Germany’s AfD distances itself from Höcke’s ‘almost racist’ remarks

Germany’s right-wing populist AfD party has rebuked one of its regional figures for remarks nearing on racism. Björn Höcke’s praise for France’s far-right National Front was also rejected by some party leaders.

AfD co-leader Jörg Meuthen on Monday said remarks made by Höcke on 21 November – as Germany debated refugee arrivals – amounted to “contextual and political stupidity.”

Höcke, who heads the AfD in Thuringia state, had spoken during a lecture about Africa’s reproduction rates, apparently claiming that Europe’s willingness to accept refugees would drive continued overpopulation. Höcke referred to an “African life-affirming propagation type” and an overpopulation of Africa. “As long as we are prepared to take on this population surplus, Africans’ reproductive habits will not change,” Höcke had said.

Meuthen, reacting after the AfD executive held a telephone conference on Sunday, said Höcke’s formulation was “factually nonsensical, lacked any scientific substance, and invited misinterpretation as an almost racist statement.”

Comments:

* It is really quite remarkable how all of the elite institutions of the West: Political, Educational, Large Corporations, Entertainment and News media are dedicated to the destruction of their host societies.

* No, his “crime” wasn’t to mention the high African fertility. His “crime” was to refer to Rushton’s r/k theory in this context. (Well, he didn’t mention Rushton explicitly and he was not able to present the theory properly, but it was obvious that he was referring to Rushton. Even the brain dead Antifa got it instantly.)

* Immigration sentimentalists are going to find ‘almost racist’ an irresistible label to chuck around.

* Someone must do something about the unchecked growth of the culturally inferior untermenschen, ja?

* Our state’s high school environmental science textbook has a chart with fertility rates around the world indexed with poverty to help drive home the high birthrates=more mouths to feed= doesn’t fit with modern industrial society. You can’t even say stuff that’s in a high school textbook now.

* So Germany is just like the US. Everyone understands what the problems are, but no one is allowed to say it.

* Höcke is a bit of an idiot who gets overly theatrical (he’s done some fairly embarrassing things like going to a talk show and putting a German flag over his chair as a sign of his patriotism…that’s just cringeworthy for German audiences), and he’s undoubtedly profoundly nationalist (though not a Nazi as far as I can tell). But I’m really disappointed in the AfD’s reaction to his statements about Africa’s demographic expansion (which only were a small part of about 2 minutes in a lecture of 50 minutes). That whole r- and k-strategies stuff is irrelevant, no layperson can come to a real judgement about this anyway. What matters, was Höcke’s main point: Africa’s fertility rates means Europe will be overwhelmed by African migrants if we don’t get serious about this and put up real barriers to migration. He’s undoubtedly correct about this. If they kick him out for this because they want to be seen as “respectable” I will reconsider my support for them. In that case though Germany is even more f**ked than it already is because the AfD was the last chance to do anything against the current migration wave at the ballot box.
That’s really the problem for any right-wing movement, there’s always the tendency for those who care about “respectability” to draw very narrow limits of what’s allowed to be discussed. Ok, there have to be some limits, nobody wants to be associated with genuine Nazis, but the AfD’s behaviour is self-defeating. Compare and contrast with the Left’s (or even “conservatives” nowadays) “No enemies to the left” attitude which means a high degree of tolerance even for extreme Antifa types.

* But isn’t Hocke’s claim, in fact, factually nonsensical? African fertility is not really affected by European immigration policies. Africa isn’t Puerto Rico or Ireland — there’ll never be more Africans outside Africa than in it. Emigration out of Africa will never be an option for at least 95 percent of the population.

The irony is that it’s *European* fertility which is the key driver of immigration to Europe. The conservative anti-multicultural Angela Merkel’s sudden enthusiasm for massive migrant flows was driven by her concerns about German fertility. The rationale cited was shortage of workers in Germany, not unemployment in Syria.

Indeed, Africa can’t emigrate its way out of its high fertility problems but Europe seems determined to immigrate its low fertility problems away. If you doubt which factor is more significant, note that the US has no problem at all finding enough Russians to migrate even in the face of declining Russian population. Conversely, if the European elites decided to be more like Japan’s, a rising African population could have as little effect on their migrant inflows as a rising Chinese population had on Japan.

So if you’re worried about migration, talk about European fertility and this weird belief that, while countries can cope with a rising population, a declining population is simply unthinkable and massive immigration is the only way out.

* I’ve noticed something about how these things are reported. Instead of reporting what was said, then someone’s opinion that it was controversial, they write the story in reverse. First they tell you the remark was controversial, then they tell you what was actually said. They’re afraid you’ll draw your own conclusions before they have a chance to tell you what to think.

