out for murder when we know his plan?

But the most interesting question is: why is this matter of how we decide who to let in unknown to me I mean I read the media? Why does no politician exploit what is doubtless about the incompetents of bureaucrats, and say this is how we fix what is vital: None of these fuckers from Pakistan no more.

* The visual identity of “Tashfeen Malik” is complicated by the fact that apparently Syed Farook has a brother who is a US Navy veteran who is married to a Russian born woman (Tatiana Farook) who is, actually, quite a babe. My photo posted earlier today, which I found on an Australian site, is apparently of her and the “other” brother who has the same first name, Syed.

I think we are finally getting some clarity here since some seem to be distancing themselves from the identification of Tatiana as “Tashfeen Malik”, which I have found in other sources as a legit Arabic (male) name for a famous Jihadist from the 12th Century. (I had reversed the letters earlier, but in Arabic script it is “Tashfeen”.)

Here are a two new links, as before, for what it’s worth, and maybe, not much:

From the more or less reputable Daily Mail:

From the unknown provenance “Daily Entertainment”:

An older link from a Palestinian journo.

* Daily Mail: “The radicalized San Bernardino gunman clashed with a Jewish co-worker over religion just two weeks before he and his Pakistani wife stormed an office holiday party where they massacred 14 people……Syed Farook, 28, got into a heated argument with colleague Nicholas Thalasinos, a Messianic Jew who was identified today as one of the victims of Wednesday’s rampage……it is unclear if the earlier argument between Farook and Thalasinos played any role in the massacre – but authorities said Farook had left the party ‘angry’.

both men worked as county restaurant inspectors and regularly discussed politics and religion. Thalasinos was passionate about pro-Israel causes and was known to rant about Islam on Facebook. The New York Post reported that Thalasinos’ Facebook page was filled with negative comments about Muslims and references to his conservative beliefs.“

* How about no immigrants from Pakistan and Saudi Arabia?

Chaim Amalek: “That’s racist! Instead demand of our politicians RECIPROCAL immigration with respect to these countries: we take in no more people from them than they took in from ours in the previous year. Problem solved, without need of any invidious discussion of the relative merits of our respective societies.”

* People who want to emigrate to a foreign land thousands of miles away and leave their families and friends behind, these people are often greedy, or just jerks, sociopaths, or mentally unstable or have some mental illness such as incipient schizophrenia or bipolar. Immigrants are often biological machines that don’t work quite right. These are often people who don’t have many friends and whose family dislikes them. Quite often, not always, there is something wrong with them, which explains why they couldn’t make it in their homeland.

I say drop immigration to a mere pittance–doctors, nurses, scientists, that is the only sort of people we need.

* What happened in San Bernardino was getting off easy as far as insulting The Prophet on Facebook is concerned.

* Americans love fantasy football — why not use a similar approach? Have an online “draft” of prospective immigrants, with each having a “card” showing their photo, country of origin, level of English proficiency, religion, education/skills, etc. The whole process could be self-funding: in addition to prospective immigrants’ fees, American citizens could pay $10 or $100 or whatever to draft a team of immigrants. Pics that get green cards win points for them by becoming net tax payers, and lose points by breaking the law or going on welfare.

* Yep.

Truck driving.

Another job Americans can’t or won’t do.

* Hannity is actually pro-Trump. He always defends him when others criticize, and I heard him say he’s one of the three Republicans he’s thinking about supporting. He used to give Ann Coulter a platform too, before she said the thing about the Jews and stopped being allowed on TV.

* Women have run the social/political show for decades now. They have made great strides protecting women at home and in the workplace.
Serious question: How can they justify/agree with allowing the immigration of the most patriarchal, domestically violent, woman hating culture of men, into their country?
Does multiculturalism exceed feminism?

* Basically a Clash of Civilizations episode with free speaking American/Jewish culture meeting and colliding with Paki/Muslim culture celebrating Charlie Hebdo/Satanic Verses type delicate sensitivities leading to Supernova.

The Power of HIV-Positive Thinking

Jim Goad writes: There are multiple documented cases of people purposely infecting others with HIV, which makes me puke just a little bit more into the bag.

“While most people try to avoid acquiring viruses online, these fellas make it their mission.”

But surely one of the sickest, saddest, and most revolting social phenomena of the past, I don’t know, ten thousand years is a small yet virulent sub-community of gay men who actively seek to become infected with HIV. While most people try to avoid acquiring viruses online, these fellas make it their mission.

They are known as “bugchasers.” The men who willingly infect them with HIV, usually straight up the cornhole without a condom and hopefully with a little bit of blood smeared into the spermy fecal mix, are known as “giftgivers.”

Feeling sick yet?

The bugchaser/giftgiver “community” is but a tiny subset of the larger “barebacking” scene of homo dudes who have unprotected sex without the explicit intent of getting infected or infecting someone else. Again, that’s a bit more passive than doing it on purpose, but if you wind up weighing ten pounds and shitting your diapers because you have AIDS, the difference is nearly meaningless.

Some bugchasers say they merely operate from a sort of suicidal impatience and simply want to “empower” themselves by taking their HIV infection into their own hands—to be precise, their own asses—because it’d be a relief to just go ahead and “get it over with” since they’re not going to stop having sex with bajillions of partners anyway. Some say they feel it’d be a relief to actually know you’re HIV-positive than having to, you know, worry about it.

Others eroticize the act of getting infected—or, as they call it, “charged” or “pozzed”—framing it as the ultimate sexual taboo, and who wouldn’t be thrilled by that?

Still others say that by purposely allowing their HIV-positive partners to infect them, they are choosing to enter a quasi-mystical “brotherhood” of gay men, a spiritual fraternity dedicated to fight a hatefully straight society that stigmatizes and is bigoted against the act of infecting yourself with a fatal disease by asking someone to squirt his HIV-positive cum up your rectum. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face!

Finally, there are those who frame it as the gay version of reproducing. They refer to it as “breeding,” getting “knocked up,” or even being “impregnated.”

