Remember when the future was going to be awesome?
This movie starts off with the World Fair in 1964. That was the year before the United States began opening up immigration. From Canada to England to New Zealand and Australia and Germany and France, the West has allowed itself to get filled up with immigrants and now very few people in the West are optimistic about the future anymore.
I wonder if there might be a connection?
