"Peulat Sachir." Pico-Robertson’s Modern Orthodox rabbis launched this initiative a few months ago. It got a lot of publicity from the obeisant Jewish press.
Does it make any difference in the way anyone does business today? I’ve not heard anyone talk about this program for months. Either the Jews of Pico-Robertson don’t care about business ethics or they don’t care about this rabbinic initiative.
Perhaps it was never meant to make any practical difference. Perhaps it was only a public relations ploy.
