Rachel Beyda & The Rule

Joe* emails: Western civilization (also known and referred to hereinafter as “Civilization”), right around the time that Eisenhower did his walk through tour of Auschwitz adopted a rule (the “Eisenhower Rule”) – you could not in polite company say or do not nice things about jews. You could do it at country clubs and maybe a john birch meeting, but not in anything with any public legitimacy.

This rule got so prophylactic, that in 1948, Civilization awarded the Jews a state so that if someone said something not nice to a Jew, the jew’s consolation prize was a country in just about the most backwards part of the world, where people still wipe their ass with their hands but aspire for nuclear hegemony.

Well, those who dislike Jews were not to be completely stymied and they began saying not nice things about Israel. For awhile it was just Israel does bad things, but there was no question that Israel was allowed to exist as a normal country.

Well, those who dislike Jews got sick and tired of just criticizing Israel for its conduct, they had to begin by criticizing Israel for its existence. These people would say, we are not anti-jew because we are in sync with the Eisenhower Rule, but the Jewish state cannot exist. You could therefore be anti-zionist but not break the Eisenhower Rule. I disagree with that, I do not think that if the african american community created a state and people said that it cannot exist that such a position would not be racist, but lets say, for sake of argument, that anti-zionism does not mean the anti-zionist hates jews – he just thinks that unlike other people, jews are not entitled to a state. Go figure how he gets around Bosnia, Albania, and just about all the Arab world in which states are for a certain people.

Now, let’s go to UCLA in 2015. There is no denying that Fabienne Roth and her three buddies would admit to being anti-Israel. They would have the Regents divest from Israel, ostensibly because Israel does bad things, not because Jews are bad, per se. I would even submit that Roth and her three buddies may even admit to being anti-Zionist, because there is no part of that position that means that they hate jews, they just do not want the jews to have a state. Kind of like when the prime minister of an ally comes to town to speak and you boycott it, not because you do not like the nationality of the speaker, you just do not like the fact that such nationality has a state. OK, I am good so far.

If that is the bargain with Civilization, namely that the Jews get a state but that everyone is free to shit on it, that works. I think that Eisenhower might even agree that although he would not think that kind of bargain is fair as he tripped over emaciated corpses of jews, but let’s give Eisenhower a liberal democrat stance on the whole thing, and Roth and her three buddies can be as anti-israel and anti-zionist as they want, but still can be in polite company.

Well, let’s just check the videotape. When Rachel Beyda (and by the way, just to show I am not a hard hearted guy, she is completely supernaturally beautiful) shows up, the question is “Given that you are a Jewish student and very active in the Jewish community… how do you see yourself being able to maintain an unbiased view?”

There was nothing about Israel or Zionism there. For all we know, Rachel Beyda likes going to Hillel for the free Shabbat dinners and is in a Jewish sorority because she likes dating jewish guys with chicken wing shoulders.

The question as to whether someone with those identities can be on a civic board is a question that Civilization decided not to ask from and after Emancipation. Unfortunately for Jew haters, the Nazis not only decided that Jews were not fit to be on civic boards, they were not fit to be alive. So, from and after the effective date of the Eisenhower Rule, it became in real bad taste and sanctionable by the type of opprobrium you get by making a joke about black females on a Rutgers basketball team, i.e., you lose your job.

So, there you have it, the anti-Israel and anti-Zionist tendencies of the far left, when espoused by millenials who do not have the sophistication of more mature anti-semites, is laid bare to be good old fashioned jew hatred, and right in the heart of Civilization, the student council at UCLA.

I am sure the ADL is going to be on this immediately.
