Here’s a great share from a Sexaholics Anonymous meeting: “[When] I began to tell God exactly what I was thinking, feeling and doing, I had spiritual intimacy with God. That’s the solution today for me in my program, not only with God but with other people. My sponsor wants me to call somebody every time I have a lust thought or want to rubberneck… The key is intimacy. My addiction is settling for counterfeits of intimacy. I am always looking for something to make me feel intimate with another human being because I am so terrified of rejection… When I talk to you guys, I get that void filled.”
Cameron: “Intimacy starts with safety. If I don’t provide an environment that is safe for my wife, we won’t be intimate. The rare times she was vulnerable, I would store that as weapons for future fights.”
