Earning A Living Is Interfering With My Relationship With God

When I was writing on the porn industry, I could pray in shul three times a day and spend my spare time at the feet of the sages studying Torah. There was time to write about Jenna Jameson and then get jacked on the Sfat Emet. One minute I could talk to Mary Carey and the next I could get stuck into the Mishneh Torah.

Now I have to slave day and night to get my Google AdSense payout to $7 a day. I don’t have time to hang out in the Beit Midrash let alone to sip Jamba Juice smoothies in the sun with women of low morals.

I just don’t feel as spiritual as I was three months ago.

Sigh.

Judaism is a tough religion. Not only do you have to know stuff, you have to practice it as well with a community. And then it can get really hard to keep dirty secrets, particularly when you have compulsion to blog them all.
