Rent Is Too Damn High Party founder endorses Trump

REPORT: The founder of the Rent is Too Damn High Party is endorsing billionaire real estate mogul Donald Trump for president.

Jimmy McMillan, an advocate for affordable housing and a Vietnam veteran, told the New York Daily News that Trump’s support for veterans outweighs any negatives.
“He’s the only one who is supporting my brother veterans, which is good enough for me,” McMillan said of the Republican presidential front-runner.

“My main concern is helping my brother veterans get help,” he added. “America needs change.”

McMillan, who also ran for president in 2012, said he wanted Trump to be his vice president at the time.

“I’ve read up a lot on him,” he said.

McMillan rose to prominence in the 2010 New York gubernatorial race, where his unusual demeanor and statements drew attention at debates. Considered a protest candidate, he garnered just under 1 percent support.

Welcome to Arcadia – The California Suburb Where Wealthy Chinese Criminals are Building Mansions to Stash Cash

Michael Krieger writes:

Screen Shot 2014-10-16 at 1.53.00 PMThe city, population 57,600, projects that about 150 older homes—53 percent more than normal—will be torn down this year and replaced with mansions. The deals happen fast and are rarely listed publicly. Often, the first indication that a megahouse is coming next door is when the lawn turns brown. That means the neighbor has stopped watering and green construction netting is about to go up.

Arcadia is a concentrated version of what’s happening across the U.S. The Hurun Report, a magazine in Shanghai about China’s wealthy elite, estimates that almost two-thirds of the country’s millionaires have already emigrated or plan to do so.

– From the Bloomberg article: Why Are Chinese Millionaires Buying Mansions in an L.A. Suburb?

The surge in foreigners buying up U.S. real estate has been well documented in recent years. Of all this buying, no nation has demonstrated a bigger increase in purchases than China. In fact, it is estimated that 24% of all foreign purchases of domestic real estate this year have come from China, up 72% from last year. In my post from July, Chinese Purchases of U.S. Real Estate hit $22 Billion as The Bank of China Facilitates Money Laundering, I noted that:

In some California communities, 90% of real estate buyers are from China. Yes, 90%. Naturally, many of them are buying multi-million dollar homes in “all cash” transactions.

Well it appears that one of those communities is the 57,000 person Los Angeles suburb known as Arcadia. The suburb had a relatively insignificant Asian population of 4% in 1980, but it is now 59%. Of course, I could care less what the ethnic mix of any particular suburb is, but what does concern me is that a lot of the recent money coming in seems to be from questionable characters. The buyers are getting access to U.S. real estate via the EB-5 visa program, and of the 10,000 of these given away this year, 85% went to the Chinese. Oh, and it’s estimated some 20% of these home sit vacant. A great use of resources.

Here are some excerpts from Bloomberg’s expose:

Ornelas is an informal broker in Arcadia, Calif., a Los Angeles suburb at the foot of the San Gabriel mountains. He’s been keeping an eye out for the builder, an Asian man with a slight comb-over who goes by Mark. Ornelas has found two older homeowners who’ve finally agreed to sell their properties, and he knows that Mark, like all developers here, needs land on which to build mansions for an influx of rich clients from mainland China.

Ornelas rattles off addresses on a nearby street. “Three-eleven, that guy, he’s wack,” he says, shaking his head. “He wants 2.8.” He means million dollars. “And then 354, they want $2 million.”The lot is 17,000 square feet. “Seventeen for 2 mil?” Mark asks, incredulous.“I know,” Ornelas says. “They’re going crazy.”A year ago the property would have gone for $1.3 million, but Arcadia is booming. Residents have become used to postcards offering immediate, all-cash deals for their property and watching as 8,000-square-foot homes go up next door to their modest split levels. For buyers from mainland China, Arcadia offers excellent schools, large lots with lenient building codes, and a place to park their money beyond the reach of the Chinese government.

The city, population 57,600, projects that about 150 older homes—53 percent more than normal—will be torn down this year and replaced with mansions.

The city’s Asian population grew from 4 percent in 1980 to 59 percent in 2010.

Smith says many of the newest buyers in Arcadia don’t speak English. “They’ve just come here,” he says. “They’re on that EB—what’s it called?” He means the EB-5 visas that the U.S. grants to foreigners who plow at least $500,000 into American development projects. Congress created the program in 1990 to spur investment, and demand for the visas has grown recently. This year, for the first time, the government gave away the annual allocation of 10,000 visas before the year was over, with Chinese nationals snapping up 85 percent. Brokers in the area say it’s the most common way buyers are coming to town. “Once they obtain residency, they want to bring their family over and get the United States education,” says real estate agent Ricky Seow. “They can start a new life in California.”

In late 2013, Cheng and her mother, Wang Jun, bought a 9,000-square-foot house with a pool and spa in Arcadia for $6.5 million. According to an L.A. property filing, Wang’s husband is Cheng Qingtao. He’s CEO of China Huayang Economic & Trade Group, one of the first state-owned companies set up by the central government, which still owns a majority stake. Heli’s two-story chateau-style home is only a few miles from one owned by her aunt, who’s married to Cheng’s older brother, Cheng Qingbo. Qingbo was the first private owner of railroads in China and, by 2013, was the country’s 257th-richest person, worth an estimated $1.06 billion, Hurun says. In June, Shanghai police arrested Qingbo for allegedly duping people into investments, including a project that, China Business News says, didn’t exist.

Yep, the guy gets cuffed in China, but here in America we welcome him with open arms and he gets to buy a mansions.

For most Arcadians, it would be hard to know if Heli owned the house next door. A member of one homeowners association estimates that about 20 percent of the new purchases sit empty, and for those who don’t speak Mandarin, language barriers have made it hard to share more than a wave with neighbors. For many sales, public records provide no way to understand who the new owners are. A recorded deed may show just an English transliteration of a buyer’s name, with no signature. Some public documents provide small clues: a second address in a luxury condo near Tiananmen Square; a seal if a document has been notarized at the U.S. Embassy in Guangzhou; a husband who relinquishes rights to the land to his wife; or a signature in Chinese characters.

A few miles south, another new house, this one with Tuscan styling and Moorish window treatments, sold last year to a woman named Jin Liping. Her husband, Du Jianming, is the owner of one of China’s largest private builders of steel structures. His company has built bridges in Shanghai and connecting railways on the Tibetan Plateau. His wife bought the 8,000-square-foot house in Arcadia for $4.8 million in September 2013, around the same time the couple faced financial pressures at home. They lost three lawsuits in China related to unpaid loans, but their home in California looks in peak condition, with little red ribbons tied around the topiary by the front door.

Another criminal, welcome with open arms in America. Must be nice.

