Don’t believe the hype – or the unscrupulous internet reports – about the hot new sex video starring Vivica A. Fox.
A rep for the ‘Kill Bill’ actress denied the buzz that has been burning up the new media scene for the past few days.
"It is not true," Fox’s tight-lipped attorney Lita Richardson told The BV Newswire late last week.
On Jan. 2, some legitimate media outlets picked up on an item by popular Atlanta-based blogger Sandra Rose, who wrote how an "apparently inebriated" Fox was allegedly caught on camera performing fellatio on an "man," who "surreptitiously taped" the act and promptly emailed the footage to his friends.
To add insult to injury, the story took on a life of its own with an additional additive about how the 41-year-old star of films such as ‘Booty Call’ and ‘Two Can Play that Game’ was forwarded the tape by friends and passed it onto the Atlanta police department.
Atlanta radio personality Porche Foxx (an alleged friend of the actress) found herself embroiled in the mix and talked about it at length on her of V103-FM radio show last week, revealing that the brass of the CBS Radio-owned station informed her that detectives were seeking her. "I learned the greatest lesson about the news when I became the news," Foxx said.
The brazen broadcaster then called a local policeman while live on the airwaves and explained her involvement in the whole fiasco, admitting, "I never said Vivica Fox made a sex tape. I said ‘friend of mine’ and ‘it’s been rumored.’"
"I didn’t even mention Vivica Fox’s name … I’m not sure how this took off but it did."
