Steve Sailer: Murders Up 84% in Chicago; in Unrelated News, ACLU, White House Cracking Down on Chicago PD for Racism

Comments:

* Watch out Dems! Trump’s call for law-and-order might go over big among respectable folk in the black community.

* Just goes to show you what Obamaniacs really think of black people. They fiddle while the slaughter proceeds apace.

Look! Racist squirrel!

* If the numbers become too inconvenient DOJ “statisticians” will just suppress or spin them.

* I’m seeing a pattern with some of our black inner cities and the Middle East. Without a strongman to oppress people, the ME seems to rise up in civil war and tribal strife to kill each other. In places like Chicago, without an oppressive police force to stop and frisk anyone looking suspicious, the gangs will maraud and rampage and kill each other.

There has a to be a happy medium between oppression and anarchy for these people. Am I dreaming?

* People who live in violent places tend to become paranoid. People who are paranoid tend to blame their chosen victim group for the violence, namely their ‘oppressors.’ They do this because it’s too much of a psychological stressor to blame their own criminal relatives for the rise in crime.

Therefore, you’ll see a direct correlation between anti-racist hysteria and violent crime. “If the police didn’t oppress us so much, we’d be safe,” is their paranoid way of thinking.

* I was reading an article about how Comcast refuses to enter certain Black neighborhoods in Chicago because they have had employees who were robbed at gunpoint.

I doubt Conmcast has this problem when they send their employees to a Polish neighborhood in Chicago.

* Actually, at least part of it has been the weather. Black homicide rates are partly correlated to weather, and Chicago has been having an extremely mild winter.

Heating degree days the last 3 complete months this year: 2855. Prior two years: 3459 and 3996. That is almost 7 degrees warmer on the average day compared to last year.

* Law & Order has several times dramatically driven home one aspect of the Ferguson Effect.

They regularly show officers responding to a call or making an arrest, and a large, jeering, crowd forming around them, with 15+ camera phones rolling in their faces. Is there any person who would not be less effective at their job with that going on?

* Here is a win/win solution. Citing complaints about the police from Blacklivesmatter, pull all law enforcement from black neighborhoods and let nature take its course.

* “The change was imposed after the American Civil Liberties Union raised questions about whether officers were targeting minorities in their stops.”

Officers should be targeting minorities in their stops, since the majority of criminal offenses are perpetrated by minorities who should be stopped before they commit more atrocities, and they are atrocities, not petty crimes. Chicago is a vile, corruption-infested city with little hope of redemption. It is painful to watch the city implode, knowing full well that the officials in charge, in their progressive policies, are simply hastening the day of total chaos and destruction. They will not, cannot, do what is necessary to turn the tide.

* The word “even” in that headline is pretty funny. “Predictably” would be more logical than “even.”

Even the completely neutral “Violence Surges in Chicago as Policing Debate Rages On” has a damning effect they don’t want.

* Here in PA, Senator Pat Toomey is running against BLM, his ads are saying he “denounced the riots” and has some cop lady telling us that he’s a friend to law enforcement. Meanwhile the democrats ads are touting their records on “criminal justice reform” and one guy is bragging that he was the only DA to convict an on-duty cop for something or other. Pretty weird how far apart the 2 sides are.

* So what’s the problem? The black community has spoken loud and clear that they prefer a hands off approach from law enforcement and so this is what they’ve gotten. The people have spoken. The extra casualties are just part of the price of doing business and the community is ok with that. The media reporting focuses on the homicide upsurge from the point of view of the victims and their families and dwells upon how terrible it is. However, the shooters aren’t aliens helicoptered in but are related to other members of the black community. A black is just as likely to be connected to a perp as well as to a victim and they wouldn’t want to see junior go to prison, hence the code of silence. A lot of people in the community are living off the proceeds of drug dealing or other criminal rackets.

* The main reason why blacks prefer to accuse whites than fellow blacks for all the problems of the black community is that whites are the ones who will listen and pay them some heed.

In contrast, a black accused by other blacks will just holler and pull out his gun.

Blacks demand sympathy and justice from whites because they can’t get any from their own kind.

* Dominos faced legal issues because of not delivering to high crime neighbourhoods. They used a green light, yellow light and red light system, for driver safety, where for safe areas they delivered to the door, to risky areas they made deliveries to the curb and to really dangerous areas they didn’t deliver. Naturally due to disparate impact they got critisised for pizza redlining and eventually sued by the US justice department and settled. So now Dominos has to deliver to all areas or follow a onerous procedure if they don’t want to deliver.

Article critical towards Dominos.

Forum posts on Dominos agreement with the justice department (the originals have expired but can be accessed through web archives).

A news article on a driver Corey Lind who probably died because of these policies.

I think his parents lost the lawsuit.

* Crime is up in many cities but one cause in Chicago that you don’t hear much about and may be contributing to the sharp rise in violence is the fact that most of the high rise housing projects in Chicago were torn down over the past decade and half or so. The gangs that controlled the drug trade and other concerns in the projects had to go somewhere. They were spread out randomly through the neighborhoods of Chicago, and even into Downstate Illinois cities, and now the gangs are trying to sort it all out. The gangs lost the lucrative projects but now are trying to reform new turfs in the neighborhoods that they were sent out into. Much of the violence seen lately is just the gangs enforcing their authority over new territory.