A goldenrod-yellow house on South 6th Avenue belongs to Tao Weisheng and Du Xiaojuan, who develop homes and run hotels in Chongqing. Tao is known in China for collecting calligraphy and paintings—and for reportedly paying bribes to bureaucrats. According to state-run media, in 2004, Tao and a business partner paid a local official’s gambling debt at a Macau casino. The official had given them a land certificate they needed for a loan. In 2010 the court found the official guilty of taking a bribe and gave him a suspended death sentence. The prosecutor didn’t charge Tao and his partner. The homeowners or their representatives declined to comment or did not respond to interview requests.

Lately, groups of Chinese investors have pooled their money to buy Arcadian homes, which often aren’t occupied. More than 400 residents showed up at a community meeting with the police department this spring, in part concerned about a spate of burglaries targeting empty mansions. When there are leaks or other problems with a property, even the city struggles to identify who’s responsible. “Who do we contact? Where do we contact them?” says Jim Kasama, the community development administrator for the city’s building department. “Sometimes it’s not that easy.”

With so many homes vacant and language barriers prevalent, distrust is building. There are strange rumors—local officials on the take; bridal studios as fronts for massage parlors—and stranger truths. Just steps from the Arcadia police station, a local TV news reporter uncovered a hotel being used for birth tourism. A member of one homeowners association says a developer told the local board at various meetings that three separate homes he was building were all for his own family. When the board called him on it, he said his wife couldn’t decide which one she wanted.

Well sure, when you allow corrupt Chinese billionaires in, what do you think is going to happen? They’re not used to playing by the rules.

Neighborhood disputes are getting intense. Dong Chang, a local dermatologist who told the Rotary Club that he left Taiwan in the early 1970s with “two bags of rice and a frying pan,” is suing the developer building a mansion next door for cutting down an old oak tree on his property. He’s seeking about $280,000, saying the harm was “intentional, fraudulent, oppressive, malicious, and despicably done.” It’s trickier for those without accounts in Hong Kong. Chen Ping, a local broker, says there’s a common workaround. “We call it ‘head-count wiring,’ ” she says. Buyers line up other people—friends, family, or, if need be, paid strangers—to each transfer a share. “I once had a customer who bought a $1.9 million house in Arcadia who said, ‘Not a problem. I have more than enough head counts,’ ” Chen says. Many buyers have legitimate ways to wire the funds, says broker Imy Dulake, but “there is no way we can have this much cash coming in legally.”

What’s happening in Arcadia is very similar to what I highlighted about Manhattan real estate in yesterday’s post: Meet the Pied-à-Terre Levy – The Proposed Tax that Could Crush High End NYC Real Estate.

Between private equity, hedge fund and foreign oligarchs buying, I’m surprised a single American citizen has purchased a home in the past five years.

The White Death and the Black Death

Steve Sailer writes:

I coined the term “the White Death” to refer to the rise in death rates among non-elderly whites during this century. It appears to be related to overdoses from prescription painkillers and heroin. Nobody paid much, if any, attention to it until economist Angus Deaton put out a paper on it last fall right after he won the econ (quasi-)Nobel.

“The Black Death” can refer to the >16 percent rise in homicide rates in big cities in 2015 over 2014. Nobody has crunched the numbers by race yet, but most of this appears to be a spike in black-on-black murders. This is likely related in some manner to Black Lives Matter agitation against law and order.

Comments:

* Let’s see–you unceasingly demonize whites, swamp their communities with hostile aliens, mock their race, religion and culture–if not outright ban it, tear down their monuments, vilify their heroes, ignore their accomplishments, obsess about their ancestor’s failings, prevent them from being able to defend themselves, off-shore their jobs, destroy their savings, dismiss or pathologize their complaints (“hate!” “fear!” “anxiety!”), and promote every kind of idiocy, barbarism, perversion, guilt, and insanity to their children through a constant onslaught of “entertainment” media, advertising, and “education” (read: indoctrination)…
…and then wonder why they’re succumbing to addictions and self-destructive lifestyles.

* Poor baby lost his confederate monuments and feels uncomfortable being a racist in public… boohoo. If you don’t like what is on the TV, turn it off, or better still, throw it out. How many more excuses do you have for justifying sitting around whining?

* Speaking personally, the recreational use of prescription drugs for my generation (I’m 28) starts with an artist I can’t help but feel much love for: Eminem.

People about my age will remember exactly what they’ve likely forgotten over the last ten or twelve years: vicadin was not in the vocabulary til he started singing about it.

Em eventually went to rehab, and then again, and again, and last I heard the last time they had to teach him how to talk again.

You slit your wrists because it makes you feel alive. That’s something most don’t understand, much less bother to think about. You take vicadin because it makes you forget your alive. The point of music is to forget yourself in the moment. These things are not intellectual. Which is why its so hard to pin them down, and I guess point the finger whence they spring.

* The good news if you can call it that, is more and more whites are cognizant of a undeclared war on them and their country. Trump is bringing a lot of it out into the open with his fights against the establishment/globalists.

I think the $64 thousand dollar question if this results in the destruction of the social contract between white Americans and the government(which is quite frayed from what I see).

* The reality is that people aren’t doing opioids because society is mean to them. They’re doing opioids because they *feel really good* and have become much easier to access. Initially because of Big Pharma pushing their pills, and now because of Mexican drug cartels.

I know it’s more emotionally satisfying to blame this all on liberals for being mean to working class whites, but if you’re actually interested in ending this, you have to stop the massive quantities of heroin being shipped into our country.

China fought a war to keep opium out of their country. We’re allowed to build a wall.

* The polarization of left and right is to a large extent genetic and arises from two different reproductive strategies. Either you produce as many offspring as you can, as quickly as you can, and leave them to their fate, or you delay breeding until you have found a high quality mate, then invest heavily in the upbringing of fewer offspring. The former is typical of prey species, the latter of predators. Both strategies are employed by humans (e.g. the love-rat fathering umpteen babies with different mothers vs the church-going moralist who has 2.2 children and sees them through college). The maths are very complicated (I studied them as an undergraduate, during a course on population biology) and neither strategy is definitively superior – ‘superior’ in the sense that the organism’s DNA has a better chance of reproducing itself. The thinking behind this goes by the name of the ‘r/K selection theory’. It has been criticized in recent years, but the basic structure is in my opinion sound.

The strategies are mutually incompatible. The tendency for ‘r’ (leftist) behaviour to manifest is in part epigenetic and triggered by stress and other negative environmental factors. K (rightist) behaviour is likewise partly epigenetic in expression and flourishes in stable societies, such as the U.S. up to about 1970, or Britain from about 1750 to 1963, when the Profumo affair can be seen as the first herald of the coming collapse.