Pentagon Opening All Combat Roles in Military to Women

Comments to Steve Sailer:

* This is almost a comical level of disassociation from reality. For those who are familiar with the Bible (and if you are not you should be) the foolishness has gone beyond Proverbs level and has entered Isaiah level (that is not a good thing, for the record).

* Because nothing gets America juiced up and clamoring for war like the thought of some poor woman being held by jihadis. So we will send a couple platoons of pretty white girls to Syria where they can be captured. In a few weeks there will be jihadi videos decapitating or torturing them. After that, every politician in America will be demanding full scale war against every Arab country.

* Trump is a Sailer reader. Watching him on Hannity and he says we need to retaliate against terrorist family members. I suspect he got (or his advisors anyway) the idea from Sailer’s taki article on 4 ways to save Europe

It’s a pretty common sense approach, which I always thought was necessary, but only Sailer can verbalise it so well..

This is really turning out to be a Sailer/Breitbart News election….

* There was a Chuck Norris movie in the 1980s called Invasion USA. The plot was that a bunch of Muslim terrorists entered the US via Zodiac boats. What a quaint idea! They could have just applied for visas.

* The Selective Service System is the last sane bureau in the entire federal government. Largely because no one’s paid it any attention since 1980. Don’t screw it up.

Its very existence is a tacit admission that double standards can be valid.

* Let’s just ban men entirely from the US military.

Then we can sit back and see how much women like doing this job that men have had the “privilege” of doing for so long.

Of course then the sea lanes would be stolen from the world in short order, air and space would be lost in a flash, and we would be conquered overnight by the first opportunistic army to come along.

* America has already been invaded. It’d be more accurate to say America is being colonized. Immigrants who don’t assimilate are really colonists.

* Why the hell would anyone invade us, when they can come here freely and suffer no risk of death?

The real people who suffer from this will be the women who join the military and wind up getting sent into battle. The amount of gear you have to carry into battle is hell on the backs of even lots of strong men. Good luck if you’re a woman trying to do that.

I’m not really sure this is meant as a serious policy. It’s either meant to completely destroy the military, or to bait Republicans into fighting “the war on women.” A responsible Republican administration will have to reverse this, and it will make them look bad.

* In 2003 a female reporter with the Chicago Tribune was embedded with the 101st Airborne Division in Iraq. The reporter, Kirsten Scharnberg, recounted her experiences with trying to live in the field and keep up with the soldiers in an article entitled A woman goes to war in a man’s world. Here are some choice excerpts from this Iowa-raised farm girl who had run a marathon before the war.

“After learning that I was to be the Tribune’s only female embedded journalist, I promised myself never to write the woman-on-the-front-lines story.

It just wouldn’t be an issue. I would find a way to blend in. I wouldn’t be treated differently because I wouldn’t let anyone treat me differently.

The soldiers I had met up with said I could accompany them into the city–a 4-mile hike. I didn’t know whether I could hike 4 feet with all that gear, let alone 4 miles, but we set out. At about mile 2 1/2, I was about to give out. I was contemplating saying something needlessly melodramatic like, “Go ahead, save yourselves,” when a soldier asked, “Ma’am, can I carry that battery for you?”

All my resolve failed. I handed the battery to the young man–who already was lugging a much heavier load than I was, including a fully loaded M-4 assault weapon that he would be expected to use in case of an attack.

The decision nagged at me for days. Not only had I not been able to pull my own weight, I also had potentially put that young soldier at risk. What if he had not been able to aim his weapon effectively had we been ambushed in that wooded expanse of territory approaching Najaf? What if he had fallen on the rough terrain and misfired his weapon, injuring someone?

As tough as I think I was out there, as proud as I am to have lived for more than two months in conditions I never dreamed possible, those questions bother me still.

Back in Chicago recently, the Tribune had a welcome-home party for a bunch of us who had covered the war. A female editor asked me whether my experience had given me an opinion about putting female soldiers into the infantry and on the front lines. I told her about the car battery and also about the many times I watched big, tough, burly male soldiers nearly collapse during 10-kilometer hikes with rucksacks, ammunition, TOW missiles, radios and machine guns. I’m not qualified to say that no woman could do that job, but I suspect that it would be a rare one who could.

I had run a marathon not long before the war and worked out almost every day. I grew up on an Iowa farm where manual labor was part of the bargain. But I had been bested by a car battery, and when I handed my load to that soldier, I admitted that I never could have cut it in the infantry.”

My guess is she was in better shape than most of the females going into the military today. I wonder if Ash Carter has read this first hand account. God help the infantry.

* Captured female soldiers being raped and or used as sex slaves is a distinct possibility. Becoming the star of an ISIS snuff film/propaganda video is also in the cards.

* Just the other day, my 40kg girlfriend was wearing her child-sized pink Converse sneakers and saying, “I’d love to shoot me some towel-heads–if only I could have a combat assignment in the army! Life is so unfair…” when my 60 year old mother replied, “Yes, deary, I really wanted to squat next to a jungle trail for hours, waiting to put some bullets in the Viet Cong, but the army has been holding us back for years!”
That’s when my grandmother put down her tea and said, “I always said these hands were made for throttling Krauts, not holding teacups. My youth was wasted!”

* There are some very high quality people who join the armed forces, and some very low quality ones, but I personally think they are all daft to do so, the women are slightly more so. As the Sailersphere knows full well, the threat to America is through immigration not ground wars. If we were under real threat from these Arab holes we could simply let the air force drop some bombs from a comfy chair. No, these wars are for show and profit, and for the greater good of Israel. No thanks. Not worth my life or a soldier’s life… why can’t they see that?

* We need a rapid response team consisting entirely of women and we can send them over to Syria and see how they do. If having a Japanese Regiment was OK in WWII then why not an Amazon Regiment?

Sometimes you have to let your kids fall off the bike before they learn a lesson.

* Do you think uglier officers would send prettier soldiers on more dangerous missions out of spite?

Or hold them back out of concupisence?

