The top story on NYTimes.com right now is: "Thousands Line Up For Free Health Care."

Why is this news? Thousands of people would line up for free car care. Thousands of people would line up for free money. A free healthcare clinic is the same as handing out free money. You get $100 worth of medicine for free.