We are animals first and human beings second. An r individual wants to create more like himself and favours a chaos in which resources can be freely plundered. A K individual is similar, except that he favours stability and long-term planning. The Ks and rs are genetic enemies: the r sees the K as standing in his way, and the K sees the r as a feckless wastrel who threatens his genetic future. That is why the confrontation between left and right is so bitter and intransigent; there is no effective middle way, except to withdraw. The second comment you quote is a perfect r reponse to your uncomprehending complaint, which is pure K. The hate is in indeed real, but don’t take it personally. Your opponents don’t understand themselves and are biologically incapable of seeing the folly of their ways.

* I was a pain pill addict for 14 years starting in the year 2000. I got sober 2 years ago. Here are some observations based on my experience that you guys might find useful.

1. Most of the people I bought and did pills with were white. There were blacks who used and sold pills but they were all young. I never bought pills from a black person over 30 but I bought from a lot of older white people, especially older white women.

2. There were two kinds of pills prescribed by two different kinds of doctors. The first kind were your hydrocodone, percocet and vicodin. These were prescribed by PCP’s, most often to women. They’d get a few refills on the script then go back to the doctor and get a few more. Most would get cut off at some point. This type was especially prevalent from the early to mid 2000′s.

The second type were oxycontin and roxicodone prescribed by pain management doctors. I personally didn’t come across these until the late 2000′s/early 2010′s. These doctors over prescribe like crazy. The people I knew who went to these doctors were all male. My connection was a guy who had knee surgery 4 years previous who went to the pain doctor every month and got 150-200 roxicodone 30 mg pills. He was in no pain whatsoever and did not need the drugs. He only got them to sell on the street. Roxicodone is like oxycontin: no acetaminophen. They are crazy strong. I cannot imagine that anyone could need or even take 150 of those things a month. It was ridiculous.

3. I never heard of any of these drugs till 1999 or so. I certainly don’t remember any adults talking about being on pain meds when I was growing up in the 80′s and early 90′s. It seems either new drugs came on the market or there was a change in attitude among doctors to prescribing these drugs or both.

4. It seemed to me that in the mid 90′s there was a move towards more hedonism in general. Adults who I’d never know to drink were suddenly boozing it up, marijuana was starting to get big again and the whole “Girls Gone Wild” culture was starting up. It seems this more permisisve attitude coincided with the easier availability of pain meds.

5. Maybe more whites did pills because they were more likely to have health insurance? Maybe doctors were less likely to prescribe them to blacks for fear they’d abuse them? Apologies if this has been mentioned here before.

6. I never knew anyone who overdosed or did heroin.

7. Has anyone seen the commercials on T.V. lately that are advertising meds for constipation that is caused by pain pills?

* Prescription drug overdose is a form of suicide and suicide rates are much higher for Whites than Blacks or Hispanics.

* Whites tend to have a higher proportion of combination of “subsaharian” and “east Asian” psychological traits. Some people, namely among Nordic and teutonics, can born with double risk, for example, suicide and drug addiction. Interestingly Latin speaker europeans seems less likely to become addicted or alcoholic.

But also the environmental conditions seems have a impact, what I called “shared unique/personal environment-gene interaction”. When circumstances and its genetic/behavioral dispositions worship against or for you.

Our environment also are not a blank paper specially in long term stabilized environments.

For example, we can predict in early age who will suffer systematic-sadistic persecution in school or who will likely to become a popular.

* Meanwhile, yet another Establishment media outlet stands on the sidelines and mocks us. This week it’s David Rothkopf at Foreign Policy:

The End of an Era … for White Males

“As demographics change, so does the definition of privilege.
[…]
A shrink I knew once said that if a reaction is out of proportion with its alleged cause, then there’s a piece of the story that has been omitted. In this case, the politicians in America and Europe who spew nationalist bile and fan the flames of anti-immigrant furor are tapping into a growing if unconscious cultural recognition that time is running out on what has been the world’s most privileged ethnic class.”

I don’t think it’s been good for us to have a governing class that delights in our destruction and celebrates our every setback. Am I mentally ill to believe this? I don’t think so. Am I “racist” to feel like the epidemic of drug overdoses hitting blue-collar Whites of West Virginia are hitting my people, even though I’m Canadian and white-collar? I guess so, but I’m fine with that now. The last decade has transformed my views on such things.

If the current ruling class didn’t want us to identify as a people then they shouldn’t have attacked us as a people. I think they chose their enemy poorly; I would not have chosen to take on us White men if I were them. Be that as it may, it’s game on now.

* I left England in 1980 and went to live and work in Bermuda. At that time I noticed that it was quite common for single black women to have children by two or more fathers, and for children to be adopted by neighbors or close family members. I remember thinking at the time that if a woman wanted a child to take care of her in her old age, the chances of getting a good one would be improved by diversifying the fathers so as to obtain different genes and more family connections. This was many years before I ever read Dawkins.

However I never thought that this was really a conscious decision–just a pattern of behavior that was frowned upon, but not considered in any way scandalous.

* To liberals, whites are evil for selling dope to the Chinese. White folks PUSHED dope on the Chinese.

To the very same liberals, Mexicans are NOT evil for selling dope to Americans. White folks DEMAND dope from Mexicans.

To liberals, neither Mexicans nor Chinese have moral agency. They are dust motes buffeted by white winds.

* But it was more than big pharma. There was a entire medical sub-specialty (“pain management”) rising in the 90′s with doctors families’ mouths to feed and bar-mitzvah’s to pay for.

* If white people don’t toughen up and fight they deserve what they get. The only people fighting are the ones who are short a few brain cells: the Oregon occupiers have to be the most strategically clueless group of people anywhere.

If someone says something in your personal life or work life that is disrespectful to whites do you say something or hide what you are feeling and sulk in private? Everyone American white I’ve ever seen just sulks.

Say something. I do. Losers cower, winning groups speak up. Your silence is the reason white people are going down in flames.

None of this is meant to imply be a racist d#$k. Half the comments since moving to Unz.com have been borderline KKK. What I’m saying is that white people have the exact same right to be comfortable in their own skin as any other group.

* Trump is the only candidate I’ve seen who links building a wall to stopping the flow of drugs. Talk about a superb rationale for building a wall, that’s it. Of course, Dumb White Liberals get all huffy and hypocritical on the issue of drugs. On the one hand, they want more drug treatment and view drug addicts with tremendous non-judgmental sympathy. On the other hand, when Mexico’s nefarious role in the drug trade enters the discussion, DWLs suddenly put on their personal responsibility hats, blaming the “white suburban” addicts for “causing” the mayhem in Mexico. Go to a NY Times comment thread sometime if you don’t believe me, it’s truly hilarious.