* First, the Russians and others were in dire straits and had to use women in a manner akin to scrapping the bottom of the barrel.

Second, they were used on their home turf to fight an invader. Because of this, both males and females, were able to get resupplied by friendly villagers and nearby weapons caches that were located throughout the countryside. So these folks did not need to carry heavy rucksucks full of food and ammo to sustain themselves for multiple days.

The US Army on the other hand is an expeditionary force. Ideally it means we won’t fight on our home turf. As a result we have to take our gear with us. Soldiers going out on patrol must carry a lot of gear because they might have to sustain themselves for 3 days or more without support. They don’t have the luxury of buried caches or helpful villagers. Notice how the Russians used scorched earth to deny the Germans anything they could scrounge on Russian soil.

This is why women are going to kill the infantry. If one soldier in the squad cannot carry his load, the load is not left behind. It is simply redistributed among the rest of the squad members. Not only does each squad member carry a few days rations of food and water, he carries his personal ammunition PLUS he will carry extra rounds for the crew served weapons that are attached to the squad.

For example, everyone will have to carry one or two rounds of 60mm mortar ammunition along with a couple of 100 round boxes of ammunition for the medium machine gun. If one guy pulls up lame, the other guys have to double up. That story of the lady reporter giving up her load to the already burdened infantrymen is going to be repeated a lot unfortunately.

* If you listened to Serial (season 1), you’ll remember that Rabia Chaudry is the name of the woman who inspired Sarah Koenig to investigate the case to begin with–and that, among other things, she complained that Adnan Syed was a helpless victim of The Backlash. It seems very likely that the Rabia Chaudry of Maryland quoted in the Post story is the same woman. If so, she has quite the talent for attracting attention from the national media.

The Widening Racial Scoring Gap on the SAT College Admissions Test

From the Journal of Blacks in Higher Education:

In 2005, 153,132 African Americans took the SAT test. They made up 10.4 percent of all SAT test takers. But only 1,132 African-American college-bound students scored 700 or above on the math SAT and only 1,205 scored at least 700 on the verbal SAT. Nationally, more than 100,000 students of all races scored 700 or above on the math SAT and 78,025 students scored 700 or above on the verbal SAT. Thus, in this top-scoring category of all SAT test takers, blacks made up only 1.1 percent of the students scoring 700 or higher on the math test and only 1.5 percent of the students scoring 700 or higher on the verbal SAT. . . . .

If we raise the top-scoring threshold to students scoring 750 or above on both the math and verbal SAT — a level equal to the mean score of students entering the nation’s most selective colleges such as Harvard, Princeton, and CalTech — we find that in the entire country 244 blacks scored 750 or above on the math SAT and 363 black students scored 750 or above on the verbal portion of the test. Nationwide, 33,841 students scored at least 750 on the math test and 30,479 scored at least 750 on the verbal SAT. Therefore, black students made up 0.7 percent of the test takers who scored 750 or above on the math test and 1.2 percent of all test takers who scored 750 or above on the verbal section.

Once again, if we eliminate Asians and other minorities from the calculations and compare only blacks and whites, we find that 0.2 percent of all black test takers scored 750 or above on the verbal SAT compared to 2.2 percent of all white test takers. Thus, whites were 11 times as likely as blacks to score 750 or above on the verbal portion of the test. Overall, there were 49 times as many whites as blacks who scored at or above the 750 level.

On the math SAT, only 0.16 percent of all black test takers scored 750 or above compared to 1.8 percent of white test takers. Thus, whites were more than 11 times as likely as blacks to score 750 or above on the math SAT. Overall, there were more than 61 times as many whites as blacks who scored 750 or above on the math section of the SAT.

Why Are These New College Protesters So Thick?

Steve Sailer writes:

But they also aren’t really good students, so the ideas articulated by protesters aren’t very intellectually impressive. In contrast, back in the 1960s, campus radicals were heavily Jewish. So the reigning theories, while puerile, were at least clever. And the clever radicals tended to attract some hot babes. So the Sixties were a big deal, because beautiful young women are always a big deal, as is whatever they think is cool at the moment.

In contrast, the shrieking black coeds of 2015 tend to be neither clever nor hot. And everybody kind of realizes that, deep down, that’s what they are shrieking about — their lack of either cleverness or hotness. But who wants to point that out and get shrieked at yourself? But the shrieking black coeds can kind of sense that they are coming across as thick, mentally and physically, which just makes them shriek louder: a feedback cycle.

Comments:

* The media wants to get blacks, women, and other traditionally Democratic groups riled up for the 2016 election. Hillary’s not looking so hot, and they figure every vote counts. (Note also that Missouri is a swing state.) So, play up a few things that you think will get people turning out, and Hillary wins again.

I’d also add the 60s campus radicals also had to be afraid of being sent to Vietnam and dying, so their protests may have seemed a little more serious. And, in terms of cultural heft, they had much better music.

* Keeping in mind UVA last year, that was at least partially motivated by bad grades, we might say that “claims of persecution are the last refuge of the failing student.”

Why now? Not sure, but I don’t think it’s being engineered by Dems. I see #BLM and WM Privilege as stemming from the same root that drove Same Sex Marriage. Which in turn derives from the particular American characteristic of revivalist moral improvement. It’s just the way we are: we fasten on something and get really excited about it, and deliver hysterical attacks on anyone who disagrees with us, and then we move on.

* Groups are used and discarded by the system as it needs them. JFK was “Peak Ethnic”- the white ethnics had their turn, and were then turned on by the system. Everything had been accomplished that they were useful for, and they were no longer needed. Blacks were the new favored group.

Obama in the same fashion is Peak Negro. Actually the left lost interest in blacks as a constituency a long time ago, turning to women and gays. But blacks still had to get their turn, and they got little for it. A lot of people, even Republicans, have been talking about backing off on criminal justice but it may never happen. Obama’s primary accomplishments were Obamacare, which benefits blacks little, gay marriage, which blacks don’t care about, and gays in the military, which blacks don’t care about.

