Steve Sailer: Gallup: Hispanic Voters’ Tidal Wave of Fear and Loathing Postponed Yet Again

Comments at Steve Sailer:

* For all their faults, nothing has given me a higher opinion of American Hispanics than the fact that they’re so indifferent to liberal elites trying to mobilize them to put the final nail in the coffin of white America. Sure, there are a few things in the Bay Area where liberalism is particularly disgusting, but the masses for the most part don’t care.

* Well, they seem to have confused Hispanic with illegal alien. Hispanics who can vote in this year’s election are citizens with the same concerns about immigrants as other citizen voters. Remember immigrants can be Syrians, Libyans Somali, or whatever, not just Hispanics. Trump’s rhetoric may strike a chord with hardworking citizen Hispanics. But I don’t see any poll asking that.

* It’s not that they are indifferent to liberal elites – they are indifferent to politics… or for that matter just about any other middle- to high-brow activity.

Given their average IQ and educational profile, most of them are busy working menial jobs and having babies, with a nary a concern for higher socio-political issues. Blacks in this country are unique in that sense – they, despite their low IQ and educational profile as well, have a high degree of ideological cohesion and political activism.

* Anecdata: Hispanics I’ve interacted with seem to fit mainly into two overlapping categories.
First, somewhat fatalistic and disengaged from the broader world and current events.
Second, don’t care about issues outside family.
Politics must seem like a foreign language to them.

* Most Hispanics tend to be working-class or working-poor, and don’t pay a lot of attention to politics. Anyway, neither Hillary nor Trump are saying too many things that would greatly attract their support, though if the latter began strongly criticizing the BLM craziness that might change.

I’d guess that the most prestigious and highly-regarded career in the Hispanic community is becoming a law enforcement officer, probably with Army officer being a close second. Basically, if you think of Hispanics as being blue-collar Reagan Democrats, your predictions will be right 90% of the time. Since the entire BLM campaign represents an all-out attack on the police, it’s not a great way to gain Hispanic votes.

On the other hand, if some political candidate went around and said that America was being overwhelmed with incoming hordes of Irish rapists or Italian rapists or Polish rapists, that wouldn’t be a great way of attracting votes from those groups. But fortunately for him, Trump hasn’t been saying that too much recently, and memories are short.

I think a great source of confusion is that a pretty good fraction of the individuals who hang out here seem to be ethnic-nationalist types, even maybe fanatic ethnic-nationalist-types, and they naturally project their own attitudes upon everyone else. But Hispanics are probably one of the least ethnic-nationalist groups in America, so they don’t behave the way most of you assume they would.

* Steve, you might want to keep an eye on this Pokemon Go thing. Based on my experiences with it the past few days (there’s a major landmark across the street from my house, so we’ve seen a weird sudden upsurge in strangers suddenly wandering around our neighborhood), this is about to become a full-blown national crisis. Well, you know, a “crisis.”

I can already see the anguished SJW think pieces about how this reinforces white supremacy by giving white people license to wander around acting like they own the world.

Also, someone will inevitably get shot playing this game in the next week or so when they accidentally wander into the “wrong” place, however that might be defined. Should be a goldmine of iSteve material.

* I’m so bored with this particular ethnic segment of our society that the main comment I have is that I’m bored and for a good reason: they fill almost zero truly interesting niches. And it all goes back to genetics.

And if you think future generation indio-mestizo-white offspring will be different think again: Spain can never be Italy (or France–let alone Germany) because of the race-mixing that took place during the Muslim occupation. Magreb admixture keeps the Spanish national intellect second rate by European standards and it will continue to do so for a very long time.

It won’t be different in the USA.

I have posted here many times about large American cities across the southern tier of the country that have literally dropped off of the national radar screen because that’s what happens when you import millions of third rate talents and allow them to just take over.

* Living in the shadows has served the Hispanic community well since 1848. Why rock the boat? Perhaps this has has become part of the Hispano-American culture. Becoming a professional in any capacity (even as the manager of a McDonald’s or serving in the military in any rank) is a dream and aspiration for Hispanics that would be incompatible with rioting and burning down your own communities.

On the other hand, the African-American community has learned that creating fear in the White community has its benefits. BLM represents young blacks throwing childish and destructive tantrums without focus or purpose … all the while waiting for The Man to pay them off to go away. Just enough violence to foster the illusion that race war is just around the corner … unless. This likewise always seems to work.

Some have suggested that welfare as we know it was created for Blacks to keep them from rioting. (I’ll spend some time pondering this claim.) And, as a last resort, look at the recent proposals from conservatives to pay reparations to Blacks … something like a permanent minimum income in lieu of welfare for a population that will probably never function in an advanced industrial/information European society.

Agree that a goodly number of people who hang out at the Unz Review are ethnic nationalists. This is also one of the “headiest” sites on the Internet. Perhaps reason and ethnic nationalism (as opposed to globalization, Cultural Marxism, and “peace through diversity”) go together.

