Finding the source of men’s approach anxiety would help motivated and aspiring womanizers figure out plans of attack to overcome the AA psychological hurdle.

(It is plausible that approach anxiety evolved from a reality of the distant EEA past when chatting up a strange woman in your tribe or a neighboring tribe could easily get you killed by her brother, father, lover, or the jealous cavebeta orbiter.)

LAT: On Web, white supremacists stir up a growing and angry audience

On July 14, 2013, a white supremacist named Andrew Anglin, bewildered by black Americans’ outrage over the shooting death of Trayvon Martin, began typing out thoughts on what he saw as a distorted world.

“The whole George Zimmerman media psycho-drama has been completely insane from the beginning,” Anglin wrote on the Daily Stormer, the neo-Nazi website he had started, after a jury acquitted Zimmerman in the shooting death of Martin the year before. Anglin called Martin, an unarmed, black 17-year-old, a “crazed, savage attacker” and warned of a conspiracy by “blacks and the Jewish media” to cast the justice system as biased against blacks.

Born amid a backlash against the post-Trayvon Martin movement drawing attention to racial bias, the site has exploded to prominence among white supremacists as #BlackLivesMatter protests stretched coast to coast. According to the website traffic tracking site SimilarWeb, by the end of 2013 Daily Stormer had more visitors than the rival Vanguard News Network, which has been around since 2003.

The Southern Poverty Law Center, which monitors hate groups, said in a March report that during the previous six months Daily Stormer’s Web traffic on some days even surpassed that of Stormfront.org, the oldest and largest hate site.

Anglin, in an interview Tuesday with The Times, attributed his website’s popularity to his approach, which avoids long, online essays in favor of short, catchy posts.

“I wanted something punchy and funny and enjoyable to read,” Anglin said. “My ideology is very simple. I believe white people deserve their own country…. There’s not really anything that can happen that can affect my ideology because it’s so simple and straightforward.”

LAT: What happens when a millennial goes fascist? He starts up a neo-Nazi site

Andrew Anglin, 30, the publisher of the neo-Nazi website Daily Stormer, wouldn’t say where he was.

He wouldn’t even say if he was in America.

Anglin has gotten a lot of media requests after the Southern Poverty Law Center said Dylann Roof, the man accused of killing nine black parishioners in Charleston, S.C., last week, was possibly a commenter on the Daily Stormer, Anglin said in a Skype audio interview Tuesday.

Anglin decided to respond to a Los Angeles Times interview request because — it’s a small world — he saw the reporter tweet Monday night about reading “The Forever War,” a classic and widely hailed 1974 science-fiction novel by Joe Haldeman about a human war against an alien race that lasts for centuries. Coincidentally, Anglin had also just read it.

“It seems like the mainstream media generally doesn’t want to talk about my site that much,” said Anglin, whose site uses racist terms, features a section called “Race War” and regularly trumpets stories about crimes with white victims and black suspects.

“Right now, a divide is happening. And there are only going to be two sides. Either you are with the SJWs [social justice warriors] or you are with the Fascists,” Anglin wrote in a May 29 post.

Sample headline: “Blacks Loved Slavery and Regretted Its End.”

Anglin created Daily Stormer — named after the notorious Nazi tabloid “Der Stürmer” — around the time that George Zimmerman, who shot and killed black 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, was on trial for murder.

However, Anglin said the Zimmerman trial wasn’t the reason he created the site, whose readership has grown every quarter since 2013, according to website-traffic-tracking site SimilarWeb.

“I wanted something punchy and funny and enjoyable to read, and something that anybody can get something out of,” said Anglin, who previously ran a site called “Total Fascism,” which featured longer essays.

“A lot of people on the Internet prefer to write long essays, which a lot of people don’t read, which have a limited audience. … My ideology is very simple. I believe white people deserve their own country. … There’s not really anything that can happen that can affect my ideology because it’s so simple and straightforward.”

Anglin, who lists a mailing address in Worthington, Ohio, also doesn’t believe that violence is necessary to bring about a white nationalist revolution, but that the first step is to disseminate information — hence the Daily Stormer.

“There could be all types of different peaceful solutions if you were able to publicly discuss these issues and look for goals that make sense. Right now, you’re not even allowed to discuss this publicly on any level,” Anglin said. “The first thing that needs to be done with any of this is have a public conversation about this.”

