In his editor’s note in the August issue of Los Angeles magazine, Editor Kit Rachlis writes that the Los Angeles Times has shown "…a disinterest in local politics."
"Disinterest" means impartial. "Uninterest" means not interested in.
It’s bad enough that the editor of this magazine doesn’t understand the English language, but it is a terrible indictment that his copy editors don’t know it either.
No wonder that the illiterate Rachlis misses the L.A. Times. These chumps were made for each other.
