Joe Biden Set To Be The Least Consequential Vice-President Since Hubert Humphrey

This summer when I heard people on the radio talking about what a great choice Joe Biden would be for vice-president because of his foreign policy credentials, I said, huh? What credentials? What has Joe Biden ever accomplished? I remember Brit Hume publishing a famous article in the New Republic in 1985 titled "Shut Up, Senator Biden."

The guy’s an airhead.

During the campaign, he said that Dick Cheney’s power was "dangerous."

Now he says that the power of vice-president under President Obama will return to its historical status, which is a "bucket of warm piss" to quote an FDR vice-president.

In Biden’s case, this smaller role "fits the man," as Charles Krauthammer put in on Fox News this afternoon.