* I have completely given up trying to debate with leftists at all. We share little if any common ground anymore. At best, such debates devolve into mockery, and at worst into outright outrage. There are no winners. No one learns anything. The virtue of civil debate is dying rapidly and the left seems to be killing it the most quickly.

My mental health has improved immensely since I stopped engaging with them.

*

* Obesity and SSI-disability receipt are perhaps the best predictors of the county-level White Death rates. Alcoholism and suicide must be part of the package, too.

My general thought about the Black Death is that it follows a collapse of the (within-community) conservatism of many black leaders that probably contributed to some of the fall in crime rates since 1999; it’s worth noting that for example the NAACP largely supported welfare reform in 1995. The last few years have been about an institutionalized and collective forgetting of the hard-won lessons of the social disintegration and crime wave of 1969-1989 black America.

Anatomy Of The LA Riots

Comments to Steve Sailer:

* How does O.J’s fugitive run relate to Bruce/Caitlyn?

Reading your insight about racially charged female intra-sexual competion on the jury, I wonder if there is also a connection to how most of the Kardashian/Jenner sisters and brother seem to exclusively date black people. As does Kris Jenner since her divorce. I know inter-racial dating is quite normalized in the LA circles they run in, but it seems less like they’re dating assorted races, and more like black people only.

All of them, even the younger Jenner sisters to an extent, must have grown up with the spectre of the murders and aftermath hanging over their heads, and all the racial-sexual tensions that lay just beneath the surface of the trial. (Does that make sense? I write even worse than Willa Paskin.)

On the bitchy, uncensored type of gossip forums, there is a running theme that Pimp Mama Kris instilled it in her girls to always pursue black men, because they are dumb and easily manipulated. But I think that’s just gossipy fluff, and that something deeper drives it.

* Robert Kardashian (Kim’s father) was OJ’s longtime lawyer and the first person to whom the Juice turned when he realized he was in trouble. The whole family’s fame stems from that.

I am from California, and was on the East Coast when the murders happened. By coincidence, I was getting ready to drive back west for grad school (in LA) right at that time. I left on Saturday, June, 18th, 1994. The night before, several friends took me out (in DC) for a goodbye party. That was the day of the Bronco chase. We all watched it live from a Georgetown bar.

I made it to LA. It’s hard to describe the extent to which OJ news dominated the local media market for the next 16 months. It was absolutely public topic #1 and there was no #2.

BTW, Steve, right after the verdict the Weekly Standard published a piece by Gertrude Himmelfarb (Bill Kristol’s mom) called something like “race trumps gender.” That switched on a light for me.

* I never thought Ron Goldman was gay. I figured he and Nicole were having a relationship and he got mixed up in it. I suppose his lifestyle could make him as gay, but it seems just as likely that he was Hollywood/LA metrosexual trying to break into the entertainment industry. Reading his bio the poor guy comes off as a bit of an aimless flake.

Other crimethought that I picked up from Jeff Toobin’s book:

College athletics are an academic sham. OJ was at most semi literate.

Women will put up with thuggish men.

News reporters can be too credulous/puritan. Toobin was shocked that Nicole Brown and her sister Denise had breast implants but not college degrees. Why would she want to go to college? She had a famous husband and money.

* Ron Goldman struck me as another young person who moves to California, hoping to translate looks into acting. When they find out how competitive it is the end up working in the service industry while trying to find bit parts or do commercials. And a whole lot of them aren’t particularly bright or 4-year college material.

When OJ met Nicole she fit this description to a “T” – she was a waitress herself at a trendy nightclub.

These types of folks are a continuous feed for the California porn industry, or for reality TV shows like “Fear Factor” which never had any fat or average looking participants because they could tap into an endless supply of attractive 25 year-olds willing to eat bugs to get on TV.

* You should read Faye Resnick’s book. In it she states that she and Nicole were pals as far as going out to party, looking for guys etc. She states that her and Goldman were not dating, because Nicole hadn’t known him very long when they both died (at most a few weeks) but that Nicole’s pattern post-divorce from OJ, was to date just about anyone who came along. So while she makes it clear that they both weren’t in a relationship, she believed it was only a matter of time before she and Goldman would’ve been lovers.

“Women will put up with thuggish men”.

Up to a point. Evidently even Nicole had a breaking point and didn’t want to get bashed up for the thousandth and first time which is why she finally left.

Funny thing, is that had she lived, Nicole Brown had a good chance of landing her own reality show a la “The wives of OC”; or C-list celebrities type of thing, perhaps even appearing on shows with other jilted wives/women living their own lives.

“Why would she want to go to college? She had a famous husband and money.”

Finish the sentence. Because she got a divorce and what was she going to do the rest of her life? What was she up to the last yr of her life, aside from partying with Faye Resnik, and looking for boyfriends? Once she was divorced, she wasn’t guaranteed the several million dollar lifestyle that being “Mrs. OJ” afforded her. One biography of her basically describes her as an aimless affable ditz, to be honest, where she once stated in her early twenties “I hope to have some goals and a plan for my life one day.” Shame it never fully occurred to her that she’d have to grow up and figure that out. After all, once her looks would start to fade she would’ve been dumped by OJ anyway and then no more fancy lifestyle.

But since she was the one that made the break and left him, it was a total blow to his ego and pride.

Its almost like, had she lived, she would’ve faded into reality show or infomercial obscurity.

Speaking of aimless flakes, whatever became of Kato Kaelin? Now there was a real character to say the least.

* I have yet to meet a black lesbian who didn’t despise O. J. Simpson. Maybe Marcia Clark could have packed the jury with angry, man-hating black lesbians and got a totally different verdict.

* When OJ met Nicole around 1976, he had just turned thirty and she was about 18 just out of high school. Basically before she had to make any difficult decisions about her life like having a plan, goals, what to do with life, etc etc. he made that decision for her by showering her with loads of attention. Had a young Joe Montana done the same thing she would’ve jumped at the chance to be with him as well. In other words she didn’t have the full maturity to make a decision about what to do long term with her life, and then OJ came along and made her decision all that much easier: Be a trophy GF, then wife of a famous athlete/entertainer. In SoCal, then as now, perhaps few women wouldn’t turn that offer down. Its not like Nicole had her designs on a young Bill Gates/Mark Zuckerberg/Steve Jobs type of that era. Hooking up with a famous athlete, for a lot of women, apparently is a pretty good gig.

Kinda like winning the lottery of life.

* I never understood how shocked people are by this kind of shit.

Goldman was running around with another man’s wife…

He was asking for it…..any time you screw another man’s wife you run this risk….in some countries its considered duty to kill a cheating wife.

White American women are spoiled beyond belief.

* Uh, you do know that Nicole had been divorced from OJ for over a year when she died. You do know that, correct?

No, guess apparently you don’t.

* In the immortal words of Jonathan Stuart Lebowitz, “There are 2 kinds of people; those who know OJ did it, and idiots.”

