I Start My Day Witnessing A Car Accident

I saw a car accident a hundred feet in front of me this morning at 6 am on La Cienega Blvd just south of Pico Blvd. There was an old white guy waiting for the bus on the west side of La Cienega. I’m listening to the book “Modern Times” on my phone. I hear a horn, a screech of brakes, a collision, and a new red car is clipped (perhaps because he was trying to change lanes) and the red car plows into the bus seat/wall next to the service station. Luckily, the old white guy jumps away on to the street and is not hurt. The young black kid gets out of the red car and he’s ok but his car is totaled. The other driver has sped away. This is the third time I’ve seen a car accident right in front of me that sends a car speeding on to a sidewalk.