Blacks have come to realize in the last few years they have been passed by, even with a black president. Obama isn’t even an American black, but a mulatto of foreign parentage. The country has long had Negro fatigue, and with Obama a lame duck none of their issues will be addressed. It’s not like he cared that much about those in the first place.

Blacks want more than anything an easing off of criminal justice, back from the strict policies that came about in the 80′s and 90′s. Again people make noises about this, but legislation is another thing altogether. Blacks want government jobs, but government isn’t hiring a lot, and there has to be room for new “diversity” like the San Bernardino shooter.

The one trend that may benefit blacks, as frequently visited by our host, is moving blacks to the old suburbs. But even this doesn’t benefit them- they move from one worn out housing stock to another, and without the density and public transportation that helps support their lifestyle.

Education is indeed the one place spoils are still available, and the best place for blacks to grab some. But I think they are driven more by rage at realizing they are being set aside, and a desire to influence the system while there is still a black president and a black AG.

* A solution might be to match up blacks and athletes as roommates. The best justification I ever heard for Ivy athletics is that Yale has to have a bottom 25% of the class, as a matter of arithmetic, and athletes don’t mind being there because their self-worth isn’t tied up with GPA like everyone else’s. If you didn’t have athletes, a quarter of your students would be miserable, vindictive, and generally pathetic.

* I especially like the DEMAND that basically everyone with a pulse should be paid $25 an hour. I mean why did it take so long for someone to think of that …..

Meanwhile, at Yale, the STEM professors are being criticized for being out of touch, but mainly for refusing to criticize the woman who said people should be able to do what they want on Halloween. So we are definitely at the “agree with me or else” stage.

At the same site, you can read about how both Yale and Harvard have abolished the word “Master” and replaced it with “Head”, which among other things implies that I didn’t earn two master’s degrees, I got two degrees in head. Come to think of it, that’s not a necessarily completely inaccurate description of my graduate school career.

MORE:

* Blacks seem to have strangely weak-strong social ties. Your typical NBA star might not know the names of his seven kids, but if his buddy needs $250,000 to “start a restaurant,” no problem. I think some blacks might get disoriented by all the rhetoric about “the Dartmouth community” and say, hey, what about me? If this is the Dartmouth community, where is my BMW in the parking lot? When the Zappos guy Tony Hsieh started a “community” in Las Vegas, he had to stop using “community” because that was code for “grant application” and he kept getting grant applications from members of the community. “We found that when we used the word ‘community,’ there were a lot of groups that suddenly expected us to donate money to them or invest in them just because they lived in the community or because it was for a good cause,” Hsieh wrote to VEGAS INC. “People would be upset if donating or investing in them did not happen to fit in with our priorities and business goals, and they would refer back to our use of the word ‘community.’” I think Dartmouth and Yale are running into the same thing.

* Wasn’t there quite a bit of writing on the African matrifocal family? Paternal ties are weak, tribal ties somewhat stronger?

* Remember my first theory about Mizzou was that the black profs weaponized the black students to blackmail the administration into hiring more black profs. That theory, while probably valid in some way, wasn’t sexy enough, to explain something that drastic, and I now think that it was a massive professor-led mutiny against Tim Wolfe. I have condensed it all into one neat convenient bookmarkable blog post.

I happen to think that one of the motive-obvious demands of the Black Autumn extortion mobs is that they want to be able to graduate from college without actually having to do any work and without one red cent of student loan debt. Sure, a lot of them want to stay and be turned around as black studies profs, but for most affirmative action blacks, getting the college sheepskin is the golden ticket to getting affirmative action government or quango jobs, easy sinecures. But, they want to be able to get them without devoting any of their income to student loan repayments.

* I’ve never met a black person that could handle even mid-tier engineering (i.e. engineering at a state school rather than MIT/CalTech, etc). I’m sure they exist, but they are exceedingly rare (and are snatched up by MIT/CalTech etc). (a quick discussion of the numbers: 244 blacks exceed 750 on the math portion of the SAT. Split them between high end colleges, then physics, economics, math, engineering, computer science, other sciences, and even business throughout the country. How many are likely to study electrical engineering at Colorado State or Alabama? The pool is exceedingly small).

* One of the myths in this piece is the assertion that classroom life at an Ivy is as tough as the admissions process. Anyone who has had experience on an Ivy campus, or any of the New Ivies for that matter, will tell you it is not much different from the average state campus, in terms of classroom difficulty. There’s a reason why the graduation rates are close to 100% at these schools. The vetting is all done at admissions. After that, the only way to fail is not show up or commit a crime.

* I tend to think the kids are doing this because the society (the NY Times, T. Genius Coates, Twitter, etc) is telling them it’s a Good Thing to Do.

Look, you go to your average integrated public high school and it’s not like every black girl in your class is going to be a source of panic and disruption. Plenty will be quiet and studious- there’s a reason the percentage of black girls attending college keeps going up. Many of them won’t have the skills to graduate from their local community college, let alone Princeton or Yale, but they’re doing their best, and not pinning the principal in his office and screaming about oppression.

Later, I taught at one of the Black Automn places, including one of the girls in the background of one of the videos. She was okay as a student, enthusiastic if distractable in class and not quite at the bottom of the class on tests. (Because of just how strong Asian and nerdy white students are at these places, but how many disaffected jocks there also are, the distribution of grades tends to be very very wide on any test with objective content.) There were better black students in previous years, in the upper half of the distribution even.

But when she and one of her friends stayed after class one day discussing their plans for the next few days, it was clear that it was one event in the Oppression Olympics after another, a continuous round of low-level protest and consciousness raising, all paid for by university budget and facilitated by university staff. Meanwhile, the President was already abasing himself on racial issues on a regular basis, sending out horiffically contrite emails in response to the most anodyne occurrences and being confronted by brigades of students for not being contrite enough even then. The sense of entitlement has been deliberately cultivated over years and years. And now the protesters are just repeating the same words they hear in every corner of respectable opinion.