Today, Anglin said, “information flows in a completely different way and we’re able to have a discussion where everybody can be included in it and the truth of the matter can be found.” (Anglin’s Twitter icon calls for Twitter to lift its ban on controversial conservative blogger Chuck Johnson.)

Anglin’s site, although unique in its combination of fascism with a millennial tone, does not differ greatly in ideology from many white-supremacist websites that traffic in negative stories about African Americans and Jews. The Southern Poverty Law Center does not keep count of such websites, but says the number of hate groups across the country has increased by 30% since 2000.

In 2012, the center counted 186 Ku Klux Klan groups, with 52 separate websites, in addition to hundreds of other groups described as white nationalist, neo-Nazi and skinhead groups, most with websites.

That doesn’t mean those sites are aligned with Anglin’s vitriolic ways, however. Far from it.

“Oh, you poor boy,” Jared Taylor, a “race realist” who publishes American Renaissance, said in an interview when a reporter mentioned reading the Daily Stormer. “They have an extremely harsh, dismissive and insulting tone toward blacks. I think that kind of rhetoric is extremely unhelpful.”

The blog “Alternative Right” in 2014 posted that “hatred, among the weak and the feeble, is often simply transmogrified fear, which is one of the odours emanating from The Daily Stormer and its audience, who feel attracted to Anglin’s schtick in the same way that poor, downtrodden Whites are attracted to monster trucks and professional wrestling.”

“It is hard not to conclude that Anglin is a paid shill and agent provocateur, whose purpose is simply to infest and discredit White nationalism,” the post concluded.

Other hardliners have previously raised questions whether Anglin was mixed-race — a big no-no among white supremacists, as you may have guessed. That led Anglin to publish photos of his family to demonstrate his racial heritage.

* A New York-based Israeli locksmith describes how he makes his living. When called at night by a customer who had locked himself out, he fiddles with the lock as if to gain entry. He then “inadvertently” breaks it, which leaves the customer with the options of spending the night in an unlocked home or having a new lock installed on the spot for double the normal cost.

* European associates perceive the Israelis they work with…as liars, thieves, and untrustworthy manipulators.

* The second pattern related to the Israeli proclivity to push the envelope, by hook or by crook, is the culture’s permeable attitude toward boundaries. An extreme example is provided by an Israeli woman who was, in the 1970s associated with a radical leftist political organization that was tracked by the government security apparatus. While a university student, she started a relationship with a man who told her he was trailing her as part of his job for the Shabak… On a more ordinary, cultural level, compared to Americans, say, Israelis are far more open with respect to their innermost thoughts: sex, money, family troubles. They’ll be the first to tell you what you should do about such personal matters, what you should think, or what you do think but don’t seem to know.

* An Israeli patient of mine reported on his treatment in Israel as a nineteen-year old. His psychologist once told him, as he struggled with sexual insecurity, that if he didn’t have sex with a girl he was friendly with by the following session, he shouldn’t bother coming back. The patient discussed it with the girl in question, and with her cooperation he did obey the authority, perhaps because the therapist herself seemed like a rebel.

* David Grossman’s To the End of the Land: Suddenly he starts crying that he doesn’t want to be Jewish anymore, because they always kill us and always hate us, and he knows this because all the holidays are about it. And the adults look at one another, and a brother-in-law mumbles that it is kind of difficult to argue with that, and his wife says, “Don’t be paranoid,” and he quotes “that in every generation, they rise up against us to destroy us” and she replies that it’s not exactly scientific fact, and that maybe we should examine our own role in the whole “rising up against us business…”

* Israeli psychologist Ofer Grosbard likens Israel, the country, to the psychotherapy patient who insists in the initial consultation that nothing is wrong with him. The problem, he tells the therapist, is that he is so talented, so exceptional and so successful that everyone else is simply envious and hateful toward him.

* Most Israelis have little empathy for Palestinians…while Israelis have a thin skin when it comes to their own suffering.

Asians Are Bright

Dr. James Thompson writes: The IQ view of the world is that the citizens of China, Japan and Korea are brighter than citizens of Europe and the other European derived countries that comprise The West. Not only do Orientals, or Far Easteners, or East Asians get higher scores on intelligence tests, but they also do extremely well on scholastic tests, including Maths and Science. Therefore, we would assume that they would be over-represented in the highest realms of scientific achievement, and collect more than their population-based share of Nobel prizes.