* It’s a curious position when only “nazis” can speak obvious truths that are common knowledge in most of the world.

* Germany isn’t only committing national suicide but forcing it on other European nations as well. “You must die with us.” An imperialism of suicide.

Germany is like a Jim Jones cult. Or like Hitler cult that demanded that all of Germany must die with the Fuhrer. Germany today wants to force all of Europe to join in the mass suicide cult. Or else.

Meanwhile, it cannot even criticize African sexual behavior.

Blacks and Muslims invade other nations, but mum’s the word.

Hungarians try to save their own nation, and their attempt must be denounced.

Blacks can multiply and invade all they want without criticism.

But whites must be cucky saint martyrs of the world.

* Just because Hitler thought in ethnic terms, though, doesn’t mean that ethnicity doesn’t exist or isn’t important. It’s also important to live in the world of today, not get locked into the world of 75 years ago.

* It should be noted that even African countries can be brought down by immigration.

South Africa used to be pretty rich. The elites – both white and black – have been importing massive numbers of black Africans from poorer countries to keep wages low. Of course the ‘nativist’ blacks are protesting this, not because they are biased against blacks (!) but because they don’t want the labor market flooded and their wages driven down to sub-poverty levels. Of course the mainstream press slanders black South Africans as ‘xenophobic haters’, because anyone opposed to mass poverty simply must be a Nazi.

The Ivory Coast used to be pretty well of as well. The black elites imported massive numbers of muslim refugees as a source of cheap labor, and when this immigration policy had about doubled the population the place fell apart in a civil war.

The easy profits from cheap labor know no color boundary.

Of course, every refugee making it into South Africa or the Ivory Coast simply made more room for the population in their home countries to explode upwards.

A little over a century ago Sweden was a high-fertility cesspit of poverty. The elites were quite honest that without the safety valve of immigration to the United States, there would be a revolution or a collapse. Immigration of Swedes to the United States was cut off – the working class of the United States did better, and the swedes, bowing to necessity, lowered their fertility rate and became a decent place to live.

When countries are forced to live within their means, then one way or the other, they do. Hey, I must be a racist for saying this!

* In France, which has a much, much lower rate of third-world immigration than the rest of the EU, it is 35% and growing. And the major mainstream conservative party is hostile to third world migration, at least compared to its equivalents elsewhere in the first world.

But in Germany, this very careful, politically correct anti-immigration party was not able to break the 5% it needed to get seats in the Bundestag. And the three left wing parties combined to 51% of seats in the Bundestag. The only reason Merkel remains Chancellor is that the main left wing party preferred to coalition with her rather than current and former communists.

In the Spanish elections today, there is no explicitly anti-immigration party. Immigration to Spain was so low for decades under Franco, as well as immediately afterward, that it simply was not a political issue.

* I’ve heard that if you are going to mention Nazis, just say that you are going to go “Full Godwin” before you do, and then it’s OK.

* The Social Justice Warriors I hear say something along the lines of –

1. Living in Africa is intolerable. You’d move too.
2. It is not for us to criticize African states – ever.
3. You must let them live in your country.
a. Because it’s unfair that your people live decently and other people don’t.
b. We should probably have people randomly re-located everywhere, all the time.
That would be the most diverse, and therefore best.

4. Just nowhere near me. And, of course, I am not talking about me here. You – yes.

Postscript:
1. Africa is not intolerable – your countries are intolerable!
2. Africans must move there for reason 1. somehow.

* Trump sells the Miss Universe Pageant and everything goes to hell as the new owners crown the wrong contestant and then a few minutes later have to uncrown her.

The universe is breaking in Trump’s favor on everything. He can milk this to bolster his managerial efficiency reputation.

* Marine Le Pen observed, for example, the number of pork-free diets in French prison (about half, I think) is an indication of the criminality of the French Muslim population. There may be other medical information about the prevalence of certain diseases or disorders that have race-based susceptibilities, but I don’t know them. Anecdotally, I had a language student in Paris whose sister was studying to be a doctor specializing in tropical diseases, and she planned to stay right in the Ile de France: enough business there to support a practice! To me the screening of newborns, which I freely admit is a surrogate with limitations, is that it gives a picture of the French population in 20-30 years time even without any further immigration (any significant ex-migration is unlikely–even the National Front does not advocate this measure).

The French authorities are very hostile to any data that tends to break down the population along racial, ethnic or religious lines. The official line is that all French citizens are equally French, that is, France is a proposition nation in which origin means nothing. On a more sinister note, I suspect that they do not want the français de souche to see how they are being replaced.
