First he’s pressured not to speak at Pasadena City College, whereas Dustin Lance Black, a white man with far less education and nowhere near the record of public service (recently famed for chasing after a British teenager less than half his age whom he saw in a Speedo at the 2012 Olympics) is quickly reinstated as a speaker.