* I knew the country had gone mad in March ’91, when the L.A. Times ran a front page article about MECHA claiming it was “racism” that the Dodgers were releasing Fernando Valenzuela, with his 18.50 spring E.R.A.

* I was one the only person in my circle who predicted OJ’s acquittal. I asserted quite seriously that if video surfaced of OJ committing the murder the jurors would quite eagerly accept the defense’s naked assertion that the video was part of a racist frame-up. OJ would be acquitted under any circumstances. All of this was crystal clear to me on the day that it was announced the trial would be moved downtown and what that meant in terms of the jury pool. The only thing astonishing about the verdict was white America’s astonishment. I could hardly fathom the extraordinary naïveté and ignorance of the racial hostility of black Americans to white Americans. It was payback time. Picking black men for the jury or excluding evidence of OJs abusive behavior would have been irrelevant to the primary issue to the black jurors; tipping the scales of racial justice.

* Apparently the Brits are all in a tizzy over PM Cameron’s far-right racist-fascist-Nazi KKK hate speech, in which he used the phrase (get near your fainting couch) “bunch of migrants.”

* I attended a 70% black elementary school and grew up in a largely black neighborhood. My “worldview” on these matters has remained essentially unchanged since then. Despite being very young and inexperienced during the OJ trial, I never doubted for a moment that he would walk when I saw the jury pool demographics. I couldn’t believe the fact that the “mature” white adults around me thought otherwise.

But I don’t really hold it against blacks. I just accept them for who they are, and wonder what’s wrong with the people who insist that they are not.

* Was O.J. Simpson simply the first black NFL thug? While the league pretends to deplore incidents of players battering or even killing their wives and girlfriends it realizes such behavior is not unusual amongst the hoodrat class it recruits from.

Maybe the league was able to keep these kind of incidents quiet a generation or two ago or owners were still able to enforce minimum standards of conduct. Growing up I recall players getting arrested for disorderly conduct or DUI on occasion but incidents of rape, murder and domestic battery escaped my notice as did players being arrested for brawling at strip clubs.

If the NCAA winked at academic standards for football players, schools and coaches could be very strict as far as personal conduct rules were concerned. Getting kicked off your team in college did not make you particularly sought after in the NFL draft.

* I’ve never trusted black women. They all are partially deaf as that can be the only explanation why they yell at each other while standing only a foot or so from each other.

* I have long believed that the Simpson murder trial, beginning with the nationally televised white bronco chase, marked the decisive moment when the news media came into their own as the shapers of public thought and the priest-purveyors of infotainment-propaganda, and therefore at the same time a substantial change was wrought at the most fundamental level of our culture.

Up until that point we were still a nation of civilized adults. Despite whatever social problems may have existed, the heart and soul of the historic American nation was still salvageable. After OJ, it was just a matter of time until it all fell apart.

I was only 13 at the time, but I remember feeling that something I had known and believed in was fading away. The three big events of that year—the OJ Simpson trial, the death of Nixon, and the Oklahoma city bombing—will forever mark for me the transition from feeling like I belonged to something to feeling like an outsider in my own country.

* The Kardashian thing for black guys is more like a TV fantasy, like the various male equivalents on TV like being a crab fisherman in the Bering Sea or whatever.

* As Bill Maher pointed out to Kim K., “your father started a proud Kardashian tradition: getting black men off.”

* Toobin was shocked that Nicole Brown and her sister Denise had breast implants but not college degrees.

That speaks well of the sisters: they understood that a woman’s chance for fulfillment in life are greatly enhanced by a spectacular chest, not so much by a college degree.

* The Rodney King trial must have had a lot to do with Simpson’s acquittal, and the anger at the verdict in the King case was largely due to media manipulation of the evidence, i.e. the way the edited tape of the beating was shown again and again for a year on TV before the trial. As soon as the news came that the trial venue was to be moved to Santa Monica, blacks must have been savouring the prospect of revenge, as the King trial had also been moved to a location more favourable to the defendants. I don’t think I’d like to be a Santa Monica juror who got OJ a death sentence.

*

Fill it with more whites than blacks. Basically jury deliberations in a racialized trial like this are just waiting games until the holdouts cave, and blacks tend to be less willing to spend days sitting in a room in defense of moral principle than whites are.

Until the blacks play the Race Card, then all the squishy California whites fold like cheap suits.

After the event one or two explained to me that Simpson might actually have killed the two victims, but the prosecution had failed to prove its case “beyond reasonable doubt”.

There’s a requisite threshold of intellect for a jury system to function properly. Or, garbage in, garbage out. The black reaction to the verdict showed that it was not a fluke, but a function of blacks’ qualities.

Of course in the civil trial that followed, the standard of proof was lower and a jury found that Simpson WAS responsible. It has always seemed to me that the subsequent sentencing of Simpson to 33 years in prison for what sounded like a relatively minor act of criminality in recuperating some of his memorabilia which was of disputed ownership and no one was injured was really an act of retaliation by the judiciary.

Sort of like how the Academy supposedly gave Denzel an Award for a role that didn’t deserve it, as payment for one that did, but wasn’t recognized at the time.

As I recall there were no riots or mass protestations of innocence at the time of the verdict by an all-white jury or at his sentencing.

Well, attention spans…

Katrina introduced mine, then Duke Lacrosse and the Knoxville Horror showed how the media and society at large were complicit. I’m probably a little more junior than most of you, though.

Mine was 9/11.

Not the way it went, but that it went *exactly* 5-4 along party lines. That’s when I knew everyone was just out for themselves and the world was corrupt.

? Currently only Republicans are going after Hillary for Benghazi and Emailgate; the question isn’t why they’re going after her, but why the Democrats aren’t.

“We’ll talk about OJ when you talk about Emmit Till”.

IQ is linked to morality; how stupid do you have to be to not notice that “we” talk about Emmit Till constantly, and had for decades before the OJ murders?

So Shapiro was upset by the death of the Jew but not the beheading of the shiksa?

According to Torah both were committing deep sin.

Somehow I doubt religion had much to do with it. More like race.

Ar my place of work at an investment bank there was quite an opposite reaction.

The whites all cheered and the blacks looked on dumbfounded?

Once she was divorced, she wasn’t guaranteed the several million dollar lifestyle that being “Mrs. OJ” afforded her.

Yojimbo, meet California divorce law. California divorce law, this is Yojimbo.

Women ***want*** thuggish men. Fixed it for you.

I guess Brown left OJ because he stopped beating her. And obviously OJ being rich had nothing to do with anything.

White American women are spoiled beyond belief

Yeah, where’d she get the idea she could divorce a man who beat her on a regular basis? And then sleep with someone else? The nerve. Allahu Akbar.

