How Flexible Is Jewish Law?

Rabbi Ari Kahn tells Rabbi Jeremy Gimpel:

Rabbi Kahn: “I’m not a Cohen. Neither of this would have had leadership positions in the [Temple]. So how would that leave us feeling? Off to the side. Why should the Cohen do all the work, leaving us as spectators?”

Rabbi Gimpel sounds frantic throughout the program, trying to make his points through sheer number of words, trying to overwhelm his guest.

Julia writes to me on FB: “You sound a bit like an outsider! I want to welcome you to the family!! Relax, Jews are the way of life, that is it.. We are not religious we are just all crazy!!”
