Random Acts Of Kindness

I was deeply moved that when I came to shul early this morning and sat in the corner sipping coffee and eating my protein bar, another Yid brought me a Gemara turned to the correct page for the Daf Yomi.

I need to practice more of these random acts of kindness.

Susan (who knew me at Avondale College in the early 1970s): “Luke Coffee is a sin…the holy spirit cannot reach you if you drink coffee…EG White.”

On the one hand, I understand more of the Gemara if I can read an English translation. On the other hand, it’s a thrill when I can make out the Hebrew and Aramaic words in a regular Gemara as the rabbi reads aloud.