Not so. Europeans gain 20 times as many prizes as Orientals. Are the intelligence tests wrong, or do Orientals lack some other essential ingredient of genius? Talking of which, have you heard the story about the Dutchman, the Finn and the Japanese gentleman? How on earth have Kenya Kura (Gifu Shotoku Gakuen University, Japan), Jan te Nijenhuis (University of Amsterdam) and Edward Dutton (University of Oulu, Finland) managed to get together? Such an improbable trio can only have arisen from the London Conference on Intelligence, and whose next conference will be in May 2016. The trio say: From ancient natural philosophy to modern physics, the history of science has been dominated by Europeans. It would not be controversial to state that the most distinguished scholars in the world post-1900 have been Nobel laureates and Fields medalists. Table 1 shows the number these prominent people by racial category, which is taken from Lynn (2007 ), and here extended to 2014. Table 1 shows that Europeans have won 0.6 Nobel Prizes and Fields Medals per million, whilst the Northeast Asians have won only 0.03 per million, which is about one twentieth of the Europeans’ achievement.

In simple figures, the score is: Europeans 626, Northeast Asians 35, South Asian/North African 14, Africans 2.

Discussing the anomaly that Northeast Asians are bright but don’t achieve the highest levels of scholarship, they say: Jews are very good students and at the same time good scholars. Conversely, Northeast Asians are exceptional students, but they make up only 8–9% of university professors in 2011 (National Center for Educational Statistics) and less than 5% of Nobel laureates.

What is going on? Under the rubric of “Novelty Seeking” the authors say: To become a successful scientist, one has to be interested in something novel, which requires intellectual curiosity. This kind of mentality is not required in student life, where theories and relevant facts are already systematically presented in textbooks. Rote memory is not, however, suﬃcient to become a good scientist. Some kind of novel perspective is necessary to extend or replace established ways of thinking.

They add: analyses by Simonton (1998, 2009) have found that more original thinkers are moderately high in aspects of psychopathic personality, such as low Conscientiousness and low Agreeableness, which they combine with very high intelligence.

They continue: People high in individualism actively seek for associations, friendships, and partners in a horizontal relationship without a strong authority. Europeans score high on individualism, and science requires this individualistic mindset. When goals are deﬁned by the state or the organization one belongs to, it is much more diﬃcult to pursue private values. [ ] Individualistic mentality has been indexed by the Dutch comparative psychologist Geert Hofstede (1980, 2002), reporting a diﬀerence of 1.98 standard deviations between major European countries and six Northeast Asian countries.

The authors create a genetics-based curiosity index q using proxies for novelty-seeking, social anxiety, and fear of exclusion, which they then test. Here are the national results. (By the way, note the high score for Spain).

Model 1 with IQ alone (5% variance explained) is not as good as Model 2 with IQ and curiosity (19% variance explained). Standard errors of the estimate (remember those?) are reduced in model 2. They conclude: The novel approach speciﬁed three genetic underpinnings of individualistic curiosity: DRD4 7-repeat, 5HTTLPR long allele, and OPRM1. Then these gene frequencies were incorporated into the derivation of q indices of nations, as a measure of the tendency to be curious and independent-minded. Lastly, we found that the regression analysis showed that not only IQ but also the q index is important for a population to produce prominent scholars.

They end with a final flourish: Our ﬁndings suggest that not only general intelligence, but also various genetic diﬀerences among populations have played crucial roles in the progress of science. Future research could focus on the question whether the mean q index is the same for original populations and immigrant populations. For instance, all awards to Chinese prize winners were awarded for work carried out at European institutes. Traditionally, Chinese culture has been more conservative than that of Europe and relatively unwelcoming of or even hostile toward new ideas and does not allow single researchers to be outstanding, which is often ascribed to the Confucian doctrine ( Wade, 2014) . This knowledge would enable us to decompose national academic attainments into inﬂuences of genetic factors and purely cultural transmissions.

