Back in 2003 Councilman Nick Pacheco was challenged by former State Assembly Speaker Antonio Villaraigosa who two years earlier lost the election for Mayor to Jim Hahn.
You may remember that when elected to the City Council Antonio told his constituents he would serve his full four year term and not run for Mayor in 2005. Oh well.
An attorney named Ricardo Torres II paid for a flyer to claiming as one of our readers told me "what many people on the Eastside knew: That Villaraigosa had left a trail of heartbreak amongst the women in his life, and that he treated the women in his life — like his campaigns for office. More conquest than relationship."
