Patriots Beat Cowboys

Sunday afternoon, I ran down Wilshire Blvd. looking for a sports bar (NFL rules required KCBS TV to show the Chargers-Raiders game, so I needed a bar with NFL ticket).

I couldn’t find one.

By 2 p.m., I arrived at Barney’s Beanery in West Hollywood. The place was jammed. I stood up for the next two-and-a-half hours, sipping Diet Cokes. Eventually, a long line formed outside of Barney’s, trying to get in.

I don’t think the Patriots stopped the Cowboys. The Cowboys stopped themselves with dropped passes and stupid penalties. Aside from the interception late in the game, Cowboys QB Tony Romo was superb.
