The conversion is a surprise considering how outspoken Jameson has been in the past about her Catholic faith.
“I’m very religious,” she told Larry King in 2013. “I think that we’ve come a long way religiously. I don’t think that you have to take the Bible literally … And I love being able to teach my children what it means to just believe and have the strength of faith … I’ve always been extremely Catholic. My father was Catholic, and he brought me up that way.”
As for Jameson’s fiancé, the Daily Beast reports the Israel-born diamond dealer was charged with insurance fraud after falsely reporting the theft of a 4.21-carat diamond from his jewelry store in 2010. He reportedly fled to Israel and attempted to sell the diamond he claimed was stolen and in 2011, pled guilty and was sentenced to three years of probation, 5 days in jail and 90 days of home confinement. He also had to return the diamond to the insurance company and pay $99,000 in restitution.