Now that we have a prestige media that speaks with one voice, endorsing views on race that only wacky 19-year-old activists used to old, now that old gray-haired college administrators are on board with reparations as a Genius idea, what are wacky 19-year-old activists going to do? They have to just get louder and more threatening, just to stand out.

* This theory of blacks being underqualified can be applied to blacks just about everywhere. Kind of a Peter Principle applied to affirmative action recipients. A person who is able to claim affirmative action privilege is always going to be accepted or promoted into a position for which they are not otherwise qualified. Resulting in stress and micro aggressions being perceived by those privilege recipients across the board, all walks of life.

* I always assumed that the benefit of the Ivy League was the opportunity to make connections and participate in extracurriculars, not that you got a more rigorous education than elsewhere. And once you get in, it’s almost impossible to flunk out. So it really shouldn’t matter if blacks and Hispanics are held to lower standards, at least at the Ivy League level. The state school level is another story, and the attrition rate is significant there. As a graduate student, I taught an intro-level accounting course at a state school. It was considered a “weed-out” class with a failure rate close to 20% on average. I had eight black students. Four of them failed, and one of them got a B (no A’s, and about 10-15% of all students got A’s). Talking to another TA, he told me that was about how his black students did too.

* From Charles Murray’s footnote from Coming Apart:

Chapter 2, n. 30, IQ broken down by degree attainment (by 2000) and race, the National Longitudinal Survey of Youth, 1979 cohort.
White
Bachelor’s — 113.3
Masters — 116.9
Ph.D./Professional (f/e J.D.) — 125.6

Black
Bachelor’s — 99.1
Masters — 101.7
Ph.D./Professional — 112.2

Hispanic
Bachelor’s — 106.7
Masters — 106.4
Ph.D./Professional — 115.2

Even 15 years ago, black Ph.D.’s had an IQ approximately equal to white college grads, and about a standard deviation below white Ph.D.’s. I doubt that particular gap has gotten any smaller (though more recent data would be welcome). Despite this, blacks remain drastically underrepresented among the ranks of college professors relative to their share of the population.

How to increase their numbers? Mandate greater “diversity” in hiring and increase the number and size of racial/ethnic studies departments.

However unhinged and even childish the protesters may appear, their demands are entirely rational from the perspective of black academics, and black students who would like to become black academics.

I think it’s a mistake to tie this to the election cycle, or revivalist fervor. The drive for diversity has been a feature of American life for 50 years, and since the percentage of URMs is constantly increasing, while the gaps stay (at a minimum) the same size, there is no reason to expect the drive to slacken, much less to cease.

* My own psycho-speculation is that deep down these angry blacks are really angry at themselves. They notice their own lack of capability at the higher levels and they realize that amongst the different people of the world they’re considered to be at the bottom in terms of of attractiveness. So they just turn their anger inside out and spend their time shrieking about this, that and the other; it’s black primal scream therapy.

* I like to use the term “village idiot” here.

A 1200 math+verbal SAT is at about the upper quartile (=75th percentile) for all test takers.
That’s pretty good.
But at Princeton, the lower quartile (=25th percentile) among undergrads is about 1400.
So if you’re a Princeton undergrad with a 1200 math+verbal SAT, then you’re a village idiot in that village. Even someone with a 1300 math+verbal SAT is almost certainly going to be completely outclassed in things like math and physics.

I’m sure it’s not fun being a village idiot, so the village idiots tend to be angry.

But almost all universities have “College for Dummies” majors that give their village idiots a path to a degree.

* These girls get the self-confidence and self-esteem that they need to shriek at college professors and college presidents from their training as young girls. When they perform in church, they are complimented by deacons and pastors. When they perform in school, they are praised by teachers and school principals.

* Janet Napolitano had no professional background in academia and she is now President of the University of California system. Universities now have little to do with scholarship. They are machines for extracting money from parents and the government – self perpetuating institutions, busy about the task of perpetuating themselves. So scholars aren’t really needed to administer them.

* Every victory for BLM is an incentive to fight for more spoils. They made BLM to serve themselves, but now BLM serves itself and those who ally with it can gain political power. The Democrats have to end the movement before it gets much larger, and it may already be too late. An attempt to shut it down could trigger an ugly public conflict within the coalition, the biggest since the 1960s. Who is going to speak truth to BLM power? A white Democrat? A Hispanic? I don’t see how this doesn’t blow up in the Democrats faces at some point, it could happen as soon as next year.

* It could be post-’gay marriage’ fatigue.

Negroes took the backseat to that but now they are asked to take back seat to Bruce Caitlyn.

Too much.

And even hot black women are troublesome and bitchy.

Naomi Campbell and Kathleen Battle have been biatches.

It’s a racial mismatch of temperaments.

It’s like what Rankin said.

Serenisha’s tantrums on court jes’ be normal for black behavior.

Sulkowitch is a pain, but she just drags a mattress around.

Black nature wants to jump on it and burn it.

Blacks don’t have academic demeanor.
They evolved in a rhythmic butt-centric world.

They just be flipping.

We see this as black v white issue, but blacks are acting toward whites the way they act amongst each other: hollering, walloping, screaming, ranting, tantrum throwing.

Most rap battles are among the negroes.

And black biatches be screaming at each other all the time.

* The GOP would be very smart to send out Rand Paul to troll on the topic of gentrification. It is one of the few issues where the right can point out blatant liberal hypocrisy. If there is a Philadelphia gentrification project ongoing, organize a high profile public protest during the DNC convention. These protests can offer earn a quick victory as well, because time is money for the city and the developer. Trump may know more than anyone which projects are the weakest and would stand the best chance of creating a political victory.

* Evolution just made black women more biatchy.

The diva-bitchery is prominent among hot famous black women too.

Take Rihanna. She mostly sucks but ‘umbrella’ is one badass hot ho song.
Formulaic and trashy but sizzling hot mama stuff. It is as good as trash gets.

Ok, she’s got fame and the name.

But she is still a no-ggod biatch.

But a hot sizzling ho biatch.