The only thing astonishing about the verdict was white America’s astonishment.

It wasn’t astonishing at all. Without direct experience, or information exchange, people project as a matter of course. Fish assume everything breathes water, and people assume other people share their moral universe. Most whites either have little or no experience with blacks, or rationalize their experience avoiding blacks with “good neighborhoods” and such. And whites have been on lockdown for a long time vis-a-vis speaking the truth about blacks, so word of mouth (fuggedabout other media of exchange) doesn’t help. In short, many whites were actually learning something about blacks at the time.

The prosecution deserved to lose after it had Simpson try to put on the glove.

They were too stupid to hire an expert to show them how to pull on a tight-fitting glove easily, then take it off, then become “unable” to pull it on again, because of some silly “trick” he’s doing with his hand. ‘Course the blacks on the jury all wanted to be able to pretend they’d been fooled.

I attended a 70% black elementary school and grew up in a largely black neighborhood.

The fact that you have had far more experience with blacks than most whites hasn’t occurred to you as decisive?

* In high school, we had a black female from FACTER (Flint Area Council to End Racism) come in and speak to us.

I forget the context but, at one point, one of Obama’s sons told her that, after he watched the film Amistad, he wanted to punch the first white person he saw.

What was this “anti-racist” female’s response?

Was it: “that would have been racist”

or

“you shouldn’t blame people for what other people who kind of looked like them did centuries ago”?

Of course not.

She said, literally just like you said “don’t do that; we don’t need another brother in jail.”

That was my first real indication that justice, to blacks, is spelled Just Us.

* I watched a good deal of the OJ trial and recall that many White SJW commentators predicted a conviction because the trial was a test of the Black jury’s and Black community’s capacity for justice and social responsibility … and they would come through. Of course, they failed miserably.

As I recall, the seniment of many Blacks interviewed after the trial was that, even if OJ was guilty, no more Black men prosecuted by a White power structure should go to prison, period! Besides, we can assume, he killed White people … and White people who suffer violence at the hands of Black people deserve it because ALL WHITES share COLLECTIVE GUILT for the plight of Black people in White America. Back then, this had the same import and appeal as the case today of reparations for Blacks to make amends for “White privilege” decades before that term became current.

The case for collective suffering to make amends for collective guilt actually has a broader appeal than you might think. For example, Angela Merkel appears to accept that ALL GERMANS share COLLECTIVE GUILT for what the Nazis did to the Jews so that their current suffering in the face of foreign invasion is justified. Come on! At some point the collective guilt can reach such proportions that the perpetrators should commit suicide to balance the scales of justice. Faced with that, what’s wrong with a few murders and sexual assaults in the balance of things? Perhaps this is jumping the gun a bit … but, the the end of the day, justice is done … both in the OJ case and in the ongoing Islamic invasion of Germany.

Donald Trump Vs Neo-Cons

Boyd D. Cathey writes:

Let’s go deeper: various authors and historians, including Prof. Paul Gottfried, Prof. Claes Ryn, and Gary Dorrien (in his path-breaking volume, The Neoconservative Mind) have documented that the present-day “Mainstream Conservative Movement,” is, in fact, composed of power-seeking, self-congratulatory, and corrupt Neocon New York/DC elites, whose thin and venal intellectual fiber is the antithesis of an older, American conservatism.

More recently columnist Tucker Carlson, in Politico Magazine has observed exactly the thing. He writes about how baffled the Mainstream/Neocon Republican brain trust remains about Donald Trump’s rise: “In the case of Trump…the GOP shares the blame, and not just because his fellow Republicans misdirected their ad buys or waited so long to criticize him. Trump is in part a reaction to the intellectual corruption of the Republican Party. That ought to be obvious to his critics, yet somehow it isn’t. [Tucker Carlson, “Donald Trump is Shocking, Vulgar…and Right: And, My Dear Republicans, It is All You Fault,” Politico Magazine ]

The Mainstream/Neocons control most foundations, think tanks, and publications that claim to be “conservative.” They provide the policy wonks for every GOP presidential candidate, except Trump. They exercise tight control over much Republican Party thinking, such as it is. This is, of course, key to the recent frantic, even desperate printed salvo by 22 Neocon writers in the Neocon publication, National Review. Trump threatens their authoritarian intellectual–and financial—control over the febrile and castrated supposed “opposition” to the onrushing Progressivism that is destroying this country. He represents a citizen profile which is truly “populist conservative,” and NOT elitist “movement conservative.” And that literally scares the “you know what” out of them….

For years since they infiltrated and subverted the older rightwing traditional conservative movement, which began back in the 1950s, the Neocons have offered rosy solutions which have led what is left of this nation into a succession of unwinnable wars, faulty nation-building, miserable failures and misadventures in foreign policy. They have pushed their secular nostrums with a quasi-religious zeal, inherited from their previous devotion to Leon Trotsky’s Marxist globalism, to impose liberal democracy and egalitarianism on every 13th century corner of the globe, including creating model peoples’ democracies in Uzkekistan, Zimbabwe, Upper Volta, and, even Lower Slobbovia. (If you don’t know where that is, go look up cartoonist Al Capp.) In this they’ve failed totally. The God-given Laws of Nature can’t be changed, even by the likes of George Will, John Bolton, or even Charles Krauthammer….

Domestically, their egalitarianism and mania for equality has led many formerly traditional conservative publications, especially National Review, and many so-called “conservative” writers, including Jonah Goldberg, and writers for The Wall Street Journal and The Weekly Standard, plus Fox News pundits, to accept–and defend–same sex marriage as “conservative.” Now, some at NR even suggests that “transgenderism” may be “conservative.” What’s next? Incest as a “conservative” value? Actually, that’s been proposed in Germany. Expect to see Jonah Goldberg eventually writing in The Wall Street Journal defending it.

And the Neocons, especially at National Review and commentators on Fox (e.g. Krauthammer, Steve Hayes, George Will, Jonah Goldberg, et al), increasingly denounce, for example, Russia because it refuses to sanction same sex marriage and does not guarantee full “equality” for and lavish praise on its gay population. Given their fundamental philosophy, this is logical. It is they who are the ones afraid of open debate, not Donald Trump. (Ted Cruz’s taunt on this issue is completely laughable.)

Remember this quote by a National Review writer several years ago that actually let the cat out of the bag? Here is “conservative,” uber-Zionist writer Stephen Schwartz writing for NR, that formerly conservative publication founded by the late William F. Buckley:

“To my last breath, I will defend Trotsky who alone and pursued from country to country and finally laid low in his own blood in a hideously hot house in Mexico City, said no to Soviet coddling to Hitlerism, to the Moscow purges, and to the betrayal of the Spanish Republic, and who had the capacity to admit that he had been wrong about the imposition of a single-party state as well as about the fate of the Jewish people. To my last breath, and without apology. Let the neofascists and Stalinists in their second childhood make of it what they will.” [see Paul Gottfried’s commentary on Takimag.com, April 17, 2007]

You tell me how any of this is truly “conservative,” at least as many of us once understood that term back in the 1960s?