It would seem that although Northeast Asians are brighter than Europeans on intelligence by about 5 IQ points they are lower in q, a proxy for individualistic curiosity. So, disorganised, uncooperative, individualistic and eccentric Europeans may still have a place in the new global economy, if only as comedians telling jokes about Japanese, Dutch and Finnish researchers.

* Agreed: if President Trump does nothing but build a proper fence, deport most of the illegals, and restore law and order to our policy of immigration, I wouldn’t give a hoot if he spent the rest of his term hawking shirt-and-tie sets from the Rose Garden.

* I don’t think he’s much of a small-government conservative, and I’m not totally sure whether he’s an authentic nationalist either– he seems like a Davos Man/Joe the Plumber hybrid which is now counterintuitively a very successful strain in the present media culture. I just tell all the creeps that he’s my candidate for sick enjoyment’s sake; I like to see the paroxysms, pointing & sputtering with which the Harvard/Stanford/Columbia brown-nosers become biblically stricken, just by Trump’s continued domination of column inches… This sad partnership of no-life turtlenecked hipsters and elderly geeks, who chatter about political intrigue from the moment they wake up until when they pass out at their iPads for the evening, has metamorphosed into wailing babies before our eyes. They just can’t stand not getting what they want. Grand prize to George F. Will. Screw them. To quote Stanley Ann Dunham “they are NOT my people.” Oh yeah– I also agree in the main on Trump’s stated thoughts regarding skilled worker visas, E-Verify, border enforcement… I’ll worry later if he’s the best candidate to deliver on those.

* After the last few brushes with Republican endorsed amnesty, which had the conservative constituents melting the phone lines of congress, most of us became single-issue-voters. That issue is the border and immigration. We want a defended border and immigration policy that benefits the populace, not the corporations.

We have fought and refought this issue with Republicans in congress, and in doing so it has become clear that the once allied business sector of the USA is now a full on enemy of the American worker and the average American. Because Big Business dissolved the former alliance with social conservatives, we now wish to abolish the pro-corporate policies of Reagan and Bush. Tax em all to hell. Oh, they’ll flee, you say? They already do. They show zero loyalty, so screw them. The only fiscal conservatives left are millionaires and billionaires.

Trump has tapped into the single issue of immigration deliberately. He may betray us on that, and he may not. But either he will do what he says, or he will rend the Republican party (our corporate enemy) to shreds. Or both. It becomes a win-win-win situation. Viva Trump!

* News stories are blasting Trump for not correcting someone who referred to the president as a Muslim as though he were obligated to rush in to protect Obama’s honor. They’re really scraping the barrel to come up with something to use against him.

* Real conservative means wanting to ban abortion, cut taxes for the wealthy, and provoke land wars in Asia.

Promises of free willing young blonde girls attract Arabs to Sweden

Report: A tax-financed luxury living with free housing, sky high welfare benefits and their own “blonde beauty” as a girlfriend. These are some of the promises that immigrants from the Arab world currently are receiving to make a pilgrimage to Sweden, according to a investigative report in Dala-Demokraten.

Right now, over a thousand immigrants a day, most of whom are men, are seeking asylum in Sweden.

Many people have asked themselves why so many Arabs choose to go through Europe to get to the little country far up north, where the summer is autumn and the winter lasts until summer.

In its report, Dala-Demokraten states that most of the so-called refugees are already residing in Syria’s neighboring countries, where there is no war, but takes to northern Europe for economic reasons.

Expectations of Sweden in particular are soaring, according to the newspaper. On the sites where smugglers go out with information, Sweden is singled out as the best country to go to: You get asylum quickly and you can soon get a family reunion.

On the sites, the migrants are also promised a tax-funded life of luxury. They are told that they must stay in luxury hotels until the government has found a free accommodation to them. Then they can sit back and let the Swedish taxpayers bear all their costs of living.

There is also sexual content in the advertisements, according to Dala-Demokraten. Among other things, the Arabs are promised their own free young willing blond Swedish girlfriend if they manage to illegally get all the way to the promised land in northern Europe (article picture).

“In reality one can say that the young Syrian men are lured to Sweden by the oldest trick in the book – money and girls. Pictures of blonde beauties are published, and that Swedish women require real men,” writes Dala-Demokraten.