* I noticed that all the friends that I met in college, I met at orientation or in my first classes. Other college graduates have noted that also. The first semester seems to be very important for socialization. The local college has this “outreach” program for minorities. They even have a separate orientation for the minorities. Hence from the very beginning they are isolated from the majority of students. At a certain point, they get angry and form protest groups that issue unworkable demands.

* For some blacks, these are the golden years: with high IQ by black standards (up to 115) they are offered college scholarships, elite jobs, access to white women, re-spect, and suchlike. But that danegeld only goes to the top third.

The bottom third sees this. It’s a big river of stuff they desperately want, but because they can’t speak the language, be on time, stay on task, settle down, patiently work it through, defer until appropriate, barter subtextually, or deploy any high socialization skills, they are CUT OFF! and they know it. It will never be for them, and they know it. No amount of work, no adherence to Republican bromides of effort as the path to improved competitiveness, can help them–and they know it. More, they’re cajoled by cynical libs telling them “the system” is against them (when it’s their own biology that’s against them) and easily het up to hysterical and violence.

Result: It’s going to get worse before-even IF–it gets better.

* Why now? My working assumption has been professional agitators. It’s very, very easy to get a bunch of black college kids and their white/Asian Prog sympathizers wound up. What’s a lot less likely is a leader rising naturally from this mixed bag of nobodies. But send in some professional organizers and you get things going in no time.

We know that Soros funds this stuff. There are even government organizations devoted to this kind of thing, hidden under fancy names, but I don’t feel like looking any of this up. And then on some campuses it’s Uber Left professors behind the scenes making it happen. There is really no such thing as a spontaneous revolution.

* I think the real truth is simple: some people are, by nature, massively self-absorbed and self-centered. We’ll call them narcissists, even if that maybe isn’t precise enough. Narcissists automatically believe that everyone should be catering to them at all times and they genuinely believe they are being wronged whenever someone else fails to abide by their will or something doesn’t go their way. (Indeed, for many narcissists pretty much everyone they know is constantly catering to their whims, and yet they still believe they are put upon.) Normally such people are only allowed to endlessly bleat at their friends and family, but when they’re black its different. As we all know, white racism is the cause of every ill that has ever befallen any black anywhere, so their narcissistic whining isn’t merely a personal problem. No it’s a big social issue we all need to discuss.

So you take some whining narcissists, tell them that their bitching is actually the most important issue in the world, and then refuse to let anyone else tell them to shut the fuck up, and this is what you get.

* I’ve come across numerous very competent Black and Latino lawyers over the years. But, because of affirmative action, for the most part Black and Latino lawyers with anything on the ball get sucked up by high paying corporate law firms, government agencies, etc. The result is that those Black and Latino lawyers who go back after law school and “serve the community” by hanging out their shingle tend to be the bottom of the heap.

* I graduated from an Ivy League school (Penn) last year. There’s an important detail that needs to be added to this: the majority of black students on campus are focused on getting high paying finance and law jobs when they graduate. There are also a fair number who are devout Christians. Some, even most, of the Christians and the future-wealth-acquisitioners probably sympathize with these protests in some abstract way, but in practice they’re annoyed by them. Vocally annoyed by them. These kids go to college to get access to big salary jobs, not become affirmative bureaucrats.

The small contingent of black protesters at Penn was hilarious. They did a ‘mock slave auction’ in front of a fraternity to protest the fraternity buying a Beyonce themed sex doll. Seriously.

* In my experience at Berkeley in the late 80′s, the racial segregation of blacks was all-encompassing. Separate living (when they could), separate social events, majors, gathering places, study halls, churches (especially), and anything else they could come up with. I was friends with a few, and admired their tenacity, but much of my impression of black college students was that they were there to fill quotas and protest every so often. It would be very difficult for them to be individuals and carve out their own path with that sort of peer pressure.

You weren’t allowed to join the black sorority or fraternity UNLESS you were black. They were racially discriminating and totally proud of it.

SAN BERNARDINO SHOOTERS A LOT LIKE OTHER MASS SHOOTERS

Ann Coulter writes: As I went to press with this column, the San Bernardino shooters were unknown, but I had a pretty good inkling they weren’t white men. Days earlier, in response to Robert Dear Jr.'s murder of three people at a Colorado Springs shopping mall last week, The New York Times exulted:

“Even as politicians and those in Congress pump up public fears at the supposed threat of refugees fleeing Syria, every day in America people — mostly white men — are walking into movie theaters, restaurants, churches, grade schools and health care centers armed to the teeth, determined to take as many people out as they can.”

Mostly white men???

I know it didn't happen here, but is the Times really going to ignore the murder of 130 people in Paris two weeks ago?

Here at home, an Oregon Community College was shot up in October — by a mixed-race, half-black immigrant, Chris Harper-Mercer. Nine people were killed. It's hard to remember every sensational crime, but that was just two months ago.

Last year, another mixed-race immigrant, Elliot Rodger, committed mass murder at a sunny college campus in Santa Barbara, killing twice as many people as Robert Dear did — in half the time! That seemed like a pretty big story to me, but the media passed over it pretty quickly. The Times has airbrushed it from history.

In 2013, two Chechen immigrants — also allegedly fleeing persecution — blew up the Boston Marathon.

In 2012, Haitian immigrant Kesler Dufrene murdered as many people in Miami as Robert Dear did in Colorado Springs. One of Dufrene's victims was a 15-year-old girl. Dufrene had already been convicted of a felony in the United States, so he should have been deported, but our “Deporter in Chief” Obama had blocked his return to Haiti. As the murdered girl's mother said, “Because of immigration, my daughter is not alive.”

Have you ever heard of Dufrene? I don't think his murders got as much press as the “Planned Parenthood” shooting.

I'm sure you've heard of Jared Loughner. But have you ever heard of Eduardo Sencion?

In 2011, nine months after Loughner's shooting spree in Tucson, Arizona, Sencion, a Mexican immigrant, shot up a Carson City, Nevada, IHOP, killing four Americans, including three National Guardsmen and a 67-year old woman.

