Murderer. Rapist.
In the last few months, too many American politicians have been hurling bigoted slurs like these at our nation’s immigrants.
We’ve heard this ugly kind of hatred before. Many of our parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, and millions of other Jewish immigrants, faced this same kind of hate when they arrived. We were called these very same things. We were told we’d never be real Americans.
The millions of immigrants living in the U.S. today were driven here by the same hope for a better life that brought so many of our ancestors here. They are our friends, our family, our neighbors, and they contribute to the life and economy of this nation as much as anyone.
Bend the Arc put this ad on CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, and NBC to spark a critical conversation. Because denying the dignity of millions of Americans has no place in our national politics.