How Angela Merkel Wrecked Europe Forever

* It’s amazing how just one person and her party can in such a short time wreak such havoc on the continent of Europe. This idiocy could change the demographics of Europe forever. The Germans apparently didn’t think it necessary to consult with any of the other countries before taking steps that would affect them very deeply. What happens now to the invaders who don’t make it to Germany and onto their welfare gravy train? Will they roam around Europe in gypsy-like bands robbing and leeching off the natives? The invaders could be repatriated if the will to do so exists; millions were moved around during and after WWII so it can be accomplished. If there’s one thing the Balkans doesn’t need it’s Muslims; they have unpleasant memories of them. The Germans need to pay the bill for all this and start writing some big checks to everyone.

* Shockingly, refugees pay attention to news about which countries might be letting in refugees, and respond to incentives. Who could possibly have foreseen such an outcome?

* It isn’t too early to note those in the prestige media and beyond that were once again played for fools. The term I coined for them is Digital Cannon Fodder. Thus your references to WWI are at least for me particularly apt. With regularity, war is declared and there is always a ready supply of eager recruits volunteering to be first out of the trenches. What distinguishes Digital Cannon Fodder from it’s original namesake is they can participate in as many battles as they like, only leaving their reputations dead or soon to be. Though I cannot remember the last time there was an official Body Count.

Hillary’s email scandal is a classic example. “Okay, when I blow the whistle start running toward the enemy’s trenches yelling ‘Irrelevant!’ or ‘Ha ha, what a joke!’ Indeed, the Clintons are the husband and wife team equivalent of Field Marshal Sir Douglas Haig

Ann Coulter Calls Fury Over Jewish-Debate Tweet “Fake Outrage”: “I’m Pro-Israel”

Hollywood Reporter: “It’s totally fake outrage from frauds who want to continue the dump of third-worlders on the country, including Muslim Jihadists, and voted for the guy who just gave a nuke to Iran,” says the conservative pundit.

Conservative pundit Ann Coulter, under the gun for tweeting about Jews and Israel during Wednesday night’s GOP debate, says her tweets were “ripped out of context, chopped up and sent out in tweets with inflammatory headings.”

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, she also says that the ones who are using her tweets to bash her are “mostly Israel-hating liberals and pro-mass-immigration Republicans. Both of whom don’t want anyone to notice how immigration is changing the country, putting Americans — and Israel — at risk.”

The columnist and TV personality set off the firestorm with tweets criticizing Republicans for talking too much about Israel in Wednesday’s CNN debate featuring Donald Trump, Carly Fiorina, Ted Cruz, Mike Huckabee, Marco Rubio and more.

“Cruz, Huckabee Rubio all mentioned ISRAEL in their response to: ‘What will AMERICA look like after you are president,’ ” read one tweet.

“How many f—ing Jews do these people think there are in the United States?” read another post that accused the presidential hopefuls of pandering to Jewish voters.

Among the thousands criticizing her via social media on Thursday was actor-filmmaker Seth Rogen, who wrote to Coulter: “You’re a horrible f—ing idiot.”

To be sure, Coulter also accused the GOP debaters of pandering to Republicans who are pro-life and fans of former President Ronald Reagan.

“I like the Jews, I like fetuses, I like Reagan. Didn’t need to hear applause lines about them all night,” she tweeted.

Coulter is supporting Trump for president because the issue that matters to her most is illegal immigration.

“The GOP wastes half these debates on issues on which there is already 100 percent agreement,” she told THR. “The GOP is pro-Israel. I’m pro-Israel. … How, exactly, do these Republicans propose to defend Israel, when no Republican can get elected president anymore because of immigration? How is an endless series of President Obamas going to protect Israel?”

Coulter told THR that the charge that she is anti-Semitic is “laughable.”

“Anyone with a pulse knows I am pro-Israel and against the enemies of the Jewish people. I have a whole chapter in my current book praising Israel and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. It’s the people attacking me who couldn’t care less about Israel or Jews,” she said.

You Can’t Close The IQ Gap Between Races

Casey: “I don’t understand the obsession with “the achievement gap.” Wouldn’t it serve everyone best to make sure our smartest students are in accelerated classes with other smart kids so they can eventually build great things? If we insist on putting them in classrooms where they emphasis is on dragging the dead weight average or dull students along, the smart ones can’t possibly learn as much as they would have if the teacher was focused on their success. It jut seems like getting everyone to “barely competent” isn’t as sane a goal as helping the few brilliant ones invent stuff we dullards can all use twenty years from now. An elitist education secretary would be refreshing.”