Eduardo was a Mexican immigrant. The Times ran two stories on his mass murder — on Pages 17 and 18. By contrast, Loughner's shooting got dozens of write-ups in the Times, including at least three front-page articles, three editorials and 10 op-eds.

The media are tickled pink whenever they have a white perpetrator because it happens so rarely in a country that is majority white.

In 2009 — the same year that model second-generation immigrant Nidal Malik Hasan murdered 13 soldiers at Fort Hood — model first-generation Vietnamese immigrant Jiverly Wong shot and killed 13 people in Binghamton, New York, because he was upset that people disrespected his English skills.

Who holds the record for the deadliest shooting by a single gunman in U.S. history, you ask? That would be Korean immigrant, Seung-Hui Cho, with 32 murders in a matter of hours at Virginia Tech in 2007.

The Times cheered anti-gun advocate Carolyn McCarthy's election to Congress, but today, the paper seems to have forgotten the event that propelled her there: the 1993 Long Island Railroad massacre that left six passengers dead, including McCarthy's husband.

That mass shooting was committed by a Jamaican immigrant, Colin Ferguson.

It hasn't even been a week, and the Times has already run more than a dozen articles on the shooting at a Colorado Springs shopping mall. Hey — everybody remember the wall-to-wall coverage of the mass shooting at a Salt Lake City shopping mall in 2007? Five people were killed.

Here's a clue: Two days after the attack, the Times ran an article titled, “Anti-Bosnian Backlash Is Feared in Utah.” (The killer: Bosnian immigrant Sulejman Talovic.)

After Mexican immigrant Salvador Tapia slaughtered six employees at the Windy City Core Supply warehouse in Chicago in 2003, the Times plastered the story all over — one article on Page 14 of the late edition. The Washington Post also ran one.

The media use their own lack of coverage as proof that mass murder by non-whites almost never happens. It's exactly what they're doing to Donald Trump over his claim that a lot of Muslims celebrated the 9/11 attack.

At the time, normal people were enraged that the media refused to cover the Muslim reaction to 9/11, all while lavishing endless column inches on a non-existent “backlash” against Muslims.

But now these journalist-referees turn around and insist that the only acceptable proof that Muslims cheered the 9/11 attack is the existence of the very media coverage that they obstinately refused to provide.

There's a reason most people trust their own recollections over media reports.

After 20 years of nearly non-stop mass murder by non-white immigrants in a country that is still majority white, our media have the audacity to claim that tens of thousands of Syrian Muslims are less dangerous than the most pacific human beings in world history: 21st-century white American men.

The Diversity Agenda

Comments to Steve Sailer:

* The western governments, with the exception of Viktor Orban in Hungary, have made it clear for a long time now that their true selectorate is the Davos elite. Absent radical change to the political system, the diversity agenda has an avalanche of billionaire and corporate cash.

Crimethinking your rather logical thoughts about Muslim terrorism, err “violent extremism”, is infinitely better than letting those Confederates out of the attic.

The left has been at work saying “land of the free, home of the brave” to mean one should be “brave” in the face of gleefully letting in Syrian terrorist invaders, who are somehow the “next Italians”.

Merkel, a spinster chancellor, pays the pimp Erdogan for her Sunni boytoys.

* Dear Muslim World:
We will stop invading your countries (and also stop aiding and abetting Israel’s shenanigans), and you don’t get to come to our countries anymore. Deal!
Sincerely,
on behalf of the White Christian world,
superhonky

* I am starting to suspect that at the heart of the war on noticing is the fear that people will notice patterns in Jewish behavior.
And we can’t have that. So you’re no longer allowed to notice patterns in any group’s behavior.

* The entire point of the left’s agenda is to lower our IQ.

Think about it:

Noticing patterns is a sign of high intelligence. People who notice patterns best—such as what the stock market does when certain things happen, what the likely questions on the math test will be, which arguments work better in front of judges than others, or what dose of what medicine makes people healthier—are highly intelligent.

But the left’s goal is to stop people from noticing patterns. Obvious patterns. based on obvious signals, like race, sex, sexuality, religion, and ethnicity.

That sort of Crimestop –if internalized—will cause a brain to arrest and stop working past a certain point. Patterns will go unnnoticed deliberately by Pavlonian training.

And thus people become dumber.

* I believe the Left just considers the occasional massacre of innocents as a cost of doing business. The Manifest Destiny of the Left is to turn America into the Tower of Babel. There might be some speed bumps along the way, but there is no reason to change course. Walter Duranty viewed Stalin and Communism the same way, “you can’t make an omelet without breaking a few eggs.” What happened yesterday were just a few eggs being broken for the greater good down the road.

* “All respectable opinion knows that the proper response to two Muslims going jihad on their workplace is that we must redouble our efforts to diversify America through even more immigration.”
Precisely! Don’t forget that we have to increase our efforts in stamping out white racism. Racism was obviously the cause of this. Let us all, as a community, run racism out of San Bernardino! Today San Bernardino – tomorrow the world! Je suis San Bernardino anyone?

* Vancouver built city parks and built on-site caretaker suites for old single men. Some are now empty and they’re considering putting Syrian refugees into these houses. How, exactly, is a Syrian goat-herder ever going to earn enough money to support a family in Vancouver?

*

* Swedish families take African immigrants into their homes:

swedish

MORE:

* I think we’ve reached a point where people seem to actively look forward to these mass shootings as an opportunity to identify the shooter as a representative of a political enemy.

* What do the locals call their city? In all the on-air reporting , reporters pronounce “San BernaRdino” without its second R. (In Japanese TV reporting the city is called サンバーナーディーノ , with both R’s pronounced, “Sambahnahdiino”.) And while we’re at it, how does BernaRdine Dohrn pronounce her forename?

* Apollo Creed was like Mohammed Ali + 50 IQ points. He was one of the smartest black characters in movies up to that point.

* Black gangbangers tend to have a low ratio of killed to wounded in their shootings. This New Orleans picnic gunfight wounded 17 but did kill anybody.