Mainstream /Neoconservatism is at odds fundamentally and philosophically with the older, traditional conservatism that actually created this country in the late 1780s, what one writer has called “gut conservatism,” which reflects those familial and inherited beliefs and customs that first annealed this republic. What is amorphously termed “conservatism” today is largely farcical, a bunch of self-important, self-appointed endlessly-arguing “thought-setters” who end up talking to themselves and to an ever-shrinking circle of chattering class readers….all the while a much, much larger group of Americans sink inevitably into the defecated morass of a culturally and politically poisonous black hole, AKA, America circa 2016.

Donald Trump may not really know the value of his candidacy. But, in fact, he is now challenging frontally that rotten and poisonous “Mainstream/Neocon” narrative. He is reaching far beyond just the “movement” and their deleterious ideas and policies. And now, with the attack on Trump by the most prominent vehicle of the Mainstream/Neocon elites, National Review, and by its incestuous partner-in-crime, the Murdoch media empire, the war is fully joined.

COMMENTS:

* May I just say that I am thoroughly sick and tired of this meme going around—now found in the mouths of callers-in to radio talk shows, influential members of the media, and even presidential candidate Jeb Bush himself—to the effect of, “If Donald Trump can’t handle questions from Megyn Kelly, how’s he gonna handle Putin?”

We may recall that it was Kelly herself who initiated this little quip the day after the first FOX debate, when Trump gave her the dressing down she so richly deserved. I don’t doubt that in the imaginary universe that exists in Kelly’s mind (the one that revolves around her) the notion that Trump is afraid of her has some truth value. In the real world, however, it is devoid of substance; and it is quite telling that the rest of the Republican Beta Brigade would latch on to and repeat little miss Megyn’s bit of self-flattering fiction. By doing so they have demonstrated not only weakness but a lack of any respect for truth.

In the first place, Trump is not afraid of Megyn Kelly. Not in any way, shape, or form.

In the second place, Putin does not need to be “handled.” Vladimir Putin is an immensely gifted leader and an Orthodox Christian who has never threatened the interests of the American people. He is a threat only to the Anglo-Zionist Neoconservative Empire. I’m sure Trump and Putin would get along just fine. For the Beta Brigade to use Putin as a stock villain is only a sort of moral preening meant to dog-whistle the support of reflexively anti-Russian GOP voters of the elderly, working class demographic—the very people the party has been throwing under the bus for decades now. It isn’t going to work anymore. Those people are either dead, indifferent, disgusted, or voting Trump.

The dastardliness here is so obvious that it’s almost subtle and easy to overlook, but it is so decisive that it has to be called out and brought into focus. When Ted Cruz and Jeb Bush accuse Donald Trump of being afraid of Megyn Kelly, they are saying something that they damn well know is not even true and are doing so by entering beta-like into the fictional self-importance of the current it-girl while demonizing the strongest and best Christian leader the world has on offer.

Are these really the men we want for president?

LAT: Her pink Taser, poisoned hamburger patties and an iPhone: the story of a wife who lured an Orange County fugitive out of Iran

How is this woman allowed to practice law in California?

Los Angeles Times:

When three men escaped from the Orange County jail, officials quickly decided only one of the escapees possessed the cunning and resourcefulness to mastermind it: Hossein Nayeri, a 37-year-old ex-Marine who faced charges in a grisly kidnapping and torture plot.

Around Nayeri’s former wife, 29-year-old Cortney Shegerian, the anxiety was extreme. She was rushed into hiding. She assumed a fake name. During the eight days Nayeri was on the run — from his escape on Jan. 22 to his capture Saturday morning — the people around her feared for her life.

As the manhunt dragged on, authorities were convinced that if Nayeri remained in California, it was to stalk and kill her. Her lawyers, and the district attorney’s office, implored the media not to mention her name, for fear of inflaming him.

The source of Nayeri’s rage? Shegerian had played a central role in putting him behind bars in the first place, participating in an elaborate law-enforcement scheme to lure him out of Iran — and into an extradition-friendly country — in November 2013.

Shegerian, now an employment-rights attorney at a prominent Santa Monica firm, had admitted to detectives that she helped her husband conduct surveillance on a Newport Beach pot-dispensary owner, who was later abducted and tortured, his penis severed. Facing the possibility of criminal charges, she agreed to cooperate against her husband…

At her husband’s behest, she said, she made hamburger patties laced with an unknown poison intended for the parents’ dog, because it was too loud, according to Peters’ testimony. “She stated she assumed they were given to (the victim’s) parents’ dog,” Peters said. It wasn’t clear if that part of the plan was carried out.

Before the kidnapping, she heard Handley and her husband in her garage experimenting with a butane torch, according to Peters’ testimony. Further, Peters said, “Mr. Nayeri borrowed her pink Taser.”

…In 2005, Nayeri was arrested in connection with a drunk-driving crash in Madera County that killed his best friend, a 26-year-old aspiring sports broadcaster. He pleaded guilty to drunk driving and causing great bodily injury, which resulted in a year in prison and probation, according to the victim’s lawyer.

In 2009, when she was 22, Shegerian wrote a letter to a Madera County judge in support of Nayeri, describing herself as a pre-law student who had known him for nearly seven years.

…hey married in 2010 and lived together in Irvine, but had been married only seven months when she filed a domestic violence restraining order against him. She claimed he had pinned her to the floor with his foot on her chest, and put her in a chokehold. She said he suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder, depression and anxiety, and had been drinking heavily. She said he threatened to kill her with a box cutter.

“He could definitely come and try to hurt or kill me,” she wrote in court documents.

A Los Angeles judge annulled their marriage in 2015 on the basis of bigamy, ruling that he had not legally ended a previous marriage to a woman in Iran, where he had lived…

The California State Bar would not comment on whether it was aware of her connection to the kidnapping case when it admitted her in May 2014.

Weinberg — who represents Handley, one of Nayeri’s co-defendants in the kidnapping and torture case — said Shegerian was the only witness against his client and questioned whether her account can be believed.

“How can she say she was unaware there was a criminal enterprise?” Weinberg said. “Imagine someone inquisitive enough to go to law school not asking her husband, ‘Why do you want me to poison a dog?'”

Here’s another story on this case:

ESL teacher may have played a ‘significant role’ in helping 3 O.C. inmates escape

Hossein Nayeri graduated from high school near Fresno and served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Despite this American upbringing, though, the inmate managed to enroll in an English-as-a-second-language class at Men’s Central Jail in Orange County.