* All my black friends and acquaintances are politically illiterate, and arrogantly so.

Example: my friend was going on about black folk’s history of organizing, and brought up the NAACP a couple of times.

Me: You know the NAACP wasn’t founded by blacks. It was created and organized by Jews.

Him: No they didn’t!

Me: Google it.

Him: Okay, I will! Oh…

This guy considers himself as “Mr. Black History,” he loves to hold court over white people with no clue, so that error was pretty funny, as was the look on his face.

I tried giving some reasons why he might want to consider the republican party, and he finally said, “I just… can’t! I’m black! My entire family has always voted democrat. No matter what you say, I just… can’t!”

Me: I’ll bet you soup to nuts that up until the late 50′s, your entire family voted republican. For good reason. And you know dem social programs are killing black folks.

Him: Doesn’t matter. I just… can’t!

This guy is white collar, makes 100K a year, he’s politically retarded, and doesn’t care, or is too neurotic to function outside the status quo.

* There was a Pokemon called Koffing, known for emitting poisonous gasses, that could (can?) be caught at the Holocaust Museum. I about died laughing when I saw that.

* The main crux of African input into our political process are Facebook posts on American blackcentric sites calling for the killing of police officers.

A number of times, I’ve seen their reasoning to be based on “a life for a life.” I’m amazed Facebook allows them to rally for murder in a country they’ve never been to, and likely never will.

I can tell you, from the many posts I’ve read, the many Ghanan’s in particular are cheerleading on Facebook for american blacks to kill police officers.

* Hispanics seem content with liberal policies across the board and clearly prefer a robust welfare state. If there were even a significant number that were small government conservatives wouldn’t at least one Central American government developed that way in the last 100 years?

I think the ethnic tribalism in more national terms. Puerto Ricans don’t see themselves as part of the same group as Mexicans and vice versa.

* The problem is all those peaceful, hardworking roofers and landscapers will be disabled by age 50 if not 40. Their numerous children will be 90 IQ dullards whose teachers will tell them they are too good for their parents’ jobs and need to go to Degree Mill U. They’ll be the ones with higher levels of social pathology. And in the meantime, to my observation Amerinds see no shame in slurping up every penny of welfare they can.

* My wife is an immigrant from Chile. She laughs at our politicians and mocks how lame they appear. She is still amazed at the lack of passion projected by our politicians and cannot understand how they get people to vote for them. Just as we Americans mock how the Latin American politicians for being too emotional, they mock the gringo politicians for being so dry and lame. They still want and expect the politicians to make speeches like Mussolini or Fidel Castro.

Many hispanics experienced ruthless politicians , such as Allende in Chile who seized their families property and then had to deal with the Pinochet regime as he tortured and murdered the opposition. Similar actions accrued in many Latin American nations. Thus the difference between Hillary and Trump are almost not perceptible. Neither will round up the opposition for torture and executions. my wife rarely votes, but when she does it is always for the GOP candidate.

* There is no such thing as a hispanic person. It is purely a political category, not a cultural or racial one. “Hispanic” was created solely to get the kind of welfare benefits blacks were getting and to create a political group for professional activists (parasites) to pretend to give that group a voice so they can steal our tax dollars.

This is why the polls for “hispanics” are never accurate, because the group doesn’t actually exist. The group members do not share a common culture so they do not have similar desires.

* Why are mixed race blacks the most vocal and militant?

There are a couple of reasons. First of all, because if you are 100% truly black you have nothing to prove. African-africans are comfortable in their skin. Many of the Caribbean Blacks that I know express their contempt for the way many American Blacks behave openly and honestly. They come from virtually all black societies, so they take blackness as a neutral starting point and judge you on your behavior, not your skin color. In Jamaica you can’t give people extra points for being black or excuse their misbehavior on racial grounds because (virtually) everyone is black.

But if you are mixed then you need to prove your loyalty to the “team” that you have chosen by violently rejecting the other part of your identity and overpraising the selected team. This leads to self hatred and all other sorts of psychological distortions (Barack Obama calling the 85 year old white grandma who raised him a racist because she expressed an entirely reasonable fear of black thugs ). This is a well known phenomenon and has been going on as long as there have been half-breeds of any kind, which is to say all of history.

2nd, and this is mentioned less often for PC reasons – mostly sub-Saharan blacks often don’t have the mental horsepower to be effective advocates (they can be vocal in the sense of shouting but it doesn’t mean much). Someone like Skip Gates who has 50% European ancestry is more likely to have the IQ to put his point across in an intelligent way than a pure black. It’s not a coincidence that “talented tenth” is synonymous with “light skinned mulatto”. The leftist reasoning is that light skinned mulattoes were more accepted in white society but the real reason is that the IQ of mixed race people tends to track the weighted average IQ of their component races, so lighter = smarter as a statistical matter (of course there are individual outliers either way).