There was video of a drive-by shooting about a year or two ago outside a Washington DC night club that I thought was going to be a big story but disappeared immediately. A lot of people wounded but not too many people killed.

Donald Trump Didn’t Struggle At The Republican Jewish Coalition Event

He signaled clearly that he is going to be independent of all donations, including Jewish ones.

He showed he is a nationalist who puts America’s interests before those of any foreign power.

Washington Post:

Donald Trump drew a few rare boos toward the end of his appearance at Thursday’s Republican Jewish Coalition candidate forum, after refusing to say that Jerusalem should be the undivided and recognized capital of Israel.

“You know what I want to do? I want to wait until I meet with Bibi,” said Trump. “You know, I’m leaving for Israel in a very short while.”

The rest of his answer, about a planned post-Christmas trip to Israel, was interrupted by scattered jeering. Trump turned to a heckler near the front of the Ronald Reagan Building’s ballroom whom he could hear clearly.

“Who’s the wise guy?” asked Trump. “Just relax. You’ll like me very much, believe me.”

NASA rocket scientist father of James Deen defends his son, who went from upper middle class Jewish kid to mega porn star accused of violent sexual assaults

Joe says: “Now that the father has identified himself, his ex-wife, and daughter, what more can I say? His poor judgment even extends to identifying his employer, a prestigious NASA lab operated by Cal Tech. This is a high-up guy; he is essentially the most senior mechanical engineer at JPL, approving every spacecraft mechanism, robotic device, and scientific instrument — and he besmirches the institutions that he works for? The guy’s in denial. The mother and sister will have the sense to stay quiet, even if the press hounds them.”

Vox Day tweets: “Gian Gomeshi: arrested for sexual assault. John Scalzi: self-admitted rapist. James Deen: accused of sexual battery. All male feminists.”

Daily Mail:

Seven women have accused porn star James Deen of violent rape and sexual assault but his father stands by his side.
‘He’s a sweet kid,’ Don Sevilla, 62, a top NASA rocket scientist, told Daily Mail Online exclusively. ‘How they can say this about him is beyond me.’
Sevilla, who works at the prestigious Jet Propulsion Lab in Pasadena, California, was shocked when Deen’s ex-lover and porn colleague Stoya claimed last weekend that he had raped her.
She was the first to come forward followed by several other women in the past week.
‘When you’re in that business [porn], putting your sexuality out there as a plaything, I don’t know what that does to intimacy in your private life. I’m sure it must be difficult to deal with.
‘There’s a lot of anger out there and in their world, the adult movie industry, they have a lot of tools in their toolboxes to express that anger.
‘I think that if they have a problem with Bryan, they should work it out with him themselves in private, not in public like this.’
Deen, 29, who’s real name is Bryan Sevilla, has vehemently denied the allegations against him.
His dad added: ‘I support him. He’s my son and I love him.’
The accusations began Saturday when Stoya took to Twitter saying: ‘James Deen held me down and f***ed me while I said no, stop, used my safeword. I just can’t nod and smile when people bring him up anymore.’

That was quickly followed by two other accusations, one from ex-porn star Tori Lux who claims he violently hit her and held her to his crotch on set and then from adult film actress Ashley Fires, who says he tried to rape her in the shower on one occasion.

Porn star Amber Rayne revealed to The Daily Beast that after she called Deen a ‘b****’ during a shoot, he had anal sex with her so violently that she bled and needed stitches.

Porn actress Kora Peters also told The Daily Beast that she refused anal sex during one shoot but that Deen shoved her face into a sofa and forced himself on her.

Another unnamed woman told the LAist she was raped by Deen as a crowd watched inside a Las Vegas hotel room in 2009.

And a seventh woman, porn actress Nicki Blue, now tells Daily Mail Online in an exclusive interview that Deen raped her with a beer bottle in an off-camera attack at a wrap party.

Another one of Deen’s ex-girlfriends, porn star Joanna Angel who he dated for six years until 2010, angrily blasted him on Twitter saying, ‘He’s dead on the inside and dead to me. He’s literally the worst person I’ve ever met.’
Joanna’s comment was particularly hurtful to Sevilla senior. ‘It saddens me very much,’ he revealed to Daily Mail Online at his neat, two-story home in an upscale section of Tujunga, north of Los Angeles. ‘Joanna is a sweet girl and I liked her very much.

‘She’s terrific and she has a great family – I used to spend a lot of time with Bryan and Joanna. They were friends and lovers for years, it’s so sad that it should come to this.’
Deen grew up in upper middle class Pasadena. He was raised by highly educated parents – his father and his mom Carol, 60, both scientists.
The porn star says he had a ‘great childhood’ along with his older sister Rachel.
He has frequently claimed that he decided at the age of 8 he wanted to be in porn, after seeing an adult movie for the first time.
In a 2013 interview with the American Jewish publication, The Forward, he said: ‘In third grade we were talking about what we wanted to do when we grew up… My response was that I wanted to do porn.
‘It was just “Ha, ha, ha, what do you really want to do?” and I said, “No, I really want to do porn.” I ended up getting suspended because they thought I was disrupting the class.’
He told GQ in 2012 that he lost his virginity at the age of 12 during a sleepover at a Jewish camp.
His parents split up when he was a teenager and after toying with drugs in junior high, he quit school at 15 and for the next two years hung out with a ‘bunch of gutter punks,’ often sleeping in parks and abandoned buildings around Pasadena.
He got his act together at 17, moving in with his father and enrolling in classes at Pasadena City College which he paid for by working at Starbucks.
But he was still determined to get into porn, so he started going to Hollywood parties to make contacts.
That paid off. A stripper he met introduced him to an X-rated movie casting agent who posted the well-endowed young hopeful’s naked photo online.
His phone started ringing off the hook and in 2004, at the age of 18, he made his porn debut in a film called Art School Sluts.
He adopted the name James Deen which was inspired by the nickname he was given in junior high for the way he used to hold a cigarette.