There, he befriended his teacher, Nooshafarin Ravaghi. She was 44 and the author of several children’s books. He was 37 and awaiting trial in a torture and kidnapping case. Both had family roots in Iran.

The two began a written correspondence that a Sheriff’s Department spokesman said was “far closer than appropriate.”

Now, Ravaghi is suspected of helping her student and two other inmates escape. She has admitted to giving Nayeri a Google Maps printout showing the roof of the jail, but has denied providing him with the cutting tools the trio used to break out of the high-security lockup, authorities said.

National Review, Donald Trump and Moral Bank Accounts

Dennis Prager writes Jan. 26, 2015:

National Review’s special issue, “Against Trump” was courageous and important.

There is no way to do good in this world without risking making enemies. That National Review was prepared to do that — among its own readers, no less — in this day of great financial challenges to newspapers, magazines, and news and opinion websites, was an act of courage.

In opposing Donald Trump for president — which, it happens, I did in a column I wrote four years ago — I face the same issue among some in my radio audience. I receive emails from listeners who say they can longer to listen my show because of my opposition to Trump (though I do regularly distinguish between Trump and his supporters).

Interestingly, the two issues — one being the listeners and readers who will no longer listen to or read anti-Trump Republicans whom they have admired for decades and the other being an important reason Trump is unfit to be president — are the same.

It is something vitally significant in life — the concept of the moral bank account.

Every human being has one. The moral bank account is identical to a monetary bank account with the obvious exception that one measures moral activity while the other measures financial activity. We make deposits and withdrawals in each account…

In fact, conservatives who support Trump should do something else — ask themselves why nearly every conservative they have admired for so long is opposed to Trump.

Finally, the moral bank account concept should also apply to the candidate himself. In terms of conservative values, the man either has no moral bank account or it is in the red. He has made very few conservative deposits, but has made a fair number of significant withdrawals (support for nationalized health care, support for the Clintons, support for partial birth abortion, opposition to free trade, personal defamation and mockery of political opponents, among others). For a Republican candidate, that is saying something.

Nor do I have confidence that he would nominate conservatives to the Supreme Court — perhaps the most important thing the next president will do. Nevertheless, I will vote for Trump if he is nominated — because I do not believe he will do nearly as much damage as another Democratic president. But he must not be nominated. Moral bank accounts matter.

Israeli Tourism Minister Blasts U.S. Reform Jews, Says Chelsea Clinton’s Wedding Shows Extent of Assimilation

Non-Orthodox Jews, including Reform Jews, will still be around in significant numbers in 200 years, but as each year goes past, Orthodox Judaism plays a bigger role in Jewish life. This has been a steady trend from the 1960s and there is no reason to expect it to stop. Orthodox Judaism is the only form of Jewish organization shown to perpetuate itself.

From Haaretz:

During government hearing on non-Orthodox prayer space at the Western Wall, Yariv Levin slams the U.S. largest Jewish movement, saying prayer space unnecessary since Reform Jews will be all but gone in three generations.

Tourism Minister Yariv Levin sharply attacked the American Jewish Reform movement during Sunday’s government hearing on the compromise regarding a non-Orthodox prayer space at the Western Wall, saying that Chelsea Clinton’s wedding to her Jewish partner, officiated by a Reform rabbi and a priest, shows the extent of assimilation among Reform Jews in the United States.
“The Reform Jews in the U.S. are a waning world,” Levin said during the meeting, targeting the largest religious movement among U.S. Jews, estimated at over a million and a half people. “The assimilation there is of enormous extent. They don’t even properly track [the assimilation] inside their communities. The evidence is that a man who calls himself a reform rabbi is standing there with a priest and weds Hillary Clinton’s daughter, and no one condemns it, thereby legitimizing it.”
Levin said that with this reality among members of the Reform movement in the United States, the controversy over non-Orthodox prayer at the Western Wall will become irrelevant within two or three generations because, he claimed, all of the Reform Jews will have assimilated.
Ultimately, however, Levin supported the compromise plan for the non-Orthodox prayer plaza at the Western Wall, explaining that he was concerned that the High Court of Justice would issue a ruling on the matter that would provide even more favorable terms to the Reform movement, and therefore he saw the plan as the better of two bad alternatives.

NAACP leader uses F-word to apologize for using T-word after N-word meeting

Report:

But after the meeting, while participants were speaking with the media, he was caught on camera saying Channel 12 reporter Monique Griego had “nice tits.”

monique

“I can’t believe that someone in his position would not understand how inappropriate that comment was at the time that he made it,” says Ray Stern, a reporter for the Phoenix New Times, who was talking to Griego at the time.

“Here’s the leader of the NAACP talking about the N-word and then making this comment, that was more inappropriate than I could even believe,” he tells ABC 15.

The news station reports Harris doesn’t believe Griego heard him at the time and says he feels like he let down the NAACP. He calls his comment “ugly” and says it just slipped out “guy to guy.”

After the reaction, Harris now says he feels “down in the dumps.”

The New Times contacted Harris after that incident and reports the NAACP leader said, “I apologize if anyone was offended. I could have said nothing . . . I’m really f*cking sorry.”

He argued that the meeting was over when he complimented the reporter’s rack and then really blew a gasket (edited for a family audience):

“I’m going to slash my wrists,” he spews. “Better yet, I’m going to throw myself out of a f*cking window, except I’m on the first floor . . . I’m one of the best g*dd*mned people in the state.”

People criticized him when he first took over the NAACP chief post from the Reverend Oscar Tillman, who retired in 2014 after 22 years in the position, he says, because “I was the wrong flavor.

“They’ve seen me now, they’ve seen what I’ve done. I’ve given up my law practice. I’m down here six, seven days a week. That’s what my commitment is. I support NOW, the women’s organization — g*dd*mn! — are you sh*tting me? Are you going to write this up?”

Griego didn’t comment on the situation but Harris insists he wants to apologize face-to-face. (Of course he does.)

Last June, when white NAACP leader Rachel Dolezal was exposed for pretending to be black, Harris appeared on CNN and claimed “credibility” is one of the most important assets the organization has.

“This is a race-based organization — the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. And being a race-based organization, when you have a leader in any capacity, you’ve got to have credibility.

“Once you lose that credibility, the efficacy of your leadership fails,” Harris said.

Another Anti-Fascist Play

A friend says: Alone in the bathroom, I just snapped some Roman salutes, ironically of course. It made me feel amazing.
Try it when the door is locked.
Do it looking in the mirror.
Wow.
What a flood of power.
All part of my research for an anti-fascism play.
It will all be so exquisitely problematic. This will really unsettle audiences before I reassure them that democracy is the best form of government.
