Musings

* We live in an age in which it is wonderful if a man wants to cut his dick off or take it up the tuches, but woe to him if he is a middle aged white man and dares to openly expresses a preference for young white women.

* Biggest lie in the world today: “My dog is a friendly dog.”

Chaim Amalek: Luke, given the tenor of your recent posts, some Yidden are wondering: when you use the word “dog” here, do you mean “Jew?”

* I find haggling excruciating. ‪#‎ConversionNotComplete‬

Chaim Amalek writes: “Yet another reason to doubt your Jewishness. Real Jews like me love to argue and haggle over everything. Our joy often accrues to the benefit of the goy, too. Did you know that wire was invented by two Jews who were fighting over a penny?”

* I think the primary determinant of whether or not you like your religion is how much you like the people there.

* From what I’ve seen, Chinese clients are much more difficult than Japanese and Korean ones. They are less respectful, less cooperative, less law-abiding, less honest.

Chaim Amalek writes: “Curiously, those Japanese who were occupying China during WW 2 were not, generally speaking, perceived as ‘polite.’ Perhaps atomic radiation makes a people more polite to others whom they secretly despise.”

* “It is something that maybe Luke, a convert, does not understand, but if you are Jewish, you grow up with the sense that however privileged, or “white” or safe & cushioned you think you think you are, that can all change in an instant. You may have to grab what you can and leave what you thought was your “home.” This sense of paranoia comes with the ethnic identity, not necessarily with the religion.” (Steven Ben-Off Abrams)