An academic researcher has suggested that academic achievement “gaps” between different groups of pupils cannot be closed as differences in intelligence cannot be “erased”.

Ritchie has a new primer on IQ out: Intelligence: All That Matters.

Speaking to Schools Week after Saturday’s event, Dr Ritchie said teachers should not dismiss IQ tests.
“There is a very strong correlation between IQ and certain factors, such as mortality. Research with more than one million subjects shows this is not just a coincidence. It is strong evidence.
“Research shows that education can improve intelligence. But you cannot get away from the fact that is a genetic [intelligence] trait.
“There are various aspects of the environment that can improve intelligence – malnourished kids get poorer scores – but that is not as much of a problem in the UK.”
One delegate on Saturday asked Dr Ritchie: “If [achievement] difference is so genetic what does that mean for attempts to close the gap between pupils with disadvantaged and less advantaged backgrounds?”
He responded: “It means it is much more difficult than people assume.”
Dr Ritchie explained that while there is some evidence that environments can impact intelligence, most research suggested that education could lift all people’s intelligence, but not even it out.
“But maybe making everyone equal is not what we are looking for. Maybe we are looking for bringing everyone up, and everyone doing the best they can do, rather than only bringing up those at the lower end.”
Another audience member asked why [they] should be a teacher if the result “has nothing to do with [them]”.
Previous academic studies found that schooling could increase the average (mean) intelligence across cohorts, Dr Ritchie said.
“You could theoretically increase everyone’s intelligence, though the heritability levels stays the same. So you could think about raising people’s mean intelligence and not erasing the difference. So it is less likely that we can equalise intelligence — and not everyone even wants to do that — but it is much more likely we can raise mean intelligence than erase differences.”

In 2010 in VDARE, I proposed:

So what goal do I propose instead of Closing The Gap?
My goal, instead, would be to raise the average performance of all racial groups by half a standard deviation.
In other words, both goals are intended to improve the national average by half a standard deviation—but the Gates-Obama-Bush-Kennedy consensus wants to do it entirely by raising the scores of the minority half.
Which objective sounds more achievable?
Mine, obviously, for two reasons:
– Diminishing marginal returns: a one standard deviation improvement is not merely twice as hard to accomplish as a half-standard deviation performance, it’s much harder.
– Real improvements tend to better everybody’s performance. For example, I can drive a golf ball farther off the tee than I could 15 years ago because driver technology has significantly improved. (Clubheads are approaching the size of toasters, so you can now take a wild swipe at the ball without fear of whiffing). But then, Phil Mickelson can also hit the ball farther, too. So the pro-hacker gap in driving distance hasn`t closed.
In summary: my aim is both more achievable, more fair, and more sensible than the Gates-Obama-Bush-Kennedy consensus.

* Blacks are good at music. Even blacks with an IQ that in a white person would render him or her totally dysfunctional are often capable of exceptional musical ability, by normal white standards.

Many Whites condemn black music out of hand because they think gangsta rap is typical black music, but there are many groups of blacks doing many kinds of music. Although none of them have the harmonic rigor of Mozart or Bach, most are also not overtly violent, destructive or antisocial. I’m thinking of many Caribbean forms, but also of the Hammond organ playing in hundreds of black churches, the sacred steel guitar in a few others, and indeed most of the jazz and mainstream classic pop black performers in the US. To say nothing of Chuck Berry, Jimi Hendrix, the Fifth Dimension, and indeed a good part of the Motown catalog.

A few of these people are pretty smart even by white standards-I think Motown owner Berry Gordy and Quincy Jones are both probably at least 120 IQ-but the majority of black musicians I have met and talked to are probably less intelligent overall than the average white person in America. For that matter, of course, many famous white performers are on the backside of the Bell Curve.

Can one enjoy blacks’ composition and performance of music-and for that matter their athletic achievements-and still recognize that the same people can’t run a functioning society? That they can’t organize amongst themselves to accomplish anything taking long term planning, that they can’t keep from eating the seed corn and butchering the milk cow for an immediate feast, that the instruments they often play so deftly would never exist if it weren’t for outside forces?
